A great lodge, great architecture and very nice shops!
A great lodge, great architecture and very nice shops!
It was amazing. The rooms were beautiful and the lodge was so beautiful.
A very special place. Beautiful location, amazing amentities, great service.
Great mountain! Lodge was a bit cramped and no places to change. Great service, high food prices, but I guess that's expected at ski resorts.
This place is absolutely amazing! The whole resort complex is so well built - with all the necessities. There are great food options, an outdoor swimming pool with two hot tubs, an outdoor skating rink, lots of creature comforts and luxuries of all sorts, front row vistas of the mountains, and of course, the ski slopes are right there!
What a beautiful place and experience from my second time skiing. Renting equipment is a bit expensive and their food court isn't that great especially for price of dishes. Will come back though, great experience especially our trainer for ski lessons.
Great mountain for skiing and snowboarding. Nice lodge buildings on both sides of the resort. Food was a little pricey for the quality, but overall great place.
Went to the Skinny Pancake at the Stowe Mountain Lodge. Amazing food and atmosphere!
Overall, we enjoyed our stay at the Stowe Mountain Lodge. Beautiful location, comfortable room, top rate valet staff, and wonderful spa services. Would recommend to a friend and return.
Excellent hotel for a reasonable cost off peak, brilliant pool
Stowe mountain Lodge is beautiful and the quintessential country mountain resort. The staff is all friendly and helpful. It is such a relaxing atmosphere.
Beautiful lodge and rooms customer service very accommodating
Great room. Right next to the mountain with two restaurants.
Beautiful spot - wonderful amenities and friendly faces!
We stayed at the Lodge a few times, this time we stayed in one of their condos down the road a bit. It was incredible, from the look and feel to the fire place and the pond out back it was perfection.
My wife and I stayed at Stowe Mountain Lodge for 3 nights the first week of May 2018. The resort is very nice, clean and with beautiful views but management could use a seminar in guest relations!
We paid for part of our stay with New England Inns & Resorts gift cards. This resort IS a part of this program by the website and New England Inns & Resorts personnel.
When we checked in we presented the gift cards but were told to hold them until check out.
At check out the people at the front desk personnel said that the resort did not accept these gift cards? I went on line and showed him that the resort was part of the program. We got the personnel from New England Inns & Resorts on the phone and they confirmed the gift cards.
The front desk person refused to give us a statement bill for our for our stay until they got a check from NEI&Rs???
After over 30 minutes we left with no bill statement?
A few days later we got a phone call from someone from the hotel, Logan, who said he was part of management. He reintegrated that until they got a check from NEI&Rs a bill statement would not be issued to us. Also he was quite rude to my wife in this call.
It is now May 23 and still No Statement .
We stay in hotels/resorts over 120 nights a year and have never experienced such an attitude!
Excellent skiing and restaurants. If only fewer people knew about stowe it would be spectacular! There are many great features here. That's why it's so busy!
Went skating with the kids and it was fun and easy.
Visited the resort for skiing, but we stayed overnight off site. The resort has two sides, one looking like an original lodge which was alright, then the side that looks very new. The new side is very cozy and posh. Food is very expensive, for instance a bowl of soup can be $11+. The slopes themselves were pretty well maintained our first day but the second day when it had a chance to melt and refreeze, it was pretty dangerous and feel they could've done a bit better. Staff was friendly though and we still had a good time.
Amazing hotel, just a little loud through the doors in the morning :(
Love it, people are extremely nice and accommodating
Great place to ski. Plenty slopes from beginners to advanced. Amazing views.
Westin the reservations manager was amazing and room was awesome. Great overall value!
Still have a night left. Been great. Love the 5his whole region. Valet is fast and returns good. Close to local shops.
Stowe Mountain Lodge is the base of a ski resort in Stowe VT, known as some of the best skiing in the east. I visited recently with the Ski and Board Club from UMass #UMSBC and we were met with the ideal conditions befitting a spring ski. The lodge itself was spacious and comfortable, they provided hot food lunch tray style and the employees were all kind. The slopes are the reason you visit Stowe, however and they are incredible slopes indeed. Over this past weekend they were well groomed and fortunate enough to have gotten several dozen inches of snow from the week prior. The lifts were fast and safe and each one had a foot rest. Overall great experience and I can't wait to visit again!
Beautiful grounds. Excellent staff. Friendly staff. Great rooms
Very impressive place to stay had great view of the trees and mountains. It's probably great for skiing during winter. Food was excellent.
Great summer getaway. Lodging was fantastic as always. Originally hoped to go into town for dinner (but it was getting late), so we decided to eat at the hotel restaurant instead. We arrived too late to eat at Solstice! Luckily, the bar manager Buckley, allowed us to sit in the lounge, and order off the Solstice Dinner menu. Great food, good offering of local beers on tap, overall impeccable service. Can't wait to go back to Stowe!
Amazing! Everything you could ask for in a ski resort! You can walk to the breweries!
We spent MLK weekend here we had a great time the mountain can get busy first thing in the morning when everyone arrives. The waffle lodge at the top of the gondola is great.
My husband and I stayed in a studio room. The room was fabulous! It had a fireplace, large tub, glassed in shower, king bed, sofa, and balcony. Room was very clean. I had 3 treatments at the spa and it was pure bliss! Staff and facilities were exceptional! We also used the four season heated outdoor pool and hot tub in 25 degree weather, which was a fun experience. I definitely plan to go back again!
Beautiful hotel and location. Lots to do and see but soooooo expensive!! Literally paid $50 for 2 bacon eggs and cheese sandwiches, a coffee, hot chocolate, and 2 small pastries (normally that would be around $30), and paid $100 for 3 lunch sandwiches (no sides), water, ice cream, and 3 maple flavored goods from the pantry!! But the hotel is very gorgeous and well taken care of, customer service was great, and overall we really enjoyed our stay and will likely come back.... When we have a bigger budget. Think the Disney world of winter sports and you've got a pretty good idea of what to expect in prices and activities.
After airlines had separated our group during 14 hours of travel... we arrived at different airports and very late at night.
One of us ( young lady ) was stuck in Burlington at 11pm with no phone reception, no plan, and no idea what to do next to find SML.
The big problem was lack of phone reception to contact the group or vice versa.
Billy the Concierge to the rescue !! Within minutes and a few phone calls to his Contacts Billy had organise Plan A, B, and C -
Billy had arranged ( within minutes ) a Driver and Airport Security to meet her at the Gate with her name on a Sign and My name as a password.
The driver then contacted the office which then contacted Billy to confirm that they had found her and were on the way to Stowe... in the middle of the night.
An hour and $95 later our group was reunited... all thanks to Billy - a real Concierge !
Seemed nice, we just stooped in to meet some friends, parking may be easier as a guest, but as someone visiting was a bit confusing.
It was beautiful but just stopped by after a day of skiing
Convenient ski and snowboard rental, casual restaurant.
Always a great time at the Stowe mountain Lodge. Rooms are supurb and the staff is always super nice.
One of the nicest places I have ever been! Great service. Amazing rooms. Pool area is incredible. I could go on and on. This place is awesome. I will be back.
Amazing view, excellent customer service, pet friendly, "borrow" vehicles for 3hr stints, on site coffee shop and spa. Just beautiful.
It's a really cool place. Hot tubs are awesome. Great skiing
I give this lodge a 5 because it looks so cool and i am 10 so i wish to go tere when i go to Vermont again and i wish to stay there but my parents dont have much money please make it possibly for me and my parents to go there so will you kindly drop the prices for me and i bet other citizens dont have much either so please make it possibly thank you from a 10 year old.
Beautiful house set in a quiet road. Had everything you could need and more
Everything at the Stowe Mountain Lodge was great. Beautiful location even though the foliage was past
Beautiful hotel. Great outdoor heated pool. Top notch customer service. Parking off-site was made up for by a great valet system. The kids enjoyed the skating area and the Adventure Center with the climbing wall.
Stowe is incredibly expensive but probably the best Ski mountain in the North East. The lodge is comfortable and sells hood, if expensive, food. They could use more seating at the base but it'll probably fill with people quickly anyway
One of the nicest resorts we've ever stayed in. Stayed here during the off-season and the prices were great, but not many activities were available. Still, the area was amazing, hiking was great and the outdoor pool was a highlight.
Check the negative reviews first and save yourself the trip and the $$ spend because service is not their priority! I booked a room and called the hotel beforehand to ensure that the room I am reserving has Mountain view without any blockage I didn't ask to see the tip of the mountain I was very clear with my description. We arrived at 7PM and it was dark however it was the first level and I could not imagine any foliage view that I specifically asked and extra paid for. So I went back to reception and she said that it is was I am asking for the "Mountain view" and that I wouldn't be able to see it due to the darkness, I could not imagine that so I asked to have a different room on the higher floors mind you we just walked into the room and right back to reception. She said it's not possible due to Covid. The hotel maybe had 60% of capacity probably not even that and yet we were not offered a room change. So I waited until the next morning in hopes that she was right. Guess what? I was looking out to the street. This is beyond disappointing considering I paid close to 1K for 2 nights, I should have booked the other hotels in town that are willing and able to accommodate guest requests. We drove 7 hrs just for this specific view.I am from Germany and dreamed about this place since my teenager age and came with so much excitement. Never again!
On the other note a 4- star hotel should be able to afford a decent coffee machine in the room. It was he cheapest filter coffee maker that you can get and the coffee tasted that way. We addressed the issue we had with the manager and didn't even receive an apology . Very underwhelmed, seriously this is not worth to pay extra $$. Go to a boutique hotel in town that will actually care about their guests.
We only had drinks but good assortment, friendly staff and beautiful lounge!
Just a great resort. Our room was immaculate, they offer gas ranges in the kitchenettes, the place is just lovely. Food in the restaurants is okay, probably better if you don't have any dietary needs because they definitely haven't caught onto that type of thing yet. But what really makes this place special, aside from the idyllic setting and the trails and the green mountain bowl, is the SPA. It's incredible.
The lodge at Spruce Peak is simply amazing. As a 4 diamond hotel it lives up to its ratings. From the exceptionally friendly staff to the complimentary vehicles. The exquisite spa and the gorgeous scenery there is no disappointment when you visit here. I'll recommend to anyone and everyone looking for a getaway.
Excellent vegetable curry soup in the main lodge. It was very nice to have a hot vegetarian soup choice, especially on a cold, blustery day.
