The swiss hotel is pritty swish on the 20th floor going down to level 8 for some fine dinning and a few jacks
Comfortable, clean room with all the amenities you would expect of a five star hotel. Friendly service. Breakfast options and standard amazing! Only let down was the spa - felt the changing rooms and floor could do with a deep clean! Lots of hairs on the floor. Jacuzzi colder than I expected. Would recommend this hotel but hope they focus a bit more on the cleanliness of the spa area.
The Spa & Sports was such a great experience, wonderful service
Modern hotel with professional and thoughtful staff Including rooms that is very neat and comfortable to stay, and a restaurant with a variety of food to offer.and is walking distance to stores and markets.
This hotel is easily one of the best placed in the city. Have stayed at a few others that are well placed but not quite this perfectly located in the middle of everything. 5 minute walk to most of the key buses and the trains (And soon the lightrail if Sydney gets its act together).
The rooms are marvelous (That is the cheapest room, I imagine they get better from there) with SUPER comfy beds and pretty fantastic bathrooms. Not much more you can ask for.
The service is great, despite a few issues with in-room dining, and the staff are all friendly and accomodating.
Overall I would certainly recommend this hotel as a fantastic and high value location to stay if travelling to or through Sydney.
DO NOT let the ground floor lobby set your first impression.
I booked and pre paid the room charge prior to the stay, but then you double charged from the guest credit card without telling the guest. The guest have presented the pay slip when she checked in to show that we have paid, plus we did email the pay slip twice to you before that either. Eventhough, you did not anything or even checked with the team about the payment but double charging the amount. Until now we checked out for 4 days and you void back to the guest card 3 days ago without informing us, plus the guest has to pay for the currency exchange difference due to you charged and void on different days. Its all about your terrible management. Until now we have emailed to your reservation team 3 times asking what you can do for your guest who had very bad or even worst management service from such a 5 star hotel like this, but there is no even a reply to apologize in such an embarrassing mistake at all, not even an email to say you received our emails and working on it!!!!!!.... The word of the worst service would not be enough to describe how you treat your guest. Its sych a horrible...!!!!
Fantastic spot for boxing day sales and for those who like walking around. Shower door doesn't seal properly so the bathroom floods everytime you shower. But they said they would check it out. Great staff.
High-quality hotel, perfectly located in the city centre (CBD). Large rooms, nicely decorated. Also great views from upper floors. Very friendly staff. Free Wi-Fi and rich breakfast included. Public transport nearby. Perfect for sight-seeing. Excellent service for money!
Lovely hotel, friendly staff. Great location, make sure you don t hire car if you stay there as the parking cost you a fortune. Restaurant need to have better vegetarian friendly options! If you have a vegetarian in your team when you stay there then you can not eat there!
Very enjoyable stay & all staff friendly & efficient. Special commendation for Ben at the concierge desk for his very patient & courteous management in the face of verbal abuse & appalling behaviour from a group of women awaiting their car from valet service at checkout 11.00 to 11.30 Sunday am 10 Sept. Despite calm explanations that this was a busy time & everything possible was being done to provide their car asap (I also was waiting for my car) they bullied & harangued him & threatened to complain to management. For the record there was no substance to any complaint they may make. Regards, Dr Stephanie Weinrauch.
Very nice lobby cafe, and hotel is right in the heart of the Sydney CBD, near Pitt St mall and Centrepoint Tower. Close to Hyde Park and Queen Victoria Building. Rooms are nice but typical as far as 5 star hotels in the area go.
We spent time at the day spa and it was perfect. The service was fantatic and facilities were amazing. Couldn't of been happier.
Attended a conference in the meeting rooms of the Swissotel Sydney. The environment was good for a conference, with plenty of seating, water, good food, and accessibility to toilets. The only negatives were the overly aggressive air conditioning (it was frigid in the meeting rooms) and that there needed to be more rubbish bins. As well, the availability of water was very good (tons of mini plastic bottles), but that alsoeant significant amounts of waste - a more thoughtful approach (either larger bottles, or refillable cups with jugs of water) might not be a bad idea.
All in all though, while I've talked of the negatives more, the Swissotel delivered a very good, professional experience.
Professional & helpful staff. High quality rooms & facilities. If you're looking for somewhere extra nice to stay, this is perfect.
Food was not terrible - average - but definitely not worth the price. Restaurant staff were not very experienced and got the order wrong and forgot to adjust the bill so we had to get a refund via bank transfer. They also take a credit card surcharge, which isn't the norm for large businesses.
Amazing hotel and great views of the city Central location for shopping and site seeing
Swissotel Sydney is a hotel with exceptional support. Location is prime when dining in the Sydney Tower. When I'd left my phone the warmest of welcomes from employees that is leading and very useful. Linen and the beds were of large quality as was the breakfast. I'll surely stay again here.
Went for high tea. Quite disappointed overall. Food selection for savoury was oddly mixed for high tea with curry flavoured party pies(why?), couple of sandwiches, and party sausage rolls, they also got the ingredients mixed up in the sandwhiches some how??.Desserts were ok but used cheap chocolate and not much variety. Service was poor, never offered tea/coffee. After chasing down waiter ordered earl grey tea, milk and cappuccino, got tea delivered 10min later no milk... asked waiter again got milk 10min later....asked waiter again got coffee 10min later. Average food, poor service and view of other buildings windows not worth the money.
Good hotel / condo that's right across Queen Victoria building shopping mall and 2 minutes to Pitt Street mall
Rooms are modern and bathroom is really nice separate shower and bath.
Venue was very clean and the food was delicious. Staff were very helpful.
Public toilets could be cleaner but the ambience and feel was great
Great location right next to town hall station and Westfield. Fantastic service from staff, who were super friendly and helpful on our stay. Would definitely return!
Recently had a conference here aircon too cold but 5 star otherwise. Great staff. Nice venue and conference food.
Excellent location 2 mins to Town Hall Rail Station and another 15 mins to airport. Photo shows view from L8
Executive lounge food and staff make this hotel a top choice
Just about to check out of this lovely hotel!! Spent 3 days here. Unfortunately weather has been unpredicable - cloudy, showers but loved this hotel!! Special mention to Sally who checked me in!! She says hello to me whenever she sees me, asks me how my day was, what I did and remembers my name as well! Room nice size, clean - has small fridge you can put your water, yogurt in. Has kettle to boil water for coffee, tea as well. BAthroom clean, separate tub and shower area. Room does have adaptor as well if you need to charge items and you forgot to bring one,. Lots of outlets to use. There is also USB port in light fixture beside bed. I had the breakfast deal and I was happy with the buffet. Scrambled eggs or you can request your type of egg, different breads, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms, hashbrowns, various fruits, pastries etc, I was there first thing so food was hot/fresh.
Good location, especially for State theater and shops.
So comfortable and so close to everything I wanted fabulous decor and lovely bathroom! Thanks Swissotel Sydney!
Spa treatment was incredible. The staff were extremely nice and informative. Facilities were clean.
Agree with other review a real pain to go up two lifts to get room. Also when we arrived in the evening there was no porter service we had to struggle with own luggage up to room. Breakfast/room service terribly poor. Gluten free bread is horrendous and they must source gluten free bread from a quality Baker not from the supermarket. Coffee also very poor and use terrible almond breeze almond milk.
Love this place, service great, rooms spot on and it's right in the middle of what's going on. I always try to stay here while in Sydney.
A very comfortable hotel at the most convenient location.
Room was big, but Gym was quite small. It was annoying that we have to catch two lifts to go up and down.
Other than that, happy with my stay and hotel was clean.
Very nice hotel, centrally located with easy access walking to the harbor and landing areas where there are many restaurants. Rooms are very nice and the restaurant at the hotel is also very good.
Nice clean and comfortable hotel. Bathroom had a separate bath and shower. Customer service was good. Breakfast had a good variety, All in a central location
The outside appearance as well as the hallways makes it look like a 1 star. But their rooms seems more as a four-star.
Excellent location in the heart of the city. Very spacious, well fit out rooms.
Recommended.
Had high tea on the Saturday of the Mardi Gras so I assume that s why so many staff called in sick. So it was difficult getting service but they were all kind and helpful, it is the fault of management to not have ensured enough staff to fill in.
Food was good, coffee great, and I love the circular seating and ornaments. I had a lovely time, well done to the hard work of the staff who did turn up to work.
amazing service friendliest helpful staff wouldnt stay elsewhere
Good service and food, definitely an experience to try at least once
Was good unfortunately i booked place to use spa and spa out of order. Considering it has a spa treatment facility they should make it public knowledge spa is out of order.
Was given a free room upgrade on arrival, our car tyre popped when we were on our way there and one of the staff (ceejay? Idk a Fijian bloke) changed it for us when we left, the breakfast buffet was amazing. Overall, a good time
Well presented, comfortable hotel. Staff were responsive and happy to help.
I dined in with workmates for a high tea. It was a fab experience. Not so grand but food was good and customer service was excellent especially the Filipino staff.
Stayed a few nights here for our wedding anniversary. Loved the friendly hotel staff, they were always happy to help and made our experience at the Swissotel a pleasant one. Our room had a view of the Centrepoint tower, it was clean and spacious. Will definitely stay here again.
We had some drinks at the bar and received professional and exceptional service.
We booked a room for our 32nd wedding anniversary night. To our surprise, there was a greeting card and chilled champagne waiting for us in the room. Thank you! The hotel is in an ideal location, clean and comfortable. Great breakfast, too. Check-in and check-out were a breeze and with the friendly staff, nothing more can we ask for.
Great location, very nice staff. Rooms are VERY small.
Visited the spa with decent results. Smaller then expected but satisfied with the service.
Breastscreen NSW Conference in the facilities 2 years in a row. Comfortable seats, excellent lighting and sound. Food was OK. Toilets clean and tidy. Very friendly happy staff always helpful with a genuine smile.
Well appointed find and excellent service from the staff.
Conveniently located in the heart of the city, about 15 minutes walk to Chinatown and about 20 minutes walk to the Sydney Opera House. 2 minutes walk to the pedestrian shopping street.
Brilliant, great location, outstanding service in the Executive Lounge. Rooms are spacious
Great service and staff, excellent location for shopping and sightseeing, well worth the money. And for those who are wondering, the hotel is directly above the Meyer building, but can't be directly accessed through the hotel.
Decent hotel. My room had a separate shower which is always a plus. Need was very comfortable. Gym is very small with only a couple of cardio and limited weights options.
