Great beer selection. Brewed in house. Food selection and customer service has improved since new management.

Great food and service, somewhat pricey appetizers. The beers are also good with a wide selection! Stephen, our waiter, did a great job explaining everything and suggesting items since I was new to the spot.

I love eating at this place when I'm in town. Good food, good service, great beer. I recommend their stout and the Tallgrass burger (house burger). I recommend the rooftop too, but unfortunately that section is closed in the winter.

Brook was our server and was excellent at her job. Food was delicious, so was the beer!

In town for a few days. I had a plan for restaurants to visit. My wife calls it OCD, I look at it as being prepared. I came here Monday and changed my plans. I'm back again on Wednesday. The beer is awesome and the Cuban sandwich is as good as any I have had. Both nights I had great service. Friendly and quick servers. They were quick to offer suggestions of beers to try and let me sample them first. A most definite return!!! Don't pass this one by!!

Delicious food, great atmosphere and the Buffalo Sweat is one of my favorite beers.

Such an awesome place. We get our growler filled here and they will help you with your selection. My husband and I tried so many of their beers before we decided. They also have some really awesome food and it is just a cool place to see.

Prices have continued to increase while the food has gotten slightly worse under the new(ish) chef. Service and beer are consistently good.

The food selection is limited but the beer selection is better. A little pricey though.

Great atmosphere and tasty locally brewed beer. Highly recommended the pork lettuce wraps and the sweet potato fries as a side. On Sunday they have happy hour all day which means in-house beers are $3! Our server, RaeAnn, was very friendly

Good. We're Colorado craft beer fans so I have to admit my expectations were low, especially after reading some of the reviews, but Everything was good. The beer was surprisingly good, the guest beers were good, the food was good, and our server was attentive. Burgers as good or better than any where else in Manhattan. Not too greasy. Only gripe is food prices are too high.

I came here to drink beer and the beers were good. Can't rate the food because I came to drink and not eat. Very nice and clean facility. Try a beer sampler it's worth it

When a large party is booking a full room for a private party you should dedicate a server and an assistant. Way too slow and the one person we had was flat out overwhelmed.

This was truly disappointing. The atmosphere was pleasant beyond that it was awful. Every item of food we got was gross. Just gross. Keeping an open mind after our odd and bitter tasting appetizer, we were yet again disappointed with our meals. If you enjoy greasy as Fk food that tastes funky and lazy wait staff have at it.

I really wish Tallgrass would do something about the (poor) quality of its food. The space is great, the beer is (mostly) good, and the rooftop is exceptional. But I've eaten almost all of the dishes, and they are sub-standard. The odd thing is that gastropub food is easy to do well; the restaurant really needs to ask people with good palates to taste and critique the food and to help them fix the menu.

The chicken wings are great--if you find yourself eating at Tallgrass, order them. The rest of the dishes are fair to terrible. Don't pay more than $10 for any dish; you'll regret it!

Tallgrass, I've talked with more than a dozen faculty members and grad students who would love to eat there more, but find the food unbearable. It's early in your career--a good time to self-evaluate with a critical eye.

We are regulars here and have loved this place from the beginning the resent menu change seems great just haven't had enough experience with it yet to give it a 5. I can say however that I had salmon before and after the new ownership and the seafood is definitely fresher tasting now than before and that makes my coastal heart happy.

My favorite place to eat in Manhattan. If you like trying different beers this is the place for you.

We had poutine, chorizo and crab dip and the soft pretzel. Crab dip and poutine were both excellent. Pretzel was pretty good but not hreaty.

Thanks for providing good beer to go. The growlers safely made it home to Minnesota where we're enjoying it in social isolation.

Apparently it was too much of an inconvience to go downstairs to make chocolate milk for a 3 year old. Waitress had a terrible attitude.

When I was sat at the restaraunt it took a little long to be greeted and order taken. With the new implementations and challenges Covid has caused i was patient but not happy. When my beer was delivered Is was personally delivered by the Manager and she comped it for my wait. Immediately my experience changed in the restaraunt. I did not say anything to provoke this, she saw a problem and provided true customer service and an experience I can enjoy instead of being clouded by a first impression. To add the environment is amazing, the beer and food is amazing, and I would not hesitate to come again!

Also on Yelp: I've been here 6 times so far, the beer is pretty good, food not so much. I've tried a lot of the dishes at this point (Poutine, Crab and Chorizo Dip, Spinach salad, Chicken in a Biscuit, Root Beer Braised Pork Belly, Bangers and Mash, Fish and Chips, Roasted Vegetable Quinoa, Tres Leches Cake, and NY style Cheesecake) and the only things worth ordering are the poutine (if the fries are hot), the Mash part of the bangers and mash, and the cheesecake. Particularly the bangers were burned on the outside and dry as cotton inside, the batter on the fish and chips was thick and soggy, the beer braised pork belly was too syrupy and lacked anything to cut through the sweet and fat of the dish, the roasted veggie quinoa tasted like nutty dirt, spinach salad was like something I could get from the salad bar at a supermarket. The fact that they had Boulevard's Saison-Brett on tap means that I will probably be back, but I really like to have good food when I drink. Hopefully they will bring in someone new to redo the whole menu and make it as good as their beer.

We stopped in on gameday for a few drinks. Beers were good. Fruity drinks were good. The staff was great to us, would probably swing by next time in town.

Nice looking bar, great beer, and good food, but needs a good manager to train employees and make sure they have what they need to do their job (i.e. shouldn't be out of beer flight sample glasses at 3 in the afternoon with only a few people in the bar).

My wife and I have been a couple times and overall good experiences so far. Lots of beers to choose from and food is good.

Beer was great. Food tasted good but different items had the same flavor. I think the chef uses the same sauce for different items.

Good food and service. Had the poutine (fries with gravy and cheese curds) and ordered an old fashioned. It was nice and strong. Overall I highly recommend giving this place a visit!!

Good food, good beer, good location, rooftop bar and dining area is nice. My server was less than attentive at first. When he realized he had forgotten me for a while, he brought me a free beer so all's good. Will definitely return when back in the area.

Beer choices are excellent even though I don't drink many IPA's. Food always seems to be a work in progress but definitely has much room to grow. Excellent staff and friendly service!

I imagine this place is hoping in the evening, but I would like to take a moment to encourage your thinking outside the box and to go in the afternoon. There were not so many people there when we arrived. We did not need a reservation, even thought we were a party of 7. The atmosphere was delightful, we could hear each other talk and were not hurried out even long after the plates were cleared and the glasses were drained. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Everything was clean and best of all we really enjoyed our food (and beer) and the company we kept.

Literally the WORST service we have ever received tonight from the brunette hostess with glasses. I've never been spoken to in such a rude manner or dismissed like this IN MY LIFE. We love this place and their food but will not be returning until they retrain their staff. I understand hiring mostly college students, but I have never had someone roll their eyes at me or make such blatantly rude comments OUTLOUD to me. Placing a call to the manager because I truly hope this was a random occurrence and not a new standard for Tallgrass.

Pink give beer a yes as well as the meatloaf. Stay away from the mudslinger stout unless you can handle caffeine late at night. Getting old is not as fun as you would think.

They offer fine dining while still having the bar aspect. You can get a great dish while sitting down with a drink. With respectable tableside service, you're able to get your food at a decent pace. Great eat for the city of Manhattan.

This place is a great addition to the Manhattan community! Yay for eating and shopping local! They ve got a great selection of food and beverages. Good pricing and a fun atmosphere. You can t go wrong with this place especially if you have a larger group.
