Great service and excellent rooms. All-in-all a very nice stay for two weeks and also quite close to Park Street! Enjoyed the pool and the very friendly personnel. Although it is quite a distance to the airport.
Well.. that's what u call a 5 star service. Hospitality at it's best while making u feel at home. TBH... where's the 6 stars man...m still searching for it. Kudos to the entire team and management
Attending a wedding reception at Terrace garden, in Taj Bengal. The atmosphere was so regal yet comfortable. Staff etiquette was extraordinary and warm. I never felt out of place. An experience to nurture and treasure.
Currently I train English to the GTPs (Gtaduate Training Programme) who r pursuing Hotel Management in Taj Bengal. The L&D Manager Ms. Sowmya Sengupta is an awesome person whom I can rely on along with the students. Cordial Relationship & the Feel-Good Factor is definitely 1 of the factors I would miss if I ever quit Taj.
Wonderful place to stay in kolkata.. great ambience , well behaved & friendly employees all ways thr to help you.... Had a wonderful experience in Taj bengal.
5 star deserves a 5 star. The reason behind that is the staff service and the hospitality they provide. I have visited twice and every time i have enjoyed my visit.
We went there for dinner (Cal 27) around a month back. It wasn't that great. The spread was less with very little choices. The items and the taste was okayish. Expected more compared to the price. A better service was expected as well. The place and ambience was nice.
Taj is of course one of the best, but the management needs to take a reality check. Went as part of a host team to celebrate 25th anniversary of our school, which happened at the crystal ball room. Everything else was good, but the food was kind of disappointing. It was a buffet and the arrangement of food was confusing. The soup was beside the dessert counter and the main course plates on the other side, far from the salad counter. The soup and the desserts was good, so was the fish amritsari and the murg lababdar. But the other items were not up to the mark, like the daal, aloo gravy, paneer. The roti stand had no butter bowl, I had to take butter from the soup counter which was on another side. The salad was not that great either. Also, there were less servers in the dining area at times and our guests (some of them foreigners) were made to wait for tea and coffee. One French lady had to wait for 10 minutes because she wanted tea and the waiter brought out an electric kettle and boiled the water there. Couldn't it be done inside, in the kitchen area? It was really unprofessional and embarrassing for us. Also, there's this broom cupboard or something in the crystal room and the doors were not locked, so guests kept opening it mistaking it for the exit door (they were adjacent) and that was not cool either. For a hotel of this stature, these things were not expected. The decor, ambience and looks matter, but the small things are which makes the stay memorable, and clearly the food could have been way better, I mean at least make a decent daal! Dear managers, please look into this.
A 5* property with the unmistakable touch of Tata hospitality. Situated plumb opposite another Kolkata landmark, the Alipur Zoo and the road forking off with the National Library at the juncture. Great view of the race course too. Single approach road though, you have to come around a long way once, somehow, you miss the entrance by car.
