Prices are extortionate for the special gallery viewings and was incredibly crowded when I went. No organisation from the staff to ensure efficient customer flow in and out of the gallery.

William Turner's collection is very beautiful, in general the museum is beautiful and full of works. I recommend it to everyone even though I think the national gallery and the British museum are a little more valid

Worth coming often. Tend to go to the Tate Modern usually but this has some great exhibitions. Also not so crowded much more sedate.
The architecture is great white walls, winding stairs. Recommended.
Food and tea not so good but ok.

It's very big.

It's very big.
It has different themes of modern art.
It also has an outside area where you can see the outside it gives you a nice view of London.
It's very clean and the staff is very friendly.
It's great for art lovers and for people who are looking for a free view of London.

One of the first museums to visit in London. Tate has two buildings in London, and if Tate Modern is a museum of contemporary art, Tate Britain displays contemporary art, focusing on collections up to modern times.
Even a permanent exhibition that can be enjoyed for free is a must-see collection, including the famous Turner collection.
Planned exhibitions held several times a year are wonderful because they read more about the artist and the times. However, it is recommended that you make an online reservation beforehand because popular exhibitions may not be available at the desired time of the day.
On the first Friday of every month, it opens as a late at tate until 21:30, and DJs enter and hold events, stages, and workshops throughout the building in a lively atmosphere.

Some wonderful, some strange, some classical: there are so many exhibits with a huge variety on show. The fact it's free entry for all is brilliant allowing access for anyone interested

One of my favourite places in London. It's just the right size, the quality of the paintings is amazing and varied so that it never really gets boring. I would consider spending no less than 2 hours here. The main room alone is worth a visit to this museum.

Bonus points because it's way less crowded than other top attractions in the city, for example the more central (and overhyped?) Tate Modern. This makes the atmosphere much more relaxed and pleasant.

The temporary expositions are a bit of a hit or miss, but sometimes they end up being positive surprises.

Visited to see the Van Gogh exhibition and it did not disappoint. A fantastic insight into this troubled man. Plenty of well known pieces on view. The rest of the gallery is also worth looking at, and is free of charge.

Tate Britain (known from 1897 to 1932 as the National Gallery of British Art and from 1932 to 2000 as the Tate Gallery) is an art museum on Millbank in the City of Westminster in London. It is part of the Tate network of galleries in England, with Tate Modern, Tate Liverpool and Tate St Ives. It is the oldest gallery in the network, having opened in 1897. It houses a substantial collection of the art of the United Kingdom since Tudor times, and in particular has large holdings of the works of J. M. W. Turner, who bequeathed all his own collection to the nation. It is one of the largest museums in the country.

The Tate Britain is home to some classic pieces of art. They usually have 3 or 4 interesting exhibitions going on each month. A good idea to book online if you want to see a particular one. Otherwise, you're free to walk in wonder around and take in the history and the culture!

A very good selection of art is included in the free section. There are always some excibitions that require payment. I also like the electronic option to buy copies of the paintings that get delivered to your home.

A brilliant variety of exhibitions and access to so many areas is completely free. I came on this occasion to see the Don McCullin photography exhibition and it was absolutely excellent.

The section dedicated to Turner is exciting, not too small, indeed. The rooms are divided by era, the museum is very easy to navigate. Too bad for some paintings placed at the top (perhaps to remember the exhibitions of past centuries? Who knows). In any case, a must, both for enthusiasts and, above all, for scholars.
