Arrived and restaurant was half full for brunch, there were 4 of us who all ordered breakfast items and it took 52 minutes to get our food. Our waitress was basically non existant, soft scrambled eggs that I ordered were actually scrambled hard with parts burnt and they were cold as were the other eggs that were ordered. They give you what's basically a double shot glass for water with a small carafe to refill your glass so when your waitress is non existant you just run out. This place used to be great but has dropped off the face of the earth for brunch choices.

Bathtub salad bar...This is our favorite spot for Sunday breakfast. The salad bar turns into a breakfast bar and offers up sausage gravy and biscuits! The food is always good , and the service is great.

Well for it to be my birthday.. The waiter was not prompted at assisting my table of 5. Between taking my order to taking up payment. Food was okay. But next time I'd rather go to City Diner on Broad St.

Service was prompt, like the lighter inside since I last visited. Fried oysters great! Mashed potatoes were cold, but fixed. Fried catfish special was crispy but underseasoned and the skin was on, not my preference.
An update to the menu may be warranted, too many great restaurants in RVA anymore.

Service very good, nice looking place, very pleased with the cocktails & the beer list. They let you sample the tap beers which I always really appreciate. I can unfortunately say that the food was only good, nothing more.

Went for brunch on Sunday, first time trying, not impressed... food choices seemed limited on brunch menu, and I was surprised with no potatoes or fruit on the plates with steak and eggs or the egg sandwich, very plain and unappealing to the eye. Toast for sandwich was real close to being burnt. The bathtub buffet was fine, just cold salad choices and one soup.

If I want breakfast from a bathtub, I'll stay home. It's a glorified Ruby Tuesday at best. Every time I go, I'm the only one there under 70 years old. Go next door to strawberry St. Market instead. They have amazing food, great beer, and Raza is the nicest guy you'll meet.

The bathtub brunch bar is to die for. Seriously, everything you could want in an unlimited brunch bar except maybe waffles but... they have donuts! Great for kids too! Changing table in the women's restroom is a plus! And a good assortment of wine by the glass!

The tuna was really good, sauteed brussel sprouts are heaven and the hush puppies are great. Also a decent place to get some good coffee(free refills ). Plus the staff and waiters are always kind.

Great place - I've had lunch there twice in 6 months. (I don't live in Richmond) crabcakes are delicious, salad bar (in an ice filled clawfoot tub) is very filling, and my husband had the chicken pot pie (steamy hot & very good).
Stop by the next time you're in the Fan District.

Has some kinks to work out. Special menu on the wall turned out to be available only for brunch. I found out only after I had ordered.
Also the waitress neglected to check in after we received our food and had to be corralled to get another napkin.

Well my boyfriend got the salad bar which he was pleased with everything was fresh and delicious but that was the only positive thing about this place. I got the veggie pita wrap, which was supposed to have hummus and feta on it and I didn't taste a bit of hummus on it and asked the waitress and she said that it was a "light layer" but she didn't have any explanation of why I couldn't find any feta cheese on it. It was flavorless and unsatisfactory so I decided to get their Hanover Tomato quiche instead which was even worse. It was basically scrambled eggs with some tomato and basil mixed in. The base was mushy and the fruit that came with it was basically rind and not ripe enough at all. Not to mention our waitress treated us like it was my fault the food was bad and never once checked on us after we complained and she kept pouring warm water in our glasses for refills and didn't offer us any ice and all the other waitresses were hanging out at the bar socializing pretty much the whole bar was just staff. Then when it was time to leave she just sat the check down and walked away....didn't ask if we needed a box or anything. I definitely wouldn't go back or recommend this place to anyone.

Still one of my absolute favorite brunch spots. Just about everyone can find something they want here. And prices are reasonable.
**IMPORTANT: The place can be packed later on in the morning, but an early brunch at 10 or 10:30 will help you beat the crowds.**
Parking can also be a little tough so be prepared for walking a block or two unless you get really lucky.

Friends and I had dinner at this restaurant and bar on a weekday evening. One friend ordered soup and salad which he made himself from the ample salad bar. I ordered the Swiss and crab quiche which was delicious and a large serving, with sauteed Brussels sprouts. The other friends enjoyed their selections as well. Warm, friendly and attractive atmosphere.

Okay place for brunch I guess.. We took my step dad for his birthday. Didn't find anything about this place great. I ordered eggs benedict w/ crab meat, and it was very good. Only thing is that I noticed my eggs were not Benedict they were fried, didn't bother me much since I enjoy fried eggs too. But if your gonna say one thing on the menu don't bring something different on my plate.

There were some people waiting outside looking eagerly to get in after we tried to get some good pizza from a few doors down.

Being curious we went ahead and peeked at the menu and it seemed to peek out interests. The wait for a little long (20-25) on a Tuesday night but it was worth it. The bar staff was attentive to the requests for drinks and when wee finally sat down it was pretty good.

I had the "pizza bread" (insert fancy name) but it was very good with a good fresh tomatoes and cheese for the ingredients. Then I had a chicken with a crab-meat inside of it, while it was a tad small - it packed A LOT of flavor. I believe it was called a Chicken Chesapeake.

Very pleasant neighborhood restaurant. More than adequate menu and a very unique bathtub buffet. Would definitely visit again. Have already recommended to others. Might have a bit of trouble finding parking at times. Narrow older residential streets.

I've been coming here for 20 years. It's the best bite to eat in all of Richmond and will always hold a very special place in my heart.
Delicious, homestyle eats in a community setting. <3 couldn't ask for more.

I went inside at the bar and got the oyster dinner that came with two sides. I ordered mashed potatoes and brussel sprouts. They always stirs were super small and loaded with breading and there was only 7 to the order. mashed potatoes were real and had decent flavor though they were dry and you could tell they had been sitting for quite a while. The brussel sprouts were delicious. The service from the bartender was mediocre. She lacked in personality, no conversation from her, when she did speak it was very monotone and when I asked her questions she seemed annoyed. For $19 I would have expected a better quality of food. Because I have gotten better Seafood meals at seafood restaurants for cheaper.

If you want subpar brunch that costs more than the several other (much better) places around, come here.

The brunch bar was cold. Like the bacon and other typically hot foods, were actually cold.

The top shelf Bloody Mary was made with Tito s... i was afraid of may be used to concoct a regular drink.

The omelettes at our table were tiny and the toppings were stingy. Worse yet, the French toast was served with hotel packets of fake syrup and whip cream was brought out in a Reddi Whip can.

The waitress was nice, the hostess was not. However it was obvious any request would not be catered to.

Overall, poor experience.

Heard lots of good things about this place, so I decided to take the family for dinner. The pot pie was very rich and flavorful. The collard greens were good, as well as the cornbread with jalapeno butter. On my second visit, I wanted to try the salad bar. The salad bar was voted Best Salad Bar in Richmond, so expectations were high. I thought it was OK. Besides the usual salad ingredients, they had other things like fruit, pasta salad, tuna and a soup of the day. The variety was nice, but I was not as impressed with the taste of some of the side items. Some were OK, but others were rather bland. The crab stew, however, was very flavorful and quickly ran out! I wish they would have offered rolls or bread sticks on the salad bar or as an accompaniment to the meal. Overall, I thought the selection was rather limited as far as dinner entrees and prices for some items were higher than expected. Also, parking can be a challenge based on the location. I would recommend taking a look at the menu before your visit.

A Richmond staple. Love the bathtub salad bar (if I'm not the one picking up the bill). This spot seems to bring out a much older generation on diners into the heart of the fan... not your usual hipster spot.
