Great place for anyone that loves outdoor activities. Tons to do and great for families
Sun Peaks can offer so many different things that it's unbelievable. Really beautiful nature all around. Skiing, biking, hiking, geocaching, golfing, many crystal clear lakes in short distance for swimming, paddleboarding. Everyone can find things to do here. Not so busy as like in other resorts.
A very beautiful resort with excellent skiing/snowboarding. The mountain closes relatively early at 4:00pm and does not offer much for night skiing. However, there are still many activities to do in the village. Sun Peaks offers excellent guest service and accommodates for all ages.
Great afternoon .... fun teaching staff for kids, nice accommodation for families on a day trip.
Great variety of runs for all levels, progressive runs the help you improve, awesome snow and resort village area - just go there and enjoy.....
Every year my family and I come here 2-3 times a year. Worth the trip in the summer or winter. Wish I could live here!
Snowbombing Events and Boarding at SunPeaks this weekend were a great way to end the season!
I am from Seattle and grew up skiing here. Its an amazing mountain with a family friendly low key feel. An amazing escape from the crowds at Whistler. This resort also has a more consistent climate than Whistler! Great snow on all three mountains!
What a smoking deal this hotel offers for British Columbians.
A very low rate and Esso gas cards thrown in.
All this with a nice room and friendly, professional staff.
My family and I had a fantastic long weekend at this picturesque mountain getaway.
We stayed at the comfortably appointed Pinnacle Lodge which was only an 8 min walk to the chair lifts. I enjoyed walking the resort's streets and the variety of restaurants.
A big hat tip to the incredibly welcoming locals, who were always happy to provide directions, advice, and tips.
We're definitely going to be back... The kids haven't stopped taking about it!
Very good ski resort, even in early season. If you are deciding between this and Whistler, there is no competition - this is far superior. Its cheaper, the snow is loads better, there are FAR fewer people with lift lineups being anything but existant, end even though the village is smaller, i found it much more cozy.
Fun any time of year, snowboard in the winter, gravity karts in the summer. Lots of restaurants and bars, great spot
Very happy with the service from staff. Great family vacation
Beautiful place wonderful skiing. But, it's sort of disgusting that they have remained open during this pandemic. A lot more than 50 people are lining up behind each lift. It just seems like a complete disregard of the spread of an already contagious virus. Incredibly irresponsible.
Lovely Place, fun skiing good atmosphere, pro tip do not ski naked through the village.
Low crowds, amazing mountain biking, friendly staff. Tops.
AMAZING!!! Such a great place to ski and snowboard. No lines. Great village life. Amazing conditions. Hit up Mt. Morrissey for a hidden gem of a time.
Great location to getaway and relax or attent a conferences. Prices are very reasonable for the location. Tons of family things to do, stuff for singles as well. So many choices to eat, drink or just kick back and have a coffee or tea.
The location was perfect, the room was clean and comfortable...dud not need any services
Overall a beautiful property with a great pool (we were lucky to enjoy some sunshine).
Due to covid there was really no service, which is totally fine, but therefore I cannot comment on it.
I would probably give this stay a 3.5, but there is no option to do so.
My partner had booked this stay for my 30th birthday, he had mentioned that it was my birthday during the booking on the website as well as in a separate email (which he btw never received any follow up/answer to). No one seemed to be aware at the hotel and there was nothing done about it. Honestly no big deal, but for someone with a hospitality background myself, I am just mentioning this, as the hotel seemed extremely quiet (no surprise with covid) and this would have been an awesome opportunity for the hotel to do something nice and special for one of the few guests staying from a Sunday night to Tuesday.
Second of all and more important the room was overall clean, but later on when we sat at the table we found crumbled pretzel pieces under the dining table and by the dining chairs.
Meaning you could tell that Housekeeping had vacuumed half hearted and not moved the furniture...not extremely great with covid!
Note on the side: I have emailed these comments to the hotel right after the stay and received a follow up saying that my comments will be discussed with the respective teams.
We stayed with friends for 5 days in March. Very good accommodations, central location and staff that cares. Will definitely use again when visiting Sun Peaks!
Great mountain, friendly staff, terrain for all abilities, and a vibrant village.
We were visiting the resort last summer and had one of the best experiences until we bumped into a group staff who were racially abusing their customers (with us being one among them). We escalated this to the management and hope they've now taken actions to train their staff better. While I really love the place I dont think I am ever going back to this place again.
Second largest ski area in all of Canada and not nearly as long of a wait to get on the chairs.
Great resort! The lift lines are much shorter than Europe or other mountains and there's plenty to do than just ski as well
The environment is beautiful, well-equipped, and the lobby furniture is quite distinctive!
I love skiing here. Perfect for long cruisers with dry, well groomed snow.
Lovely hotel. Person at front desk could have been more helpful.
Great place to ski! Family friendly, great snow, lots of interesting terrain.
Was sledding for the kid and horse drawn sleds and good food
Lots of groomed terrain. Short lineups. I wouldn't mind a few more mogul runs but there are plenty of long runs to ski. Restaurants in village were busy and good.
Really many trails all around the valley. Food court is nice and clean. Best of all, free wifi in food court.
We loved it here. Beautiful accommodations. Natural environment. Walking trails.
Friendly staff. Tried learning snow boarding some time back with a trainer and she was an awesome teacher. Even during these Covid times, staff have taken precautions to ensure health safety.
Awesome mountain biking, skiing, and events. A short drive from Kamloops.
Opening day was wild! Sick pow, fresh lines and rad people
Very nice place to stay, everyone is pretty easy going I had a good time on the mountain the pow is awesome
Best resort I have been to great hills. Great for ski and snowboarders of any levels.
Chair lift up for a day hike at the top was very convenient, takes all the worst parts of hiking and leaves you the best. Book online ahead of time to potentially save a few bucks.
Sun Peaks is a gorgeous mountain, out of the way enough to feel special, but close enough to still be accessible. Come for the charming village, the fantastic food, the immaculate service, and, of course, the activities. Keep coming back for the incredible community you will fall in love with.
Been coming here for 13 years! All the way from Ontario
Beautiful resort with a few lovely shops and restaurants. Enough skiing for weeks and friendly staff, guides, and teachers.
Very good accommodation, great facilities for bikers, walkers and visitors
Fantastic powder and great spring skiing.
We have visited several different seasons with delightful results over the years. Easy to find ski out/in rooms. Like skiing in the Alps for vibe. Our family favorite.
Better skiing and less money than Whistler/Blackcomb.
I did a day visit and it's open to public so family enjoy it all day.
Wonderful Sun Peak Resort for the whole family. Snow is great, was a sunny day and no line up to the lift. ! Many fun for kids !
Despite Sun Peaks being a relatively secluded resort area, the facilities and roads are well maintained. All the staff we encountered in the guest services and at the go-cart racing were friendly and helpful. The cabin we stayed at was close to a reception area with a convenient store and numerous activites (driving range, bungee cage, go-cart racing, and hiking trails. Everything was within walking distance. I would highly recommend my friends to come visit again.
Its a decent little get away. Little place trying to act like whistler.
Love the snow and atmosphere at this fantastic hill!
Wow, let me tell you about these peaks. There are three of them. Sun? It's out sometimes. Not quite the sun peaks I was looking for but I will cope. Theres is quite a bit of snow. These are peaks we are talking about. There is gonna be some snow. Only thing I would like to see here is a Roots store but there is a Helly Hansen so I'll get over it.
Finally Kamloops has a decent ski hill. It has come soo far from the todd mountian days. Keep up the growth!...
Great ski resort. Small, homely and really nice village with small shops and restaurants on both sides. This place is growing each year with more and more condos and houses being built. And there are some now living permanently at Sun Peaks enjoying the great BC outdoors all year long. I look forward to coming back to Sun Peaks in the weeks to come for more skiing and in the summer for biking and golf.
Good terrain and lots of options for all skill levels. Also not a busy place during the week!
