My husband and I had a great experience purchasing our new vehicle from Brian and the team yesterday. We sincerely appreciated their kindness, helpfulness, and transparency. Not only was this experience not painful (like car buying always seems to be), it was surprisingly pleasant. We never felt pressured or taken advantage of, which has been our previous experience with other dealerships. I have taken my cars to Sun Motors for service since 2007, including my mom's Mercedes and my BMW. The service advisors and everyone involved (drivers, cashiers, sales department) have always made me feel like a member of their family. These guys have spoiled me...I went to the VW dealership a few months ago to service my son's Jetta and it was such a disappointing experience compared to Sun Motors that I now take his Jetta to Sun Motors for service. I went to several dealers, including other manufacturers, but by far this was my best car buying experience in a long time. I contacted them online (on a Sunday, after hours) about a couple certified Mercedes I was interested in and received a response within minutes. I was assigned Rowan Dickerson to set up a test drive. Rowan called me, we set up what cars I was interested in a date/time to test drive a couple. When I arrived the cars were ready for me to drive and Rowan searched his inventory to find us exactly what we were looking for. Rowan was very thorough with everything and actually knew what he was selling, which was refreshing since 99.9% of the time I feel like I know more about the car than the "salesperson". We made a pretty straight forward deal and they got me an excellent rate on financing along with a fantastic warranty. The dealership is what you expect. Its new, nice, clean, has a kids area, etc. 5 stars all around for this place, they earned a returning customer for sure!

Do not trust the diagnostics or reviews at Sun Motors. You will be treated very well by everyone there. However, a non-routine problem developed with one of our vehicles and they threw parts at it in a way that was fast and efficient but way over what was actually required. To give just one example, I needed a repair on a Sprinter van that Sun Motors estimated at $2,400, and I was warned that it could be double that depending on how it went. When I asked the service rep at Sun Motors to keep the parts the mechanic said had to be replaced and return them to me, I was told to take my vehicle elsewhere, which I was glad to do by this point. I moved the vehicle to the Mercedes-Benz dealer in Hagerstown and had it properly diagnosed and researched for a permanent fix of $850. We had trusted Sun Motors over the years as repeat customers and would have gotten burned for it had I not been extra vigilant.

I took my GL450 here for an appointment same day service. Once I entered I was completely ignored by the service person I was meeting. He had myself and my one year old standing at his desk while he finished eating crackers. (Rude!) Once my truck was diagnosed he came back with $7,200 estimate with services that weren t needed but tried to force them on me. After going over the items on the estimate the representative walks back over to his desk and talks about my estimate and situation with all the men there. They looked like high school girls. I ended up getting an intake fixed after waiting over 5 hours the car wasn t ready. I had to order a rental car to get home in. This was near closing time as I just got off the phone with the rental company when the service rep walks up and basically tells me we re closing so you re going to need to go is your ride almost here. I took my truck to another Mercedes dealer to get my work done. I paid for another diagnostic test and the services needed and walked out with a $2,200 bill! I would not recommend this service department to my worst nightmare!

Excellent dealership! We drove 300 miles to purchase a GLC which was posted online. Adam contacted us right away with answers to our questions. Dan provided wonderful service in seeing that everything was taken care of before arriving there. Upon arrival, we were greeted by Devin who provided us with a warm welcome, made sure everything went as smooth as possible and the suv was just as represented. Truly a courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly staff! No worries, highly recommend and if the opportunity presents itself we will be back!

What ultimately led to a purchase was the exceptional communication of Adam Mann who took the time to learn what I was seeking and intuitively strike the right communication balance. I ultimately purchased a great car at an exceptional price without a test drive or personally seeing the vehicle because of great full team (Brian, Dennis) communication worthy of my trust. This place appears to be the gold standard of how it should be done.

Let me start off by saying that the owner of this dealership is a great guy and down to earth. In the beginning of our lease he went well beyond what he should have and took care of us after our initial salesman fell short. When it comes to the service department they are definitely a five on some days.
The only downside that I see with the service department is that they have poor communication skills. Try to coordinate a repair and constantly get a voicemail. The poor design of Mercedes has made it where the car has seen the shop more than it should. The next day after leasing our car it was in the shop, NEXT DAY! The reason that I am giving the dealership the rating I am is because of the sales team. I ask for upfront pricing when it becomes available and wanted to be within a certain price point and was told that should not be a problem. Only to come find out that we are over $100 difference between where I wanted to be and where they're saying they can be. I will look for another Mercedes dealership that can achieve my price point. I will leave a review of them once the vehicle is purchased.

I purchased a new Mercedes 300E from owner Klair Sunderland back in the 80's and had a wonderful experience with him and the whole staff. Fast forward to Sept 2016 and now I find myself back purchasing an Audi S5 Cabriolet. Now that the leadership has been turned over to Klair's son Dan, I still feel the same (maybe even better which I didn't think would be possible) family pride of ownership when I came in and was warmly met by my "Audi Brand Specialist" Ben Catlin. Through the whole buying process, it was enjoyable. I would like to also say that the used auto manager Dominic was a joy to interact with. Since I also looked at a BMW (from Sun and another dealer), I would add that the conversations I had with Lynn and Peter at Sun BMW demonstrated superb product knowledge. When I told Peter I was leaning towards the Audi he expressed delight, reaffirmed my decision and showed no concern he would be "losing" a sale. In fact he was happy that I chose to stay with the Sun family even though I didnt buy the bimmer. I sense everyone employed at Sun genuinely feels they are treated with family love, and I admit I also feel that love. Finally a special shout-out to the owner Dan. Through out the month of September Sun Motors donated $100 for every car sold to Bethesda Mission s Community Center! Thanks so much Dan and great work demonstrated by your staff. I am proud to be part of that number and your family!
