Sonny's BBQ Review

I love the Sunny's environment. Though I miss the mascot, I love it all the same. It brings back memories with my great grandfather and I.

If you like a bunch of fat with their brisket I would say go to Sonny's but if you don't you end up paying a lot of money for fat

So good! We got the family feast and it did not disappoint. It was more than enough food for our family of 6. Was extremely impressed with how modern this sonnys was! The resturant was clean and our waitress was efficient and friendly!

This is the usually chain BQ place. The food is fair. The service is good. The price is reasonable.

Food was great, service exemplary fast but no beer but Bud light.

Food came to the table quik, I was in and out in 45 minutes. Service was adequate, food tasted good.

Long wait to be seated,the seating lady shows no expressions and moves very slow.Time to get food quite slow as well.Stopped going there for lunch,end up going over my lunch hour before I can get back to work.

Fast service, good food. Ribs were lacking meat but most times I'm satisfied.

Had to tell them we haven't been waited on poor service good food

Sunnys is the best! Get all you can eat pork. They will bring you out both sliced and pulled if you ask.

Amazing food at incredibly good prices!! I recommend the pulled pork sandwich!

It was awful. Way too overpriced for the amount you get. Meat was very fatty and not very good. We left very unsatisfied and hungry.

BBQ AT ITS FINEST... QUALITY at its finest good place to eat

The updated building looks amazing compared to the ones I grew up coming to. It has a modern feel with many other down home touches, it was also incredibly clean as well. They are incredibly quick with getting out your orders and the food came out warm. The only issue that we encountered was that our waitress while incredibly nice she was not very attentive and we had to wait 15 minutes just for her to pick up my card to pay.

Always enjoy Sonny's and there wonderful bbq what ever I have.
I tried the ribs and wings and was not disappoint. My daughter got the sampler and raved about it. We both had food to go.
Keeping things clean and complying with CDC rules. Always good to see when coming to Florida from Michigan.

Always good. This time I had the salad bar. Everything was very fresh and tasty. I will be back again.

My cousin and I frequently break our hot work day up by stopping in for "The Big Deal", good 'ole southern style sweet tea, corn nuggets, big smiles, and cold AC.

I love this place! The sauces are delicious. The brisket and pulled pork melts in your mouth

Great food and excellent service! Ms. Ann the server is top notch. Gainesville Sonny's is/has always been a good place to eat.

Big sis and I needed lunch, something a bit different, so I picked up a couple of BBQ brisket sandwiches at the local Sonny s drive through, each with coleslaw and a gigantic drink. Extra sauce packets were served in the well packed to-go bag, as well as extra napkins and the plastic ware packets. The sandwiches arrived still hot after a 10 minute drive home, the coleslaw remained cold and crisp, the drinks icy. The drive through service was timely; I went through shortly after opening on a weekday morning and waited at the window about 5 minutes, which I was ok with. If you want to change your fast food burger meal, give this a try. For just under $20 for two full meals, we were both quite happy with the choice.

I'm not sure how this is supposed to be consumed, but I'm not sure why everyone in Florida recommends sonny's. Absolutely awesome service, it was the food that was a huge turn off.

We are at this location EVERY Sunday & have NEVER gotten a bad meal. We're such regular's that your AWESOME staff knows exactly what we want to drink , before we sit down.

Salad bar had a great smoked chicken salad and seafood salad. Coleslaw was good.

A church member had the family feast delivered to our house because I am on bed rest and it was delicious. Even the corn on the Cobb and the cornbread was amazing. Thank you so much!

I went in took a minute to be recognized. It's just me by myself. I had to ask the waitress to clean the table that was sad at he told me it was the chemicals but I'm telling her that it's sticky like soda and not like chemicals and she brought me a rag and I wiped it myself. Once I ordered the food came and was plentiful so much so that I had to take a box home. It was also very good. I got a big deal and a side salad which was h.uge.
I would go again hopefully I would have a different waitress. but other than that it was a nice experience.
