As long as you're computer literate, their services can can be an effective defensive. One must manually disable a lot of default services, however. I'm pleased with them. There corporate offices are down the street from Nasa Ames in gorgeous Mountain View.

I was a participant in the women's leadership Symposium that was held at the Symantec campus. It was an event I will never forget. I learned from successful executives, women in positions of power. Their main point was to keep pushing forward and never give up on oneself. The Symantec campus is beautiful. If you're looking for a job, submit your application to Symantec!

This company has absolutely terrible customer service and the digital id I purchased was non functional/ unusable. They don't care about customers or providing any customer satisfaction. I purchased a Digital ID online. It did not work. I did not use it. Within 1 hour of my purchase, I requested a refund via Symantec's website. I waited 3 weeks for a reply. The response I received was an email from "Nephi" in the Symantec User Authentication Technical Support department. "Nephi" responded by stating that they were going through a 'transition' in the department and apologized for the delay in response. Then, "Nephi" wrote that they don't give refunds because they don't give refunds and closed the email with a "Cheers, Nephi". Obviously, they did not care that the product never worked and I never used it. I have never complained online about anything before, but this lack of service, caring, or even thought is indicative of a crummy company with crummy products and exceedingly crummy customer service (read that as non-existent customer service).

Useless VPN, doesn't work on Sony products, states that we've been compromised on our home internet (different network than my phone or work) . Also so called, compromised on the work system (protected by Symantec Antivirus supposedly on a Govt contract)

They over chrge you- the anti virus could not work could not back up. After 5 attempts online with support including 2 remote sessions WHICH THEY DISCONNECTED WHEN THEY FAILED I asked for a refund. I was told I would get it. I can prove the date. 10 days later no credit to my charge card and now they claim [ when I called again] that I had waited too long. No I asked for a full refund in 55 days wich is within their policy. THIEVES!!!

Their products are soo good.

Their products are soo good.
Since 2002 their firewalls have "intrusion detection" with IP tracing.
No need to say Russia did it, simply look at the logs and there the actual IP address from China.

Can I give no stars at all?!

Can I give no stars at all?!
Last year's product was not working correctly, and whenever someone attempted to fix it, it got worse. My renewal from 2 weeks ago has yet to work, in spite of at least 8 calls to Norton. I was told it was escalated to the next tech level, since then twice I was told to set an appointment for a call-back, but Norton did not call back...once it was even a "supervisor" promising a call back at a certain time.
The work and time it takes me to have them attempt to fix my programs is unacceptable.
I don't like to speak to people outside of the U.S. for customer service, but that is all you get from Norton.
At this point Norton should pay me for using their service.

System is good however they renewed my subscription and took the money out of my bank account without ever sending me an email notifying me that the subscription was coming due. Unless you like big financial surprises don't sign up for automatic renewal.

I've had Norton security services for years. The real problem can when I purchased a new laptop and called them to add coverage. First, I was ask to allow them remote access to download a package for installation. All along I thought my current subscription with Norton covered up to three computers. I was told no and that I needed to pay additional $99.95 to received the new coverage on my computer.
This infuriated me because the technician was really a salesperson working on commission who only wanted to upgrade my subscription. Norton needs to work on providing customer benefits and stop scamming the ones they have. Look at the Scareware lawsuit against them and you would agree that there service is geared to profits and not customers. I am looking elsewhere for coverage.

Bait and Switch - Bought Lifelock from Norton (A Symantec Company) I was not told of any add-ons. As soon as I bought it, they started to sell me add-ons. Tried to cancel from Norton. No response. Contacted Greg Clark of Symantec. Also no response. Tried to contact Tricia Sullivan at LifeLock - also no response. Not a lot of money, just think a scam is a scam and they shouldn't get away with it
