What I liked: Friendly staff, quick service, and nice environment.

What can be fixed to get that five stars: The coffee was had a little of a burned taste and the cups were a little small. Not bad, just could have been better. Also, the eggs were just eggs, no toppings, no butter, no nothing. Lastly, who serves a pancake without butter? I would have taken butter over a half of strawberry.

Overall, I enjoyed the food, but there is room for improvement. I would eat here again, but I expected a little better based on the reviews from google.

After reading the glowing reviews here, my boyfriend and I decided to make the nearly 40 minute walk to Sweet E's from our hotel. The atmosphere was pleasant and the service was great, but I was honestly disappointed by the food. It was good, but it was nothing special. Tasted like a slightly better version of Denny's at best.

I very rarely write reviews for anything, but I wanted to leave my honest input so that other foodies vacationing in the area don't make the mistake of coming here when there's plenty other better places to eat at during their limited stays.

The food was amazing and the staff were all very nice. My sister and I split the Traditional Eggs Benedict and the Blueberry Stuffed French Toast and it was delicious and enough food to share. My dad got the Extreme Mess and my mom got the Banana Stuffed French Toast and they both enjoyed it. We also asked for the coconut sauce for the toast and it was delicious. You do have to bring your own alcohol, however they were super nice and brought out an ice bucket for our champagne that we used to make mimosas

"Sweet-E's" is aptly named. The atmosphere is cozy, the service is friendly and the food is delicious! The stuffed French Toast was sweet...but not sugar candy sweet...and very flavorful. Everything blended so well together that there was no need for syrup. If you're hungry at breakfast time, this will surely fill you up and keep you satisfied until or beyond lunch time. If not, you'll probably take half of it home...so that you can take your time and enjoy the creamy scrumptiousness.

The only thing we would ask to consider is to put blowers above the doors to keep the flies out.

Also, they will valet your car for a reasonable $3. But, if you're lucky enough to have a BFF whose other half is nice, he can drop you and the girls off so that no one has to miss out on the conversation when paying attention to the road!

The best service I ve ever had at a restaurant. This seems like a family run business in the best way - all the servers are helping you out and the food tastes home cooked. You can t go wrong with anything on the menu but make sure to get a blueberry cream cheese French toast. Coffee is always refilled. They know what they re doing here.

I absolutely loved this cafe! The croissant sandwich was delicious, and their waffles have both the perfect texture and perfect flavor, I didnt even need syrup! I love their bechside/ family vibe, and their bathrooms were also very clean, which I appreciate greatly. Definately the best brunch I've had on Honolulu.

It is the best cafe I've eaten so far. Very delicious and fresh food and super kind and well qualified staff. If you visit Honolulu it is a must visit place! We visited it twice during our 5 days stay on the island. I will definitely visit it again and recommend to all my friends. Five stars for the great service and hospitality.

Went around 1145am with my wife and our 2 kids. Wait was 15-20 mins there was 5 parties in front of us. Ordered Kalua pork eggs Benedict with fried rice, waffle, and Kalua omelette. Food came out in 10mins or so. The food was delicious. Prices are $7-$14 roughly so it's cheaper than most places considering it's location. Would definitely eat again.

This place was amazing! Had the Eggs Benedict with Kailua pork and the blueberry stuffed french toast, both were incredible. Highly recommend this spot if your looking for a great breakfast in Honolulu!

Set in a nondescript building between Kaimuki and Waikiki, near historic Leonard s, this buzzy brunch spot turns out quality dishes at affordable prices. The soundtrack is a mix of pop and mid-20th century folk and everything in between. The decor is a series of small framed photos of what one waiter described as friends and family. Which was refreshing in that it didn t attempt to be Hawaiian. I had the breakfast burrito, and it was easily one of the best I ve had on island - excited to come back and try some of their sweet French toast. The line seems long but moves quick, even at peak brunch times.

Good Lord is all I can say. The Eggs Benedict with corndbeef hash was beyond amazing. Best breakfast hands down in Waikiki. The staff is simply outstanding, coffee (really good) and water kept full the entire meal, personable and on-top-of their game!!! A bit of a wait but so worth it!!! Can't wait to eat here again.

Food is great not a bad price and the service is wonderful. Only thing I don't like is their lack of parking and it's so busy all the time unless you hit them in the last half hour...

The staff was friendly from the moment we walked in the door. The food was quick and delicious. I had a self picked omelette and they did not skimp on any of the fillings. The breakfast meals at our table were all delicious. The blueberry/cream cheese stuffed French toast was amazing.

CORN BEEF HASH EGGS BENNY, side of hash browns. Great flavor smh great customer service. Fully support local businesses especially in this covid era. You order inside and will deliver to you outside, food was fresh and delicious and definitely will be returning

I can't believe I've lived here this long and never tried this place. "Plesantly suprised" is how I would describe my experience. The servers are all well practiced and attentive. Food was delicious and prepared quickly. Great food, great service, fair prices. I'm going back

Amazing local restaurant with great food - came here as a tourist, off the beaten path, and was amazed. Granted, the furniture and the place look a little run down but it adds to the charm of this place - once you meet the super friendly staff and your yummy plate is served, you will forget about all of that. The "mess" plate was really great, the french toast with blueberries simply the way it has to be. The coffee is like what you would expect in such a charming place - maybe best avoided if you're a coffee expert. Overall: if you haven't been here, you haven't been to Honolulu.

First time here but saw the star rating. Been on the hunt for a good eggs Benedict. Waiters very attentive.

Perfect breakfast place. Comfy seating on the patio or inside. Staff is so friendly and helpful. We had the everyday breakfast with pancake and bacon and the corned beef Benedict with fried rice. Generous portions and ono food. Reasonable prices as well. We'll definitely be back.

Best breakfast spot on the entire Island! We came here 3 days in a row because there food was so delcious and fresh everytime. The first day we were in a rush since we had to drop off our friend at the airport and let the server know and they were super fast in getting us seated and our food arrived in 15mins. The service was super amazing and efficent. We got here before 9am and there were only 1 or 2 people already infront of us waiting for a table. My favorite dish was the omlette with hashbrowns. My husband got the corn beef hash and absolutely loved it. We also tried the french toast which was also delicous. Honestly cant go wrong with anything on their menu. Oh and loved the breakfast burriotto! The flavors were on point and they subed avocado for no meat.

Parking can be a little tight since they have like 5 spots in their lot but there is lots of streeting parking available.

This is my 3rd time here. 2nd time with my Son. After today, we will not be returning. The service just wasn't there today. Waiter who took our order, wasn't welcoming nor friendly. No smile, no 'Good Morning'. Right off the bat it wasn't a good positive vibe. Maybe because our waiter was also the host and table cleaner/wiper.

I ordered the Original Benedict with Fried Rice and my Son had the Chicken Pesto Omelette with potatoes and toast. Fried rice was dry. Hollandaise sauce was different from what I'm used too. It kind of reminded me of those cheese that you spray out of the cab. Potatoes were not a hit with my Son. One bite and that was it.

Half way thru my meal, I had asked for more coffee and regular sugar packets. Never happened. Nor were we checked on if everything was good.

I rated it 2 stars due to how quickly we got our meals. But if my Son tells me that he doesn't want to return, we won't.

We enjoyed a really pleasant dining experience here including some of the best drip coffee I've had on the island.

We came around 8am mid week so got parking out the front and walked straight into a table. The restaurant is really sweet and I love the dark and light wood with the family portraits on the walls.

The service was friendly and quick despite a full restaurant and noticeably all
Young men working out front which isn't something I've seen since I was head chef of a very well known Sydney breakfast joint that had an all male floor combined with an all female kitchen!

The menu is usual breakfast fare with the eggs benedict being a favourite of mine which I ordered along with waffles for our 15 year old.

The food came out fast and we dug in. The eggs were cooked well but the sauce disappointed as it tasted cheesy and not a traditional buttery sauce hollandaise . The muffin would have benefited from more time in the toaster also and like other local establishments, ground paprika was sprinkled on my eggs, which is totally unnecessary and is an Oahu practise that needs to cease for the sake of all our poached eggs!

The hash brown potatoes where the stand out item for me with our daughter loving her waffles.

We were feed and watered in about 45 minutes in total and left feeling pretty positive about this cute cafe.

Very cute little place. The dining area is actually huge even though it looks small outside.
All their servers are handsome guys, but they provide fantastic customer service.
Ordered an egg Benedict and also an omelette. They taste just like the way it supposed to be.
