The Saturday night buffet was good not great as it used to be. The food was over salted which is a way to make things appear to be flavorful. The creamed asparagus soup smelled wonderful but after just one taste I put it aside because it was much too salty. Main meals were also good but as I said not great especially for the price of the meal. Service was great and the waitress was attentive and welcoming.

Gorgeous but pricy. Didn't get to taste the food yet but the staff is very helpful, even working with meeting with us when they had no power in the area and no internet in the building.

Beautiful estate. Gorgeous venue for weddings and special events. Historic. Welcoming staff. Nice and quiet.

Daughters wedding. The staff were the best that you could ever ask for. The facility and building was Beautiful. I can not say enough Fantastic things about Ryan and his staff. Very highly recommended this for weddings!!!

Great atmosphere, the facilities are first class with spectacular views.

The bartender was very rude and didn't have the proper ingredients for the drink I ordered. The wait staff was sub par to say the least. She forgot our drinks during the cocktail hour and avoided us for most of the evening. When I asked her about our drinks her response was "Oh, that was your table." No apology, no trying remedy the situation. The food was mediocre and the entire menu changed from what was originally offered. And finally, our room had moisture problems only had full size beds, I assumed it would be queen sized beds from what they were charging. Overall, I wouldn't recommend a stay, visit or to have your wedding there.

I came here to check out the facilities for a potential wedding. Everyone there was courteous and professional. Even though we did not book there, it still left a marking impression and I would recommend it to many.

was there for friends wedding I was in and was with my gf.The room was very small and bed clearly was old and uncomfortable. Only I outlet in entire room. Breakfast is TOPNOTCH but only part we enjoyed. Power went out overnight and was super hut and no shower before checkout. And thegiftbasket from the bride and groom that they were supposed to give members of the bridal party wasnt in our room which we didn't know unit the next morning seeing the rest of party with them, asked the stiff and they claimed no responsibility playing like they had no part of putting them in the rooms before check - in!

And there were a ton of mosquitoes and buss be you're in the woods that come in the cabin and bite all night just by opening door to move luggage in! Did I mention it is only analog ba sic cable with 12 channels? No HDMI or HD available to use laptop to watch movies, no reception for cellphones and wifi was either not there or didnt work,

The wedding and food were very good though al great views and spots. Would go back for breakfast if in the area

Shower didn t work, attendant didn t wear mask over nose, was out of date. Definitely the worse hotel I ve stayed at.

Dated decor. Small bath rub. Beautiful grounds. Checked in at 1 a.m Couldn't find our reservation. Very frustrating after 16 hours of driving. Not easy to social distance at continental breakfast.

The hors d'oeuvres and the meal were fantastic. Attention to detail and the holiday decorations were both top-notch.

The food and staff were execlent the venue was beautiful and rustic the only complaint was that the hotel has no indivual heat for tje rooms and the beds were extremely uncomfortable.

Nice rooms, helpful staff. Provided a fridge when we needed one even though our room didn't have one.

Pros: Lovely location and pretty grounds Large Room suite was clean. Room had a private screened in porch. Room had a coffee maker and small refridge. Service staff were all very happy, pleasant and helpful. Buffet Breakfast included in price of room which was hot and had decent variety.

Cons: We wanted to stay at a nice location in the area that provided a whirlpool tub and bar for a romantic weekend getaway. Phone call to book had these specific questions and was assured it would be perfect for our needs. I was fine with paying +$300 a night for a queen suite.

Upon arrival discovered the room- while spacious and clean.. had a very small one person soaking tub with jacuzzi jets. Not all all what we as a couple were expecting. I am only 5 4 and sitting in the tub my feet almost touched the end and the tub was very narrow (but very deep). It s a wonderful soaking tub for one person but certainly not the whirlpool tub for a romantic evening we were expecting from booking the room thru the front desk.

The queen bed was fine. But not suite worthy or plush. You could feel the springs. It could use an upgrade

While the room was clean, it simply was missing what I would expect for a $300 night room. The towels were dingy beige, small, thin rough, and certainly not hotel worthy. Two towels were provided with no extras. A single shampoo,soap, and conditioner was provided. It was adequate . But honestly this is what I expect from a days inn. Not an upgraded suite!

This location is a wedding venue. The bar closed at 9:00 in a Friday night and then was reopened for a wedding after party. So while there is a bar onsite it s not for all guest use nevessarily. The bartenders were happy to make us drinks to bring back to our suite however.

Recommendations to the hotel would be to pay attention to the details that other $300/night places provide ... robes, plush soft towels, traveler lotion, conditioner, soaps, bottles of water in suite for coffee to a drink, assortment of firm and soft pillows. Also the wing chair in the middle of the spacious bathroom angled to face the toilet was a little bizarre and amusing. I suppose that is for your partner so you can use the soaking tub and they can sit and chat with you Lol

Our overall stay was fine. It just did not meet expectations for a $300 a night room when most on site amenities were restricted to wedding parties and those guests. I think it would be a lovely location for a wedding and guests though. Just not a couple on a weekend getaway. You can stay at a chain for half the price and have as nice a room with more comfortable bed and towels.

The venue was very nice. The food was delicious. It was a very spacious and quiet area.

Great place for Thanksgiving! Service & food was absolutely phenomenal. We had an awesome time at a table with a spectacular view of the fall foliage. 5 stars. You have to check this place out!

Amazing venue for my son's wedding. Food, service, accommodations, atmosphere made it an event that everyone in attendance will be raving about for years.

Go for Sunday brunch or hold a wedding in a beautiful destination campus in the Poconos...up to you....we did the brunch.

Brunch was amazing from the filet mignon carving station to crab salad, to caviar, to turkey croquettes, to made to order omlettes and Waffles...just a great assortment of high quality food in country yuppy chic...and it was relatively inexpensive.

The views from the campus and the rustic quality of the buildings set a wonderful scene for whatever you are celebrating. My only regret is that we didn't sleep overnight at the Inn. They do run specials for accomodations grouped together with spa treatments or brunch at a very reasonable rate.

I was part of a wedding here and the service was fantastic! Gorgeous grounds and reception area, great food. I have a gluten sensitivity and they were incredibly considerate to make sure I was accommodated. Would recommend!

My sister was married here over the weekend and all I can say is WOW!!! Barbara was her event planner and there was not a detail missed. From the very early stages of planning to the end of the night, the event went flawlessly and beautifully. Barbara and Ryan made sure the bride, the bridal party, and the guests were taken care of til the very end! Not only was the staff excellent but the food, omg!! I had guests keep telling me how good it was and the abundance of it! One of the guests even said it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been to! Thank you so much Stroudsmoor for making my sisters dream wedding into a reality. You guys rock!

What can we say, this review is way over due but it was the hardest thing to put into words. October 26, 2019 was single handedly the best day of our lives. Yes because us as best friends got to marry each other, but Linda and the Stroudsmoor Country Inn family made the impossible, possible. Dealing with a cross cultural wedding, an insane guest list, countless meetings, phone calls, emails, and guest bookings on site that changed who knows how many times was just the beginning, Linda was a God send. I have never personally met someone as poised and professional as her. What she can do to make your dream wedding has no limits and she does it with class, compassion, and heart. She genuinely cares about her couples and calms every anxiety about the process you might have. We were and still are today so thankful for what Linda has done for us. And as far as the day of the wedding, we want to shout out Belkis, our personal Wonder Woman! Belkis, from the bottom of our hearts.. Thank you! Thank you for keeping us calm... Thank you for assisting us with our every need, want, and desire...as well as our bridal party s and family s as well. You are an amazing woman and much appreciated! We can t tell you how many people have told us this was the best wedding they have ever been too. And even a year later we continue to receive those sentiments. We were truly blessed to have Linda head our wedding from start to finish with many extra surprises she had up her sleeve (don t want to mention to ruin any surprises, but oh my!). Always the place to go for a fantastic Sunday brunch. Not cheap but so worth it.

The best restaurant in the Poconos. Great place for weddings, getaways, parties, and Christmas.

We went to the Pavilion for a birthday party and had a wonderful time. Food was great and the staff was very accommodating. Very recommend

Directions are SO poor within the venue . No signs or names of party involved. Would recommend another venue for a wedding.

We attended a wedding this weekend at the Inn. It was a beautiful place for the ceremony and reception.

Absolutely the best buffet in the Poconos. Very friendly staff and a charming room in a beautiful location.

Never had someone take such good care of me. Showed up around ten to check in after traveling all day. Asked for some food but the kitchen was closed. The hostess allowed us a meal to go at half the price, and let me tell you this was a gourmet meal. Not to mention it's a beautiful place in a beautiful area.

This is the second time we have stayed at Stroudsmoor and we are excited to be getting married here in two months. Everything about this hotel and venue is amazing!

Location, rooms, and service were all fantastic, (other than one surly and irritated bartender; it was a wedding, of course we're going to be energetic). On site bar could stay open later than 10:30 if legally allowable. Room was clean and well appointed.

Granddaughters wedding. Food was terrible! Had icy cold chicken and peppers. Very small portion that you could not eat anyway!

Rooms were amazing, food was fantastic, staff were wonderful, and the environment is astounding.

The best brunch you could imagine. Incredible high end buffet. Love it! Seafood buffet Friday nights too! Just a great place.

The seafood buffet is the best kept secret in my mind. My family and I have been going here for years- keep up the great work. :)

The food was delicious. The place itself was nice, and they decorated beautifully for the holidays. The staff were nice and helpful, given that they had to wait on a larger party. I really liked it, and would go again with friends some time.

Stroudmoor restaurant

Went there Wednesday night for the prime rib special. We had a new waiter, started that night.
He was lost, but that s management s fault no one kept an eye on him or our order. The prime rib took forever, I ordered it medium rare, it came well done. I didn t feel right complaining to him, he was young, new and freaked.
My wife had the samon but was happy with it.

I cannot talk enough about how incredible our experience with Stroudsmoor was. My wife and I were dreading the process of figuring out Everything we had to do for our wedding. Everyone talks about how stressful weddings are to plan. We were preparing for a nightmare, and we ended up with a dream.
First, let me say that the Stroudsmoor as a venue has everything we could possibly need. Every service, every need, every piece of equipment, every style, and a venue and dining option for every budget, they had everything we could have possibly asked for. With a planner or coordinator for every aspect of our wedding we knew we were in kind, caring, and experienced hands. It was never a hassle or a stress. They handled our floral, the girl's hair and makeup, our food, our table and dinnerware, and they gave us referrals to any vendor we may need, from bagpipes to polka players, live bands to incredible DJs, transportation and officiants.

Barbara and her assistant Gina were our wedding planners and we're going to rant and rave about how fantastic they were for the next 50 years. They had answers to every question we had and gave us the answers to questions we were too inexperienced to ask. They foresaw every hiccup, every circumstance, and every need of ours from the very onset and took care of everything. Their ability to coordinate and work with our photographer and DJ, who they referred us to and were perfect, made everything seamless, everyone worked as one unit. The bustle ribbons on Kate's dress had torn after the ceremony. By the time we had gotten into the reception, Barbara had already created new bustle ribbons to take care of Kate's dress. They really go above and beyond and make you feel like you are the most important thing about that day.

On the day of our wedding I was a nervous wreck. I was nervous that someone was going to get too drunk or that I was going to say something wrong or pass out. Never once did I have to worry about anything venue related. The ceremony was beautiful and heart-warming, and the reception was fun and just awesome! Our private facilitator and waiter, Ryan and Jeanie, were on point. We wanted for nothing, had drinks all night, had food and time to eat it, even came over with my jacket and cuff-links when it was time for a picture opportunity. Ryan made us feel truly special and really reminded us that the night was about us. He even packed us goodie bags to take home with extra hors devours, entrees, and cake.

The entire night was focused around us having a great time and I cannot stress how perfectly they nailed it. Looking back, there is nothing I would change about that day. We're still hearing from friends and family how amazing the food and music was, and that it was
the greatest wedding they've ever been to.

Stroudsmoor, if you read this, thank you so much for creating the best wedding we could have possibly asked for.

Most beautiful place, immaculate grounds, unreal room pricing, views, great breakfast, nice restaurant, good wine prices, indoor pool, indoor jacuzzi, peaceful, porch off room, can't say enough.

The Stroudsmoor is a beautiful venue for weddings. I have been to two over the years; each were in separate areas. It is easy to find and parking was convenient. I removed 1 star because the air conditioning wasn't working on a hot July day and a common drink request was not able to be fulfilled.

Beautiful Property Service was great and food was very good. Beef Entre was delicious chicken was just okay.

Went into the buffet for my grandmother's 80th and it was all fantastic. The orange cheesecake was pretty bomb.

Having my wedding here in October. Working with the staff here has me confident the day will go flawlessly

This past weekend our son and beautiful bride were married at Terraview! The wedding was amazing! The room decor was breathtaking and beautiful! The Stroudsmoor staff goes above and beyond to keep everyone happy . Everyone that works there are friendly, helpful, sincere, caring and just overall outstanding service! The food was delicious and portions were filling and then they even came around with more! All of our guests just raved about the beauty of the room and the wonderful waitstaff ! They loved the food ! From the time we booked a year and half ago until the end of the wedding our experience with everyone was unbelievable and made everything perfect for us ! If We could give 20 stars We would . Best wedding ever ! Thank you very much for making our wedding magical and so memorable!

We hosted a baby shower there. The room was perfect and the food and service were terrific.
