I contracted with Sunik to replace the roof on my 1959 bungalow and detached garage. Given the scale of hail damage in Calgary this summer, very few contractors bothered to return my requests for quotations. Sunik stood in sharp contrast to that, and the company owner dropped by himself to provide an estimate. His estimates on the time required to bring in the shingles and then schedule a crew were accurate. After we scheduled the job, the crew showed up on time first thing in the morning and immediately got to work. The replacement of both roofs, including re-sheeting of the garage, was complete within the day other than some minor finishing work that they completed the next afternoon. I was impressed with the focus and professionalism of the crew at every stage. They did an excellent job executing the work and keeping the yard free of debris. I would not hesitate to recommend Sunik Roofing to anyone looking for a reliable, responsive contractor.

Sunik Roofing did a great job shingling our roof in 2012. Unfortunately they were also to replace a chaise pan on the top of our chimney over our fireplace. We paid $425 for the pan. It was not replaced and we did not discover this until the fall of 2015 because water was leaking into the chimney and causing damage to the metal sheet above our fireplace. Sunik quickly replaced the chaise pan but despite assurances that they would repair the rust damage on the metal sheeting above the fire place, they have yet to do it.
Sunik team did a very good job in replacing the roof and siding on the west side of my house. But what is the most impressive is how Lowell and his team managed few outstanding issues after the work was done. Thank you.

After receiving a great personal referral, we selected Sunik Roofing to replace the roof of our bungalow. Lowell was extremely responsive and exceptionally knowledgeable about how best to replace our roof. The quote was timely and very reasonable. Then, all of the additional people at Sunik etc we interacted with were also great - from the picker truck operator who dropped off the shingles (and literally threaded a needle through the trees on our front yard) to the crew that showed up to execute the job. They worked strategically around the weather perfectly. They cleaned up with incredible detail and the result looks great. This is a totally professional operation and I would definitely go with them again.
We desperately needed a new roof & fast. Nicholas gave us a quote, patiently answered our questions, & made sure we had ALL the information to make decisions on what shingle we wanted. The crew came out & worked tirelessly in rotten weather. They were polite & worked hard. We have a very steep roof & the crew worked like they were on level ground! At the end of it all the cost was *exactly* what Nicholas had told us. There was no shock when the bill came in. I highly recommend Sunk Roofing. Nick and his team replaced our shingles as quoted...and also dealt with the additional issues the original build left for the past 30+ years. Anyone can rip and replace shingles, only true professionals can recognise future issues and remediate them before they cause issues. i phoned sunik roofing to come out and do an estimate for both my properties. we set up a date and time for the first and would arrange for the other upon arrival. i was informed that it is highly recommended that im home for them. so i took the day off and needless to say they didnt show up on a nice sunny day. so i called the offices and there not so pleseant receptionsist told me to stay there and they would be there. another 4 hours passed so i called again and was hung up on. needless to say skyline roofing did both my houses and they look awesome. highly recommend skyline!!
With the extensive condensation issues due to the weather changes in Calgary, it was a challenge to get a timely inspection and repair done this week. Fortunately, Brad from Sunik Roofing, was able to come by. It was very clear he had an excellent knowledge base, explained how condensation was an issue for us, made repairs and made recommendations. We are happy with the work Brad did for us in a time sensitive manner for us.

marcus is a credit to your company and provided solid customer service on the whole process even when we talked to him a year before when the original quote was done. I only ever got one quote as after the experience with Marcus. I knew it was just going to waste time. as I knew I was going to get the service that I paid for. The crew that did my job fantastic polite attentive and clean. they worked through the worst wind storm calgary has seen that was not expected at all. job done in 3 days. I made a last minute change to the job that delayed it one day, for materials. But they finished on the Saturday. I got my eves trough done on my garage as well. so re roof my house and garage and evestrough done in 3 days. and Tina was very helpful lining up the crew in such a quick time line.faster than I expected. If you are getting quotes make sure one is sunik and the other ones may be lower but the service you get with this company makes up the difference. I pay for the service,not only the product.
They were easy to contact and came out for a free quote within a few days of my first call. The quote was extensive, all encompassing prompt and informative with several price and material options that they took time to go over with me. They even took pictures of my roof to identify problem areas. Once the work started, they were prompt, organized, as quiet as they could be and they left the yard clean aside from two nails. I paid over the phone and received all warranty information via the mail a few days later. The roof looks great. So happy with their work as well as how safely they worked. I would highly recommend.
Given their BBB ranking and consecutive customer satisfaction awards, I didn't bother calling the references they provided. I hired Sunik to do the job and I would recommend these guys to anyone. They started Sunday and finished up early Monday afternoon, reroofing our home. The job was professionally done, and so clean that if not for the ladders and hoses, you might not have known we had work going on there. I am very impressed with Sunik, and very glad I hired them. On a separate note, I found their people very friendly and easy to talk to. Overall, I had a great experience with Sunik, and would hire them again in a heartbeat.

We just had Sunik replace our roof, and were very happy with the service. Nick came out to give us a quote and explained their service and our options thoroughly. Once we agreed to go ahead, they got on the job within a few days. The crew was friendly and efficient. They got the job done in one day, with some of them staying well after dark to clean up. The roof looks great. One reason we went with Sunik was their 5 year workmanship warranty and their plan to come twice in that period to check on the roof. I know they have been around for many years, so expect they will be here to honour the warranty, if necessary.
"Well, hubby did all the research, and there's a reason why Sunik came up so often in BBB searches. Fast, professional -- and they *get it* that having your rood redone is disruptive and messy. They do their best to minimize the trauma to the house and people living in it. They were the best prepared of the three roofers we called for an estimate, had the best "presentation", and were the most professional. They submitted aerial photos of our house, showing us the damage and areas of wear. They gave us a list of houses nearby to go check out the various types and colors of roofs.They stuck to the price, the deadline, and they even schedule subsequent visits to make sure every nail and scrap of material is cleaned up. (Not all roofers are that conscientious: We've had neighbors get their roofs done with other companies, who have let the packing materials just drift all around the neighborhood.) It's not a purchase that people plan for (and it's not cheap!) but Sunik did a fantastic job, and we would easily recommend them without hesitation.

They roofed our house back in 2015. Small 1300 squarefoot two story. They sent a one person crew; It took him five days to complete.Their hoist damaged my front lawn. Quality was so so. "oddly" my previous more detailed review has been deleted.
I bought my house in 1998 and Sunik Roofing did replaced my roof in 2002 then after 15 years they come back and replaced my roof again with a good price. I strongly recommend Sunik Roofing for anybody want a new roof. They did an amazing work. Thanks Sunik Roofing
