It is also a traditional hotel of Devi Sukarno. In Japan, I said it was a luxury inn. With breakfast, you can eat a menu for women from the beachside to steak from the morning (^ ^)

I love this place and cant speak highly enough of the Tandjung Sari. Staff are first class, accommodation is of an extremely high standard and the food is fantastic with direct access to the beach

The site that is deep from the main street of Sanur is a Balinese style with lots of moss and a tradition.
Several bungalows are dotted in the garden.
It was impressive when I checked in at the open style reception and was guided to my own bungalow.

As you pass by the reception and head to the beach, the restaurant, bar and library surround the pool, and on the other side of the beach there is a large cushioned seat for you to relax.

The staff also serve you in a proper manner without breaking the atmosphere, and the flow of time is pleasant.

This is a hotel I want to stay by all means when I went to Bali.

A classic hotel even though it's been a long time to stand, it's cool and quiet

Great place for relaxation and nature lover. Each room is located separately so you can enjoy some privacy. The foods are great and many selection with many choice of Indonesian authentic food. Located just by the beach so you can watch sunrise from the beach. You can also the Mount Agung from the beach.

Very traditional bungalows, typically exacting service. Moving to Ubud on Wednesday will be a wrench!

Lovely old hotel and beautiful beach with really good foods

Loved this traditional Balinese hotel in a great position on the beach in Sanur. The owners have for one kept the maintenance up and created new buildings such as a gym & yoga space. Very unusual in the older hotels ( just look at the run down Besakih Resort next door). The food was great too very inventive.

A hotel with classic buildings but very comfortable to live with family, it is perfect for vacationing in the atmosphere of the beach. A charming view that offers Bali's uniqueness with the friendliness of staff in all divisions.

I had lots of memories in this hotel. My grandmother and my grandfather used to work here, my aunt has been a dance instructor for local kids dance foundation under this hotel roof as their CSR program. My aunt always took me there at every rehearsal especially everytime the antique Pelegongan gamelan practising. I've been performing there since I was only 8 years old right until now I help teaching too, every Sunday, regular rehearsal. I first met my husband at this hotel when he went to research about classical gamelan art forms, that was 14 years ago. Now we have our own gamelan and dance conservatory and centre in Denpasar to preserve the old gamelan and dance art forms, but our heart is still here at this hotel. Although I never stay in one of the hotel, but I always get the chance to visit every room as we have quite a lots of friends staying there everytime they visit Bali and they love it. The hotel itself is a very unique and romantic place. The rooms and their furniture are elegant. My husband and I sometime go and spend an evening before sunset at their restaurant bar on the beach to nostalgic and to enjoy their nice desserts. My favorite is their coconut creme brulee...hmmm so yummie! Kids dance practise is very fun to watch, it's normally every Friday and Sunday at 3pm. Kids dance performance every 2nd and 4th Saturday, so twice a month, but I suggested to ask the staff.

This lovely hotel is a wonderful place for complete relaxation. The gardens and architecture are beautiful and ornamented with traditional statues, ponds, fountains, handcrafted features and a lovely pool.
The staff are kind and attentive and the chefs are excellent! The menu is well priced so that the premises are nearly impossible to leave.
Highly recommended.

A beautiful hotel within a not very similar Sanur (many souvenir shops, taxi drivers looking for customers and worse hotels with reggaeton music at night that can be heard from the hotel).
Spectacular treatment and perfect bungalow rooms.
Maintains a very classic charming style.
Direct access to the beach where you can also dine, have a drink or simply relax with its sun loungers, tables and chairs just for clients.

Incredible place! Stayed for a week in September 2019. Location is stunning, staff were all amazing and the place is just out of this world. When we look for places to stay on our hols we are always a bit weary about pictures online and websites with how they dress them up to look good. I have to say in this instance, the pictures, reviews and Tandjung Sari's website do not do this place justice. It is out of this world. Right on a private part of the beach, plenty of sunbeds, but not too many, incredible views and lovely well kept grounds. From the minute we arrived we felt part of a family. Every member of staff knew our names without being too over the top and couldn't be more helpful. Cant wait to return!!

Beautiful resort and absolutely fantastic location. We went for dinner and cocktails on the beach. Service was slow, food was mediocre and cocktails were terrible. Horrendously expensive for what we got.

This place is the real paradise in Bali! The rooms are big and clean, the pool is private with a view of the beach, you can sunbath at the beach, food is super delicious (loved the smoked salmon and avocado toast for breakfast) and the staffs are super nice and helpful!!!!!

This is a really beautiful hotel in Sanur with a wonderful bar/pool area perfect for watching the crowds as they pass on the beach walk, having a predinner drink and then enjoying a great meal. We really loved just sitting out there watching the world go by with the sound of the fountain in the background. Definitely worth the stay if you're in Sanur.

Classic & elegant with traditional heritage concept

Old-fashioned Bali, as we dream. Everything is beautiful in this old hotel, it's class without being ostentatious, an exquisite taste!

We were not in the hotel, but on the beach. Have been there several times already. For 2 days garbage is washed up and on the water surface floats brownish foam. Since you can not go into the water ..... who knows what toxins are introduced into the water there. If you want to go to the beach and into the water, you have to drive to Nusa Dua beach. We are already 14 days in Sanur. The place is dirty and everywhere you stumble on garbage. Bali generally has a garbage problem, which they are no longer solved alone. Actually, we as tourists should not get carried away, because we also contribute to this problem. Too bad that it is like this. In the distance, we are fooled by a paradise, the truth looks very different on the ground ...

Like a fantasy coming true,and lovely jazzy music,sometimes live and never to loud.
The food is not cheap but very tasty.
Wonderfull staff working there.

Cool ambiance, awsome beach, great cocktails, let's go

It is unfortunately a bit overpriced, since no private pool is available. On the beach are always cook too few shade places available. The complex itself is very nice and well maintained. The atmosphere in the evening top. Our breakfast was excellent.

This is the most gorgeous place you could wish to stay. Traditional Balinese in design but lacks nothing that you could wish for. The thatched bungalows are spacious and beautifully decorated with colourful antique tiles. Our village bungalow had an outdoor shower, a huge bath and 2 daybeds under a canopy in the garden. We looked around the more expensive bungalows during our stay and actually preferred ours as it seemed more spacious and on one level. The staff are amazing and so helpful, ably led by the manager Avi who takes a personal interest in all his guests. Nothing is too much trouble. The food is excellent and good value. We can t wait to come back!

Beautiful gardens and villas with stunning vistas and private beach. Best part is the staff - friendly and always helpful and attentive, you won t find more genuine Balinese hospitality. This is truly paradise. A must visit.

We ate hear twice while staying in the area for a month. Its by far the best place on the front. I believe it is the oldest and original hotel. It exudes class, unlike some of the others. Also isn't any more expensive to eat than others close by. Gerat outdoor space to eat and cool, comfortable classic loungers on the beach with tables for pre eat drink. Highly recommended

One of my very favourite spots in Sanur. Just magical at night. Great food and wonderful service. Great for special occasions.
