Came to see Passenger. Staff was amazing. I am mobility impaired, and I was made to feel welcome and valued. The food has always been amazing, but the people are Stubbs' greatest asset.

The brisket was good, but not *WOW*. The sweet tea was wonderful. Most disappointed in the coleslaw. Do not get the coleslaw. Don't know if I was served plain sausage or if their jalapeno sausage just has no spice. ??? My bride enjoyed her chopped brisket sandwich.
The venue feels like a giant party in a backyard with an incredible sound system
Went here to see rex orange county, and the venue was nicely put. Very beautiful venue. Great experience. I'm not sure about the food because I've never been to the restaurant
I WENT THERE LAST YEAR IN NOVEMBER TO CELEBRATE MY FRIENDS BIRTHDAY. WE REALLY ENJOYED OUR VISIT AND FOOD TOO!
Not my favorite place for barbeque. Brisket was tender butt flavorless. Pork ribs were a little tastier. Stubbs has great sauce to cover up the lackluster meat. Music is much better than the food. Waitstaff was great and on top of things.
I think resting on its laurels. Not happy last visit.
The meat has no flavor and everything is pink including the chicken.
Such a great venue for concerts, bbq and booze. I saw two concerts here for my bday month and highly enjoyed both. I love the outside amphitheater. Naturally the drinks are a little high in price but I was really glad they had my Austin Eastcider since I'm not a beer fan. Also, got to try the pulled pork and it was pretty damn good, though anything is after enough drinks! I look forward to coming here again for my next show :)
Always a great time when you get to eat some BBQ before catching a show. Lines go quick for getting in, and there are plenty of spots to get a drink quick within the venue during a show.
Made even more enjoyable because we saw local band made good here - Big Thief. Ace. kids tried the BBQ and enjoyed and I enjoyed the excellent selection of beers. Probably the highlight of our really enjoyable trip to Austin.
We ventured to Stubb's for dinner because it was just down the street from our hotel. To be honest, the BBQ was just okay, nothing to brag about. They do have live music and a huge patio area which is probably nice in the summer.
I can't tell you much about the food, but I can tell you a lot about the concert scene. I've seen a few bands here: Story of the Year, Flyleaf, The Script, etc. and the ambiance is great. It can get a little cozy in the audience, but it is definitely worth the concert environment. You won't be disappointed and being outside creates a different vibe than many of the indoor venues.
I've had my fair share of B-B-Q coming from the Conroe/Huntsville area. I got to say, Stubbs is actually better than anything I can find near me. The meat has really nice flavors and the brisket will fall apart in your hands. It really doesn't get any better. Even the macaroni and potato salad was full of flavor where I might normally not care much for it. They serve beer which was good but kind of pricey (as is anything in Austin). This was the 2nd time I came here and both times were good. The only thing i'm docking this place for is the waiter was kind of rude. When we asked if they had local beers like Austin Beerworks, he seemed annoyed that I could even ask such a stupid question. Then he asked if we want IPA, Lager, or something like that. I guess I was too specific for his liking. Then when he brought us food he was very short with us. We barely saw him really. Dude needs a new career if he's gonna have to smile and serve people all day.
Excellent pecan pie and the chicken too. But outdoor eating was HOT and not excited about the privy...
Great place to see a concert. In Desperate need of getting some real bathrooms
Barbeque sauce was very good, the original sauce is a tangy one that has a slight vinegar taste and is really good. All the meats were very tender.
I had the opportunity to have a great late lunch at Stubb's This is my first time in Austin. I really enjoyed the brisket and pulled pork. It was a real fun place to eat at and the staff was very friendly. When I come back again I'll be sure to drop by.
Some of the best brisket I've ever eaten
The server was aware of food allergies and cross contamination.
Gospel Brunch was fantastic. Everything was great, fresh cut fruit, amazing brisket, and the green enchiladas- out of sight!!!!! Did I mention the mimosas..I love this place. Make sure you make reservation if you want to see the band or arrive early.
Okay Q, given the location; a friendly staff delivering good service. If you re there grab a quick bite; but there s better Q in town and better locations. The vagrant crowd outside does detract a bit from the experience.
Great classic Austin BBQ & live music venue. The BBQ is Texas style; all the meat is above average but the ribs I had were fantastic
Great music venue. They run it very loud to project in the outdoor space so think about your ears. The BBQ though is kind of plain!
What is not to like. Stubb's draw some big name national bands and singers, great bbq and laid back atmosphere.
Friendly and fast service with average smoked meat. The meat was not very warm. The flavor is okay but the onion rings were saugy and not flavourful.
First night in Texas we found this place online and decided to go! BEST CHOICE ever, meat is just amazing, staff was so very friendly and good price! I was so pleased with the food, extremely tasty, left the restaurant with extra 3kgs
Really good BBQ. Loved the atmosphere. Excellent service. A bit pricey for this place but all around really good.
The BBQ is pretty decent, but music venue is divine.
Very delish!! Awesome service!! Definitely will be back
Decent bbq, the sweet tea is amazing. Great place to see a band. The outside venue is one of the best in Austin IMO.
If it's a genuine Texan BBQ experience you want, you won't be disappointed.
My family and I enjoy dining in this place from time to time, when I'm tired of doing all the cooking at home. The food and the atmosphere are great. The service is a bit slow over the weekends when there are a lot of people, but otherwise we never had any problems with this restaurant.
Great venue for a concert. Drive by Truckers were incredible.
Great BBQ! We were at Stubb's on a Tuesday night with a party of four. The service was good and the staff was friendly.
There was live music downstairs but there was a cover charge to go listen down there.
The food was all very good. My only criticism would be that the menu is a little bit limited.
During the SXSW we visited Stubbs BBQ in the evening to get something decent from the grill. The store was overcrowded and full of tourists due to the SXSW, which somewhat undermined the flair of the store. In itself, the restaurant is nicely decorated and we were served friendly. We naturally ordered from the grill and took a triple portion of meat in our megalomania. We chose a bit of everything (beef, pork, chicken) and were thrilled. The meat was excellently seasoned and prepared and of course we couldn't do everything. In terms of price, you can't complain about the size of the portion and the quality and were there with $ 17 per person. I would visit the shop again, but not necessarily during a major event.
Damn good ribs! And this is a Kansas City kid. Great bbq!
It was okay. Food was good but nothing that you cant get anywhere else. Was hoping for a bit more.
Stubbs is a great music venue - I only had a few snacks, but they were tasty.
Barbecue full of flavor and the mac and cheese is delicious!!!
Amazing BBQ and staff were super friendly and quick to take order.
Stubb's BBQ is a tourist BBQ stop as you can find their BBQ sauce nation wide, but the sauce isn't great and the BBQ is way below average for Austin standards. I gave Stubb's 3 stars for the scene and the music venue as it's one of the best (if not best) concert venue in town. If I was reviewing purely based on the barbecue Stubb's would be rated one or two stars. See below for the BBQ joints you should actually go to.
For BBQ go to:
1. LA Barbecue
2. Franklin's
Some decent BBQ with a good selection. Just a bit pricey for what you get.
Good overall. I went there for the cornbread and it was a little dry and not as sweet as I was looking for but still good cornbread. Brisket wasn't anything special but it was good and better with their bbq sauce. Jalapeno cheddar sausage was one of the better ones that I've tried. The Okra was good. My favorite part was the ribs. I ate at the bar and service was quick and friendly.
This place is a great concert venue with pretty good barbecue
Amazing food prepared by fantastic people! and be sure to catch a show there! Love the venue and the atmosphere, topped with the best bbq in Austin... Must dooooo
Saw Frank Turner. It was awesome. Great outdoor venue, safe large w plenty of space and it was very easy to see the stage and band even way in the back. Great show, great staff and Frank Turner and the sleeping souls killed it! Awesome show. I'll be back for more
Salad wasn't cold, meat wasn't hot, the French fries were luke warm and soft, and the corn bread was dry and cold. The chicken sandwich was good, but the spare ribs were a very low quality meat. The ribs were rubbery and every bite came with pieces of fat and stringy tendon. The server was good but the menu seemed to fail at executing the basics and the restaurant was very loud. Overall quite a let down.
Got their catering for an event, and they were amazing to work with! They were on time, everything heated and fresh, and very helpful and friendly staff! Will be working with them again soon!
Went with a large group and they treated us well. Bbq was good, beer selection good.
Huge venue. Great place for concerts. Can't speak for the food but heard it's awesome.
Don't expect anything like the Stubb's sauce in the stores. I learned late two different things. Was looking for Austin BBQ flavor. This was so greasy your BBQ was swimming in it on the tray! If you like a little meat with your grease then this is your place.! The server was great! The bathrooms were horrible and down in the dungeon! Save your stomach!
Nice folks and great Q get the two meat meal brisket and ribs
The first thing I want to say is the sweet tea was so on point! It is hard to find sweet tea that is sweet but not too sweet and they nailed it! I had the chicken sandwhich plate with potato salad and mac n cheese...and I have to say it was pretty damn good! The staff was very attentive and made sure I got everything I needed. I would definitely go back. The only thing I would say that wasn't so great was the price, but it's Austin, where everything is expensive.
Great shows seen here regularly .
Including my new favorite nathaniel Ratliff and the night sweats.
xlnt service from friendly staff. a/c works good on a steamy day. bbq is decent, but expensive for serving size and quality. ff were really crispy. enjoyed our dinner and concert after. steven marley and mattisyahsu were xlnt despite 100 degree temps. would like to see better enforcement of smoking rules. actually had to leave early overcome with cigs, cigars, splifs and who knows what else. kudos to the guy who gave lynne water and a chair when she was feeling overcome with heat. appreciated that.
Amazing concert venue! Really enjoyable venue and concert!
Iconic Austin eatery and music venue, the food leaves a little bit to be desired for the price point considering there are countless better bbq places in Austin. The outside venue has a lot of cool bands though and is generally pretty fun especially during SXSW.
If you're just looking for food though, look elsewhere.
Visited Stubb's for the first time about a week ago. This place is great. It's outdoors so be prepared to sweat in the warmer months also be prepared to use porto-potties. But the beer is cold, the BBQ is delicious, the sound quality is excellent and the atmosphere is tons of fun.
Overall a very good place to eat, but expensive. Almost Everything I ate was delicious except the desserts. We had a large table abs so we got to try all of the desserts, and the banana pudding and peach cobbler were pretty bland. The apple dessert was excellent. Overall very good food and ambiance, but for me not worth the price.
