Some great trails and excellent instructors. However the food is very overpriced and their passes are hard to get at discount

Ski in ski out, comfortable, upscale resort with lots of amenities!
Was here for skiing so have no reviews of the internal rooms.
Amazing resort- awesome place, awesome rooms and facilities!!
Sunday I got to go to Stowe Mountain Lodge and spend an amazing day snowboarding with my family and friends. You should check it out if you get a chance since you paid for it. Back when a i g had built it and filed for bankruptcy, I was a bit annoyed. Especially since the executives who have been so reckless with the funds got bonuses that were paid back by Congress as they bailed it out and put the weight of the construction on the taxpayers. You technically own it come visit it will charge you a pretty penny to use it
They have their own village up there you almost do not have to leave
Ski resort with conference facility on a nice plot of land. Food and beer is mediocre and expensive. Rooms much the same. They've tried to create a "village" feel with a couple of extra buildings on site like a coffee shop and a big activity building.
I went to visit a friend and ski. I didnt spend much time in the lodge itself, but when I did the staff was all curteous and helpful, and the skiing was awesome.
Had a great stay. The room was out of this world, lodge feel with a fireplace and a deck. The room also had a small Kitchenette with microwave and gas stove. The views, insane. The bed was a little stiff but not bad. Very clean and seem to be taking precautions well. Pool and jacuzzi were clutch and very warm! Loved it
Pretty nice so far, just keep in mind all the shops close early. Plan ahead to have everything you need
High end lodge at a great mountain. Ski valet, fantastic pool and hot tubs, nice restaurants/bars. No need to leave the resort.
It was a nice stay but felt a little overpriced compared to other luxury hotels I ve stayed at. They just don t seem to be very detail oriented. But the room was nice, and the convenience of the location and ski valet was unbeatable. I was quite surprised that the dining options were so mediocre though. The service we had at the restaurant was great but it was all pretty uninspired, compared to luxury hotels and resorts with superb bars and restaurants.
Could be a great property but falls short. Accommodations that put 2 average adults in double bed rooms that is woefully uncomfortable really hurts the overall experience. Inadequately staffed service area, seating in lobby area where food & drinks are served, means very long waits in somewhat dirty conditions. Given the margins on served drinks and food, I've never understand why any restaurant, hotel, or bar would under staff and make customers wait endlessly for service. Lost revenue!!! Also, no one is cleaning after the kids who drop pizza, and other food on floor, tables etc. Absolutely first rate Spa and great location. Chef's table food & service, Spa, and location get this place to overall above average but it has potential to be 5-star and it's not.
Love the gondola from the parking lot across to the lodge. Sometimes I just go and ride that for hours.
Not at the hotel, just here to ski, but they place is gorgeous!
Amazing place to stay when visiting Stowe.
Lots of activities, great food, friendly & helpful staff.. well done!!
Great place to stay for a ski getaway. Location is amazing and the service is top notch. Amazing job by ski valets and parking valets. Outdoor pool and hot tub facing the slopes and great food right in the lobby.
Beautiful resort with a great atmosphere. The valet parking was great, and the gentleman at the front desk who checked us in was very pleasant, professional and very good at his job! The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The gentleman at the check out however was less than average. He never even asked how we enjoyed our stay, had he I would ve advised that our morning coffee was cut short due to a naked man standing on the balcony of another room, but he never asked so we simply got a receipt and left. Call me a prude, but it ruined our morning and we checked out earlier than we had planned but the resort itself was wonderful!
Really nice place with a great room. Friendly service from everyone
Beautiful place peaceful and pools are always clean and people are amazing the view is amazing game room hot tubs it s a amazing place to go to get away
Good ski resort but not much of a hotel. The restaurant does bank on the fact that not many are going to drive for something to eat. Restaurant can be improved a little
Great accommodations and gym. The hostess lady named Naomi was rude and seem to offer no guidance for guests regarding directions. She ignored people standing there as the setup is confusing regarding different stations. Food was Not good at all except deserts. Adam was superb behind the bar along with the other lady working with him. You need to train The Hostess in evening. Beautiful hotel but skip the food options in restaurants. They need to upgrade the quality across the board
No money was spared building this beautiful lodge and the surrounding lodgings. Big spacious room with free lockers for your belongings. There is also an ice skating rink here with a beautiful view Mount Mansfield. You can rent skates here. That being said, ticket prices are totally outrageous, $142 for one day. Also, a small lunch for one can run you around $30.
Incredible place. Nestled in Stowe Mountain resort with views that are breathtaking. Staff is friendly and helpful
I went there to zipline but it everything was wicked nice there.
Wonderful place very clean nice great service. .....
Fantastic family location lots to do together. Also great for a couples retreat
Visited in the fall for a conference. Our Junior Suite came with a kitchenette (stove top, microwave, dishwasher and plenty of dishware) in between the beds and the entrance. The unobstructed views of the mountain from our small terrace was a nice touch, perfect for a post shower/tub unwinding. The resort itself is very family friendly, many outdoor pools and organized recreational activities were available. Stowe was overall a well maintained lodge with affable staff- hope to be back to experience it during ski season.
The mountain and skiing was phenomenal... The way they handle amnesties is atrocious. They allowed call aheads, and hold the tables for all the no shows. The restaurant at the top of the gondola had roughly 15 tables, 13 tables were unoccupied, yet they were telling people there was an hour wait. Do they not want money?
The lodge was packed and there was not enough seats for everyone. It took us a long time to sit down, and we were tired from skiing. The architecture was cool.
Have been snowboarding here for about a year now. Great place with a fun crew.
Amenities and friendly staff, it s really a great place for vacation. Recommend!
One of the best experiences of my life! The staff the so attentive and focused!
Great atmosphere and great food. The lodge was well thought out and I enjoyed my time there.
Vail Resorts has added a huge hospitality dimension to Vermont. Our recent skiing stay was outstanding despite some challenging weather conditions. There was plenty to do in the lodge when wind drove us in early. The staff, food, and accommodations are five star. It is ski in ski out. We enjoyed a kitchenette and fireplace. While the Rockies will always have the best snow, we can escape to Vermont from DC for a VERY similar experience. We are looking forward to trying it in the summer, too.
I have never written a review before. I have no affiliation to the owners or management of Stowe Mountain Lodge. This past week was the school vacation week in MA. Last minute my wife and I decided that we would take a few days away from the 90+ inches of snow in Boston and find more snow in Vermont.... We did not expect to find any availability at the Stowe Mountain Lodge and were very happy to see there was still vacancy. Our family of three stayed in a standard 'Classic' room. In short, our four days were simply perfect. The room was surprisingly spacious with two twin beds, balcony, large bathroom. The Ski Valet service sounds fancy but really is great and practical. I have traveled the world on business and experienced the best and worst of hospitality - and I can honestly say that EVERYONE at the SML was courteous, genuinely helpful, and seemed to genuinely care about the guests having a great time. Very impressive. Sure it wasn't a cheap stay but I feel it was an investment in a family vacation and memories that we will fondly remember for years. Highly recommended for families yet the facility is kids-friendly without it being all about the kids. Fantastic facility and hospitality.
Great setting and multiple choices in food and bevg
OMG! What an amazing experience at a world class ski resort. A quaint little village setting with activities for families and couples. The room had a fireplace with kitchenette that we used to save a bit of money by eating in one night. The skiing was fabulous like I have never seen it before. There was a ski lift debacle however, that stranded many people that were not to happy. Very expensive long weekend. You only live one.
Really awesome place, plenty of snow! I don't recommend you go there around Christmas - New years. Traffic is terrible. Took us 2 hours to get 5 miles on the buss yesterday.
Great stay at Stowe Mountain Lodge! So much so we extended the trip! Beautiful area and people are great! One small thing, it was difficult to maintain a steady temp in the room, went cold to hot all night. However, I will be back!!
Worst place ever. Don t come here if I have a kid in ur family that has a stuffed animal that they love. They lost mine and changed me forever. I m suing them
Overall the place is great with some exceptions. I was not happy with the room which was given however I am sure better rooms are available. The room which was prepared happened to be infront of construction and with worn our furniture. I should mention my visit was during Covid circumstances. The food was amazing and fresh at solstice restaurant, especially the service of staff is exceptional.
Our stay at the Stowe Mountain Lodge is always fun and eventful. The rooms in grounds are always clean, updated and cozy. They have thought of everything to keep you entertained relaxed and well cared for. The staff is always helpful, friendly and helpful. We asked for small towels a few times and weirdly enough they were never provided. Our pepper shaker was out of pepper, other than that everything was great.
Best dining experience in my life. Highly recommend.
Beautiful place. To go on the ''Gondola'' you must arrive early, its close at 16:00.
We did the ''Sterling pond'' - amazing.
Place is amazing, took the gondola to the top. I cant wait to go back this winter and shred those nasty looking trails!!!!!
Great hotel, nice rooms. Swimming pool is not good, it's shallow with cold water, jacuzzi is always overcrowded during busy time.
Health spa is not accessible if you just wanted to get to the sauna unless you will be spending $150 - $300 on their treatment.
When you book the hotel they tell you sauna is available for $20, but it's not true.
My first time at the resort and mountain with my family of 4. Geography is lovely, but resort and village did not meet my expectation for the pricey 5-star stay. The controller for the fireplace was out of batteries so the fireplace did not shut off for 24h; woodwork in room was beat up; used filter and wet coffee in the maker. Coffee/hot drinks/water were only available in main common area for a few hours during day (lower ranked Hampton Inn has at least free coffee and water 24/7), despite the fact that most skiers want to come in for beverages throughout day, btw runs. Since all of the restaurants (except a small coffee shop), stores, rink, recreational facilities were closed (a fact we were not made aware), food/drink options were v. limited. Outdoor pool is nice but needs better lighting for night swimming so you can keep track of your family members (esp little kids). Valet service and other common areas were v.nice, but the best direct walk-in/walk out access is reserved for private clubs guests, requiring regular hotel guests to schlep, fully dressed, carrying their equipment a good couple tenths of a mile (not easy if you have little kids) to Adventure triple. Car valet, cleaning staff and ski school teachers were FANTASTIC. Front desk staff were nice, but kind of aloof and generally had to refer out Qs bc they didn't have answers. Given the reduced amenities, we felt resort should have offered significantly discounted rates.
This place is beautiful. I was only in the fall and I could imagine how beautiful it is in the winter for ski season. Clean, huge, friendly and plenty to do!
If you are looking for elegance this is the place, but keep in mind that elegance is their main product. There are no extras whatsoever included, that are often included in most top notch hotels and resorts. There is no breakfast or coffee, and everything is paid for as an extra for astounding prices; I thought it to be presumptuous that the offer to sell you the bed sheets in their gift shop, and I could only imagine the price. Only basic cable and a small basic TV, no refrigerator or coffee maker in the rooms, but they do offer delivered to the room meals, but a basic breakfast like a couple of eggs, toast, juice, and coffee will cost you at least $15. The "in your face" valet parking costs $23/day and they don't make it known up front that this isn't an included service. The staff was 50-50 with some being very courteous and personable, and the others like robots. A beautiful building, but in the balance you can do a lot better in other resorts than this place, and I won't be staying there again.
They were great! The Expedia room we requested wasnt available so they gave us some nice benefits to make it up to us. Great staff, great view, great time!
Great atmosphere, great restaurants, great service. You don't have to leave the resort though you may find cheaper items in town. Staff is great.
Very nice experience! The staff was great and the restaurant/bar downstairs was very fun!
The summer events were excellent would reccomend to others
I work here as a sub contractor and I play here as a resident. Really top of the line. Great people because they're either all local or Jamaican . Food and service are excellent and the Mountain, well none of it exists without The Man
Awesome resort for snowboarding. Rentals can be anywhere from $50-60 a day, but you get to store skis and boards overnight.
Pricey and Professional. Everyone calls you by name. The food was great. My three gripes are: REALLY long walk to my room (I will ask for something close to the lobby next time). Valet/Fee parking (huge room fee should cover this). The bed in my room squeaked, I mean badly, and that side of the mattress was uncomfortable (the owners need to replace that mattress). Otherwise sensational property in a gorgeous setting.
Excellent staff, beautiful views and fantastic amenities. Only negative was the need to improve wait service in Solstice restaurant.
High end experience, with an appropriate price tag to boot. Don't expect to save any $$ here. However, I think its a one of a kind experience. Unfortunately, I stayed here at the end of the fall color season. I say unfortunately because everything went into hibernation until winter. It's that massive lull between the colors and snowy winter. All the shops close and all that's left to do is drink at the bar and go make babies. Speaking of the bar, the bar tenders were outstanding with a more than ample personality. The rooms are awesome with tons of room. The bathrooms are beautiful, the shower is great, and everything was crispy clean. The made-to-order breakfast was delicious, but $$$$. Other than that, it's a short drive to Stowe (ate at THE BENCH) and be prepared to pay for Valet. If you have the $$$$, It's worth the stay.
Excellent place and property with beautiful views...
Very nice place to stay, when we booked we thought we would be staying at the Trapp Family lodge, we had booked at The Lodge at Spruce Peak instead but after checking out the Trapp Family lodge, we we're happy about our mistake, they have a great outdoor heated pool and two hot tubs. Very pricey but worth a visit.
