Tapper's Diamonds & Fine Jewelry is a family owned "jewel" (sorry for the pun) where old-fashioned personal service and attention to detail are still part of daily practice. The fact that they are factory-authorized retailers for so many high-end manufacturers should give comfort to anyone anticipating a major jewelry purchase. Their own product line is also of notable high quality and is a relative bargain if one does not need an internationally-recognized brand label to validate a purchase. What a wonderful neighborhood resource. Special kudos to Sanford and Leah.

I originally went there to try on the Grand Seiko watch I had read so much about. There I met Eric who showed me the collection. As impressive as the watches were that I tried on, I came to realize that the Grand Seiko I was looking for was the 20th Anniversary blue mosaic dial which was no longer available as it was a limited edition of just 1,500 pieces. Eric did say he would talk to his rep to see if there may be any available. I searched online for about a month and found one out of Atlanta, GA. Even though Eric didn't sell me the piece he was open to sharing his expert opinion and I brought it in and he even had it sized to my wrist with no charge. He is professional, knowledgeable and very passionate about what he does and goes above and beyond to satisfy his clientele.

I will never go back to this store again. The owner was extremely rude for no reason when he realized I was not a cash cow. I recommend this place if you are uneducated on the product you are buying, dont care about getting a good value, and enjoy being around snotty people.

Courtney was very professional and helpful. She went above and beyond to help me with my purchase. I asked many questions and they were all answered appropriately and professionally. I definitely will refer her as well as return to her for my next purchase!

Natalie was fantastic. Initially I was expecting a 1 to 2 month wait to receive a Rolex Seadweller 43mm. Miraculously, Natalie was able to obtain my dream watch in 2 days. I was ecstatic! Came to have a battery changed. Lady who waited on me seemed to have an attitude, both when I dropped off the watch and picked it up 1 hour later. My daughter noticed as it was very apparent. Another gentleman had made some sort of purchase she was all smiles gave a hug a mentioned he could come back for gift wrapping and she would take care of him! Mean while the guys working the door as security was awesome very engaging and personal....makes you wonder who needs a job change!

I have visited the Twelve Oaks location on multiple occasions for purchasing luxury timepieces. Tom (Thomas O' Neill) @ Twelve Oaks Mall location has been simply outstanding in his customer service and professionalism. He takes time to understand the needs thoroughly and patiently. Tom does not engage in high pressure sales but always provides his insights and advice when requested or appropriate. He has quickly been able to develop the level of trust needed for making high end purchases. Looking forward to more purchases in future.

Tappers has repaired and cleaned my diamond wedding ring several times over the past 20 years. My ring has two textures and daily wear causes scratching on the smooth side and a dulling of the brushed side. I recently took it in for a broken prong. My ring looks brand new again and I find myself admiring how beautiful it is! They do exceptional work and I trust them with something that is very precious to me.

Had a great experience with Eric S. From the west Bloomfield location. My wife had a particular interest in Grand Seiko, in particular a highly sought model from the seasons collection. Eric went out of his way to allocate the watch and included some extra goodies to go along with a purchase as a surprise gift for my wife. He was courteous, professional, and always going the extra mile. In addition his knowledge regarding the various brands was probably the best in the store.

Eric helped me tremendously with my first ever purchase of a piece from Tapper's. He was collected, eloquent, kind, respectful, and most importantly knowledgeable. He gave me a hundred options to choose from (giving me lots of info regarding the dainty jewelry I was looking for and the rainbow trunk show) and never pressed me to choose. Eric was easily the most down to Earth person I've met in a jewelry store. I highly recommend asking to be helped by him if you're looking for someone to listen to you, support you with a wide body of knowledge, reinforce your decision, and to overall create an optimistic and celebratory environment. Every experience that begins at Tappers is always welcoming and professional. Every sales associate is friendly and eager to assist me. Customer service like this is hard to come by and always pleasant to encounter.

Tapper's is truly a "class act." Late last year I began looking for an engagment ring to propose to my now Fiancee. My search began with seeking out that perfect diamond, and ended with a beatifully crafted piece designed by Steve Tapper.

In looking for diamonds, I worked directly with Steve who was patient, understanding, and I felt truly wanted me to have the most positive experience he could deliver. He took his time to explain to me the process, help me understand the qualities of a beautiful diamond. Next, he worked closely with me to ensure that I chose a diamond that would fit my needs perfectly. Throughout, Steve did not push or prod, he did not try to "sell" me on any particular diamond, rather he took time to get to know me and my fiancee and was a guiding hand providing suggestions at every turn.

If you are looking for a custom jewelry piece, be it engagement ring, pendant, future family heirloom, etc. then I highly recommend seeking out Tapper's custom jewelry team and working with Steve. Time and again they go above and beyond, and I can assure them that they have my business whenever I am need of a fine piece of jewelry.

I went to Tappers because they made my parent's rings, which are still in excellent condition over 30 years later. Though I don't live in the area, Steven was a pleasure to work with over the phone and e-mail. I first sent him pictures of rings I liked portions of (the band, setting, prongs, etc.). He did an amazing job putting them all together sent me back several drawings and eventually CAD sketches. He was incredibly patient as we went back and forth with little detail changes fielding numerous phone calls and e-mails. He clearly wanted to make sure I was 100% satisfied and was willing to go through however many edits were needed to get it right.

He was also incredibly helpful finding a stone. I would normally be nervous getting the stone without seeing it in person, but Steven is the type of person who earns your trust, and I'm sure glad I trusted him.

He was upfront about pricing, quotes, and different options.He actually came in toward the bottom end of the range I provided.

We're sure to be going back to him to design our bands.

The whole staff was so helpful in helping me purchase a David Yurman ring. I have small fingers and had to have the ring resized twice, and Tappers did it all in one day. Fernando came out multiple times to test the size, so he was able to get the fit just right. Incredibly happy with the fantastic service. Thank you!

Took a Stephen Webster bracelet in to be sized. They took off several beads but left an inch and half of the wire the beads were strung on exposed. Looked ridiculous. Talked to saleswoman who tried to convince me that it was beautiful. So I let her know it was unacceptable! So give it back. They agree to put another bead back on bracelet to fill in gap on wire. Come back to pick it up and they pit all the beads back on so the bracelet was as exactly as it was when I first brought it In. The jeweler comes out to explain this nonsense. She had no explanation as to why they would treat a paying customer like this. I felt like I was at a Walmart. Jeweler agrees to fix the bracelet. So on my third time in there after being measured several times I got my bracelet. Can you imagine, handing back to a customer who came in for sizing, the exact same size item and charging them!

I have been shopping at Tappers since they opened their doors In Southfield. Nina Eisenberg has been my families sales person since she started with Tappers. Every piece of jewelry that my family owns has been purchased at Tappers. No matter what value the purchase is, we are always treated with the same smiles and respect. My wife and I recently moved to Florida, and we still shop with Tappers. They are the only jeweler we trust. I recently purchased a new watch, completely done long distance, no problems whatsoever, and it was sent by FedEx overnight. Gold star experience. I was cheated by Tappers on a 21 kt. Gold bracelet . They gave me $350 and told me that they were going above and beyond for me. I had 5 bracelets all alike that were my grandmother's from the past. I next went to Troy Jewelers on Rochester Road and was given $400 each time that I sold 1 as I needed money from time to time. Jacob and Tony the owner's of Troy Jewelers told me that these were 21kt. each and treated me with respect. Don't SELL anything to TAPPERS.

When my wife lost her engagement ring - I called mark (Tapper). I can't imagine another jeweler being more helpful.... In addition to Mark assisting me with the insurance claim (which was above and beyond), he spent countless hours searching to find an exact replacement match and aggressively followed up until the matter was settled. Thank you Mark and the entire Tappers Family for continuing to be there for my family.

What a 5 star experience! I went looking for an engagement ring and I walked into the most hospitable and upstanding service people in Michigan. Steve Tappers personally introduced himself to me and helped me along with his associate to help me find the best ring within my budget. Now, I didn't get my ring from the store, but I certainly wish I did. The rings are nice and flawless and they have a wide variety if diamonds to choose from.

Today I purchased a new rolex GMT Batman men s watch. I arrived at 10am. I was in and out in 20 mins. The service here is great! I have also purchased a ever rose gold root beer GMT from this location also and they don t disappoint!
