My husband and I have been a customer of Tansky Toyota for many many years. We have bought most of our cars over the past 25 years. When my husband and I go for service, the first question we are asked is "Have you ever been here before". How insulting. Then, when our cars are serviced, my husband gets texts and emails for the service for my car and vice versa, not matter how many times we try to change the contact information so we are contacted properly. Recently, I was sitting in the waiting area for my car to be serviced, and my husband calls me to let me know my car is ready, because he has been notified, and I am sitting right there?!? The service is good, expensive, but good, however, the human customer service is really lacking. And then they ask to be graded high when we are surveyed. If you do a good job and are attentive, then you will get a good rating, if you have to ask for a good rating, you are losing. And on my most recent visit, I did not even get my candy bar. I miss Rodney Barrett, he was the consummate professional.

The customer service was great. But I thought they would of wash my truck. They used a quimical to spray under my truck and the quimical is all over my bumper. I had to wash that myself. They can improve on this.

Thanks to Richard Norman for making my first car buying
experience at a dealership an enjoyable one. The car I
was interested in was out front waiting for me to take
a test drive upon my arrival. He answered all my questions
and provided info to questions I didn't even think of. He encouraged
me to take it out again for a second drive as I wasn't
100% sure if it was the car for me. In the end, I received
great service and an excellent deal that I am very satisfied
with. I definitely recommend Richard and Tansky Toyota.

Richard Norman was the consume professional from start to finish.

He was very proactive in presenting the type of vehicle he thought best met my needs. He presented options for purchasing and/or leasing, and made them understandable.

He went the extra mile because I had another appointment that I couldn't miss. He bent over backwards to get the deal done and done right.

A great salesman with a great personality....and, skills to match!

I highly recommend that you stop in to see him.

I leased a car here and have nothing but good things to say about the staff and service. I recently went back to have car serviced and had even better service. I wasn t sure where to drop car off or pick up and multiple employees pointed me to the right direction. I was even asked if I would like some chocolate upon checkout. It s nice to actually see a place strive for customer service and excellence especially with the world in its current situation.

My car buying experience for a new Prius was one of the easiest new car deals I've ever completed. The negotiation, trade in, financing only took about 90 minutes. My wife and I were very pleased to get the deal done so quickly and on favorable terms. Richard Norman even stepped in for a busy sales person to get us into the test drive vehicles and work out a deal. Thanks for the quick response and courteous treatment.

We went in yesterday to start checking out our options with no thoughts that we'd be leaving with a new vehicle. Richard assisted us in looking at vehicles that would accommodate our growing family. He suggested checking out the Rav4 and was very helpful in showing us all of the features of the vehicle. We test drove the Rav4 and fell in love. It is exactly what we need for our family. Richard got us a great deal and was very straight forward with us the entire time which I appreciate greatly. He accommodated all of our requests with the car. He even offered us to go grab a bite to eat while waiting for financing to complete their part. Richie in finance was also great to work with. He did not hassle us and was very pleasant. He even went a step further and worked today to get us an even better rate than before! My husband and I both agreed that we would suggest Tansky to anyone we know that is looking for a new vehicle. We could not be happier with our new vehicle or the experience we had purchasing it. Thank you Richard & Richie and thank you TANSKY Toyota!

I have been a Toyota customer since the late 80's. This is due in part (obviously) because of the high quality and re-sale value of the Toyota line of automobiles, but mostly because I have had the pleasure of working with some HONEST, KNOWLEDGEABLE salespeople and service technicians over the years...whatever your training program is at this location, keep it up! I just purchased a beautiful Rav 4 XLE and I got everything I wanted...and was not persuaded to purchase anything I didn't need. My salesperson was Richard Norman and I would recommend this man to anyone that wants to purchase a vehicle from a professional, HONEST and caring representative of Toyota. He is now my salesperson for life and I am so glad I got to work with him. I was NOT asked to write this review, but after a wonderful follow-up call today to see how I liked my new vehicle and if I had any questions/concerns, I felt compelled to give credit where credit is due. I've owned more models of Toyota's than I can count; this is my second Rav 4...I'm sure it won't be my last!

I was in the market for a new Camry and they didn't have exactly what I wanted on their lot. They worked with me to find the perfect Camry with the options that I wanted. It took a couple of weeks and they never gave up. It was finally delivered and it is indeed perfect. Great people to deal with.

Just bought my new Toyota Highlander from Tansky. Ryan Spence was fantastic to work with and made the process not only easy but enjoyable. There was absolutely no pressure after the test drive and he spent quite a bit of time trying to track down just the vehicle we wanted. He was able to get us a great deal even though these are popular right now. He even picked us up at CarMax the day we sold our old car and drove us back to the dealership. Finance folks were also great, no hard sell on the extended warranties or protection packages. Ryan even spent plenty of time setting up the bluetooth, touchscreen menus and everything else to get us on our way. Awesome experience.

They have me as a loyal customer. So many times my experiences with car dealers have left me feeling disappointed or even very upset. The whole customer experience with Tony Lafond and the entire Tansky family made me feel as though I was part of their family. The process wasn t that I was buying a car, but that of becoming part of something much more. Tony s knowledge, dedication to my needs and superior communication, sets the bar very high when looking to purchase a vehicle. Bob Weber was also very professional, knowledgeable and respected my situation of already having the finane in place but made very good sense as to possible better terms. After allowing him to proceed, he was absolutely dead on. His focus on signing the paperwork in a timely manner also impressed me. I wasn t at the dealership for hours. Even though they both had multiple clients that day, I felt as though I was the only client present.

I take my car exclusively to Tansky for all my service and detailing needs. The staff is friendly, professional, efficient, and honest. They have assisted me with tire recommendations, informed me when repairs were not immediately necessary, and even transported my vehicle from service to the body shop and back again when I had an urgent trip coming up and was pinched for time. Their quality work and this above and beyond customer care is why I will only trust my car to Tansky.

I had a gracious experience buying my new RAV4 yesterday. Richard Norman was knowledgeable about both the vehicle and the various financial aspects of the deal. He was patient and straightforward, which I appreciated not having even driven a "new" car for 10 years. There have been a few changes, I discovered! When it was all said and done I believe he got me the best possible deal. I will recommend Richard and Tansky's to anyone looking for a Toyota.

Horrible Experience, I bought Toyota Camry SE 2018...

Horrible Experience, I bought Toyota Camry SE 2018 from there. As I was a graduate student Toyota provides $750 rebate. They run my, as well as my co-signer credit. After sometimes the Finance manager comes and told me that your credit has been approved but to get $750 discount I need a offer letter from a company indicating the joining date with in 120 days time frame, and hold my car for that day. Next day I went again with offer letter indicating the joining date to the company. And they said now everything is ok, and let me took the car. And then, after a week they called me and told that you cannot get the $750 rebate because the offer letter doesn t state any income that I will be making on the company and asked me to return the car. Me and my co-signer went there with a car. We thought we might pay $750 to them and take a car back but when we reach there, the finance manager doesn t say nothing and asked the car keys. I speak nothing and gave him car key and came back.
So, here is the question, how such a reputed company like toyota hire such people we don t know simple things like that?? Why didn t they told me before that I need a proof of income to get $750 rebate?? Why I got approved for the car still I fill the form saying I make $0 per month? And Why they need my proof of income as I already mentioned that I am unemployed? Its not about $750 that I cannot pay, I can pay $750 and have that car but Is that the way to treat the costumer??

I m a regulars customer at Tansky Toyota. Today March 7th morning I went there for an oil change at 6.50am. They opened the gate at 7am and I went inside to meet the service manager and I told him that I m a returning customer only for the oil change today. He immediately told me that he can t service my car with out appointment. I begged him that I drove these many miles this morning to just get the oil change which takes only 10 minutes. Also I told it s new very mentioned in their website that appointment are required for oil change. He never listened to me and I had drive back home.
Very bad experience for a regular customer and guys please think twice before you drive there. I am going to explore the near by Toyota s for my next service

I went to Tansky Sawmill Toyota wanting to buy a vehicle and apparently something seems very odd about this dealership - the sales personnels do not seem to care one bit, not even wanting to know why you are buying a car, how you are buying it (maybe can offer something along your price/financing). Something that was very disrespectful was that the TV was on and they seem not to pay attention. I suppose every dealer has its good/bad sales person, but my experience was certainly a negative one and will not go there again, let alone recommend anyone. Best of luck.

I walked in with cash, ready to purchase a vehicle...

I walked in with cash, ready to purchase a vehicle. The person I had "been working with" was not there that day, so another salesperson checked inventory for me.

This salesperson was obviously distracted by the fact that "I had been working with" another salesman. When the vehicle I wanted showed up as having been sold, he offered no alternatives. So, since I was ready to buy, I asked about similar vehicles.

He came back with a completely different type of car, apparently oblivious to what the word "similar" means. Then he asked if I would consider a lease. He was pretty dismissive, and I felt like he was trying to push me away so he could go claim a fresh client of his own.

I don't know what the situation is when one "works with" a particular salesperson. But even the original guy seemed concerned because my name was in the system with someone else (a solicitation call had been made to me, 2 years prior!).

If they are sharing commissions, and that is why they behave this way, I can understand it from the salesman's perspective... but management needs to figure out a way around this. Because when I show up somewhere with $15K to put down on a car, I don't think it should matter who I took a test drive with 2 weeks before, or who called me 2 years prior!

I walked across the street to Germain and bought a $23K new car. Way to lose a sale and potential customer.

Richard Norman salvage a deal for Toyota. I was about to decide to buy a Honda Civic except he helps steered me back to Toyota Corolla with the kind of attitude that he cares very much about my business. During my long wait for the finance department to process my application, he came over to me a few times to kept me informed about the progress and expected wait time. My family now owns a total of 4 Toyota cars. Richard Norman has sure made me a total loyalist to Toyota brand.

Very disappointed for this place. The customer sercive is horrible . I have scheduled an appointment at last Saturday to check with my gas tank overflow issues. When i arrived to Toyota Tanksy, I told them my tank was overflow when i filling gas at different nozzles, but the guy told me it is the gas pump issues and they cant do anything. He don t even let someone check my car first before he told me that. He told me he is going to call someone on Monday and give me a call after that, but i think he lied. Don't come to this place , because they dont care about thier customer.

I went to Toyota West after this. They told me it could be the pressure issue in the tank and they scheduled an appointment for me immediately.

I've taken my car to Tansky a couple of times now ...

I've taken my car to Tansky a couple of times now (for routine maintenance - oil change) and each time I leave my car there, I get a phone call from them that is always to the effect of "You need to do _____ on your car and it'll cost $500+". They never fail to make it sound urgent, but this time was particularly disgusting for their scare tactics. They recommended services that weren't even due on the vehicle until 100k miles and 150k miles saying that I missed them at my 60k mile service. I didn't even own the car when it had 60k miles on it, so how could I have "missed" anything at a service that I didn't even own the car during? Let alone missed a 100k mile recommended service at 60k miles???
Besides, a couple of fluid changes shouldn't be quoted at just under $700. I brought the quote to a mechanic friend and even he said that was outrageous and he works for a car dealership!

My wife and I went to Tansky this past Saturday so she could test drive some cars. We have never leased a car before and weren't very sure of the process. Amel was extremely helpful in assisting us in finding the car my wife wants, and helping us through the leasing paperwork and process. Richard was also helpful in giving us a great deal. We were both very pleased. I highly recommend going to Tansky when you're thinking about getting your next vehicle.

I would like to give zero stars but that was not a...

I would like to give zero stars but that was not an option. Our saga started on the Saturday of Labor Day weekend. My Husband and Son were dealing on a 2019 Tacoma pickup on the phone. We live in PA and they were driving 3 hours to pick it up. They agreed on a price and were part way there when they were told that the truck they were dealing on and agreed to a price on was sold but they had the same truck in a different color, not the color he wanted but they were already headed there. They arrive at the dealership and are met by Mr. Barrett. Mr. Barrett tells him that there will be no problem registering the title in PA. We have purchased in Ohio before and knew the dealership could title the vehicle in PA. On the way home the center hub falls off of the wheel. Mr. Barrett assures my husband an new one will be mailed out the next day. No wheel hub and we wait and wait for the title so we can register and get plates for the vehicle nothing. Texts to the salesman go unanswered. I finally get ahold of a Mr. Perry the used car sales manager and explain that our temporary tags were expiring and we hadn't received our title. I ask for a new temporary tag until we get this straightened out as their title person was not in that day. Was assured one would be mailed out that day. He gets back to me on Monday and tells me that the salesman had transposed some numbers on a different line and they hadn't sent the title because it looked like we still owed money. Now most reasonable people would assume that if they are holding title waiting for money they would call and say hey your title is here if you want to stop down and pay the balance and we could have straightened it out then. They assure me the title will be mailed out the first of the week along with the wheel hub we were never sent. We received the title, not a PA title as we were expecting, but an Ohio title. Not worth fighting over, just have it changed to PA even though it was going to be a fee. Took off work to get it changed and register it and it has the wrong address. Told by the registration place I have to have the dealership change it. Called the dealership and was told PA could change it. Called Harrisburg and they said because that address does not exist it had to be changed in Ohio first, meanwhile I now have a 2019 Tacoma lawn ornament as the tags are now expired. After some back and forth and several calls to Ohio BMV I was told I would have to send them the old title and have a corrected one issued. At this point I was pretty hot and was able to find the General Managers email address. After emailing with her she assured me that someone would be getting back to me that day with a solution but they couldn't send me new temporary tags as they were not allowed even though I had been told a almost a week before they were sending them. There title person gets back to me later in the day and states that they got a corrected title and had sent it next day mail and we would have it the following day. When we opened the mail it was not a corrected title but a duplicate, same wrong address. Still a lawn ornament.... Contacted them again and was told that it was an issue with the title office that they just hadn't looked at all the paperwork (the first issue was theirs with a transposed zip code number). You would have thought before mailing it they would have checked. Finally two days later received the right (sort of was supposed to be PA) title and were able to register it in PA but not until after having to pay to have the title transferred to PA which they told us to send them a copy of the receipt and they would pay for and you guessed it..... have not seen that money. Did finally receive the center hub a day after the correct title, two months after promised. Finally able to drive our lawn ornament only cost several early days leaving work, borrowing a vehicle from family, title fee and a lot of aggravation. Waited a while to write this, if they had sent me the check for the title fee I probably wouldn't have written.

Two air filters were installed without our permission, and during the recall check on sliding doors the glove compartment was pulled out of its carriage and now it seems broken. Also one of the snaps for the plastic interior of the sliding door was lying on the floor and makes us wonder if the plastic interior of the door is now going to become loose. Very sloppy work!

I scheduled an appointment to get my oil changed. When I brought the vehicle into the service center, I had 3 or 4 technicians ask me what I was bringing the vehicle in for and if I was 'Toyota Care'. I replied with the same response to each of them - I scheduled an appointment for an oil change and no, I'm not part of Toyota Care. All of this should have been understood just by looking at the appointment I scheduled, but it seemed like they didn't want to use that information. Anyway, I brought the vehicle home and noticed oil on the garage floor about a week later. I checked the drain bolt, and I could loosen it with my hand! If I'm going to pay a premium to have the oil changed at the dealer, I expect them to tighten the bolt. I've never had an issue at any other Toyota location - I won't be going back to this one for service

Today I had a fabulous experience working with Richard Norman. Richard contacted me after I inquired about a Toyota Corolla. Too slow service -- I arrived at Tansky Sawmill Toyota at about the appointed time on Nov 18, 2014; the job was simple: i.e., to install a new tire (they had already gotten in my specially ordered tire). It took them 1 hour and 45 minutes to complete the job. While I was sitting in the waiting room, I saw many customers who came in after me, and their jobs were completed long before mine.
Disgustingly unfriendly attitude -- There was no courtesy on the part of the man who dealt with me there. HIs expression was grim, his tone of speaking was edgy. After the whole thing was over, he told me I could leave with my car, but the car was stuck among other cars so I could not move, and finally I asked another person to let me go, and she did. All throughout the scene, he was listening and offering no help.

I want to share my extreme disappointment with this dealership. I brought my van here because I had trouble with the ignition. I was told after a battery of tests it was the alternator that needed replaced (a little skeptical on a van less than five years old under 70,000 miles, but willing to believe them). I ask them multiple times if they are certain this is the issue. They assure me again. I ask will they be putting a new alternator a refurbished one. They tell me a completely new one. I ask multiple times if it will be new, which again I was assured yes. When I went to pay my 1,000 dollars for my new alternator, the receipt read "manufacturer refurbished." That was very infuriating to which they did nothing but apologize, but said at least the problem is fixed. That very day the problem happened again. I took the van back to the dealership. They kept the van two days and were able to duplicate the problem, but couldn't find a solution. So after hours of transportation to and from the dealership and 1,000 dollars for a refurbished part that was promised to be new, my van is still the same. The dealership did nothing to rectify the situation. I will not be bringing business back here, and I advise everyone else to find elsewhere to service your car or van.

Great service! I had a wonderful car shopping experience with Richard Norman. His professionalism, courtesy, and most importantly his honesty made shopping with him a pleasure. I've been a customer there for a long time. But, I don't know that I will continue to go there. The service department is poorly run. I've scheduled service appointments and shown up only to find they don't have me scheduled. For a while the service department would just do basic service, but not recommend other preventative services. That only leads to really high service bills at some point. The service department is very frustrating to me. I've been under impressed for a long time.

In December my wife and I searched widely for a new or recent-year Prius. We visited several dealerships, including Tansky Toyota where we had purchased our 15 year old Camry. We initially were looking at the Prius V, but after discussing the pros and cons with Tansky salesman, Pat Perry, we became interested in the "standard" Prius. He showed us 2013 and 2014 model year vehicles, and offered a 2013 at a fair price. We test-drove the car, completed negotations and completed the paperwork in just two visits. We were very satisfied with our dealings with Pat and with Tansky Toyota.

The new-car salesmen seemed nice. I'm sure that's what most of these 4 and 5-star ratings are for. Unfortunately, however, our experience with one of the used-car salesmen was not. There were 2 used-car salesmen named Steve, one of whom ended up getting the sale -- and he was OK; seemed honest and straightforward. The other Steve, however--who only helped us when we asked for it--was vague and dishonest when we were asking about the cars, pushy and dishonest during the sale, and unhelpful and dishonest after the sale.

A specific example: when asked if they could fix a dent in the car, he replied with "Well, when we're not making any money from a car sale, there's nothing we can do." Don't give me that. Salesmen always make money--that's their job. Don't lie to me, just give me a yes or no. Be honest. And as soon as the company got its money, he was straight up rude and just walked away from me.

I sincerely regret buying a car from a company who would employ such a man. I'm just glad he wasn't the one who ended up with the sale. And the only reason I gave them 2 stars instead of 1 is that the other salesmen there seemed like decent people.

terrible. Such a poor experience I traded my Toyota in for a Nissan and will never have another Toyota not because of the brand but because of the BS runaround I got from this exact place.
Bottom line: refused to cover a warranty repair despite the fact that I purchased the FACTORY extended warranty when I purchased the vehicle and the issue was for sure a warranty situation.

I ve used your shop a number of times but this time I changed to a different body shop that could get me in with no wait. With Tansky I had to wait a week. I had a work trip looming so I was under a time crunch waiting a week was not an option.

Went in looking for a used Prius. I told her I was wanting under 100k miles, under 10k out the door. She closed her browser and said I'd never find that, chuckling and saying good luck.

She literally turned away from us.

Notably, at Toyota dealers within 25 miles, there are 11 listed that meet the criteria.

Nothing exceptional but wasn t expecting that. I was told my car would be ready in 1.5 hours. It took 2 hours to simply rotate my tires and do routine transmission service. They knew when I arrived that I needed it in the 1.5 hours. Still didn t make it. Other than that, all good

Pat Perry was an excellent person to do business with and we felt like we got exactly what we wanted for the right price. We did not find the Highlander that we wanted on the Tansky lot, but they took down our preferences, searched their Ohio Inventory, and had the one we wanted on their lot within 5 days (which was very convenient as we turned in our leased VW that week as well). Thanks Pat for the great service and quick turn-around and we will certainly be back in the future.

We worked with Amel Mustafa and Richard Norman when we stopped in to find a suitable work car. They both did a wonderful job making sure we got everything we needed in a car---also a couple bags of chips since it was around lunch time and we were starving. Went above and beyond to make sure we were taken care of! I would recommend working with either of them if you looking for a new Toyota!

We live on the out skirts of Cincinnati, OH. We had been looking for a particular vehicle, a Toyota Highlander Hybrid and Tansky Toyota had one on their lot that we were interested in, which is approximately a 2 1/2 hour drive away for us. I had on a whim, printed out the information for this particular car, and it had the dealership info on it. While we were test driving a Toyota Highlander Hybrid and making our way back to purchase the car we were test driving from a local dealer, I phoned Tansky Toyota, spoke to John Williams, asked questions specifically about the car they had and I was interested in. John came across as very sincere and helpful. He went out to the car multiple times to verify information he was giving me about the vehicle (which I GREATLY appreciated!) - we had already been to 2 dealerships that had incorrect information listed about their vehicles, but we didn't find out about the misinformation until we were at the dealerships. John said if we decided to come look at the car, he would let his supervisor know we were coming, so that when we got there to look at the car it wouldn't be gone or sold, after we would have drove more than 2 hours to get there. I asked John his own personal opinion of the car and when he told me what he thought and believed, I felt he was very upfront and honest, I think it's just part of his personality, not in a used car salesman kind of leading you to believe what he wants you to believe kind of a way. When we arrived, the car was pulled out front, ready and waiting for us to test drive it, with John out there with it waiting (I need to add it was about 32 degrees or so). He greeted us and we were happy campers. Everything was just as John had described over the phone to us. It didn't take very long for us to test drive the car, and make a solid decision. We bought the car, John had all the ducks in a row and ready to go. I asked if we could negotiate the price and he was more than happy to work with us. We could not have been any happier, after having dealt with 5 other dealerships to find the car we wanted and to be told many different things to try to make a sale, then we met John who was very upfront and honest and we couldn't have been more pleased, after driving the distance, we were counting on John's honesty and character; he showed us how strong those traits are, in him. And to top it all off, he has a wonderful & fun personality! He's very easy going and straightforward and not at all pushy or trying "too hard" or just trying to make a sale. We absolutely LOVE our new (used) car and have John Williams to Thank for that, as well as Tansky Toyota! Thank you for helping us find our dream car John!

Bought several cars from them and only place have ever taken them to for their regular maintenance. They are very good about setting up appointments and trying to keep on schedule. They have a nice waiting area and offer shuttle service if you have to leave your car. They are great at explaining what is needed and the cost before any major is done.

Got one of their certified used Toyota corolla's. I love this car. The salesman, even though he was a fng, worked with us and got us a great deal on a super clean 6 speed manual Corolla. I have a feeling I will be a repeat customer in the future. Much better experience than the dealer I was previously loyal to.

Just got my new 4Runner today, and it is great! Worked with Steven K, he did a great job locating just what I wanted and he worked hard to get me a great price. I had a great buying experience from Steven and Tansky, no pressure, answered all my varied questions. Thanks!

Had a scheduled oil change at 12:40 pm. It took almost 2 hours to do a simple oil change that was scheduled. A gentleman from Tansky came up to us in the showroom and asked if he could do anything for us and we told him about our long wait. He went to the service department and came.back to tell us the car would be ready shortly. I thanked the person for checking on the oil change. If it wasn't for this person we would probably have waited longer. The service department apologized but the wait was a wait. The last oil change took about an hour and 1/2. I will think hard about taking our car to Tansky again.
