Purchased a new Prius here last year, at first because they were the only dealer with stock on the model/color we wanted, but it turned out to be the best price by far. Returned this year to buy our second Prius -- again because they were the only dealer who could get the model/color we wanted. And again, their price was the best by several thousand dollars.

We had an amazing experience at Sun Toyota this weekend. We had Julia H as our sales representative, and she is absolutely amazing! She was knowledgeable of the process, understood our needs, worked around our circumstances, and made sure we had as stress free process as possible. I m so grateful for the work she did for us. I have to say that I ve bought several cars in the past but truly enjoyed working with Pat Hayes at SunToyota. Since we live close we have tried a few times to buy here when we were shopping for a car. It has never went that way. We find the cars to be less detailed than we expect and the sales staff always come across like they are bothered to have to show us anything. We wont try here again.

This was an out of State sale. In SC here. Worked with Ben Carriere in Sales and he took care of everything working with the documentation department and the rest of the Team. Also took care of us when we came in to pick up the car. The car and paperwork was ready to go when we got there.
There is a Budget Avis Rental lot a couple of miles away and he met us there. If you are coming in using a rental car check them out as many charge a fortune for one way trips and are close by.
I would highly recommend Sun Toyota and if you get a chance to work with Ben you will not be disappointed. He has also followed up since the sale.
If you have any concerns about purchasing on line and either shipping or picking the car up you do not have to worry. They will take care of You.

The dealership is amazing. Lots of food/drink and seating options. Prices and customer service was excellent. Only complaint was it took almost 2 hours for an oil change with an appointment

Recently bought a new Camry from Sun Toyota and had a very pleasant experience. Very friendly staff and management. This is my third new Toyota Camry purchased in the Tampa area and the first from Sun, but it won't be my last. This is an update to my original post: I've had the opportunity to have my new Camry serviced twice now at Sun Toyota and I must say that I'm totally impressed with their entire service and sale organization. I've used other Toyota dealerships both here in the Tampa Bay area and in the Panhandle, but this company is hands above the rest. Anyone thinking about buying or servicing their Toyota should try this company out, you won't be disappointed.

It all began with an internet inquiry... Gage B responded in timely manner. We chatted and I shared my time line and vehicle questions. Nice informative exchange. Weeks later my schedule changed so I arrived unannounced and was greeted by Gage in a friendly and welcoming manner. What a easy going professional that listened and asked questions. My daughter wanted a used Corolla and we visited Sun Toyota because it was closest to us and online their webpage showed multiple used corollas in the price range we sought.

Very disappointed at first because none of the cars online were there for us to inspect and test drive. Also, the price range was way off on what was available online. The sad part is that I had to go online with my mobile device and point out the cars we wanted to see. Eventually they found the cars. I found it ludicrous that I had to pay an Assist Fee simply because I was not trading in a car. Then another ridiculously high Destination Fee for a car that had been traded right there!! Perhaps that s the fee for driving it 1/16 of a mile to get it from one parking spot to another!

There idea of negotiation was truly terrible so we left, our salesperson was awesome and asked if we d reconsider. So we went to eat, we communicated by phone, and reached an agreement.

We came back, signed the preliminary papers and then had to wait 150 minutes to be called to the processing office! I was so glad to leave that place! But my daughter was happy that she got her car.

Don t go on a Saturday if you can avoid it. Plan on having overly high numbers thrown at you and don t be desperate to buy!!

I went to Sun Toyota and was greeted by Steve. He was very friendly. I went to this dealership with a car in mind and he was quick to get it ready to see and took the time to answer some questions about it. He eve went inside to check on a question I asked and gave me an answer without beating around the bush. The lady inside at the counter and the finance guy were also very nice and friendly. all in all the three people that I dealt with made my experience very pleasant and I will definitely will go back for another vehicle in the future.

This Toyota Dealer never takes appointments for services seriously. I was treated like a regular walk-in customers for oil change since when I arrived, no one was asking me if I have an appointment or not. It always takes me more than 2 hours to get the services done.
They also had coupon for in n out car washing. When I got the car back, everything was still the same. Nothing was cleaned (tons of dirt were still inside my carpet, bird poops are still on the hoods and my car, and lots of bugs were still on the bumpers of my car).
One more thing is that when I gave them my car for service, they told me to wait in the lobby for shuttle and someone would tell me when the shuttle's ready. About 1hr waiting hour, I asked them if there was a shuttle to pick me up, they said that it was my fault for now showing up at picking up area and they were waiting for me.
This dealer is so lame. They would consider to improve more on their service.

Love sun toyota I won't buy anywhere else they are always the beat deal but I won't purchase anything from there parts department they wouldn't price match another dealership on the all weather mats they wanted to charge me 20 dollars shipping and handling even though I was standing in front of them don't buy parts from them wish I could give the parts department 1 star John was the person who I spoke with can't belive they would try to charge shipping and handling if your standing in front of them

I really don't understand why they give you an appointment then take walk-ins before your appointment. Waiting 2hrs for an oil change is ridiculous. Very disappointing!

I live in the Florida Panhandle and had flown in town to visit family. Really wasn't planning on purchasing my new car on this visit, but they had the exact 2018 Camry that I was looking for. My Toyota Salesman DJ Besida was easy to work with. He didn't pressure me and helped get my car for a fare deal. My shopping experience was so good that while I was demoeing the car a dealer from back home texted me, but i desided to buy here instead of having the car ordered and was prepared to cancel my flight and drive my new car home 7 hrs. I recommend Sun Toyota to anyone interested in purchasing a new car and definitely would recommend asking for salesman DJ Besida for a hassle free experience....absolutley love my car and got 35/ gallon.

If you are in the market for a new car, PLEASE ask for Omar as your sales consultant. He was one of the best cars salesman s I have ever done business with. He was extremely friendly and never once made us feel pressure into making a sale. We will definitely be using Omar again in the future and recommending him to our friends.

Over the years I have purchased many cars. Most of the time the experience is for lack of a better word, terrible. HOWEVER, my experience the other day at Sun Toyota was one of the best experiences I have had. I was called in to talk about trading in my 2017 rav4 for a 2019 rav4. I ended up being scheduled with Jesse (who by the way, is a true gentleman, knows his cars and didn t make me feel cornered or obligated in anyway) working with him and Jafar, I let them know my stipulations for trading in my current care for a new one, and when I say they met all my stipulations and heard what I had to say, without trying to completely screw me. If you are in the market for a new car, to trade, to upgrade and so on, I highly suggest going to Sun Toyota

We bought a service vehicle from Sun Toyota, 18 months ago. At just 100k, one of the brake components malfunctioned, creating a very costly repair (over $4k)!
After explaining the situation to the service manager, he went the extra mile, calling Toyota directly to look for other solutions, for our business.
His extra effort resulted in a repair amount that was much more reasonable for us! Thank you John Lafemina, and John Mendonca, for providing a level of service that is hard to find.

Went back here to buy another car, as we had a great buying experience last year. They have become just like all the other used car dealers on 19. They offered $5000 trade value on a $15000 certified used Prius we bought from them last year. Besides a years worth of driving, nothing wrong with it, even maintained it there.

So drive a car off their lot, guess what, they don't even believe it's worth it.

Purchased numerous vehicles from Sun, always use Sun for my Vehicle services. Salesman Patrick Hayes, and Service personal are professional, courteous, and knowledgeable. My service tech is Anthony Roche. Super knowledgeable and an asset to your Dealership. Tony is a always pleasant, recommends scheduled maintenance and replacements, cares for the dealership and the customer. I consider him not only my Tech adviser, but also a friend. Receptionists are always pleasant, helpful and courteous.

I bought a new 2018 Rav4. I worked with Steve and Ben in the internet sales department. Ben was very knowledge and took the time to explain the car and the car buying process. He didn't try to push me into anything I didn't want nor try to up sell me. The whole Sun Toyota team was very pleasant to work with, from buying the car to the follow up after the purchase.

After weeks of online shopping & walking a lot of car lots, I was at my wit's end. My girlfriend took me to Sun Toyota where we met Jay London the answer to my prayers, I told Jay what I was looking for in a truck and it was no time before Jay gave me everything I was looking for in a truck & believe me when I tell you it was no short order. I wanted low miles, back up mirror, suicide doors, a lot of safety features and a warranty that no other could beet. It only took Jay 1 or 2 trucks before he show me the one, this was the one I was taking home, everything I asked for and more. Jay London your the best & I thank you from the bottom of my heart for making my first new vehicle buying experience a joy & not a nightmare. I will be telling everyone I know to call Sun Toyota and ask for Jay London..

Service department is shamefull. Its sad Walmart fixed the problem toyota caused and could not find. It was a leaky tire valve Toyota caused after They convinced a 17 year old she needed a tire rotation. They do not return calls and are just shamefull. Do not go there for anything and I mean anything.

Not sure why they have you make an appointment. I showed up 10 minutes before for 10k mike Toyota Carr and almost 2 Hours later I am still waiting. I have asked and texted for an update and no one gets back to me.

I placed a call to the general manager, and I m hoping that this helps someone in the future. Interest rates are important, holding customers hostage at the dealership is not OK.

What I mean by that is the sales tactic get them in the door, and then don t want to leave without a car was what I witness happen to a disabled veteran. Not only that but they were not going to inform him that at a 20% interest rate he would be paying an additional $16,000 for the car.

With that said, I don t know specifically where the linchpin is. From what I can tell it s either the sales rep or the finance department. Either way I would steer clear scam son Toyota

Excellent buying experience with Sun Toyota - and I absolutely hate buying cars. They had a ton of options to choose from in each vehicle we looked at. We weren't sure exactly what we wanted when we arrived, but our salesman, Carlos, took us on several test drives and spent half the day with us until we narrowed it down. The best part was that we got to give everything a thorough test with no pressure. After a few days we returned with the exact description of what we were looking for and they brought one in for us by the next day. It had a pinstripe we weren't interested in, and Willie, had it removed at no charge. We were impressed that that general manager, Robbie, took time out to meet with us when the truck came in and wanted to make sure it was exactly what we wanted. Since our purchase, we have had routine maintenance completed and their service department is incredibly efficient. Overall, we are extremely impressed by the customer service we received from everyone we have met with from the start and with their ongoing interactions with us. We love our 4Runner, and will definitely be going back here for our next purchase.

This place has way too many stars for having such terrible customer service. I've tried calling several times to get an answer on why my new Toyota Tacoma truck is auto shifting. Just to be transferred six times and then put on hold for 15 minutes and disconnected. I have had nothing but terrible customer service from here!!!

We purchased a used car a few months back and had some issues with it. We brought it to Sun Toyota's attention and dealt with Fearase Hamdan. I must say they took care of everything they promised. They are very helpful and professional .

Great clean facility with free water and a food bar. Prices are a little high, but the service is reliable and worth it for the longevity of your Toyota.

While I did not end up finding what I was looking for at Sun Toyota, Aidan McBride, the salesman that helped me and my family, was great. He was friendly without being too personal. He didn't talk our ears off like some do (and we'd been to a few dealerships where the salesman just did not shut up and were quite annoying.) Aidan was straightforward and offered great information on the vehicle I was looking for that helped me make a decision with a vehicle I eventually found. Thank you, Aidan!

I came here to get my car worked on about a week ago and detailed just yesterday. My service advisor, Ken, was great. I was very concerned about previous work done at another shop and i had a million questions. Ken was able to talk to the tech working on my car and get every question answered and even showed me pictures to help explain. I had a tune up, oil change, alternator replaced and then cosmetic work done here at separate times. Working with Ken was great. He gave the same helpfulness and care both times we worked together. It feels great to know I can trust this dealership. I haven t heard many great experiences of dealership mechanics in my family. Maybe since they drive Ford lol. The work itself done on the car was quality. I felt the car was handled with care which is important to me since it s about 14 years old. My advisor also helped me with finance options questions and other care questions i had in preserving the life of my car. Very knowledgeable and great to work with. 12/10 recommend. If you come here, please be patient and nice with your advisor. They are on their feet all day and go back and forth between the shop and desk. ( I was here the entire time the car was getting fixed ) You can also trust everything you allow to get done is necessary. They are not trying to take all of your money here.

It s hard to write anything because my initial review keeps mysteriously disappearing. But I will say I stand strongly behind my one star.

Rude rude rude. And super degrading to women.

They said they detailed my car prior to delivery lies lies lies.

Was looking to test out the beautiful new Camry s. The amount of color combinations and trim packages was enough to make your head spin. Zach did an outstanding job explaining all the different packages, as well as the upside/downsides of each. Very honest and when I m ready to purchase, I know who I m going to!

I went there yesterday and got me a Tacoma 4x4, very happy the service, did all the negotiation on the phone with Victor A. the guy was very professional, we didn't have to go back and forth I told what I wanted and he make me very low offer... he beat every single dealer in Florida( I get quoted for almost every dealer in the state), and I can't say less of Mario, he was very nice and friendly show me the car, explained how everything works, financing guy (forgot his name sorry) he is a cool and friendly guy. Scam Alert!! I have been taking my 2008 Sienna to Sun Toyota for years but I stopped going there in 2018 due to their lack of integrity. Here is the story: Back in 2014 during a routine oil change visit, they told me we had a leaking front steering "rack." I approved the repair and it was done. Less than 3 years later, during another routine visit, they informed me that we have the exact same problem. I was also informed for the first time that they had previously installed a "rebuilt rack." I could not believe they were trying to con me for the exact same issue. I told them that this repair is on them and they should fix it. They refused. I refused the repair. The car has been driving fine ever since without the repair. This was a scam to upcharge me. I have never been back. BEWARE!!!

Update, I recently took my van to another auto repair shop for a different issue. They said the front "rack" is fine. These people at Sun Toyota do not have integrity and will try to rip you off!

I had a factory defect on my brand new truck that Toyota Corporate would not address, and just brushed the issue aside. I was planning on selling or trading in the truck on a different make altogether after this experience. I decided to see if the dealer would be able to help in some way, and their Quality Assurance Manager, Service Manager, and Sales Associate validated my issue and took ownership of Toyota Corporate's issue when they did not have to. For such a large dealership, they provide personalized attention and small-town like service. They "made it right" and I can't thank them enough, especially all of the hard work and personalized time their QA Manager put in. Because of him, I'll definitely make the drive out there past other dealers to purchase a new Toyota from them again and refer my friends and family any chance I get.
