I had an appointment for service- supposedly for express service- yet it took over an hour of waiting to get done. Why have an appointment if this is typical wait time?

Ross, Service Manager is terrible. Was told they replaced a part 2 years ago and come to find out it wasn't replaced and now out of warranty. Need a new headlight and was told $1200 for part and install. No wonder people order online.... Amazon is $145.00 and my husband can change it out for free. No wonder people don't get service at dealerships unless it's warranty work. BTW - Val was great as far as customer service just not able to help me today.

I was very disappointed in my experience this time, and I have been bringing my car to this dealership for service for almost three years. I arrived for my 9 a.m. oil change/tire rotation appointment at 8:45 a.m. I have never waited for more than an hour before, so at a little after ten I checked with the receptionist. She checked with the technician, and they said another 20 minutes if I wanted a wash. I said okay, but I had scheduled a 10:45 a.m. movie with a friend because that should have been plenty of time. Twenty minutes went by, then another ten, and I still didn't have my car back. It was now almost 11 a.m. I asked to get my car back, and it still hadn't been washed, so I told them I would just have to leave without it, though that was disappointing. I paid, and was finally given my car back. I barely made it to my movie with one preview left.
Even if I hadn't had plans after, waiting almost two hours would have been too much. I was told there was one technician working, and that was obviously not nearly enough. Maybe in the future, schedule more than one technician on a Saturday morning to keep the service on track. In the meantime, I may have to find another dealership if the service here has gone this downhill.

Our sales person was the best. He helped us make our decision, and then did a great job at explaining the details once we got set up. I had a price in mind when I walked in the door, and they met us on it, then exceeded the trade in value. All in all, a great experience. I just wish that GMC hadn't accepted the money from Obama years ago, I feel like that was a unfair deal to the American taxpayer. This is in no way a reflection on this dealer ship.

The main reason I have such a great time is because of the great customer service provided by Daniel Castillo! He s very attentive to my car needs and my concerns and always repairs and restores my car. I ve never had any problems and can always trust my car in his hands!
I've taken my suburban here for service since I bought it in 2016. The staff are all great. A friendly and professional bunch. They'll explain the service work to be done before getting started and if they find anything they'd recommend getting done they'll come to you with a price estimate before getting started so you can make an informed decision.

Very pleased with the overall experience at Sterling! We started looking at options for a new truck over a year ago. While Gee is a newer team member, he was extraordinarily professional, knowledgeable, persistent (but not pushy), and attentive to detail. He worked the deal and administrative details remotely so that we ended up spending minimal time at the dealership to close the deal. I will absolutely recommend him and the Sterling team to customers in the market for a Buick or GMC vehicle.

Dennis was very helpful and came right outside to look anf make sure we were talkin about the right part before purchasing and then sent it right on over to the shop i use! Very helpful and in and out in less than 10 mins!

This location is clean and orderly, and the technicians are nice and easy going. I would say the quality of work and service is high. The downside is that both times I've scheduled a morning appointment for an oil change, I ended up waiting about 2 hours. There were also issues with paying with rewards points, and the checkout staff wasn't exactly nice about it. All in all, not terrible, but I'd rather go some place else where the final interaction I have with staff doesn't leave me feeling bummed and judged after I've paid.

My past year of experience with Sterling Auto Group has honestly been great...up until recently having to deal with sales rep Joshua Ruda.
If you are one who has questions about anything as far as your car deal, ask one of the other employees. They are patient, kind, and know a thing about customer service and how to treat people. As a woman buying a car, I make sure to ask questions if there is something I don't understand. And this seemed to bother Joshua every time I had a question.
What I've mostly gotten from Josh (especially from phone conversations) was a feeling of being rushed (especially in making or going with a decision he thought was best), him having a defensive attitude and arguing with me and/or talking over me when I'm not agreeing with what he is saying or when I had questions about it, him being very short with me in our conversations, him threatening to "take the car back" if I didn't do what he needed to be done when he needed it to be done as far as signing papers, and the fact that his attitude and tone of voice comes off as rude and being bothered when I called or even asked questions about my car dealings with the dealership.
Because of this, I initially felt that there was something shady and dishonest with him and the car deal anyway. Especially when he called me to come back up there to sign some papers that he had "forgotten" to let me sign after a couple of days of me already driving off with the car. And then two more times after that, I was called up there yet again. The last two times I was told that it was because of the finance company. It may have been, but I really believe that something else was going on. I couldn't help but feel like I was being taken advantage of, especially after going over the contract and the numbers myself. Something didn't seem right.
I've had two cars from Sterling so far. First car deal experience went great. Cody Weiss and the finance woman (can't remember her name) was very informative, helpful, patient, answered questions I had, and I got the car that I wanted. The second time I needed a car I went back to Sterling because of that great experience I had. I ended up getting the car I wanted. But due to my experience with Joshua Ruda, (and also being called to come back up to the dealership for the third time about papers to sign because the loan wasn't finalized like they told me) after fifteen days, I just gave the car back. This back and forth situation with going to the dealership, with the added rudeness from Josh was just too much.
Two days later, I go to another dealership here in town and end up getting a car with no problems or frustrations. This dealer was very helpful, honest, and answered any questions I'd had. Even showed me his computer that explained the deal and how each number came about. And the crazy thing is that the new dealership went through the same finance company that Joshua at Sterling was working with. But with the new dealership, the loan was approved and FINALIZED within TWO days. And to top it off, I ended up getting a way better deal that saved me so much more money overall, with a lower monthly payment, lower interest rate, and with a dealer that has my best interests at hand. He is also very helpful with any problems i have had or that may have come up with the car.
My experience with getting a car this second time around at Sterling Auto Group was completely horrible and frustrating thanks to Joshua Ruda. How you treat your customers can be very impactful. Hopefully Joshua Ruda learns how important that this is soon before another customer is turned away and another potential business is loss.
The vehicle I found was exactly what I wanted. It is a new 2018 demonstrator that had a little over 4000 miles on it, and I believe I got a reasonably good deal. The vehicle equipment tag on it indicated a date of 2/18/2018. Apparently the oil had not been changed in over a year. HMMMM!!! I purchased in on 3/1/2019.The sales person is Rick Vernon Jr., and is very likeable and willing to help. I would recommend him to any of my friends. In the paperwork the finance guy Ernesto knows his stuff, but belabors sales pitches on additional coverages and said he had to go through everything in great speedy detail. I had to use some firm conversational tactics to convince him to belay that. Perhaps the dealer could have a waiver that the client could sign for those who are not interested in the additional warranties. I bought a GMC because I thought there is a high confidence of reliability in the product. His presentation bordered on the likelihood that the product would have a high confidence of failure in order to get me to purchase overage on electronic bells and whistles. I think he was doing just what the boss required him to do.
We are extremely pleased with the experience that we received from Gee and everyone with Sterling!! They went above and beyond to sell us our new Envision!
Tried scamming me. First said brake hydraulic cylinder was bad, it wasn't. 11340 miles later brakes are still good and Christian Brothers automotive says they are fine. Then they did warranty work for an oil seal on engine they said AC was leaking. I had just drove back from Virginia with ac going the whole way. Ice cold bull$$it. To replace oil seal have to pull motor in other words the forgot to disconnect and damaged my hose. Worst service ever

Went for an oil change and when they gave me my car back, i got in the car to find the glove box uninstalled. I notified them and they put it back together. But it seems loose and they gave me my car dirty from the interior and exterior. No pride whatsoever.
Be prepared to wait. Ended up getting a great car, we needed a van after recently having a 3rd child, but service here is SO SLOW. The first day we went in it took forever for a salesman to come talk to us so we left after about 30 minutes. The next time we came in they were admittedly short staffed, and the salesman we were working with was going back and forth between us and 2 other clients. We knew exactly what we wanted, but were still there for 7 hours with our 1 week old son. Even though we were the only clients there with kids and knew what car we wanted going in, we were still the very last ones to be helped and finally were able to purchase our car right before closing.
The staff was really nice, efficient, and caring. Overall great experience.
