Could be nice to eat here if you're seeing a show later that night, but there's more authentic options for BBQ in Austin (Terry Black's).

Lunch was great, 2 meat minor platter, with a salad (that was awesome). Server was very nice and efficient.

Omg, I've been using this Bbq sauce for years, but now the BBQ restaurant blows your mind, the food is fast, service is excellent and food is out of this world.

I'm from Maine, and this was a bucket list item for my Brother, so we went for lunch while vacationing in TX. The atmosphere was cool, people were friendly, and the food was great! The history of Famous individuals that have performed there makes it very cool! I'd love to come back at peak season and catch a concert at the amphitheatre... I'm sure that is quite an awesome experience!

Weather for the Austin beer and Music Festival, literally had some of the worst beer ever tried in my entire life. The venue itself was good it was open and spacious, but they shouldn't have book so many tickets.
It was elbow to elbow, and uncomfortable waiting inline 4 not so great beer. The pear cider was phenomenal.
Elsie's egg rolls, one of the food trucks that was there was amazing, I've never had a grossed so good in my whole life.

The wife and I were traveling cross-country and decided to stop in Austin. Coming from Atlanta - we had seen Stubb's Barbecue Sauce in grocery stores there...and was curious about this place. We dropped by just after 1PM during the week. There was no wait at all which was nice. We ordered the Brisket Sandwich Plate & the Chopped Beef Plate. Each plate came with 2 sides...so there was ample food. French fries appeared (and tasted) like they were cut in-house...nice. Service was good & the place was clean. Apparently they have live music at times during the week which is nice as well. Certainly not the best BBQ we've ever had - but it was respectable!

Service was not great over price for same food I can get at any other BBQ place my server was not attentive

Delicious! Pulled pork, brisket, Mac and cheese shells, as well as spicy Serrano cheese spinach. Definitely recommended!

Fantastic bbq. Can understand why it's so famous! They do not disappoint, the fried okra was great as well.

Loved it. Don't know if there are better places, where locals go. But delicious. Within walking distance of the convention center.

My wife and I just went to hear live music, not to eat. Good venue for live music (a sound guy who actually knows what he's doing), though don't expect to sit down--it's a stand-up-and-groove kind of place. (The live music venue is downstairs from the restaurant, so it's kind of a separate deal.)

Not the best Bar-B-Q in Austin, but maybe one of the best venues for it. Also a great place to catch a concert in their outdoor venue.

The food was fair, the bartender was not so nice or hospitable maybe because she is pregnant. I intially went to Franklin's but the wait was over 2 hours so I headed to Stubbs. The food is nothing memorable at all, but it was nice to be able to walk in and eat without having to wait for barbecue. Everything was just ok. I will say I have seen the barbecue sauce in the stores and will purchase because it was pretty decent. It is not the original Stubb's barbecue rather a marketable generic version using his likeness.

This business has gone too far. They do not get to to do medical testing on me. If their stance is to make it mandatory, then I will no longer frequent your establishment.

After initial service issues (due to the several thousand people at the entertainment venue), the food was amazing and the plates were massive!

Love this place burt it does get crowed easily for popular shows.

The security manager hooked us up, I was on crutches & concerned about being at a show, but the staff was terrific about their accommodations for us!!

Good quantity and the ribs were "fall off the bone", but taste was lacking. Had the Major with Beef brisket, ribs and pulled pork.

Great intimate outdoor music amphitheatre with a rustic feel, good sound, not pretentious. Fair prices for drinks and food. Loved the Lord Huron show.

I've been buying their BBQ sauce from HEB for years and had no idea there is a restaurant behind it! Sure enough the restaurant was as good as the sauce.

If you are looking for the best brisket in town, this isn't it. If you are coming here for some decent food before a concert, this is the right place. Expect a long wait for a table and mixed drinks quality you would expect from a college bar.

Iconic smokehouse and live music venue. In Austin? Don't miss Stubbs.. And take a few sauces and rubs home with you.

I would give the music venue a 5. Awesome place to see an artist play. I think its pretty unique to enjoy a bank (who was playing at ACL no less) outdoors, with plenty of space, and surrounded by ample vendors. No wait for beer at all. Cool intimate venue.

The restaurant gets a 3. Food is ok, can find better bbq elsewhere.

Worst Service I ever had ! Waiter was more interested in getting a tip from other tables not Hispanic ! The food was ugh ! Meat was too burnt ! Even the bar drinks were weak ! The only thing good was the bread . I was really excited to go here but totally disappointed !!!!! Never Again !!!!

The vibe of Stubb's is good. Service was great and the music was perfect. Unfortunately, it should be known for outstanding BBQ, of which, it was a let down. Tried a bit of the brisket, chicken and pork ribs. Certainly surprised there was More

This is a fun place to catch live music, but the BBQ is just mediocre at best. If you are catching a live band at the amphitheater outside, you can always get a great spot up near the front by simply walking underneath the stairs and stopping on the edge of the cement by the speakers.

Didn't get tickets to see your favorite band at Stubbs? There's a parking garage across the street which people will congregate on the top level of during some shows, since you can usually hear perfectly (and people will brownbag beers).

This place is apparently an Austin institution. Gospel all you can eat brunch on Sunday is very good. You have to stand in line to be seated but it moves quickly. There is a room dedicated to making your owb margaritas. But they are NOT included in the price of brunch and they add up quick.

The brunch includes both BBQ and traditional brunch items. The lines move fast.

Its a brunch so not much service needed. But what is there is friendly and good.

Building itself is charming in an Old Texas way.

Not sure but I think the neighborhood gets a little dicey not too far from here so if coming at night be careful.

We had a wonderful time here! We went for Fathers Day. The mimosas were AMAZING!!!! The buffet they had was surprisingly good and the Gospel group singing was outstanding. Would definitely recommend!

Frickin delicious. Brisket was amazing, beans were amazing, sauces were amazing.

I went to Stubb's for a concert. The venue is so intimate! It was nice to see a band on such a small stage. The drinks were not expensive and the whole crowd was great. The staff worked really swiftly to get us drinks and ensure our happiness during the show. I didn't love that the door to the smoking area was open and smoke filled the whole place but it didn't make me rate Stubb's any lower.

Hands down WORST tasting BRISKET IN AUSTIN! #WorstBBQ Tastes like chemicals! Good riddance!

Decent food but nothing spectacular. There's better bbq in Austin.

Uhhh, it's amazing.... definitely try the Brisket, ribs and jalapeno sausage. You can't go wrong and you get the benefit of table service here where you don't at Terry Black's.

We enjoyed the Gospel Brunch, though buffet food was not hot, just warm, likely partly because it was so cold outside.

I have never been there because I live in FL. But he has the best bbq sauce I have ever tasted especially the sticky & sweet flavor.

Food was really good. We tried Franklin..but they ran out of food while we were waiting in line. I heard it happens alot, but it worked out because Stubbs was really good and seems to have a much better atmosphere. I heard their Sunday brunch is good also.

Really good barbecue. I mostly go for the live music. They host some really awesome bands. The main stage is outdoors, so bad weather can interrupt a show but that's really the only downside. The indoor stage is pretty cool for smaller shows.

As a BBQ joint, pass-upable. As a music venue, one of the biggest in the city and one of the best for outdoor shows. There are few bad places to stand for viewing the band and sound is excellent everywhere. Line to get in moves quickly and they added a huge port-o-john area so bathroom stops are easy, if not welcoming. One drawback, the grounds are sloped diagonally to the left of stage so you're always adjusting for one leg lower than the other. I've seen so many bands here over the years, from B-52s to Public Enemy to Soul Coughing to King Gizzard, it has always been an awesome venue.
