The staff here it terrific. It's a great place to get your music supplies and instruments. It's student friendly.

Very good customer service and the sales associate helped me and even gave me a deal.

Took my son's trumpet in to see why the valves were sticking. They quoted me a provefor a complete tuneup but when I told them I couldn't do that just now they gave me a booklet and instructions for cleaning the trumpet in the meantime. Even offered to teach him how to clean it.

I've had many positive experiences with Summerhays' staff and products. The staff is always willing to work with the customer to find the best option. Just now I called to ask about trombone mouthpieces, and they invited me to come into the store to try out a couple on my horn. Couldn't be happier with their attitude and help.

The very best. I needed to take my clarinet in for servicing since I'll be playing at my father's funeral in a week. It hadn't been serviced since 2007. They worked with me on getting it back in time and getting me a clarinet so I could practice in the meantime. It was my first time here but I'll definitely be returning.

We are always so pleased with the service we get here. The staff is so friendly and they always have exactly what we need. The instrument we bought there is top quality and we are always happy with the price. This is a great place to shop for music needs small and large.

There is a wonderful selection of instruments, helpful and enthusiastic staff and wide variety of choices. The location is a little hidden but easy to access so use a map to understand where you going. If a critism must be said it is that the building needs a new layer of paint on the outside but that is nitpicking.

Beautiful store and large room with concert piano for playing! Missed hearing Lindy Kirby's playing, but great size (30-40 people) for music venues!!! GOT Lindy's Reflections of Eternity CD, great hopeful, positive piano playing!!!!!!!

Summerhays had always been a leader when it comes to musical instruments and musical accessories and such. They seem to have it all - including great pianos! The people who work there are very knowledgeable and helpful. I do miss the JW Pepper sheet music section!

Had what I needed in stock, unusual for Utah. Normally you have to order it.

Daughter's student cello was broken beyond reasonable repair. Andrew took the time to show us the different options for rentals or replacement. My daughter and I spent an hour and a half playing different instruments and discussing differences vs costs. The sales staff were great to answer questions, were patient and let us do our thing and make our decision.

A little bit pricy fur accessories but woth it. Good quality, knowledgeable people, good work. I've worked with them since the 80's. They her been a great school partner and helpful with my personal music supplies.

The service here is AMAZING! Each and every person makes sure to remember my face if not my name! I really appreciate how the guys in the shop made arrangements to fix my daughter's oboe at the last minute, and Estefan took care of my wife's violin on the spot! Great people all around!

I love this store. I brought in a bass to be fixed, as its bridge was in the wrong place and I wanted adjusters on it. A man named Christian helped me and he was very sweet, nice and gentle. He helped me to figure out what was wrong with the bass, and he told me what to they had to do to fix it. Melissa at the counter helped me to figure out all the costs, and I thought it was reasonable. When I came back in 2 weeks to get it, I was very happy. Everything was fixed and it sounded great. I loved the support and the people were extremely nice. They even helped my dad pick out a ukelele and he bought it! Kudos to Melissa and Christian, they were both very helpful and they are like instrument doctors!

Hands down the best place to rent and rent to own instruments. Love the harp room and that my daughter can go in and place her pieces. Love their knowledge.

I went to have my instrument restrung. I was impressed by the repair staff. They were friendly, knowledgeable and helpful. The repair was accomplished quickly and at a expected price.

You do not have to be a musician to love this place. It has everything...I mean everything. The staff is also very nice and helpful.

Summerhays Music is a great place to rent or buy a musical instrument. They also carry accessories, common band/orchestra music along with other popular method books and sheet music. Their instrument specialist are very knowledgeable and so friendly with no pressure to buy. They have a great repair shop and offer home and school delivery for renting/buying instruments which I have used many times. They have an amazing school support program and have made it very easy to get the instruments and supplied I need for my music program. They also offer a school rental nights at the school location even during COVID. They are so friendly to work with which is why I recommend them to my students.

High points: they applied the full purchase price of our starter piano when we traded it in on a nicer model a few years later. Low pressure salesman. Very helpful and informative staff. Nice selection of pianos.
Low points: has sort of a budget feel, though economy is a high priority for me. Both times I've purchased pianos here, they didn't simply come with a matching bench; had to haggle a little on that.

A wide variety of pianos and other classical instruments at reasonable prices. They also have a small music hall in the basement with good acoustics and a small stage.

Best music store in Utah! It has a wide selection of instruments, which makes tryout very easy and we have confidence in the purchase. If they don't currently have the model in stock, they are more than happy to order it in for tryout, no strings attached. We have rented and ordered multiple instruments and accessories from Summerhays. We also attended many of their awesome master clinics with star guests. This is also the place for our instrument maintenance and repair. One music store to rule them all!

I like how they have most instruments out of the cases so you can browse easily. I also attended a piano recital downstairs and the acoustics were great!

Brought in a Fender Starcaster acoustic guitar for new strings and a basic set-up. Polite, friendly and knowledgeable staff enthusiastically took charge and determined a swift course of action. After a quick thirty minute lunch, they called stating the instrument was ready. Under $15 and back to the tunes, in tune.

Best instrument rent to own experience. We've been coming here for three years now. Helpful service and awesome maintenance, damage, theft/loss coverage. They fixed my daughter's violin in an hour so it would be ready for her lesson first lesson that same day. Christian was so helpful!

Summerhays is awesome. For the second time we've taken a young grandchild here to introduce them to playing an instrument. Our oldest grandson left a number of years ago with acoustical guitar in hand and was soon learning to play both rock and classical. He went on to join a band and play the acoustical bass in middle school.

Today our 9 year old granson was introduced to the brass section. The salesman, Matthew, spent over an hour with our grandson. Our grandson left with trombone in hand and with the rudimentary introduction from Matthew came home, carefully assembled his new instrument and started playing identifiable notes.

Staff is helpful, they've got great options, good prices!
