We had the weekend seafood buffet. This was the best buffet I've been to anywhere in the Poconos. The atmosphere is very pleasant and cordial.

I was there for there Christmas tree lighting ceremony and it was amazing the amount of work and detail that went into all of the activities and shows for the kids was amazing

We had our ceremony and reception at Terraview on 08/18/18. It was a wonderful day, beautiful place, and the rain held off for our ceremony! The food was amazing and our guests would not stop talking about it. Stroudsmoor went above and beyond for the entire bridal party that day. I honestly do not think they could improve on anything! Thank you Anna and the rest of the team!

Great place for weddings and corporate functions. I recently attended a wedding there and I had a great no fabulous time. The staff was awesome to be around and to interact with. The setting is spectacular. Come see the Poconos!

They made my sister's wedding absolutely perfect! The maitre d's were rockstars and had everything she needed including nice, cold drinks when appropriate :)

Unfortunately, our day was ruined because of staying at this place. The overpriced tiny room could be maintained much better. It was impossible to have an appropriate night sleep because of the awfully loud radiator noise. The mattress was also not of the best quality and uncomfortable. When we presented the issues to the Inn's reception, they were not helpful and rude suggesting that we were lying. By the way, the food was not of a good quality either, we felt awful after eating. There was no way we would have breakfast there (even though it was included). This place is highly overpriced for this kind of facilities ($310) and has unprofessional customer service. Thanks God, we found Cherry Valley Manor BB and were able to enjoy the rest of the stay. The service at Cherry Valley was superb with a scrumptious homemade breakfast, unique decor, top of the line jacuzzi and a pleasing mountain view. We ended up relocating from the bunker (Stroudsmoor Inn) to the Palace (Cherry Valley).

Great venue for the baby shower. Servers were terrific...very helpful to me ( I use a wheelchair). The food was really delish with a very nice presentation.

Fabulous Thanksgiving Dinner! Best ever holiday buffet ... selection & quality, add on special holiday cocktails and attentive and courteous staff ... Kudos to the Stroudsmoor Country Inn!

Nice treat for yourself every so often. The food is quality and the service has always been great for us. Only negative is, we definitely over indulge while dining here!

This place is legit. I'm a techie and I like my fair share of amenities, but this is the Poconos. Go outside.

As an all-inclusive place to do weddings/formal events there are many many reasons why different websites keep on giving this place awards. Staff, food, facilities were all outstanding. The fact that everything and everyone needed for an event like a wedding is already in house or on a short list makes planning very easy. If you just let these people do their job, they will let you enjoy your event and take care of every last detail for you.

Was there for Christmas event. All was amazing except for employee who didn't understand where the line for Santa was and spoke to my wife in an unprofessional manner. Overall would recommend.

I held a family brunch here, and I loved it! The cozy atmosphere makes you want to grab a hot cup of coco and sit next to the fire. The food was amazing! They had everything you could imagine and more! (Too many choices?) And everything was delicious! The service was great! Twice, people came up to me, while I was walking around and asked how I was doing and if there was anything I needed. All-in-all, an amazing experience. Would recommend!

Brunch was as good as ever. Woman who answered the phone was not the most helpful.

I've been to Stroudsmoor over the years and haven't been in at least 5 years....have to say.... quality has gone down and food was bland and portions much smaller and they have a bigger price tag. Not sure it's worth the $ anymore....sorry to say....

I had my wedding at the Stroudsmoor and what can I say other than it was beautiful. I worked with Victoria who was always accommodating. She was always welcoming, pleasant and knowledgeable. My wedding was planned quickly and they were all up for the task. I absolutely loved it here and would recommend. The food was delicious. The atmosphere amazing. It rained on my day but it still looked like a fairy tale. -Evelyn Robles

Needs to be a little more intergrated when it comes to staff. I was unable to see the living space but the grounds look beautiful.

Stroudsmoor Country Inn was a very nice place. It was well landscaped and maintained. I was there for a wedding, at the lawnhaven side (apparently there are more than one wedding venues here). The service was good, and the staff very polite and fun. The only thing that I have against it is layout. The bathrooms were located in the same area as the bridal suite... so there were times that you basically had to just wait, for extended periods of time because the space was occupied by the wedding party. I would think they would have done a better job locating another bathroom somewhere outside where the wedding party would be. It's an odd quirk, but it's inconvenient.

I would like to update this review to say that Andy reached out to me early this morning. He acknowledged the problem and apologized. Immediately issued a refund and invited us to come again as his guest. THIS IS AN EXAMPLE
OF GREAT CUSTOMER SERVICE. IF I have occasion to visit here again I would give them another try as it is a beautiful place.you have a special or important occasion please do not count on the Stroudsmoor Inn. I made a reservation for 13 for my mother's 65th birthday. I was charged 50 dollars to hold my reservation. Imagine my surprise when my family was told we would have to be seated at two different tables. The reason I made a reservation and paid in advance was to sit together. The manager was condescending and would not admit they made a mistake. Only after we said we were planning to have a 50 th anniversary event there and they now lost our business did they miraculously say we can push tables together. Of course we left. I guess they missed the old adage, "The customer is always right." My mother was very upset as we all travelled for this celebration. We had to order pizza because we were unable to find a restaurant to seat 13 WHICH IS WHY I MADE A RESERVATION! Also they delete unfavorable reviews FYI.

I was there as a wedding photographer, so it was a great venue to that extent. The property was well kept, the decorations tasteful and not overbearing. The rustic feel felt natural and not overdone.

Always enjoy the Friday night seafood buffet at the very charming Stroudsmore Country Inn!

Very pretty there except going to your rooms very steep hill, to climb to get up to your room. Scenery is gorgeous in the spring and summer.

My daughter and son-in-law just got married July 20, 2018... WOW! Woodsgate was the venue and the staff were absolutely amazing and very attentive.. I would recommend this venue for any celebration. Everything ran smooth and the food was fantastic with no worries of not having enough. Thank you Amy, the wedding coordinator and the rest of the staff. All guests are amazed with the wedding and had a fantastic time

At $14.00 for a martini, I would expect the bartender to know how to make a ROB ROY, not manhatten style, but dry vermouth,as requested. I should have sent it back, but instead we won't be going back again.We used to be frequent guest in the past, but with the change in Menu at high prices and poor selections, its so over.

Stroudsmoor is one of the finest places I have ever eaten at. The staff is friendly, the food is fresh and the memories last a lifetime. Whether it is a wedding, Thanksgiving or Easter Sunday, this place is a phenomenal experience. You eat like royalty and get treated as such.

As a wedding guest, pleasantly surprised by the food but service was a definite fault.

The room was fairly clean, however I found a live bug in my bed which was pretty disturbing, possibly may have come from outside as I came in. The only food I had was breakfast and while the food is not the best the service is very friendly and good. The pillows were also a bit uncomfortable for my preference, they felt like springs were inside them. The scenery is beautiful however, but I would not come back. Good as a one time experience though.

We ate at Stroudsmore Country Inn Restaurant for their dinner seafood buffet. The atmosphere is outstanding and effectively creates an experience of rustic luxury. The food was good but not great. While it was about what I would expect of a buffet out of season, the price was not. I thought the price was a little too high considering the quality of the food and other options in the area.

Very enjoyable stay. Room was clean and comfortable. Bathroom was small but it is a country inn and not a hotel so I wouldn't say it detracted from my experience. Breakfast was very good as well. I plan to come back and stay longer.

Room was VERY small, perfect for a midget. It was super outdated, no room to store anything, would not recommend over Hampton inn etc.

Beautiful place and setting but when the host asked to take the leftovers home they wouldn't give it to them because they gave it to the workers.....

The location was beautiful located on one of the slopes of the Poconos and the check in process was pleasant. We stayed in one of the cottages which had double Queen beds. The cottage was nice, beds were comfy, and the bathroom was adequate. Water pressure wasn't great but it wasn't terrible. Private balcony seemed nice but it was too cold to use. No lotion provided which kinda sucks. Beautiful common spaces with decent sized pool and nice hot tub (especially after a day falling down the slopes). They don't have hot breakfast on Sundays which also kind of sucks. Continental breakfast was decent. Overall a great place to stay close to Shawnee mountain.

Outside of the somewhat comfortable beds... The food , staff, scenery, this place is absolutely wonderful... The wedding venues are breathtaking and the views from the venues makes it magical...

Was only there for a wedding most of it was all pre-planned service was okay

We got married at Stroudsmoor Country Inn in the summer of 2016. We booked the venue two years ahead of time and worked with our wedding planner, Linda Forte, throughout the two years. Linda and her team were very thorough and courteous throughout the process. Like many other couples, we were new to the process. It was great to be made aware of all options but not to be pushed into any particular choices. While the venue has all types of vendors in-house, we were able to get our own vendors for services that we felt the venue was unable to meet our expectations in.
We had 100~ guests who attended the wedding at the Woodsgate Chapel at the Inn. We used the in-house services for all of our catering needs, most of our floral needs, and some of our housing needs as well. Service was outstanding in all areas. We had to work with the venue to negotiate the floral arrangements for our needs since the costs were too high as quoted, and this was facilitated by Linda herself.
My fiance and I met with vendors at the venue, even some vendors who were not in-house folks. We hired an outside makeup artist, photographer, DJ, videographer, and rented a horse through the DJ as well. We also created our own guestbook, table numbers, escort cards, and photo booth setup.
We checked into our suites the day before our wedding and were greeted with the utmost sincerity and generous attitudes throughout the day. Before the rehearsal we dropped off all of our wedding props, table numbers, escort cards with the wedding planner. She was so kind to even assemble and fold some things that we didn't have time to do ourselves. We did our rehearsal, had a rehearsal dinner at the main inn and relaxed in our suites that night.
We had an outside ceremony planned and even though the skies looked ominous, we were heartened by the backup plans that Linda had prepared. She was also very supportive and never pressured us to make any decision about a rain call. We did that two hours before the ceremony, and that didn't even impact our backup plans! The venue just wanted to know where to put the flowers, and the backup venue was set up just in case. We could not have been happier about this arrangement.
Our big day went off without any issues. The staff were amazing, the food was great, the flowers were beautiful, and the skies - while not controlled by the venue - held off on the downpour until we had moved indoors for our reception.
The bridal suite was wonderful, and a great brunch followed at the main inn the next day where we were able to get a table with our remaining guests on a priority basis even though we had not planned the brunch in advance. The staff a the main inn were wonderful - once again.
We are so happy that we chose Stroudsmoor Country Inn for our wedding. We are already thinking of returning for our anniversary!

DISASTER!
I am extremely glad I didn't stay here myself. I am in a wedding party where one of the bridesmaids is staying here. Paying at $300/night her room lost electricity and the inn did nothing to accommodate her and her husband. The bride was having a crisis and was unable to reach her because her phone wasn't charged due to the electricity loss and stink bug infestation. This brides maid ended up coming to my hotel that I was staying at (quality inn Poconos east stroudsburg )The wedding planner (short with black hair) was extremely inconsiderate to a member of the wedding party who was handicapped . We had two women fall down slippery steps and the wedding planner still expected the handicapped man to walk down them too. They are extremely rude I do not recommend this place at all.

tess is everything. the most wonderful woman i ve ever met, I hope to be reunited one with her one day. her service was impeccable, i d trust her with my children if I had some.

The Stroudsmoor did a wonderful job hosting my wife's baby shower. My wife loved the food for the brunch, as well as the cake. The bonus was having the Stone Room for the party which had easy access for our mothers who have mobility issues.
