This place is phenomenal I will be here again. Thank you so much!!
This place is phenomenal I will be here again. Thank you so much!!
It's a beautiful place. Clean. Very well decorated. The food is excellent. The staff very friendly.
Had a pre mother's day dinner here and it was very nice. The food was great, decent selection/variety, only buffet style. The staff were extremely nice and took great care of us. The sangria was sweet and probably had very little wine in it. All in all, nice place to go and have some dinner.
The service at the restaurant was wonderful however, the food was just okay. The exception to that was the salad bar was kept extremely fresh and the cream of broccoli soup was good. We went for a tour of the various venues for a possible wedding and although it's a beautiful place, we decided not to go with them because of the distance as well as the food.
We stayed in the main inn which is the oldest part of the inn. But in 1800's, but updated. Beautiful, old furnishings, yet comfortable bed and modern bathroom. Buffet dinner was phenomenal!
Great place! The building is old, and looks it without feeling run down. (My kind of aesthetic!) Room was clean and the included breakfast was delicious. Only problem was my room was right over Guest Check-in so I got to hear everyone coming and going.
Beautiful well managed wedding venue, cocktails and entrees are amazing. The staff is very polite and attentive. A wonderful evening!
It was a beautiful place with great drinks and food great for all events
A wonderful inn found in the mountains. Breakfast was included in the expenses and the staff at the bar was incredibly friendly and personable. The inn offers many amenities that was not able to make use of, but certainly will in future.
Beautiful venue for a wedding. Great staff and great atmosphere.
First time visiting I have to visit this place again before I can talk about it.
Great place. Wonderful atmosphere. Unbelievable food and professional staff.
Have been coming to the Stroudsmoor with my family since I was young. Now that I am married (married at the Stroudsmoor!) I cannot wait to continue visiting each year with my husband and hopefully children one day. Recommend a trip in the fall but is fabulous all year round!
The food and service was excellent. Beautiful facility.
Their food is absolutely delicious every time I visit. It is the standard by which I judge all other restaurants. Clean and friendly atmosphere.
Great place to enjoy the natural splendor of the poconos and get married. Feel the blessings comfort you like a cashmere sweater on a brisk fall day.
Service was very good at the terrace view. Need larger bathrooms. Beautiful set up
Had Thanksgiving dinner there. The food was awesome and the waitress was very nice.
I was there for a wedding and not only was the venue absolutely gorgeous but all the employees were amazing and always right there to help if you needed anything. I definitely give this place a 10
Columbus day weekend. Homey, cozy, and incredible views.
Went here for a friend's wedding. Outdoor ceremony. Let me say the Fall foliage view was phenomenal.
Very nice setup they have. Lots of different locations to host a wedding. There's lodging for guests to stay overnight. I haven't tried the food yet but my fiance and I will be getting married here in July. Hopefully everything runs smoothly.
Went here for a holiday meal with my family. The cramped 10 people at a table that could fit only 6. The food was underwhelming and bland.
the best local dining in the area. great buffet style dinners and brunches.i love the brunch on sundays. i start with breakfast and finish with lunch. you can get eggs benedict or omletts from the kitchen at no extra charge. always save room for dessert.it is included in the price of meal. their pies , cakes , and pastries are made by them. they are all excellent and a great finish to a delicious meal . i live local and reccomend this to any and all that enjoy a comfortable place to relax and enjoy a great meal.
Amazing grounds. Servers are on top of get food out. Excellent service.
Went here for a summer outdoor wedding. I thought the venue was beautiful and the food was very good.
Beautiful location overlooking the countryside, a tasty onslaught of hors d'oeuvres, and friendly staff. Was there for my cousin's wedding.
Second year we took the Mom's there for Mother's Day. The Stroudmoore staff and enviornment made the day even more special.
My husband and I got married at Ridgecrest at Stroudsmoor 2 weeks ago and couldn't recommend it more. Stroudsmoor has wedding planning down to a science and makes it easy to smoothly plan every piece of your day. One of the best parts of getting married at Stroudsmoor is that they have everything you need right on site. Being able to arrive the day before your wedding and have the rehearsal dinner, hair/makeup, florist, lodging, ceremony, and reception in one place made our wedding day feel more like a wedding weekend. They even set aside space for our guests staying on site to have breakfast in a designated spot in the Main Inn without us asking.
We worked with Amy and she was truly a pleasure to work with. She made sure all of our questions were answered and helped us make decisions when we were unsure about something.
We were working with a limited budget and Stroudsmoor made sure we were still able to have the wedding of our dreams!
Amazing as usual. Food is excellent. Staff is friendly. Great place to eat and enjoy.
Beautiful place to stay on a quiet area. Staff waa very friendly.
Great food and very cozy place!! Service was awesome
Went here for Thanksgiving Buffet. Great service and great food.
I got married at stroudsmore in 9 years ago and the food at stroudsmore in is still great I go there twice a week to dine with my husband and friends, I love this place.
A few weeks ago we were trying to make it out to our weekend home nearby, and were unable to due to the horrible storm. Never heard of this place, but seemed to be the only one in town with power. The room we had was nice. Fireplace and two bedrooms. It was around the back of the building so people were above us. Very thin walls/ceiling so we could hear them to the point of exactly what they were saying. The beds were very hard, but other than that it was great. Fireplace in the living room was a nice touch. We have since been back twice for dinner on the weekend because the food was so great when we stayed during the storm. We really enjoy it. Service is always attentive and very nice. Deserts are to die for. Now one of our regulars for weekend dinners. Just made reservations for Mother's Day brunch!
Recently here for a wedding. Excellent staff, beautiful location, wonderful food.
Beautiful place, luncheon there was very well done, service superb
Food is okay it's the same as it's been for you is nothing spectacular but it's about time they updated the interior it's as old as all get-out
The place is breathtaking. The food is 5 star. Great place for a wedding.
We stayed here for a wedding. The grounds are beautiful and the wedding venue was breathtaking
The service and staff were wonderful, we had a great time.
The food is excellent whether you choose the dining room with salad bar, carving station and hot buffet or, on the lighter side, The Mahogany Room with Burgers. Soups and sandwiches ( and those wonderful desserts made fresh daily from their own on-premises Bakery)! You will surely find everything to please your palate!!
Great place if you don't want to think about planning your wedding. I went with my fiancee to check out the venue and we we're greatly disappointed... You can't do anything unless you have it OK'd by them. Friendly people, but way too many rules
Modern venue, friendly staff, and beautiful grounds as a photographer I really enjoy photographing events here.
Looking to have our wedding there, can't wait, they are awesome.
Atmosphere is worth my 45 minute trip up into beautiful Pocono Mountsins. Beautiful grounds surround country inn, circa early 1800's. I always get salad bar. Fresh, tasty items perfectly seadoned!
Enjoyed the outside music and buffet was worth the price and fun for all ages
Attended a wedding there this past weekend. The parents of the bride and groom were shoved in a corner. They should have been out front with the wedding party. The vegetarian dinner (which you did not get to choose) consisted of a spinach stuffed mushroom. You had to go to the bathroom to make sure you didn't have spinach stuck in your teeth. Stroudsmoor should just give a fish option. It's pretty bad when employees tell you to eat the hors d'oeuvres because the dinner is going to be bad.
I absolutely loved my experience at this hotel! It was one of my favorite hotel experiences in the past few years. The room we stayed in was a very good deal, however, it was absolutely beautiful, very comfortable, very clean, and quite unique. The room had a separate room inside that included a huge walk in closet and a workspace. The staff was very very friendly.Lastly, there was an AMAZING complimentary breakfast that was absolutely delicious. I would really love to stay here again.
The Stroudsmoor is a beautiful event location. I was very impressed with how gorgous the grounds were.
Beautiful grounds for a wedding! It was rainy and you didn't even notice, with a covered fireplace area outside and a great reception hall!
Beautiful setting and lodging. Food was okay not great.
Food was good. Service was good. Will definitely be going back again.
Very nice place for an outdoor wedding. Venue was very nice.
Sooooo beautiful. If you are considering a wedding and have the funds. Doooo it!!! It's beautiful
Pretty room but outdated. AC not cool enough. All drawers are broken. Tub with dents. One ice machine for entire complex- you need to drive to get the ice. Bar only open til 845 PM.
Pretty site, good location, friendly and attentive staff and serving staff. Bravo!
I didn't stay at the hotel but I did have the buffet!!! The waitstaff was so very accommodating. I have never had such high class service at a buffet. The manager Christy helped me by finding a table for all 14 of us. Then she went above the call of duty to stop by our table and ask how everything was she took away dirty dishes. I have never felt so welcomed in such a homey place. My family raved about it for several months. I felt I needed to reach out.
Fantastic experience! Food and service was great. Excellent venue!
The venue for the wedding I just attended wasn't the best but the Food Service the drinks and the after party we're awesome
Attended a beautiful wedding this weekend. The venue was gorgeous and very polite!
I stayed at Stroudsmoor Country Inn for what was supposed to be a peaceful one night stay away from the busy city life. I opted to stay in a cottage, ordered room service, had wine, and decided to unwind for the evening. While lying in bed and watching television, I began having this persistent itch on the right side of my neck that would just not give up. I presumed that I was experiencing an allergic reaction to the detergent used on the sheets, but when it became unbearable I eventually retreated to the rest room to look in the mirror. Upon glancing I noticed a cluster of what I thought was hives on the right side of my neck. I then went to unzip my shirt with fears that it had spread, when lo and behold, I saw a bed bug clinging to the side of the garment!!! Without completely managing to go off the deep end, I was able to drown the critter in the sink but keep it there as evidence. Afterwards, I phoned the front desk sometime around 1am, and managed to speak to a very sleepy sounding clerk who was not too amused nor all that sympathetic. He put me in a different room of same value but with 2 beds this time. At that point my nerves were shot, and I never slept in either bed, but sat in a chair with a chaise. I must have gotten 3 hours of sleep that night as any sound or sudden movement made me jumpy. It felt like torture. The first manager that I spoke to in the morning insisted that a $50 credit was all that she could offer. She further explained that she would have to check with her manager to see if something higher could be given. I, of course wanted to be fully compensated, so I waited for her to follow up on this, as $50 was a clear slap in the face for the torment that I went through over night. Later on in the day, the same manager left me a voicemail saying that she was authorized to give me a credit of $71.46. Now some may think that this is better than nothing, but I trust that having a bed bug encounter at a hotel has to be up there in the top three worst scenarios when lodging away from home. If you ve ever lived through a bed bug encounter, then you know where there s one, there are more, and you may turn up transporting them into your home. Mr. Fort, refusing to refund me for the full night, insinuates that he failed to be hospitable and take full responsibility that this happened on his property, while acknowledging the lingering hazardous effects that could be had. It also shows that he thinks that some part of my short one night stay was actually of some value after this traumatizing experience. No, these sort of things can t be foreshadowed all the time, but just know if something of this severity (or worse) does happen on their property, it may be treated nonchalantly. NOT the type of hospitality that I want to endorse.
Had a Wonderful dinner experience at the Restaurant with some friends. Service was great and Kristy was very accommodating. Will be back defiantly! Thank you for a good night out for dinner and drinks.
Location was easy to get to and an amazing venue with gorgeous views.
A very nice quiet place to stay in. They had WiFi and good signal. The beds were comfort able and room was clean when I came back to it.
Room was nice but very small. Nice pool. Our main complaint was the food. The menu online was unavailable so don't plan! Dinner buffet was a pork festival basically (ham, sausage, pork roast, pork meatballs,...) and cold rolls. Waitress was awful, bringing us something we did not order, then disappearing for long periods. Morning breakfast, again hard to get waited on and hot food was cold. We had a much better room and ammenities at the Hampton day 2 and for under half the price. If you want ONLY pretty grounds, you will like it.
The cocktail hour food was amazing. Seems like a great wedding venue.
