Sun Toyota Review

Sun Toyota is quite a lot more efficient checking you in for service than other dealerships I have gone to. The gentleman, Michael, who checked us in was friendly, helpful, and took the time to answer all our questions. Oh, and I must mention that waiting area...all that you would need while waiting...food, comfortable seating, etc.

Me and my wife have a great experience leasing a brand new Toyota RAV4. Great service.

We couldn t be happier with this dealership!! The customer service you receive while taking your vehicle in for service is truly top of the line! They go above and beyond to make sure you are treated with respect. They keep the friendly communication going while your vehicle is with them and they offer you a complimentary Uber to and from your home while you are waiting on any type of maintenance ( even an oil change). We will never go anywhere else.

He was was knowledgeable, and worked diligently to get me the car that I wanted, in a way that I could manage, with the best interest rate possible. Everything about the car I purchased was explained to me before I left, the car was detailed, and filled with gas before we pulled off the lot. We were given information for contacting the dealership in case of questions or problems, as well as had our first maintenance appointment scheduled.

I have been a customer for seven years with the purchase of my 2010 Venza. I went to Sun Toyota after researching the 4Runner on their website. As with my Venza, I found a 4Runner demo at a great price. Once I saw that it had third row seating I knew I had found my car. The sales experience was much better than my past experiences with buying cars. Doug Bouslog and James Smith were very easy to work with. I hate the back and forth of dealing and I only got that one time and told the guy that if he wanted to lose a seven year customer over $1000.00 that I would walk out the door now. I've always had a good experience with their service department as well.

We went to Sun Toyota and had an excellent experience from beginning to end. Young Kim was our sales representative, he was very helpful, very attentive, informative and very thorough. We got everything we wanted in a vehicle while staying within our budget. Mr. Kim was very patient and professional and provided such excellent service. I went into this dealership thinking that they were like all the other dealerships but I was surprising wrong. Jay London was my sales associate and he treated me like royalty. He treated me with respect, was very knowledgeable, he knew which car I was interested in and didn t try to get me to test drive a car that was immediately available; without question he went and had the car pulled up for me. He was extremely knowledgeable about the car, had all the answers to every question I asked, he never once tried to sale me a different car model, he worked really hard to negotiate a deal that I felt comfortable with, he never made me feel rushed despite it being past closing time, and he got me in and out of the dealership in record time. He made the entire buying process smooth and easy so that when I finally got to drive my car off the sales lot I was very excited and happy. He has even called to follow-up with me to see if I have any questions and ask how I am liking the car. We recently bought a new Highlander from Sun and also had work done by the accessories department. Both were very good experiences. We have dealt with Sun for the last 7 plus years.

Nice folks. Limited car inventory. Not one single SUV w/sunroof on this specific lot. Pricing pretty good on in stock inventory. I enjoyed an in person test drive. masks,social distancing signs, covid19precautions were in place. Pack your patience though, EVERY thing moves UNUSUALLY SLOW from finding the car on lot to time to testdrive to preparing/presenting initial sales offer..gheeze!. $25test drive giftcard to BE mailed in 7-10days.....I'll let you know.....

Ben Carriere and Sal C. were excellent to work with! It was definitely the most painless process I ve been a part of when purchasing a new vehicle. I had been looking for a newer Toyota Sienna for about 6 months. I really wanted a silver Limited edition. I had a 2008 white Limited with 200,000+ miles on it. Nick Nardello from Sun Toyota contacted me after an online search, and he joined me in the search. He sent me periodic text messages for 5 months. Two days ago, Nick texted me that a brand new 2020 silver Toyota Sienna Limited Premium had just come on the lot. I went to see it and drove it home! I m so happy, and so is my family! Thank you so much, Nick, for your persistence and genuine care!

James was professional, wearing his mask, and was very polite. He made my visit worthwhile. I can t say the same for others there I will NOT be returning there for any service on my car. Despite the signs and postings regarding safety of cleaning and wearing masks, I did not see this in place....actions speak louder than words.

After being mistreated at another car dealership, Marcus Morgan and Sun Toyota came in and really made everything possible. We walked off the lot that day with a brand new vehicle, and found us financing with an amazing finance company. Omar is hands down their best salesman. I came in looking to trade my vehicle for a solid used car, 3 hours and 3 cars later we finally worked out a more than fair offer. Omar handled my car buying needs with precision and patients all the while making me feel like a friend you've known for years.

I went here looking for a blue 07 Nissan Maxima. I made an appointment with jack, I drove an hour just to find out that jack was not there. how are you not there for an appointment you make ? So I just continued to look for the car. Another man was helping us to locate the the car. So we road around in a 4-seat golf cart with 5 people. He had no clue where the car was even at. After 30 minutes of riding around in that unsafe cart we found the car .... It was brown...not blue like the website and the salesman told me. So I was very disappointed. So I found another car I was interested in and they couldn't even run my credit because they're system was down and everyone was just sitting around sipping on there coffee like they were on a Paid break or something. You can go ahead and say I'll never be returning here.

Made it all go smooth, we agreed on a price I went to see the vehicle and I liked it. He had paperwork ready to go. Nice and easy, no issues

Dealing with Sandy Francisco was a pleasure. She was very knowledgeable about the Tundra and very patient as we looked over the truck. She made me feel like all her attention was towards me and that she was working in my corner trying to get me the best deal she could. Sandy was there thru every stage of the sale from showing the vehicle, the test drive, the financing, the servicing of the vehicle, and the final delivery of the vehicle. She even helped me transfer my personal belongings from the traded vehicle to the new vehicle. I would highly recommend dealing with Sandy on new or used vehicles. I'm positive you won't walk away disappointed.

me into another car. My previous car had been totaled and my funds were limited. The clock was ticking on my insurance rental car. Not only did they find me a GOOD

It was a rocky start but we managed to get apired up with T. Russell. Let me start by saying this woman is the best on the world. She will step up and do everything in her power to get you into the vehicle you want. She is honest and hardworking. She made sure while there we were taken care of and went out of her way to text and call to keep us updated. She used every resource she could think of and never gave up. If you go to Sun Toyota ask for T. Russell.

We told Patrick Chaban what we were looking for, where we needed to be. They made every effort to accommodate our request. Never was it an uncomfortable or pushy sale. Always a pleasure, sometimes even looking forward to visiting Sun Toyota for as simple as an oil change to financing a new car. Very Friendly atmosphere. Outstanding customer service and of course coffee and water is always free and hand delivered by the service agents. When Visiting 2 of my favorite people I always ask for is Baron Reynolds and Tony Roche. The service there is always top notch!

I'm going to give this a 1star review for the following reasons:

1st, every since I purchased a truck there, my personal information was given out to multiple warranty companies, I receive solicitations via phone, text and mail to add "extended warranty" to the vehicle I purchased at Sun Toyota, these calls are coming in on daily basis, and the junk mail for warranties piles up, I've had to take time out of my day to send certified cease and desist letters to these companies.

Sun Toyota, you have no respect for people's privacy.

2nd. I bought what I thought was a $25k "certified truck" unfortunately it had multiple issues, truck definitely was not inspected, it took 7 trips back and fourth to the dealer to resolve most of these issues, driving from Clearwater and back. to this day one of the problems has returned.

3rd. Finance guy went through everything so fast, when I finally got to look at the paperwork, additional services were added that I did not need, I have submitted multiple forms to have these services removed, It has been six months since I purchased the truck there, to this day a little over $2800 in additional services has not been removed. several emails and calls have not helped.

I will never purchase a vehicle from Sun Toyota ever.

Jason Bullock and Omar Ghanem did an amazing job getting us the vehicles we wanted at a price we were comfortable with. This is our second purchase with Jason and our third with Sun Toyota. Jason and Omar made what is normally a long, complicated process easy and stress free! You don't feel like you're speaking to someone who just wants to get the cars off the lot- these people truly care about their customers. They will go above and beyond! This is why we are repeat customers.

Carlos was wonderful and helped me get my rental car. here's hoping the repair work on my car is covered by the warranty. Wish me luck

I really didn't plan to buy but the deal was too good to pass up. If the experience had been anything other than great, I would not have made the purchase. Holy cow, I bought a $40,000 vehicle!

So today i went in with my girlfriend and mother looking for a new car, we were approached by a sales rep (Jonathan Krauss), great customer service, friendly and all the things that a great sales rep should display. We went around the lot looking at cars and he seemed to know the exact engine size, rin size, ect... most things all sales reps cant awnser off hand, unless they look it up on paper. Saw a car we liked, got the keys, and as we pull up he went in to get a plate to test drive, someone else by the name of austin waltz outside and says "Im the one who spoke with you guys on the phone, so ill take it from here" we thought this was a pretty d**k move he pulled but shrugged it off, after we get back from the test drive we went inside to talk numbers, after waiting for 10 min on this Austin to come back, I walked outside to Thank johnathan for his great customer service and chit chat for a sec, after i walk in, sit back down someone else comes to the desk, approaches with a cocky attitude and seemed to have short awnser to every question, overall experience was good up until the fact.

If you are looking for one big run around and to be lied to, this is your place to be! I was totally disgusted !

Patrick Pintavalle went above and beyond delivering vehicle, staying after hours to ensure smooth transaction. The final price was negotiated in a nice atmosphere. Communication was clear and quick. Financial office provided paperwork professionally. The dealer suggested multiple extra services like extended warranty and insurance but they didn't change their attitude when I declined some of it.

If you're having any mechanical issues with your vehicle ask for Ken Miller...He's awesome!!!! He went out of his way and discovered what was going on with my Jeep Patriot and had it fixed within a couple of days...

Don't bring your car for service this dealers just looking to charge people more money and don't like working your business manager services make big list service payments. You car have small problems manager service told you oh you car have this problem and this and this and you see your bill payment $2000 dollars all is lies. Warning this dealers

My experience at Sun Toyota was very straight to the point. I walked in picked what car I wanted and my salesman Rammie Hamdon went to work. He did everything possible to make sure I was going to drive off in my new car that same day. All and all I love my car and appreciate all the help from sun Toyota. Thank you also to nick in the insurance department for all the help you guys are awesome.

Kira is a great service advisor. She took care of everything and explained everything to me as well. She is by far the best service advisor I have had since I purchased my Tundra from Sun Toyota three years ago. Keep up the good work Kira.

I ve been a long time Toyota owner, 14 plus years. I travel all over the southeast and have had my vehicles serviced at many Toyota dealerships in the region. I can say in all my experiences with Toyota dealerships, Sun Toyota is horrendous, with service associates that blatantly discriminate and attempt to insult customer s intelligence. I have gone as far as to contact the owner, as on Sun Toyota s website, Mr. Marazzi wants to hear from customers. However, I received no response or resolution to them losing my collision appraisal. I was there today for an oil change and the assistant service manager, Mr. Gamble, was nothing more than disrespectful and insulting. It is an absolute shame that Mr. Gamble is permitted to treat customers the way he conducted business today. I have never had to walk out of a car maintenance appointment before; however no one should have to tolerate being repeatedly disrespected by a representative of a business. I do not recommend Sun Toyota.

On March 30, 2014 I purchased a new 2014 Toyota Corolla. I was convinced to purchase road hazard tire & wheel protection because my rims were worth $500 dollars each. The finance manager said that this protection would make sure my rims are protected if they are damaged. Well on December 2nd, 2015 I hit a pothole that damaged the inside of my rim and put pressure on my tire making it leak air. I took my car in to have it fixed, only to find out that the coverage for my rims is not valid. Toyota told me that since the tire was not damaged, that the coverage was not in affect. I was shocked to have to pay for a new rim despite having coverage that I clearly thought was just for incidents like this under my tire and wheel policy. The coverage I bought had a loophole in it. The loophole stated that the tire must be damaged before the coverage for the rim kicked in. I recommend nobody purchase this terrible coverage offered by Sun Toyota. When I called to have this dilemma resolved with Sun Toyota, I felt disrespected and ignored from one of their finance managers. It took several weeks to even receive an answer which in the end did absolutely nothing to help my cause. The finance manager never called me back, and then I talked to a service manager who also would not return my call. The only person who contacted me was their relation s manager who also would do nothing to resolve my concerns. I felt as if nobody even cared because I already paid for the policy and had no leverage with Sun Toyota so my problems did not matter to them anymore. Each manager wanted to blame someone else and not take responsibility for this poor, deceitful extended coverage. The customer service I received was such that I will never purchase another vehicle from Sun Toyota again. Don t make the same $500 mistake that I did!

Thanks Sun Toyota for tricking me into buying a worthless coverage.

I did receive a phone call, when I posted this review. The person I talked to was the finance manager Sandy Spieler from the very beginning. He had know idea who I was or why he was told to call me. When I explained to him again, he told me he had to talk to someone else and would get back to me in 1-2 hours. It is now 01/20/2016 and not a single call back. He either did not care or they told him about my situation and told him to not bother calling me back. Great Customer Service once again. Instead of telling me to call Chris Johansen maybe he should be reaching out to me.

I never received a phone call from Chris Johansen. I called Sun Toyota and was told Chirs Johansen has resigned but will relay the message of what happened. That was 2 weeks ago 03/08/2016. The Toyota repair company did call in for a claim but Fidelity said that the tire was not damaged so the coverage does not work for the rim. I did send my receipts multiple times. Chris has them and Sandy has them. I called myself to Fidelity and they denied me also. This just all comes back to Sun Toyota selling me a loophole coverage. Your customer service is still no help.

John LaFemina was very helpful, knowledgeable, and courteous. Unfortunately my vehicle had received a bad part and is back in shop waiting for a new ordered part to come in to replace the defective one. I understand these things happen and John has moved as swiftly possible to fix the problem.

I just had my car service at Sun Toyota and had an excellent experience. I had a lot of work done but it was necessary and I was aware of it. I met the technician Pat who did a wonderful job and met with me when I picked up my car explained everything he did and I couldn't be happier. Thank you Pat and Greg for a job well done. I would certainly recommend the store for any type of Automotive Repair since my car was not a Toyota.

I was drawn to Sun Toyota by their advertisement of No dealer fees and a low price for a new 2015 Camry. Everything was perfect. I drove down from Jacksonville, over 3 hours, to get the deal. The price was the price! I called to make sure the car was still available and left a few hours later. My Camry had a VIP sticker on the windshield with my name on it. Bryan was my salesman and was very professional. This was the best car buying experience ever!!! I wish I lived closer so I could get my new Camry serviced there.

Omar Ghanem is outstanding! More than a salesman Omar is a very caring human being! He treat us very respectfully, attentively and with utmost professionalism. Made us feel special by caring about our needs and wants! He didn t stop until he found the perfect car for us! We highly recommend Omar.

My experience here was sub-par. The salesman, Carlos, didn't work with us at all. We got a classic bait and switch approach. Negotiations were impossible to achieve. The salesman didn't even want to hear us out and give us the time of day. He answered his phone a couple of times as well while looking at a vehicle.

I recently purchased a new 2020 Toyota from DJ Besida our families 13th new purchase and the process quick and easy once I told him the car I wanted, it was ready for pick up when I arrived definitely will continue to buy our Toyota's from DJ at Sun Toyota

Rented a car from Hertz that's located in Sun Toyota.

Advertised Internet Price is not what it is!! Buyer Beware, they add on for Recon n Some Paint Coat, an extra $3500+, so a $15,991 car comes out to $22+, wow, but I kept getting, "we give you power train warranty for as long as you own it". No way to remove these charges so if they are built into the price, isn't that part of total cost? Well when the trunk lid rains on you from the inside and the salesman blows it off as "its no big deal, we price these used cars to sell" ummm no, especially when its seeping through the brake light!! Left and bought my car at ED MORSE GMC up the road later that same evening!!

Giovanni my sales rep was awesome!! Jeff the sales manager was great too. Very respectful, not your typical sales people. I went to other dealerships and no one would take care of me. I purchased a 2019 Nissan Maxima recently and I am super unsatisfied with multiple things from your company. I was pressured by my salesmen to leave a five star review but I have since deleted it and leaving the real one but I won't post my personal issues with you guys on here I prefer if you would give me a way to contact the owner of this company so maybe you can resolve some of these things. If not I'll post the full review I'll check back in a week...

I take my car here for regular oil changes. Service is very fast and very friendly.

I ll be honest, by visit didn t start off 100%. I showed up 20 minutes early for my 1:30 service appointment. I was greeted instantly by an employee and asked how they could help me today. I told them I had a 1:30 appointment with Tony. The young man told me Tony wasn t there. This is the second time I have asked for Tony as my service advisor, and he either came in and left, or didn t come in at all. Not a huge deal, just a little annoying. A few minutes later I was greeted by Dan, the assistant service manager. He apologized and thanked me for my wait, to which I replied I was early so I didn t mind waiting until my appointment time. From then on, he was very kind and helpful. He checked for any recalls on my car, just in case, offered a complimentary wash, and made recommendations. I told him about a noise my car made that I was a little concerned about and he made sure to make a note of it and have it checked out. The appointment took a little longer than he said, but the whole place was very busy, so I didn t mind waiting. I ll definitely be back. Thanks!

Sun Toyota is generally very responsive and helpful. My Prius is amazing. My last visit was no exception. My service writer, Lance Johnson was very helpful and understanding. My visit cost $1,000 but is the first repair I have had in the six years I have owned the Prius.

Jay London and Rammie N. Hamdan went above and beyond to get me into the Tacoma. The inventory was just great,so many to chose from!!! The place is top notch and everyone was very nice and respectful. Everyone treated me as if I were a part of their family!! My girlfriend will be shopping for a new vehicle soon and I know she will go to Sun Toyota. Thank you Jay and Rammie!!!

Michael Schumaker was my sales rep and he was so helpful and cooperative.
He never pressured me and always answered my txt in a timely manner.
I explained what I needed for terms and payments and Color of used vehicle I wanted and he found me the exact truck.
I highly recommend him when your looking for your next vehicle.
On the negative side: the dealership forces you to take ( and charged you for things you do not want ) at a high price,things such as nitrogen in your tire, a 3 time key fob replacement and a clear coat ( which is a glorified wax job) and will try to charge you $1,800 or more for these 3 things. I told the Michael 3 times I do jot want these ! Ge told the manager who said I had to take them but they would reduce the cost to $895.
They will sneak in extra charges and you either take it or walk out. I should have walked out.
The charges for dealer fees and prep $995
Were added on at the sales desk then again in the finance office . I did not catch this until 3 days later when I finally had time to go over the paper work. I called the dealership, left messages for owner and General manager, no call back. I wrote letters to both of them and hand delivered them to from desk. 2 weeks later a fast talking sales manager called me, he had me so confused at the end , I asked him to mail or email me a break down of all charges. He said he would. I bought in mid Aug- he called in mid sept- this is Dec and nothing has ever arrived.
I wrote 2 news stations and Attorney General 2 weeks ago.

I found my car on the third visit to Sun Toyota over the course of about 2 months. Each time I went to check on different vehicles, I was always treated very well and found the entire staff to be extremely knowledgeable and courteous. Tommy Tsilonis took what is normally a long, drawn out, and financially painful experience and made it a pleasure. My thanks to all of the guys there that made that day happen without a hiccup, you are all amazing at what you do. Oh, and by the way, I love my car.
