Tallievent may not be among the avant-garde of today s culinary scene, but, if what you re seeking is classic and sophisticated French cuisine, this restaurant will not disappoint.

All dishes on the menu were perfectly executed, providing a creative, but tame, gastronomic experience. Our favorite of the night was the smoked egg and truffle starter that we substituted off the ala carte menu for our tasting.

The staff was wonderful and accommodating.

Easily one of the best meals I ve ever had.

The lady in the cloak room was very nice.

The lady in the cloak room was very nice.
We had the lunch menu at 88 euros except one friend whom had some wine. The food was good but just good, no surprise. In fact, I found my pigeon main dish a bit too oily for me.
The service was good. The room was a bit noisy when it is full.

Fantastic experience (not just a meal) and phenomenal building. Service is perfectly orchestrated. However with all this elegance comes a steep cost so reserve this for a special occasion only.

I'm a fan. I am one of those people who prefers to save a little bit to be able to go to a real restaurant and have an evening to please my taste buds! The place is very pretty, very sober. The food is very good, although the quantity is sometimes just right for big eaters.

My wife and I enjoyed one of our best dinners ever, anywhere in the world. We both ordered the pre fixe menu of nine courses and each dish was supreme. Wine list was also incredible. The staff was the most attentive of any restaurant we More

Le Taillevent knows how to receive.

Le Taillevent knows how to receive.
The traditional charm of large houses is there, we take care of you, your well-being.
While sitting on the sofas, you can attack the dinner.
It's good, tasty, original, in short the top.
My only reservation concerns the desserts, it's a little disappointing.
Thank you for this wonderful evening.

I had lunch.
I think it is excellent in CP.
However, if you eat here first in Paris, it may be easier for other restaurants.
I would love to visit again someday. (^_^)

The spiced duckling: the essential choice not to be "banned" . to savor imperially, to taste majestically, to discover for novices.

The threshold passed, with soft steps, solemnly and with joy, we find the room and its wooded atmosphere, so soft, so pleasant, its warm welcome thanks to the boundless kindness of Mr Jean-Marie ANCHER. A gentle hubbub echoes in our ears: the cutlery dance, swirl, twirl above the plates from which a few smells escape in fumaroles which, surreptitiously, gently tickle our senses and whet our appetite. Subtle menu where a cascade of poetic combinations of dishes flows, from the tastiest to the most refined. Menu with pastoral flavors (the whole vegetable garden in turmoil deliciously accompanies fish, roasts or divine poultry). Mr Alain SOLIVERES is certainly a Grand, Grand Chef. He undoubtedly excels in his manner of leading and without deviation, his young brigades. Pampered and pampered dishes with balance, by an ecumenical menu of voluptuous grape varieties. A simple but respectful note for everyone: THANK YOU
In this restaurant with a crystalline soul, a pleasant and highly successful evening.

Quality service everything is perfect it would be a lie to say the opposite. Obviously all this at a price but which is worth it. Red mullet, carbonara potato. Lobster. Words fail to describe the perfection of execution! The classic suzette pancakes from the house still as impressive.

My husband and I went to Taillevent recently because my sister, her husband and her son have been raving about the restaurant and its director, Jean-Marie Ancher, for over 20 years. Their enthusiasm is merited. The food was delicious and Mr. Ancher and the staff treated us like royalty.

It had been a few years but it was perfect! high class traditional cuisine has decent prices and a magnificent wine list.
A plus for those who do not know how to choose wines, the glass of wine option according to the dish chosen by the sommelier.
I absolutely recommend!

Exceptional cuisine and flavors. A service of great quality and great professionalism. Our son is food allergic, the waiters and the chef reassured us throughout the meal and special dishes, until miniardises were specially prepared for him !! Bravo and thank you

Overrated. Mediocre food and pretentious service. Very uncomfortable to dine because the ambience and waiters were too solemn. There are better Michelin 2 stars restaurants with friendly service and more delicious dishes. Very disappointed.

Incredible experience in one of the temples of French gastronomy. The decor is very classic to see a little loaded with wood on the whole of the back room but the lighting puts it well. The service is impeccable with a brigade set like musical paper. The Quintessence menu is simply majestic with mixtures of flavors, textures and temperatures that go perfectly together. The sommelier brings an additional dimension to the meal with fresh advice, which comes from the heart and which adapt perfectly to your desires. Each plate is a work of art and Chef Bizet and his team do a remarkable job. The cheese platter (additional charge) is refined with talent. The mimolette is above all those you can eat in your life. The pear dessert seems very generous at first and yet it is a cloud while freshness that like a Norman hole allows you to move on. A meal at Taillevent is unforgettable ...

I don t ever submit online reviews, but I thought I should share what a wonderful time we had in a private room for lunch. Our crazy American family (with children) was treated just as nicely as they would treat the most VIP of guests. Food and wine delicious, and the whole experience was really superb. Expensive but a real value considering what we received.

So far, I have been to 17 Michelin-starred restaurants in Paris, but I think that this is the highest rank for both food and service.
I don't understand why it stays at 2 stars.
I think the wine pairing service for lunch is very reasonable at 104 euro including carbonated water and coffee.
The dress code is strict and a jacket is required, but it was lent to me without a jacket.

For once, it's really high-end. It is not a restaurant where you go every day, unless you can afford it! But the dishes are refined, the flavors delicately mixed ... The wine cellar is of high quality. In short, real French gastronomy!

After eating here I now know that it is only the reputation (hyprocrite) that gets this restaurant highly praised. Indeed, the setting is beautiful, the staff is friendly .. Nevertheless the DISHES are INFECTED, in addition to the prices just incredible, unthinkable.
If you want to eat something edible, do not go there (too salty which would make you think of frozen food, too sweet ect ... we might think that it is an industrial product but this is not possible since the restaurant has a reputation that is too hypocritical).
To sum up: to be avoided for the price and the terrible dishes.

The restaurant indicates a high gastronomy and with all the photos of the place of the dishes and at times the staff, only the price of the cards and menus show the standing. The menus and cards are made for gourmets, who have a culinary culture and a enlightened and informed amateurs.

This was one of our most expensive meals. The atmosphere is Fine Dining to the max. The atmosphere is VERY stuffy and very quiet. I felt awkward at times because everything was so rehearsed with a specific manner of what should be done and how.

You definitely want to take your time eating and enjoying your meal. If you rush, you will get looked at as if you didn't enjoy the time and the food was not experienced.

I definitely would consider going here. I did enjoy sitting next to my husband vs across the table from each other. We were able to see the 'performance' of each employee's position and what they were to do and when.

The food is exquisite and delicious. It is a few short blocks from the Arc de Triomphe.

Jackets are required and ladies should wear a dress, skirt or dress pants and blouse.

Do NOT play with your cell phone while dining. It is improper and you will feel out of place. Unless you were like me taking pictures of the food - take the pic and put the phone down.
