Upon my visit on 2/15/19 I did not experience good service. I was a single person waiting to be seated a group of 3 came after me and was seated before me. When I did get seated one of the employees on his way out the door nonchalantly pointed inside seat yourself . I waited for him to come back in and asked where. He replied with a short response where did you want to sit... I said outside... then I sit at the spot he cleared and I was given a menu and for the next 20 minutes waiters just kept walking pass as if I m not sitting there . Then a different guy comes by and says do I want something to drink I said coffee... he brings it and then leaves for another 15 minutes I get the attention of a random waiter and asked if he could take my order... with an attitude he pulls out his not paid writes down my order... At this point I had enough and asked to speak to a manager and the waiter says there is no manager... it s managed by everyone... then another guy comes over to tell me how busy they are and that I m not being overlooked... I told him how they sat people before me and I m just sitting here waiting to be service mean while they are serving the other clients who are not BLACK. I m confused because money is green Regardless who s giving it...

The place is kinda dingy, but I feel like the best places usually are. They had a 20 minute wait, which was fine. We were seated & service was prompt and accurate. They sell their soft drinks in cans. I had the banana stuffed french toast and an order of bacon. I also tried their ham and their blueberry stuffed french toast. I wasn't a fan of the filling of the French toast, personally, but I understand how others could enjoy it. The ham was beyond delicious. It was salty, instead of sweet, which i appreciated. My husband had the kalua pork eggs Benedict with the fried rice, which he enjoyed. I'd definitely come back and try other things on the menu, because it's very reasonably priced, & again, the service is awesome.

After reading about how busy this place gets, I decided to come later in the day. I was not disappointed. Easy street parking on a Sunday afternoon, not an issue walking straight in and getting a table. The menu is simple but everything looks great. The breakfast burrito was amazing and super reasonably priced. I will definitely be visiting again whilst I'm here.

About 3 km from Waikiki. You can go by bicycle or on foot. Cars cost $ 3 for parking. Valet parking only.
We went on a rental bike and on the way back on foot. I arrived at 8:30, but I was guided to my seat immediately, but before 9 o'clock, my seat was buried in no time.
I felt that there were many local people.
The clerks were all very nice and cool men!
Service is fast and friendly.
I asked for the daily menu, Banana stuffed french toast with bacon and peanut butter. My husband asked for Blueberry and cream cheese stuffed French toast.
The daily French toast, the bacon is crisp, salty, and exquisitely matched to the fluffy sweet taste of the French toast, and it quickly flattened out! It was delicious!
It is a recommended place for a walk in the morning.

I had an epic breakfast burrito. The epic breakfast burrito was truly epic and I don't think any other breakfast burrito will come close to beating it. Hands down the best breakfast burrito I've ever had. Service was fast and the staff was friendly. 10/10 would go there again (and I did).

Good food. Decent prices. Friendly staff which happens to be all men, which I like since that's very rare. Only thing is they need to fix there outside awning so it don't leak when it rains.

I LOVE Sweet E's!! I've been going there for a few years now and it is hands down the best local breakfast place. The service is always great! Every time a friend comes to visit from the mainland, I make sure to bring them here and they are never disappointed!

Wow! A MUST EAT! We absolutely love this place!!! The food was excellent, coffee wonderfully strong, the atmosphere cozy and the staff friendly and personable.

Our only regret is that we didn't eat here sooner!

From the outside the place looks like a dive but don't let this fool you. The inside and bathrooms are very clean. The food is amazing. They were the best meals we had in all of Hawaii. You can tell that there is care put in to the prep and cooking. The staff is fast and very friendly. 6 stars if i could.

I went to this place half year ago and I was blown away by the food and service. The staff were so friendly and happy. So this time when I am back to Oahu, it's a no-brainer that I had to come to this place again . However, it was an disappointing experience this time. The guy who was taking care of our table was very rude. It looked like we owe him 1million dollars. No smile, no conversation, and even no "hi". He literally grabbed the menu from my hands when he took our order, and later literally threw our food on the table and stormed away. Never asked us whether we need more water or coffee. The quality of food also degrades.
Overall, this place was on my "must go" list before, and now it's just a mediocre cafe.

Food was pretty great. Had basically a breakfast skillet that turned out pretty well. The service was really amazing. All the wait staff were very friendly and very attentive. Every table was full and I had people coming by asking if I needed anything, if everything was ok. They were on their "A" game. I would love to come back!

Very friendly family friendly portions are on the larger side prices are very fair kitchen was quick but they did not rush us at all and we stayed and chatted while they were closing they closed at 2 pm and we were there till 215 with no rushing and no worries we will definitely return and I recommend them to everyone looking for a little of the Aloha Spirit

Highly recommend this place for people visiting. Great food, fast service, and great prices make this really hard to beat. It's only about a 6 min drive from the main strip near Waikiki beach, and totally worth it for how good the food is and how much cheaper compared to anything near the beach. Try the stuffed french toast!!

Their French Toast is to die for! Visited during the last day on the island and it was such an amazing farewell breakfast. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who visits a Oahu or even if you have a layover before flying to one of the many other Islands. The atmosphere is nice and they have an outdoor patio though the wait time can be considerable. Though it is most certainly worth it.

Excellent. Food and service is always great. A little loud at times, but that fits in with their relaxed, family atmosphere. They followed CDC guidelines, but were still able to give a friendly dining experience.

Giving it 5 stars for the food and the staff. As for the parking you are on your own. Street parking is an option, they DO offer valet service, and there is a little strip mall 1 block away that has ample parking. I did the local boar bennedict. Fantastic and the spanish stype potatoes were amazing. Like I saif food and staff? 5 stars

Food was just food. Nothing special at all. Service was the worse. We sat through out entire meal without as much as a cup refill or anyone checking on us. Waiters need training in customer service

The staff is very friendly and they treally care about the safety of their customers. Apart from great food, this place is very clean and the staff take extra precautions to avoid the spread of covd.

Second time here and the food and service was excellent both times. My son had the blueberry cream cheese stuffed French toast and he must've said "this is the best breakfast" about 20x during the meal. Like most breakfast places, there's always a line, but the seating was quick both times. Parking is a bit tricky here.

This is in Kapahulu

This is in Kapahulu
Locally popular cafe, breakfast and san.

After being included in the guidebook
It seems that Japanese customers are also increasing.

Especially on weekends, there are many locals
It is a large matrix.

It was crowded when we went.

I've been there twice in the past
I'm glad.

The menu is
Pancake, French toast, omelet, egg benedict etc.
there is.
Because there are many potions, it may be better to share and eat.

The atmosphere of the shop
Cute with a Hawaiian Kailua atmosphere.

Because there are not many seats
It's like a small breakfast in town.

It feels like American and Hawaiian fusion.

It is one of the shops I want to visit again because it is delicious.

This is a place that is easier for people who rent a car.

This place was recommended to us by a former native and I am glad we heeded the advice. It's away from the main streets of Waikiki and it's reflected in the lower prices of the meals. They have great Eggs Bennie and the omelettes we're good too. The walls are covered with family pictures and it's clear the place is family run. It's worth a trip away from the beach to eat here, but it's not a secret and expect a wait.

Amazing service and food! We were told it would be a 15 min wait (around 730am) and it was maybe 10. Coffee was always full, pineapple juice was amazing. We got the lox bagel and the kalua pork omlette and they were both amazing!!! Would definitely recommend. Parking lot is limited but there is street parking available nearby!

So yeah the food isn t half bad but if you want the worst service on the island come here. I have never received more attitude in my life. Asking for simple things such as napkins or coffee refill shouldn t be seen as a chore when I am a paying customer. Not only has this service spoiled my morning it s upsetting to be treated in such way. The coffee was spilled as it was being set without an apology and the check was thrown at us with such attitude. Worst experience, don t ever come here.

Yum!

Love this place, used to eat at Sweet E s all the time when I lived in town and they were still in the back of Kilohana Square. Would be nice if there were more plant-based/ vegan options on the menu.

Local style, local atmosphere. Informal setting with excellent breakfast menu. Generous serving portions. Enjoyed kalua pig in omelette and eggs Benedict. Delicious, very good wait service. Parking limited. However, on-street parking possible on weekdays. Parking may be challenging on weekends.

I went to the eleventh hour, and the parking lot was full. I think this is probably the best peak time I have ever been to.
During the meal, people passed out and after 12: I will be there by 2 pm.

It's an American brunch restaurant. Relatively less salty and less. It was the most delicious of the similar menus I had in Hawaii even though it was not a special menu or taste.
I ordered a Callaway pigeignet and pancakes, but if I had to share, I could split the Callaway Peak Benedict in half, so I could share it neatly one by one.

The staff is very kind, but it was a lot of people and it took me a while to get a seat on the outside terrace. There was a part where requests were delayed because it was difficult to see the employees.

I officially have a new favorite breakfast joint. This place is amazing. I read all the great reviews and decided to bring my wife here for breakfast while in Honolulu on vacation. When you see this place from the outside it doesn t look like much, but this isn t a book to judge by its cover. They have valet out front and they move cars in and out of their little parking lot like a big automotive puzzle. When you walk inside the interior is very bright and welcoming. The have plenty of natural light coming which makes it seem very open. There s patio seating and seating inside. The waiters all seem to work together and are completely on point. The menu is like Hawaiian diner style. I told the waiter to just pick something for me and make it a surprise and he brought me out the most delicious breakfast plate I can remember eating. It was called The Mess , but added corn beef to the top and covered it with Hollandaise. I also bright me me banana stuffed French toast. Not to mention they have great coffee. I can t say enough about this place. If youre visiting the area this is a must stop for breakfast or brunch.

It appears to be such a cute place considering all the photos people have taken here... don t be fooled folks the menus have coffee stains on them, and the PACKETS of sugar look like they ve been through a rough time too... and explain to me why ONE waffle, (no extra pizzazz or anything) tastes like something you could ve whipped up at home (don t know why I didn t...) Also tried the burrito, ended up being unseasoned. Expected better from a place in hawaii, ain t like it s idaho so I expected a bit of seasoning.

Service was very quick and friendly. We sat outside and the volume was low and calm. We had both the kalua pork and corned beef eggs benedict and both were absolutely amazing and highly recommended. Plus make sure to try the blueberry/cream cheese stuffed French toast. You will not be disappointed.

Blueberry stuffed french toast and corn beef egg Benedict were good. I also really liked the coffee there. Unfortunately, the service did not meet my expectations. There was only one waiter serving 10 tables by himself.

This is my go-to place for breakfast. Their waffles are wonderful, especially with fresh fruit. The fresh fruit really is just that... Fresh! The service is good and we go early to avoid the lines. It is very popular for a reason. Their food is good, their service is good, their servers our friendly. I highly recommended it. I shouldn't, though, because that just means it will get even MORE crowded. Hahaha

Fantastic breakfast joint in downtown Honolulu with good family culture. Great friendly service, fast meal delivery, superb food! Fair prices for the area also The stuffed French toast is stupid good! There s comfortable Inside or outside seating. Parking can be a bit tough but welcome to downtown in the biggest city on the islands.

The food was really great! The service was alright. Our server kinda forgot about us and we ended up with another one who apologized for the inconvenience. Also, kinda thought it was weird that there were only male servers. Kinda didn't help that our entire table overheard a server tell his table the reason for the all male team was because girls bring too much drama. That kind of brought the mood down.
