After two months of phone calls and even returning to the dealership, my husband finally spoke to Zach Barbaro today (10/22) and received a straight and HONEST answer concerning the $25.00 Visa Card promised to him after he had his 2009 Maxima serviced at Sutherlin August. It was not the $25.00, but the dishonestly of the staff. I spoke to Susan Doninicali, part of your management team and she lied (yes I said lied) and said she would take care of getting the card to my husband; but of course that never occurred. This was over two weeks ago; and during the conversation she even made the condescending comment that Sutherlin was doing this as a favor to their customers! Never start a promotion that you do not intend on honoring.then one of your sales associates : Kwamaine Ford, was rude and had the audacity to say: Are you finished talking? Kwamaine needs to look for a job where he does not deal with the public with an attitude like that. Your business is based on customer service, it seems as if two of your employees (including the young lady who took his original application for the card and failed to process it) need re-training. We have two Maximas and were considering using Sutherlin for our service needs; with this incident I do not see that happening in the near future. Remember, unhappy customers will tell at least 10 other people about their bad experience( social media makes this so much easier)

I had a check engine light that came on and went here, because it was closest to my house. Needed a new catalytic converter. They also recommended other repairs that were not needed. How do I know? After I approved the catalytic converter repair, I got home and suddenly my car is leaking oil all over my driveway. So, I take it to another Nissan location closer to my work, who I have used before and was impressed with. Sutherlin Nissan recommended front brakes, said they were 2mm - 3 mm. Nope - they were 7 mm according to the Nissan by my job.
They recommended coolant hose replacement. Nope - coolant hoses are not needed, are practically new condition.
The oil leak? The oil pan was clearly damaged and had to be replaced - the other Nissan dealership showed it to me when I came to pick up my car after I authorized THEM to do needed repairs (also needed a new oil cooler). But Sutherlin missed that recommendation.
Oh - Sutherlin said I needed new spark plugs - nope, didn't need those either. In a nutshell - Sutherlin recommended $2300 in total repairs (on TOP of the $1000 I spend on the catalytic converter). The other Nissan dealer got $1300 from me to make NECESSARY additional repairs - saving me $1000.
Is it because I'm a woman and they thought they could just run up the tab, thinking I wouldn't get a second opinion? I don't know. But the optics are pretty bad.
The car NEEDED what the second dealership recommended - it is almost 10 years old. But there were quite a few items it DID NOT NEED, that were just blantantly dishonest. When they recommend front brake pads and say they are 2mm - 3 mm, and another says "they look almost new and are 7 mm" - you have to question.
Another nice benefit of the other Nissan dealership - they put me in a loaner car so I could go back to work instead of waiting in the waiting room. No charge.

They were professional, polite, hospitable and overall amazing. After 2 hours of car selection and test driving and the final hour of getting that paperwork processed, they feed me! Real food, a great meal, like Thanksgiving real food, fried chicken, potato salad, rice veggies, corn, salad, cupcakes, cookies. To top that of I went in with the expectation of purchasing a certified pre-owned,, I drove off the lot in a 2018 sv!!!! I'm telling everyone to choose Sutherlin Nissan. You will not be disappointed. Based on my terrible experience today, I am compelled to write this review. My name is Jonathan Lecroy. I called today and spoke with Nicole in internet sales, such a pleasant and helpful woman to deal with! She set an appointment up for me to see a used 2018 white 370z, stock # P7547. I arrived to dealership at the set time, and was warmly greeted by Mr. Phillip. He had me through the door with a cup of coffee in hand in no time while he went to get the keys for the vehicle. He was quick, and we were on a test drive! As soon as I started to drive the car I knew something was wrong. The car was advertised as a Touring model, which includes a limited slip differential and Nissan's rev matching manual gear box, two essential things for me. I explained this to Phillip, but I also explained that I love the car. When we arrived back at the dealership he approached his sales Manager, Billy, to explain the false advertisement for the vehicle. I overheard as Billy told Phillip, "just tell him it's the same car, but just the base model with leather." I immediately stepped in and explained these are not nearly the same car. Instead of accepting responsibility for the wrong information being posted, the sales manager proceeded to tell me he used a third party ad agency and basically "it happens". I still loved the car!!! I went back with Phillip to discuss numbers. I had been car shopping all day. I had quite printed out from two different dealership, both the same amount, for what they were willing to give me for my trade in. Phillip came back from Billy with a lowball offer $1,500 less for my vehicle than what the other 2 dealerships offered, one of the other dealerships being a fellow Nissan dealership! Was Billy mad that I expressed my frustration for luring me out to Buford with false advertisement? I gave Phillip the printed offeres from the other dealerships for what they appraised my vehicle at. Phillip returned and told me that lowball offer is all Billy was willing to offer. He disregarded 2 other offers. It was clear to me that this Sales Manager takes things personally. I didn't just walk away, I ran!!! He didn't even have the management courtesy to come to me to explain why he couldn't match what two other dealerships offered me for my vehicle. Great staff, but terrible Manager.

I don't know how they do business. The only good experience I have had was when I got a rental until my new air bags came in due to the originals being recalled. The service people are great. However, my fiance baught a car, and it somehow ended up in my name. My father nearly didn't buy a car cause no one approached him after walking around for nearly 30 mins looking for someone. We even had our sale guy call us and complained about how we gave an honest review about him. Both my fiance and father love their Nissan cars, but regret buying from this dealership. I will be going elsewhere when I am ready to buy.

I went here today to get a brand new key to be programmed and cut since my old key was barely working. The cost of it was about 350, however while I was in the waiting room, the rep. who was assisting me, Sherry called me over to tell me that while a technician was moving another customers car into the waiting bay, that the technician scuffed my car's left side quarter panel and the left side of my bumper. Note: My 2007 Nissan Altima is incredibly old, it has 300k miles and the body is not in great shape anyways, also my left side quarter panel was already damaged anyways, so the damage that the technician accidental caused was minimal compared the prior damage. Of course they offered to compensate, but the lead technician Juan, said that they can either compensate me, or just take care of my bill. My car is already old as is, and the damage is just some clear coat damage that I can fix, so of course I took the deal and had everything done for free to compensate me. Basically I saved 350 dollars for just a little bit of my labor and supplies that I already have to fix the damage. Although they damaged my car, their response to it was incredibly logical and professional and I will be here again. Sutherlin Nissan is the place to go if you are in Gwinnett.

I knew what vehicle I wanted to purchase and had actually made a deal at another dealership.....until that dealership began playing games and I didn't even recognize our "deal" when they were through. So I began sending emails.....and one of those emails was responded to by Sutherlin. Because the dealership is 35+ miles from my home (and Dealer #1 was 3!), I wanted to be very sure we had an agreement on the vehicle, the trade....the whole thing. When I finally set foot in the showroom, I was greeted by one of the most knowledgeable salespeople I've ever worked with, who had my car cleaned, charged, and ready to go. Inside of an hour, I was out the door.......no surprises, no "extras," no games. I've since brought my second vehicle to Sutherlin for service.....and saved more than $200 over what was quoted to me by Dealer #1. I have had a handful of experiences with Sutherlin, but would recommend them without hesitation.

Other people have also reviewed that there contract came back with a margin of fees that were not discussed. Stay away from this dealership. I was warned by a co worker about doing business here and did not listen. As a result I was forced to pay for service that I thought was covered under my service warranty that I had purchased from this dealership. They completed the work on the car after finding out it was not covered and without contacting me to apprise me of the cost. I wish this were the first incident with this dealership but it is not. There have been numerous instances where during their courtesy inspections they have tried to get me to pay for service that other mechanics have said was not required. Now that my Service warranty is up I have no further reason to visit this dealership and they will never get another dime out of my pocket.
I would also beware of the many excellent reviews you see here. I would be surprised if these were not being submitted by employees.

Firstly, the car buying experience was phenomenal....
Firstly, the car buying experience was phenomenal. Cass was amazing. We were very happy with the purchase. However, less than 4 months after purchasing our car we experienced an issue and were unsatisfied with the resolution. My wife and I were stranded one night after our car wouldn't start. The battery cable was loose and could be easily pulled off. We were told that our car was rigorously inspected before we purchased it yet somehow the battery wasn't checked. After fastening the cable and jumping the car off, we left for home. Once, we turned the car off it did not start back up. We took the battery to an auto parts store for testing and they stated that the battery could not hold a charge and the reason was likely due to the loose cable.
We contacted Sutherlin and were directed to someone who basically stated that since our car wasn't under warranty that we were out of luck. They also stated that we had taken the car "as-is" and that it only received a "Safety Inspection" yet we were NEVER informed of that. Side note: I fail to see how a battery wouldn't be a part of the safety inspection. The man that we spoke to stated that he would sell us a battery for a discounted price. That price was higher than what Wal-Mart and Costco had batteries available for.
This recent experience has left a bad taste. We were all set to make any future purchases from Sutherlin but we will be rethinking that now.

When I got to the service desk I was informed that the rotation was free and the balancing would be $29 extra. I thought that was confusing wording and I have chosen not to go back to the dealership for any future maintenance.

Courteous sales team, listens to you and doesn't push you at all. We came in on a Friday night and took a test drive, then told them we were going home to think about it. We weren't pressured to make a decision that night and when we explained what we wanted, the salesman set us up with the perfect car. We didn't know it at the time but we test drove the car we eventually bought. These people are nice, friendly, sell a great product, and stand behind their sales. There are a few people who were responsible for this experience that I must recognize: Mr. Pierce not only demonstrated his professionalism, but he was a kind, courteous and patient sales representative, helping Mr.Cherry with my purchase. Mr. Pierce provided tremendous knowledge is selling and buying a car. He went out of his way to help me. For this, he must be commended. Such over and beyond service, should not go unrecognized. Ms. Hosch is an asset to the service department (and to Sutherlin in general). Her attitude of easy, her vast knowledge of automobiles, her smooth voice and her LISTENING skills, are a credit to Sutherlin. Her efficiency, her strong work ethic and her service philosophy, make her an invaluable team member. Talk about persistent; Ms. Jones was relentless in her follow up phone calls, her positive attitude, her hearing and listening skills, her patience and caring about my purchase, her assuring that my purchase was completely satisfactory. I have never experienced such concern over a car purchase! This woman went out of her way to help me with the Nissan survey by creating a Google account for me. I saved the best for last; Ryan. We were looking for a pre-owned 7 passanger vehicle. The sales man was nice but did not listen. My husband told him no 4 wheel drives so the 1st car he pulled around for us to see was a 4 wheel drive. He kept running all over the parking lot looking for it. We discovered several issues, one of which was major while test driving it and he still tried to push the sale. The next day he called my husband and when he was told again one of the things we did not want was a 4 wheel drive he argued that we could turn it off. They had not addressed the issues found ither. Rude service and hard sell tactics are no way to earn my business. My wife and I went to buy a car, the Nissan Leaf. We knew what we wanted to pay and the value of our trade in. We said that the only important thing was for them to walk us through the tax incentives. They failed to mention that the dealership keeps the federal tax because we are leasing. We didn't find out until we were nearly done signing all the papers. Needless to say, we felt caught off guard. We had specifically asked to be walked through all tax concerns. We told the finance officer that we were uncomfortable and that we did not feel comfortable continuing. We returned to the sales associates desk to discuss the problem. Then Taylor showed up. At first, he had some reasonable questions about our concerns. Then he became visibly frustrated and began the hard sell, badgering and bullying. "How did you not know about the Federal credits coming to us?" he said. "You've got to take this deal, it's too good to walk away from." And on and on. He would walk away and come back saying the same things. Three times. Finally, I had to ask him to stop. He walked off in a huff. We asked the sales person to please return the license plate to the car so we could leave. Then he comes right back and says, "Why are you still here?" and turns and walks off again.
Not once did he try to offer any solutions or apologize for the misunderstanding. He showed no sense of understanding the nature of our concerns without seeking to place the blame on us for our ignorance. He did not direct us to any literature on the subject. He just tried to squeeze a sale out of us. As for this being the "best" offer, we did better at Gwinnett Place Nissan. They offered a better lease and gave us more for our trade-in. I gave this 2 stars because the other people we dealt with were at least nice.

We had a mixed experience. The sales guy we had, Edwin, was great. He tried his best to take care of us and make us happy but that is where our good experience stopped. The sales manager assured us that they had checked the car we bought thoroughly and that everything was in order. When we took it to the Dodge dealership to get an extended warranty put on it they determined that the water pump was leaking and the sway bars needed to be replaced. We called Sutherlin and explained that they lied directly to us and they told us too bad. Then my family proceeded to post our experience on the internet heavily and they called us and told us they would fix it at their service department. By that time it was already fixed and they refused to even cover the parts for the repairs. We also in the past bought a different car from them where they didn't tell us that the doors on both sides leaked water and the heater didn't work at all.

it was so disappointed. I referral my friend bought the car at this dealership on December 2018. they promised me I will get $100 gift card for each friend I referred. since now I never received the gift card and I called them and several times they didn t have any answer for me.

This place is full of it. I've been shopping for a vehicle st this dealership for about a month now the price dropped on the vehicle, but the dealership would not sell the vehicle with the $500 price difference they lost my business over a $500 difference. I'm a guaranteed buyer and I thought the idea was for them to sell there cars not keep them on the lot! I couldn't believe that they couldn't push this deal through with only a $500 difference. Unbelievable!

I enjoy getting my car serviced at sutherlan because they are very friendly and make you feel comfortable about the servicing that is being done. If there is a problem, they correct it immediately without any hesitation. I know that they are here to serve me and my vehicle's needs and wouldn't push on something thats unnecessary.
