I called a little after 3pm on a Saturday and Vic answered the phone with such enthusiasm. He recommended the soil I would need for my flower bed and the price, and when I explained I lived almost an hour away and wouldn't be there until close to their closing time at 5, he said "Come on down!" I made the trip and when I met Vic, he asked if I was the lady that called. I shook his hand, and told him that he was truly awesome on the phone and his happy attitude is the reason I drove an hour to get my dirt. They made a customer for life. I will continue to drive there for all my yard projects in the future.

The staff here is very knowledgable about the materials they sell and are friendly. They took the time to ask questions and give great advice the first time we went in and even though we did not buy anything they were so helpful. We went back twice for pick up loads of product and they were just wonderful and the pricing is very affordable. I just found out this is the best way to transport termites, and fly ants (*those huge ones) into your property which can nest very quickly around your home and making almost if not impossible for even a exterminator to get rid off. So no more for us.

So many nice bricks, stone's, bark, or anything you would need to make your garden pop, but the Best deal they have is a truck load of mill ends for 8 DOLLARS two loads lasted my family all winter having fires almost every night

I showed up at Swanson's at 4:55pm today, knowing that they close at five and their associate kindly helped me. I received excellent customer service even though I kept him working after closing time. Very pleased with the customer service I receive every time I go in. And he also has my order memorized, 2 yards of fur shavings. He also remembered that I had brought a new addition to horse family at our ranch home. Thank you Robert.

I went there to purchase a 5 gallon bucket of rocks. Not just any rocks though, I paint rocks and hide them for others to find or I trade them. The man who assisted me was very pleasant and helpful. I was able to pick through mounds of rock to find exactly the ones I wanted. I will definitely go there again.

I received great customer service from Shannon, when I called to inquire about the options for getting some hemlock mulch. Deb was also helpful when I called back to verify product availability. Vic, the manager, loaded 8 bags of mulch for me and added a couple, complementary, torn bags because he knew I drove from Portland to get the product I really wanted.

SWANSON'S bark & wood products IS THE BEST EVER!!!!! They are very accommodating, friendly & ready to help. They know their products and will answer all your questions with confidence which made me feel comfortable with all my purchases. They get super busy so if you're in a hurry please be patient... it's worth the wait to get Expert advice & service. Vic is a great guy, he's funny & definitely an EXPERT! I'm going to pick up seed starter mix now!

we broke down on the side of the road with a broken bearing on our trailer. your employee Brian spent most of his night and morning helping us... from playing football with our 6 year old to driving my husband to and from the part shop... even bringing us coffee in the morning. his hospitality blows me away, may not be related to the company but I think you should know what an amazing man you have as an employee.

They are helpful on the upside not very personable on the customer service side and it is hard to find anyone you usually have to wait for awhile its almost like they are under employed and the employees are running around doing multiple things thats stress themnout

Great place to buy soil, bark, sand and rock products. Most items sold by weight and cubic yards. The quality is excellent. Price is a bit high.

About a year ago, I ordered 5 yards of bark dust from these guys. He showed up with about half of that! I called and talked to Dion, and she said it had been weighed. To those of you who don't understand this, a cubic yard is VOLUMETRIC, not WEIGHT! They ripped me off and all she could tell me was that is was weighed! I ordered by the YARD...pinheads who don't know how to sell legally. Expect to get less than you plan for with these guys. A YARD is not the same as a TON!!!

Went to purchase rocks for painting with my kids. They were affordable and the kids were able to pick out their own rocks safely. Very nice customer service.

Swanson s Bark! Great people and great assistance. Vick was super helpful today as I came to pick up chunk wood. Vick and his staff were kind and attentive to my needs. The only place to pick up chunk wood and get smiles while you re at it.

We bought rocks for painting. It is $5 for a 5 gallon bucket of rocks. You get to choose your rocks. The service is awesome.
