Quiet customer friendly ambience with top class hospitality

I worked here for 6 months as an intern and it is a very good hotel and people are very nice

I went to have Continental food and it was not great at all. I had pizza and it was very very dry and the chicken was also not Fresh!! The staff was also not attentive to us especially Leonardo. So overall experience was not so appealing!!

There's nothing about this place which is not to be loved.

Excellent Taj Hotel. The food in Sonargaon is outstanding. The Chambers and The Lounge are also very good.

The best hotel in Eastern India. Restaurants are excellent. Junction bar makes the best LIIT. Must try!

Had a very good business stay at the hotel. Its a traditional hotel with a class of its own and charming welcoming lobby. The room has a class of a decor not that huge but a good size. Welcoming staff and very courteous. Stayed here for two days the breakfast spread was one among the best. Clean rooms and very good staff.
Business centre was well managed and the gym is also very well equipped.
I strongly recommend the well spreaded restaurent that they have.
Over all a class apart, good staff and very good room service ideal for business or leisure staying

This was a corporate event. We went to the Continental buffet. The buffet was average with nothing new to offer. As expected the food quality is very healthy. But, not enticing

Excellent hospitality. I wanted an avocado salad in the evening, which apparently wasn't on the menu, but the chef had no problem in preparing one on my request. It was of decent quality. The room while not as spacious as some of the hotels in the same price range, but nevertheless, was decently adequate and most importantly the hotel is centrally located.

Don't go for a buffet if you are a vegetarian not worth it...

Probably the most stately of our 5 stars in Kolkata where even multiple events don't make it seem crowded. Sonargaon and La Patisserie are our favourite. Attended the Farmers' market here

Taj Bengal is the ultimate destination if you want the best service in Calcutta! Right from the entrance to the part you leave the place - it's the best luxurious service you can get! Although the food isn't what an average Indian prefers - spicy! The drinks and the dessert are the best thing about the food!

High class Taj property good for family and business meeting

What will i say It will be said as low as possible. O of non-SM-fold

Stayed here for 2 days. You can feel the aura the moment you entire with a warm namaste from security followed by very friendly receptionists.

You will feel like Taj wherever you go. My favourite section was "The Humb", God I'll miss the food. If in Kolkata would love to visit Humb in any given time.

Big thanks to Reservation Desk, Duty Manager for arranging a Spa room during the visit, as I stepped in early and I had interviews scheduled on the same day.

It possibly has the best Chinese Restaurant in Kolkata. Needless to say the staff are very courteous and service is impeccable.

An unparalleled star hotel of Kolkata with all updated features and facilities. Staffs are humble and courteous. Restaurants are also very good and charming. Ambiance of the hotel as well as the restaurants are really nice.

Old grand hotel with fantastic common area interior designing, but rooms quite aged and needs updating. Centrally located. Very warm and accommodating staff!
