Mucky Duck Pub Review

1st day of NFL no sound only bad music. Bartender with a bad attitude, not working for tips.

Great atmosphere. The bar tender was on it telling folks as they came in to put on their mask, but makes no sense as they are not necessary at the table.

Normally have a good time at this place. Quesadillas are awesome. Loaded with cheese. The pretzel bites are fairly tasty. Light and soft, cheese sauce had a thick skin that was rough on them. Plenty of outside seating, with socially distance spaceing. Service can be slow when they are busy however food still comes out quick.

Great service, friendly staff. Good selection of beers to choose from. The outdoor area offers good seating with nice views of the lake.

I went here once had the best hand breaded chicken strips. Went out of my way to go back for the good chicken strips and got banquet chicken. Disappointed :( decent beer though.

5 visits. 5 disappointments. This time the pizza oven was broke and half the menu was not available. Short on waitresses again.

Overpriced drinks with little alcohol.
Worst taco salad I ve ever had. Old meat, soggy lettuce and an upcharge for just about any topping.
Usually I can get over bad food if the service is good. Ha! NOT HERE! You have to get the bartenders/servers off their cellphones first. My waitress obviously didn t want to be at work as her poor attitude and lack of effort reflected that. Go to Whiskey Business or another bar. Avoid this place at all costs. Unless you want to enjoy an ice water

I personally know the dj they have there Saturday's and he has some killer beats. I love the atmosphere there and it generally isn't to rough of a crowd every once in awhile there is a group or 2 that gets rowdy. I like the outside bar the most cause I like to be outside the most the bartenders are usually pretty on it when my drink gets low but if there is a crowd they might run a little behind.

Came in with basketball style/nike pants and a hoodie. Denied entry and was told to change clothing. Nothing was obscene. Will never support this bar again or change my style for a beer.

Couldn't tell you what the food was like because I only went for the drinks lol. The drink were amazing, cool atmosphere, and tons of games. Will definitely be going back!

Nice place to go for gatherings. We had my 45th high school reunion there. They have a large outside seating area with a bar next to a large lake. Food was good.

They've got a brand new Guinness line and it pours perfectly and tastes damn good.

I would love to give them 5 stars, but either they are way UNDER staffed, or the manager is never there to check on the service issue. Wonderful deck overlooking a little lake. The food is fantastic and piping hot.

A lot of us used to come here two years ago but it has unfortunately gone downhill. Not ever feeling quite safe here and we have seen several fights break out. It is a shame because it is hard to find an outdoor patio area quite like this on the Southside. The associates are friendly so not their fault for the changes that have going on here. The food is very mediocre bar food.

Didn't like it. Hodgepodgery of bars. Dance club, hillbilly bar, you want it they have it.

The drinks were awesome but we had to ask four times for food which never got ordered. We even asked the same lady twice who assured us they would notify the manager, which probably never happened. We just wanted to order some food...it seemed no one wanted to take our order. I did track down another waiter and when we walked across to our area she told us this wasn't her area. So, no food again...a little disappointed

AWESOME! Really great environment definitely safe and secure. They have plenty of bouncers so there's hardly ever fight.

I've been going here for four years ever since I turned 21. The food is really good and the service is really good too, sometimes you have to wait but that's reasonable especially when it's really packed or if they're short on staff. The beer is always cold and very good tasting, and if there's ever a problem with anything they always do the best to fix the situation.

Yes they do have a dress code and that's reasonable and definitely makes the place a nicer and more reasonable bar. It helps reduce a lot of fights. I come here three or four times a week especially Fridays and Saturdays and I have to say ever since they've upped their game, fights are very rare, maybe once a every couple of months or so. So, I definitely feel safe bringing my wife here more often than I used to.

This bar even host events they just had two different Indy cars up here not too long ago and I think they're supposed to have the Clydesdale horses coming tonight. They even host charity events and class reunions. I'm pretty sure they'll even do a family reunion for those over 21 of course.

The food is delicious and they have a great selection to choose from. Yeah it is mostly typical bar food but it's definitely better than any of the other bars I've been to and ate at. They have a great dance floor and a huge outside patio right on a lake, where you can smoke. This bar definitely does not disappoint and it pleases every crowd by far. Also, to boot they even have karaoke on Fridays which is awesome.

Everyone's really polite, sometimes it's fast-paced but that's just how it is when you're busy they really try to make you smile that's for sure and if they can't do it then no other bar can. I honestly wish there were more stars to give but unfortunately there are only five and they have earned every last one, by far.

Went here for the first time in a quite a while, and was impressed! I love they made the back a game room, and more seating. My personal favorite is the patio! Huge outdoor area with a small pond behind it. Beautiful for day drinking in the summer time. Treat your bartenders well and they will do the same to you!

It was close to the hotel I was staying at, however I do feel like the customer service could've been better.

Had a great time. Was really laid back and fun. Was a great crowd. Workers were pleasant.

Kinda a dive bar but good people and cozy place to be and drink prices arnt bad.

Bouncer gave me a hard time for my attire but because it was convention weekend downtown, it was ok. So I guess if it isnt an issue why did they make an issue out of it not being an issue. lol. Wore white T-shirt with logo on it and Grey basketball shorts. Service was excellent that weekend

Being here for ten minutes all of a sudden tonight security is walking around being complete nazis about the dress code. Some guy is wearing basketball shorts and just got kicked out. The longest standing manager supposedly is going around enforcing it saying that's the reason he has kept his job for so long is because he's enforce this ridiculous dress code. Personally I'm dressed fine but while walking in some guy with a v neck white shirt wasn't allowed in either. A guy that is sitting with us that had a cross around his neck was told to tuck it in. I'm sure that there are several more instances but this is absolutely ridiculous. I would not suggest this place any more to anyone for the simple reason that you can't just come in comfy. It's a bar, it's a bar that has a big patio on the back and people come to relax. Yes there may be a club side but 90% of the people that come here don't go to that side nor do 90% of the people come here care if you have basketball shorts or a white t shirt or black t shirt or a tiny chain with a cross. Seriously mucky duck? This is absolutely ridiculous.

Had a blast on a Sunday night can't wait until this fri and sat nightturn all the way up

Drinks reasonable priced. Definately the local hang for Southsiders. Food that ive had is delicious

Has gone way downhill. Drink specials aren t great, food is a joke. Had awful service three times now and this is their $9 wings. For 7 small as hell chicken nuggets

Mucky duck used to be my favorite place and only place I would go for a night out. pre COVID this place was amazing, the staff, food, and drinks. Since opening back up after COVID I have been twice. The first time I was forced to open a tab. My food took two hours and my waitress forgot our breadsticks, fried pickles, and had never even asked if we needed more drinks. She then forgot we had a tab open the one she said we had to open. She handed my friend someone else's card, and didn't remember she had two other of our cards. I called it a day thought maybe just maybe she was new and overwhelmed. Fast forward to Halloween and the same thing happened. I am sad to say me and my crew have to find a new spot.

Great pizza at an awesome price. Servers are very sweet!

What a fun little place for lunch. Server was wonderful. Food was delicious. I can tell the reason my mother and her friends love this place so. Pizza is phenomenal.

Went in with my wife one night while I was wearing sandals and shorts (it was a nice night out). The bouncer checks my ID, lets me through. We get to the back porch and sit down, ready to order, when a different bouncer says I need to leave.

Apparently, this southside bar thinks it is a high rise night club complete with a dress code that does not allow shorts. (This was not the first time I had been there wearing a similar outfit). The bouncer escorted us out and I told them I was simply there to have a beer or two but it did not matter. He informed me I would need to drive home, change, then return. Safe to say my response indicated otherwise.

I will never go back to this bar. Such a shame as the porch is such a nice place for a drink on a nice night.

Place is okay. Nothing to rave about but a good place to get a beer every now and then.

Initially, the first order took some time, but it could be from them being so busy. Had a great time, the food came out quickly once the order was placed, the prices of the drinks are fantastic!

Staff was great! Black and tan wasn't tan enough. Fish was rubbery and dry. Too much breading not enough fish. Hoosiers deserve a better quality tenderloin.

It's a good place to be if you're apart of the yuppie man bun and beard scene

The patio is nice, the dance club is better than it used to be, the actual "sports bar" part of it isn't very good since there isn't much room to move around.

I'm only ever here during non-highly busy times. When it's not so busy it's nice. Bartenders take the effort to learn your name and know what you like to drink. Very white crowd at this bar, lots of country. I like to mix it up and play rap and stuff to make people mad and enjoy myself. Food is good. Outside bar area is most popular. Very nice to be out there during warmer weather.

I use to like going there until they converted the dance floor into a game room. Bad move... plz bring the dj back...

It is a decent place to come for drinks and food. Service is decent, but not prompt.

Always crowded it seems with ok service. Food is typical bar food. No blue cheese olives for martini's. Wine glasses were very clean. Stays open late and has an eclectic crowd.

Owner came to our Table and bought all 5
at our table drinks . We went in 2 nights
when we came to Indianapolis IN, for business. Five Stars Recommended.
