This is the second vehicle we have purchased from Tansky Toyota and the third vehicle we have purchased from outstanding salesman RICHARD NORMAN. We received excellent service with Tansky's maintenance previously and look forward to it again with our new vehicle. Richard has provided us excellent service with all of our purchases (the first two were at a different dealer). We were pleasantly surprised to see him at Tansky Toyota. We came in initially inquiring about trading in our minivan and he told us he would let us know when an SUV came in that we were looking for. He anticipated our needs and a few days later Richard phoned us that a vehicle was in and he invited us to come by to test drive it. We told him when we would be by and when we showed up, not only was he looking for us but he had the new SUV already out front with the hazard lights flashing and ready for us to test drive it. When we returned and decided to buy it, he wonderfully managed to have it cleaned so we could drive it home that day even though it was late. The day after the sale, we had a question about the vehicle and told him we would be by. He made himself available to help when we arrived. I really appreciate his attention, help, and service and look forward to continuing our relationship with him as he has consistently provided us this excellent service. I've dealt with Germain and a few of the Byers places, and the awful Dan Tobin dealership and they were all over-the-top with gimmicks, annoying enthusiasm and false statements. Richard made everything clear, made the process easy, and didn't make buying a car a day-long saga.

My Toyota lease expires soon, so Toyota Financial Services called me and passed my info on to Rebecca at Tansky so she could help me figure out what to do next. Rebecca spent several hours with my husband and me, talking over all of the options and showing us different models. She was very funny and pleasant to work with. Thanks to her patience in going over lots of details with us, we decided to purchase a Prius. I'm glad Rebecca was so helpful, because this whole process could have been very stressful, when instead it was an easy transition. Every other experience I've had at Tansky has been great, but working with Rebecca really stood out as an excellent experience. If you need to get a new car, I highly recommend working with Rebecca.

Awesome place awesome people.... i emailed on a car that was on the Internet and was suprised when i recieved a replay with In 10 mins. Considering it was 10pm on a Saturday. The best was the straight forward financing. No extra hidden add-ons (like the big monster mega dealer in columbus). In and out in about 2 hours. (Already knew what I wanted). Ervin was my salesman he was awesome... this was my 3rd toyota and I'll be back when it's time for my 4th. Thanks Tansky..

Came in with a catastrophic failure of my vehicle, bought a $10,000 vehicle the same day. Asked where I could leave my SUV and they told the tow truck driver anywhere in the service lot would be fine. After no notification they towed it away and it ultimately cost almost $600 to get it released. Tried calling a couple times to see about reimbursement to no return call. All this could've been resolved with simple communication. I will never recommend this place to anybody. Just left without my money or an apology. Was told that the service department doesn't communicate with sales, what a lie!!!!

Brought my Rav 4 to them to have the 15k miles Toyota care and I told them I noticed a problem with my paint. They looked at it and said that I sprayed something on it(I didn't ) and said they would not cover it. They did tell me I could get an estimate for repair though. I asked for the manager to call me later because I didn't want to talk to him while I was upset. Two days later and I am still waiting on a call...

Richard Norman was a pleasure to work with regarding the purchase of my new Prius IV. I had not planned on doing more than looking at the new Priuses as I live in NY State and was in Columbus for only a couple of days. Attempts to get a Prius with the options I wanted was not easy but Richard went above and beyond to make the purchase happen.

A couple of thumbs up to Steve King as well because of his having to deal with out of State issues, plate changes and extra effort he made to clinch the deal. More salespeople like Richard would do much to restore the too often bad reputation of car salesmen to that of an honorable profession which can make buying vehicles a positive experience for all parties. The 445 mile drive home was much improved over our 2011 Prius by the comfort of the seats, greater stability and the blind-spot technology that worked wonderfully.
My wife and I live in NY State and this is our 2nd Tansky Prius purchase. We are very satisfied repeat customers.

My second car buying experience was why I keep coming back to Tansky. Richard Norman was helpful, friendly, and respected that I was keyed into a specific color/model. After I had test driven a week before, he followed up to find out what I needed to make a decision. Even after the model I was interested in sold between my visits by the little but mighty Oliver, Richard hunted down the same model configuration out of state and brought it in to satisfy my request. Richard is engaging and positive, bringing his pleasant personality and anecdotes to keep me smiling. I always felt like every option or question was able to be discussed and his only pressure was improving a deal until it was hard to pass up. Tom Wiertel stopped by to ensure my experience was good and also added some positive deal incentive that was pulling me towards a deal in a good way. Finally Lisa closed out the deal with financing that was straight forward and open to any questions. I'll be back again for my next car, and next time the building will probably be even bigger... :)

I purchased my first Prius at Tansky Sawmill Toyota in 2005. I kept that car in great condition and it ran perfectly for nine years, that is, until it was recently hit by another vehicle in an intersection. It was totaled and I was devastated. But, in the back of my mind, I had been debating whether or not it might be time to get a new car anyway. The collision made that decision easy. My first experience with Tansky Sawmill Toyota in 2005 was such a good one that I didn t think twice about going back to start looking for a new car. Within moments of entering the showroom, I was welcomed by Richard Norman. I explained to Richard that I had absolutely no intention of buying a car that evening. I was only there to look. Richard respected that I was just beginning my car hunting process. He was patient and informative as I asked questions and described what I was looking for (in another Prius, of course). He set me up with a test drive in two vehicles: a 2014 Prius and a 2015 Prius. I immediately fell in love with the newer model. It had many of the features I had always wanted, but never had, in my old Prius. I knew, at that point, that the 2015 was the car for me, but I needed to make sure that I got a good deal. I got on my iphone and started researching a few reliable sites online to determine what the 2015 Prius should cost in my area. Richard gave me my space and after I had done quite a bit of research, Richard asked me to have a seat and asked what price I had come up with. I told him. After excusing himself and briefly stepping away from the desk, Richard returned with a piece of paper showing a price well below what I shown him. Even so, I wanted to make absolutely certain that I was getting a great deal, so I started asking if he could throw in a series of add-ons. After I had nearly exhausted my wish-list , Richard was still able to offer me a better price than I believed I could have found anywhere else in the area. I happily signed on the dotted line that night. I had just encountered a great car buying experience. I knew that I had gotten a good price on a great car and I had done so, without enduring pressure or manipulation. Richard Norman guided me through the entire car buying experience with enthusiasm, patience and integrity. I will gladly recommend Richard Norman and Tansky Sawmill Toyota to my friends and family in the future.

For the Service Dept: Dropped the car off at 8am a...

For the Service Dept: Dropped the car off at 8am and told them I would pick it up around 3. I was told it would be done by noon. Returned at 4 to be told they needed another 20 mins. Apparently 8 hours isn t enough time to install TPMS sensors that they neglected to put on the car before they sold it to me.

A previous day I had to wait an hour and 20 mins for them to realize they didn t have them on and that s what was causing the light to be on. This is the last time I ll be here.

quality like the rain comes from the top, I have a complaint so sent an email to the top management and they didn't reply or even get any feedback and the same time sent question to CS and also not replied like their boss so the conclusion of the story If the top management does not care about customer complaints, make sure that customer satisfaction will be a disaster even if by chance you found an excellent employee there would certainly be more unqualified!

Update :
I did not doubt that the quality is low and customer satisfaction is not important to them, very bad experience to me, after they asked for the data and the details of the complaint and did it, I received a response from someone from Tansky called Austin to wait for a response after passing what happened along to the service manager to make sure receive help and explanation about the complaint. and he promised to update or may receive a call from the SM within two days, and finally, nothing happened, although I sent them several emails no way!
My concern now that the system indicated that I didn't bring the car for maintenance although I did and they refused to do the regular maintenance or check my concerns!

I came in on Memorial Day Monday to talk about buying out my lease. At the time there was only one finance manager working and he was busy so I was told he would call to make an appointment. No one called, and so I called back on Tuesday and left a voicemail with no call back, Wednesday left a voicemail with no call back, and today when I called to ask the front desk employee if she could check to get someone physically on the phone she told me to hold and hung up on me. I am so disgusted at how I m being treated and I have no idea why. Possibly because I m not buying or leasing a new car so I m worth less money? UPDATE: I called back since they hung up on me today and I explained what happened and the male employee said to me Well what do you want me to do about it? ...WOW.

Yeah I m gonna tell everyone how terrible my experience with this dealership is in person and online and make sure all my friends do too.

3 for the car company, 5 for the best body shop around! I've brought my issues to the body shop for decades. Never disappointed. I've become more of a Honda guy in the last 3 years because Toyota is still short sighted enough to not embrace Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, along with a string of quality problems.

I have only used this location for service for my 2015 Corolla. The customer service has been excellent. Friendly environment, happy employees and reliable communication. I recently just needed new windshield wipers and they quickly replaced them for a good price. Something so simple, but making it a quick, easy process is very appreciated! Always feel like a valued customer. :)

After update from Toyota I will give them benefit of doubt and hoping it will not be repeated again with any of the customers. I will be visiting them again just to give them another chance.

I purchased Prius persona recently and this was my first time at Tansky Sawmill Toyota dealership for oil change - First of all agent tried to convince me for unnecessary engine coolant and hybrid coolant flush (Toyota recommendation is after 100k miles but I have only 40k on my Prius). He was charging me $400 but I declined it. He said I can wait in waiting area and will come and get you once car is ready, I waited for 2.5 hrs just for oil change. I became impatient and went to check what s going on and found out that car was ready in less than 60 mins but agent ignored it and wasted my time as I declined to pay for unnecessary maintenance. At the end I was very disappointed by the way they treat there customers. May be I will never visit them again and might not purchase Toyota.

Payed 8k for a used ford escape 2011 70k miles, got completely scammed. 3 months into driving I had to spend over 3k in repairs, everything from the AC compressor to the entire electrical motherboard circuitry, to struts, and more. Front axels, and I've still got some issues. Did not get my monies worth that's for sure. Can't trust them.

I asked for someone to come out and help me with some of the new technology. They came immediately and answered all my questions. Quick and efficient is how I would describe my experience. We recently moved to the area and had just purchased a new Camry. I went there for its First Oil Change!
I made the appointment, arrived early and they immediately took the car in. I went to their waiting area, enjoyed a cup of hot chocolate and then fell asleep! They had to awaken me....................Service does not get any better than that, they were 20 minutes earlier than I had expected.
I will certainly be returning, good customer service is not found every day!

I scheduled an appointment to purchase and program a spare remote key for our 2015 RAV4. The service required a relatively lengthy call so the parts rep could provide an accurate estimate for the service and ensure the proper key was available (roughly $400 out the door). This is an expensive proposition so I wanted an accurate appraisal. Upon arrival the service team wrote up a bill that was $150 more than the estimate with no explanation or alternative offered for the discrepancy. A follow up call to the service manager was not returned, despite assurances by the service team. I recognize that dealerships gouge, but at least give me decent customer service for my effort. We currently own four Toyota's, none will be serviced at Tansky. The appropriate key was subsequently sourced and programed elsewhere without hassle at significant cost saving. Thanks for nothing.

We bought two cars from the dealership for the last two years. In both cases it was the best price in Columbus and close to the price calculated in Consumer Report.

In both cases we have got all discounts from Toyota and from the dealership immediately, without long, boring discussion. All the Staff, from managers to dealers, very polite and ready to help.

I would recommend Tansky Sawmill Toyota dealership and service to friends.

He knows his stuff and if he's not already the sales manager he deserves to be! I will recommend everyone I know to check him out when they are in the market for a car. Also Stephen King helped make the process smooth as well. I appreciate them both tremendously! The easiest car buying experience ever!!

Do yourself a favor: keep driving and go to Toyota Direct near Easton. A night and day difference with customer service. After two AAA calls in 10 days to deal with a battery issue we were told the battery was leaking, defective, and needed to be replaced. It was a Toyota battery, still under warranty. AAA cleaned up the battery (again), gave us a jump and the diagnostic report, and told us to go straight to the dealer to get it replaced. We were near Tansky so that s where we went. They said their diagnostic showed the battery to be working therefore we needed to wait for the car to die again and have it towed to them so they could see for themselves the battery was not working (even though we gave them AAA s report)! They were made aware that the car belongs to our seventeen year-old daughter and yet this was their solution...to wait until she is stranded and have it towed to them, rather than honoring the warranty on a Toyota product. We took it to Toyota Direct the next morning and they replaced it in an hour, no questions asked. Wow! We actually purchased this car from Tansky new in 2007 and they lost all future business over a battery warranty! Needless to say we won t be back and I suggest others do the same.

Sales Person: Richard Norman 5/5 stars. If you hate buying cars because of how pushy they can be, see Richard.

Rest of the people I had dealt with: 0/5 stars. If i wasn't so deep into the deal, getting what I wanted, and liked the car I would of walked away from the deal. Completing the deal was spread over 3 days and should of been done at most in 1 or 2. I was told the lease special I was after wasn't one they offered, even when it was on their website and cars. Financing and negotiations over a trade were awful.

Overall it was a frustrating experience and none of it was Richard's doing. He was just as frustrated as I was during the process.

I have been very pleased until management changed in the service department. I was told to come in yesterday at noon for a 4.5 hour job. At 3pm I was informed that the tech assigned to my vehicle had been pulled for another vehicle. I was given the option to have the vehicle put back together in 15 minutes and that it could be completed the following day by 9am. The time didnt add up to 4.5 hours if it takes 15 minutes to put back together and could be completed in 2 hours the next day. I feel like i was getting ripped off.

If you want an honest car deal steer clear of this discusting business. Even more sickening is they force their employees to go along with the whole lie and scam. If they choose to respond be assured there will be another dozen lies or so.

Got a new battery for my 10 year old Prius. Original battery so glad it lasted so long. Service Friday at Tansky is always polite and professional. They honor a competitor dealerships coupon for the service. They were very prompt and finished the work efficiently. They even ran the car through their car wash and cleaned the road grime off it. I will definitely use them for future service and recommend them to other toyota owners.

In fact, Susan reminded me that my Camary was due for some additional maintenance at 3 years. I used this place to service my prius v from 2013 to 2017. Always very friendly, and great to schedule appointments with.

Over that time I had several "emergencies" I needed fixed, and they always did a fantastic job. The rep who always helped me out took time to explain whatever I managed to do, and how they were fixing it. I never felt like I was taken for a ride when it came to pricing or being sold services I didn't need.

The only reason I do not go here anymore is moved out of the state, but to be frank I struggled to find a dealer as great as Tansky. A couple months after I left Ohio, a new dealer tried to convince me my brakes were dangerously worn. I had my paperwork from Tansky and had discussed the good shape of my brakes with the Tansky rep several times. Took it to mechanic and he said I was right, the brakes were fine. So thanks Tansky, for saving me money even after I could no longer service my car here.

I live on the other side of town and took my truck to Tansky due to a friend's recommendation. My first visit went well and the staff was was very friendly. I was told that some parts had to be ordered and I would be called when they arrived at the dealer. I have been waiting for over six weeks for a call to have my truck frame treated. It appears that I am going to have to call and get the problem resolved since I received this review for work that has not even been completed yet.

Absolutely horrible place. Treat employees and customers with no respect. As a former employee who was let go "under the at will policy" due to a already messed up system in play, I can honestly say that going there as a customer would not be in anyone's best interest. Was told while I worked there that "we can charge customers whatever we want" and that we were to "make sure we sell stuff even if it's not needed". These statements not only came from service advisors but management also. Constantly misplacing keys, paperwork, vehicles, never knowing what is going on. In my position I was set up for failure due to the fact they wanted a "business management individual" in the position. So any and all resources I asked for were never given. Resources that would insure that the people in the back could do the job properly and would be beneficial for the customer as well. You will get attitude from some of the advisors. If you don't want more than what you came in for, you as the customer are frowned upon. I don't recommend going here ever

Richard and Amel helped me a lot. Special thanks to Richard, who helped me get in the right price I was looking for. Richard, not only sold this car to me, but given me tips on various options really appreciate.

I am very happy I got my car from tansky on sawmill road. the stuff are very welcoming and friendly. right when I came in Warren offered his help and he was such a nice gentleman. answered all my questions and was so patience. hooked me with the car that I wanted and I was driving my car with in 2 hours!!
