My truck broke down Monday night, December 30, after the service department was closed. I left my truck parked in the parking lot at work. I rented a car from the airport to drive home an hour away. I returned to work the next morning (New Years Eve) and had my truck towed to Sterling GMC while I stayed at work. Sterling GMC was the closest GMC dealer. I called the dealership to explain what the problem was with my truck and was initially told by the receptionist in the service department that I would need an appointment for the service and that the next available appointment was on Friday because of the holiday. I scheduled the appointment and hung up.

However, a few minutes later, I received a phone call from Chance in the service department. My truck was being dropped off by the tow truck and he called me to find out what the problem was with it. I explained to him what was going on with the truck (I believed my starter or alternator was going out) and he told me he would try to get to it as soon as possible, but to keep in mind it was New Years Eve. About 2 hours later, he called and told me that the mechanic ran the diagnostic on the truck and found several lose connections on the power supply to the battery and that alternator and starter were fine. I personally replaced my battery a few months prior and apparently did a poor job of it. The truck would be ready to go shortly.

I was / am extremely grateful to Chance and Sterling GMC that they were able to squeeze my truck in on New Years Eve without an appointment and then were honest enough that the only repair fees I had to pay was the initial diagnostic fee. I was expecting it to be much worse. In fact, I was so pleasantly surprised that I asked Chance to go ahead and do the major tune up that needed to be done and that I was avoiding to do. I figured Chance and this dealer showed me their character and honesty and I would be able to trust their work. I was able to return my rental car earlier than expected, which saved me money and I was picked up at the airport by the shuttle service and got my truck back 3-4 days earlier than expected (because of the holiday).

Each employee I contacted during my brief visit at Sterling were polite, professional and approachable. When its time to have my truck serviced again, or when I am in the market to buy a new one, I will definitely return to Sterling even if it is a little out of my way. I was that impressed.

The ONLY reason I am giving two stars is because the service side has been wonderful. The sales side on the other hand... anything to make a buck. To start, before I bought my used vehicle I asked multiple times about Bluetooth capability concerning music and was assured over and over it had it. Since only test driving the car, I didn t bother to connect and check it out for myself. I buy the car and guess whose car doesn t have music Bluetooth capability?? Mine!! Frustrating but not the end of the world. Until two days later when my brakes completely give out and I almost wreck into a vehicle. My rotors were completely warped when they sold me the car. I could ve been badly injured or even died had I needed to quickly stop on the highway or somewhere with higher speed limits. Service did fix this for free, and as mentioned before the service side has been wonderful. The point is, the vehicle should not have even been sold like that. Rotors get fixed, and everything should be smooth sailing from there, right? WRONG. Both key fobs die in a matter of two weeks following my rotor replacements. I did get charged for one of them. I had not even had the car a month and had multiple issues already. The brakes still act up every once in a while even now, months later. Well today I have finally had it. I take my car to go get an inspection as my registration is about to expire. Guess who failed? That s right. Me. The window tint was too dark. I have not done a single thing to my tint since I have purchased, so it was sold to me with illegal tint. I had to drive across town to the dealership to have it stripped off. One of the selling points for my car was that it was already tinted and now it no longer has that. The amount of nonsense I have put up with is not worth it. They don t care about your safety when selling you a used vehicle. They just want to make a quick buck. I wish I could still use the service side, but I refuse to give this dealership a cent more of my money. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from Sterling Cadillac. Your safety, time, and money is so much more important.

Great customer service from Daniel Castillo. He was ready with the paperwork when I dropped my vehicle off. He also kept me updated on the progress being made and provided accurate costs for additional work I had done. I'll keep bringing my vehicle back to Sterling.

Technically this wasn't at sterling subaru, but rather it was at sterling auto group parts desk.

I came in to get some subaru super coolant because I knew I was a little low, and would be driving to west virginia soon. I got a jug of distilled water for it, but kept forgetting to mix and add it before I left. The heat wasn't feeling as hot as it should have, so I stopped for the night, earlier than planned, to make sure I didn't let the temp spike at all.

I got lucky when I found this vehicle for the price I did, and have done nothing but baby it. Premium oils, filters, cleaned regularly, all maintenance logged in the infotainment system to make sure things are done when they should be. Oil change, new air and oil filter, and new tires within the first week. A new set of wiper blades within the first month. I'm less than 8 weeks into owning the nicest and newest vehicle I've ever had. So when I started diluting the coolant, and saw that it was the old green instead of the new blue that I had specifically asked for, both by its name "super coolant" and by mentioning that it was blue as well as asking if it was the blue kind before I paid, I was a bit irritated that I was in a position that my only choice was to mix the green into the blue since I was no where near near a subaru dealership.

I haven't made it back from my trip yet, but I will be calling soon to tell them what happened. In order to get my coolant back to normal I'm going to have to flush the system. I had asked how much that would cost while I was there since I didn't know what the previous owner might have done with the coolant, and it was in the 190 area.

I'm not paying 200 to remedy being sold the wrong product after clearly asking for something else, and having to use wrong product when it was the only option. Still probably over 100 just for the coolant at their store since the blue only come premixed, and my system holds 8.2 quarts. Even buying online it's around 20/gallon, and that may or may not include shipping. So at best, if they wont flush and fill my system to fix their mistake, I'm still looking at over 60 + the original 30 to purchase the green they sold me + time and effort, all to achieve the original goal of topping off the coolant with oem blue.

I bought a pre-owned GMC Sierra from another dealer who did not give me a proper orientation with the truck. I stopped at Sterling and asked if someone could help me learn some of the towing features of the truck and Daniel gladly helped me out!

I took a Cadillac Escalade with 65000 miles on it to this dealership and told them the front struts are bad it is really bouncy. They kept it for two complete days just to tell me "yes the front struts are bad" and then wanted to charge me $2000 dollars to replace them. I have never had a vehicle that the struts went bad after just 65000 miles. They do not care and offer no assistance except telling me to call Cadillac. Now pay the $179 dollars to get your car back after i told them what the problem was to begin with. We have been to other Cadillac dealerships and they bend over backwards to help you. Not this one!! Rude! Definitely not the Cadillac way. If i could give a negative rating i would!! Was planning on buying a 2020 GMC 2500 diesel but I will definitely go elsewhere to purchase and as for service i will take it to Tom Light across the highway.

When I got home and looked at the receipt, I realized I'd been charged for my oil change. When I bought the truck I got the package that included free lifetime oil changes when I bring my truck in. So I called up, no big deal, I'm sure they can take it off and refund my card. They said they'd call me back when they come up with a solution, never got a call back. So I call again the following day and am told they're not sure if they can refund my card but if not they'll put a note to give me my next one free. What? I bought the package that I was told included lifetime oil changes! So then I get told that my package only includes 6 oil changes and that "sometimes the people in finance can be misleading about that part." I'm hunting for my paperwork and I really hope I can find it because I wasn't misled, I was lied to when I bought the truck. The service people have been nice enough, but I really don't like paying for things that I shouldn't have to and that's absolutely what happened.
