Swissotel Sydney Review

My experience with the hotel is exceptional. The room was very chic and up to standard for a 5 stars hote (maybe a 4.7 stars). The bed was comfortable, furnitures and surfaces are clean, minimal and snacks are stocked and additional of useful items such as a safe, robes, flippers, ironing board and iron, and an umbrella are a treat. The staffs are very respectful and friendly with top notch customer service. Would recommend for any travellers and with Westfield and the whole CBD at the doorstep, life doesn't get easier.

There are some odd places around the room that I did found dust, but it is expected for a room that hasn't been live in for a while, given the pandemic. Also, it is unfortunate that at the time the bar and dine in area is closed.

Love the rooms and the food is very good so is the staff

Highish-end hotel chain, located right in the middle of Sydney CBD. Continental breakfast/ brunch ok.

Had a wonderful time at the buffet high tea. The cocktail was amazing and the food delicious and generous.

We always enjoy our stay here. Nice, clean and good views. The bed is very comfortable, like a bed of clouds.
We always order room service for dinner which never disappoints. The breakfast buffet is amazing with a variety of goodies.

Very nice spa! My wife and I spent few hours enjoying the faciliaties and had a great massage. The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would definitely go there again.

There are small issues like dirty swimming pool during a peak period, ordinary toiletries compared to Westin, Sofitel and Hilton

I love the Swissotel! The staff is great, checking was a breeze, and the room was gorgeous! Its in the middle of the city, so its very close to all the shops. If you use the hop on hop off bus (which i highly recommend you do) there's a stop close to the Swissotel. I also loved how techy it was. You put your key in a slot next to the door to power the lights and if you want you room cleaned or to not be disturbed you push a button and a light out side your door changes color! I love it :D

We went for a high tea. Nice food well at least the deserts were, the service was ok, just a bit pricey for a buffet style service.

Dinner at JPB restaurant was good. Service by Andrea was excellent.

Standard hotel pricing and moderate to slow bar service. A surcharge for all credit cards? your kidding yourselves. Won't be back based on that alone.

Beautiful rooms and very friendly staff and the balcony view is amazing at night

Comfortable layout and professional staff makes any event pleasurable.

The doormen were absolutely wonderful. And it was nice and clean in the hotel my one complaint is the mirrors in the elevator. We went to the tea service and they we're absolutely lovely.

Experinced the Hightea buffet here- good selection of sandwiches and and the cocktail on arrival was a very nice drop.

Rooms are very very clean.staff friendly. Location central.

Celebrated 2 big milestone birthdays at JPB in Swissotel. The food and service was amazing.

A pleasant enjoyable stay with professional staff and top notch service from all around. Room was quite and beds were comfortable which gave me a very nice feeling when retiring to bed after a long day of walking. Receptionist are quick and checkin and checkout is a easy streamline process. This is my 2nd stay and both times, it was very comfortable.

Impressive decor and newly refurbished. Service is great. Inroom dining is also great. Very clean and comfortable. Bathroom is big and new. Happy to see slippers and robe available in the room.

I recently attended a 3 day conference at the Swissotel. The facilities and food were excellent. The only negative I note was that on one of the days there was another conference in the room next door that was so loud that it made it difficult to hear our conference.

It is a quiet and comfortable hotel.
The staff is friendly and the hotel is clean.
My bed was so comfortable that I had a good night's sleep ..
It is in the city center and easy to walk.
However, there is a shortage of parking space, and there are some inconveniences for practical use.

The Hotel looks like a million dollars.
All the staff make u feel like a million dollars.
Buffet breakfeast is worth a million dollars.

Dont bother reading reviews just book it.

Everything with my stay was perfection wraped in perfection with a shiny bow of perfection.

9 girlfriends and I spent the day here on Sunday for my birthday. The staff were amazing, very attentive and really lovely! They even bought me a birthday cake. Highly recommend for a super relaxing day and the facial was really good!

Very nice refined hotel. Right in the heart of the city, right place to stay for tourists. I didn t eat at the hotel but the but the bar was very good.
Great pool if you need to cool off.

Great inner city hotel our go to place for a staycation. Awesome service by attentive staff. Smokers please note they have now declared their balconies smoke free as well.

Room is nice and bathroom is very spacious. Noise can be an issue as you can hear people in corridor from your room.
Breakfast is average.

Great massage, very relaxing with great facilities. Went here with a few girls. We had an awesome time. The views from the outdoor pool and jacuzzi are lovely.

The venue was fine but the cost of an ordinary conference dinner was pretty exorbitant.

Hired a room for a board meeting and didn't feel very well treated.

Stayed here for a week a few years back and the best they offer is its location. Right at the middle of the city where you can mix business with pleasure. I cannot complain on the facilities here. Do not get intimidated by the small entrance. Once you see the lobby, you will see that its really not that small.

Was here in July 2019 for 2 days on a business trip. Stay was as comfortable as it can be outside of your home. Couldn't ask for more !!

Check-in was a breeze. I was into executive king room on level 24. Wasn't a big room as you would expect for a executive suit but it wasn't cramped either.

The little things in the room made the stay memorable like
1. Complimentary mobile phone with free local/international calls
2. Umbrella -lucky to have it as i wasnt carrying one on this trip.
3. tooth brush kit -didnt need it, but good to see.
4. Two pairs of bathroom slippers
5. recliner seat to crash after a big day

The breakfast buffet has a huge selection. You can also get your breakfast cooked by chef on a live counter. The buffet is bit costly though, i guess it was $45 per person.

Great stay excellent location right in the heart of the city. Fantastic room as well!!!

Went to meet someone in the reception area however from the lobby all the way up to the reception area there is some not so pleasant smell. Smells like sewerage or something.

Room was clean and tidy as you would expect from an accor hotel. The common areas(waiting areas, hallways etc) were clean and presented to a very high standard. Great location and amazing staff from greating you at the door to check in. Had a great experience and will be back again!

Great service, nice clean rooms. Only issue was parking (if you have a car) which is not at the hotel, a 5-7 min walk.

Not your traditional high tea as it's a buffet style rather than a stand. Good value so if you want to go somewhere for a dessert buffet, this is the place to be

My friends and I were there for a few drinks after work. Service was good and the mojitos weren't bad as well. Overall, good quiet place for a few drinks.

Great function room catering to at least 200 people comfortably, guests are provided with Swissotel bottled water and notepad as well as morning and afternoon tea which consisted of lovely sweets and fresh fruit. Coffee and tea are available throughout the day as well as a Cappuccino machine. Makes what can be often a long day more pleasurable.

I love Swissotel! They really made us feel welcome and enjoyed our stay! They even give us a free bottle of wine because it was my husband's birthday! Thank you Swissotel! Excellent customer service! Please keep up the good work!

Highly recommend this hotel! Location was in the heart of the shopping precinct with everything literally on your doorstep. Hotel room was beautifully presented and inviting, and as we were there in the middle of winter it was wonderfully snug and cosy. Bed was amazingly soft and highly nappable. Soundproof rooms also made for a restful nights sleep. Lobby and Reception staff were very pleasant and polite.

Went to High tea. Love it!!! Extremely friendly and helpful staff!!! This is our 5th time and we will be back!!!

I enjoyed the Swiss, Sydney. Good recognition of repeat business. Breakfast was great too.

I was visiting Sydney for the first time from California and checked in on 5/8/18 for staying 2 nights. after 10 minutes I came downstairs to borrow an adaptor from the front desk, I told them That I just want to use the complimentary internet, which is free (because I have a carrier with unlimited internet use) no business one and asked them to make sure no charge for internet.
When I was checking out, I was standing for 20 m or more that front office staff (Mr. Assad) just take care of ONLY one customer before me. When It was my turn, he asked me to sign the paper that shows the internet charge for the second day. I told him that I asked his colleague on my arrival that I don't want internet. He said they just removed the first day but not the second day. He said it is late and I have to sign it. I said I don't agree with the charge, he said rudely, people waiting, sign it. I asked to see the manager, he said there is no one. This took only 2 minutes and he forced me to sign but the lady before me who he was take caring for more than 20 m, there was no rush. I look at behind me and I saw only one person is waiting. I signed the paper but I wrote on the paper, I don't agree with the charge. I am in process with my bank account to dispute the charge. I visited Sydney after 4 days but I went to other hotels, not Swissotel due to the staff issue (MR. Assad), although the room was clean and the location is great and close to attractions.

I arrived at the hotel and didn't really feel like I liked it. It seemed pricey and didn't offer much for the money. HOWEVER a kindly act and a cheerful greeting from a member of the housekeeping staff on my floor this morning changed my mind so it gets another star!! The rooms are a little too light to sleep once the sun comes up. My big grumble with accor hotels is they snatch back the reward points after a year if you don't use them. That puts me off the place a bit.

Loaction right in the city, perfect for shopping near Westfield. It was convenient and only 10min to darlong harbour and 5min to hyde park. The tooms were clean and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful.
