Do yourself a favor: keep driving and go to Toyota Direct near Easton. A night and day difference with customer service. After two AAA calls in 10 days to deal with a battery issue we were told the battery was leaking, defective, and needed to be replaced. It was a Toyota battery, still under warranty. AAA cleaned up the battery (again), gave us a jump and the diagnostic report, and told us to go straight to the dealer to get it replaced. We were near Tansky so that s where we went. They said their diagnostic showed the battery to be working therefore we needed to wait for the car to die again and have it towed to them so they could see for themselves the battery was not working (even though we gave them AAA s report)! They were made aware that the car belongs to our seventeen year-old daughter and yet this was their solution...to wait until she is stranded and have it towed to them, rather than honoring the warranty on a Toyota product. We took it to Toyota Direct the next morning and they replaced it in an hour, no questions asked. Wow! We actually purchased this car from Tansky new in 2007 and they lost all future business over a battery warranty! Needless to say we won t be back and I suggest others do the same.
