Older: I would give the food 4 stars as it is pretty good pub food. My biggest complaint is that their website prices are almost half of what they charge. An $8 cheeseburger actually costs $12. So, after ordering over the phone, I was a bit surprised what the carry cost. While the cheeseburger was decent, it wasn't worth $12. The bait and switch is a problem, but the food isn't bad.

UPDATE: I heard the pub was under new ownership so we stopped by and bought a burger and it was good and more appropriately priced so I bumped it a star and will revisit.

Awesome service, the server's are very accommodating the new owner Matt seems very anxious to please the customers. A little hidden hometown Pub a block from the ferry line wirh music, TV monitors for games, trivia even poker night. Also pool tables, something every night.

Great atmosphere, super friendly staff, burgers above par for bar food.. the mushroom burger with bacon is where it's at. Lots of date night activities through the week too.

The inside has an odor like a bar that has someone that smoking in it.

The best food I've found near Tacoma. I'd say probably the hidden jem of the area.

Look, this is a solid local dive, plus. What I mean is that it has all the best qualities of your local dive plus some really hit-the-spot grub, great staff, strong drinks, pool, entertainment on select nights... just a great spot.

Friendly atmosphere, great servers and bartenders, the family/kid friendly hours are a huge plus and the prices are small enough to not break the bank and make this a good pub to check out whether for drinks or to sit down and have some food.

I wanted to give 4 1/2 stars but not v a choice.
The food was good and people were properly spaced.

Absolutely terrible customer service. Waited 20min just to order. Sat at the bar for another 20min without anyone even saying a word. Worst place I've been in WA hands down.

The food was good. The service was alright. If you do have issue with too much oil, let them know. My food came out with some extra oil in it. But I did enjoy tho. I just got rid of the excess oil.

Great food and people. You can bring your Dog and hangout outside and they will even bring a bowl of water for your dog. Cant go wrong here.

Multiple bathrooms regular customers act as if it's only one bammin for u to come just of ur skin color still ordered was hungry she basically rushing us to order look a husband and wife like my situation we never order separate so idk what they problem was b the chicken and cheese pizza was tasty a one of a kind just beware of Mom and Pop's place

Pub Burger with Bacon. It's all you need to make your day better

This was my second time coming here with my family. First time was in 2012 and was disappointed. We decided to try again years later and even more disappointed the second time. The customer service was horrible, the food was overpriced and flavorless, and the wait for the food was ridiculous. Add the extra irritations and errors made to our food, it was an overall fail. Never coming back.

Decent sandwiches for take out. Didn't done in, but place looks like a standard hole in the wall bar. Cheap furniture and decorations, consider it a dive bar.

The food was ok service good. No more foccacia sandwich. Think its a better place to have beers and play pool then eat, if thats your thing.

It's a dive folks, pure and honest..nothing fancy, but surely fun offering great drinks and service! We flew in for the holidays and our family brought us here for a quick night out (close to base). While the joint was EMPTY, we still had a great time! Comfy environment and the bartenders/servers/DJ that was working that night were on point!

A great place for a sandwich and some beer. The chili is definitely good. Try that as a side to "The Forge".

My wife and I stopped in here while waiting for the ferry to Anderson Island. They served us within 15 minutes. The breakfast sandwich was excellent and served up to go.

Take it for a local this is the best food in stielacoom. It has a small town atmosphere where many of the resident of the town come to enjoy a great meal cooked in house and made to order. Everyday of the week has a new spacial from meatloaf to stake. They also even have ice cream! I enjoy my food in the bar area but have used the family area with my kids. But if a small little bar to grab a drink at night with out the usual bar atmosphere and more a home town feel where people come togeather to have fun is what you are looking for than this is the place. Stop in day or night you will be greated warmly and treated like you belong.

Been coming here with my mum since I was 7, grew up in this town and celebrated many things at this pub, great service and food, especially the mushroom burger and soups.

Great atmosphere and great simple dining. Staff is engaged, friendly, and very attentive. I recommend this comfortable corner pub a d grill for anyone that wants a great spot to enjoy with a group of friends.

The service from the manager I talked to is poor and rude when she is trying to be nice and polite, (hate to see her in a bad mood what would have happened to me.) Because of what an Employee said. This was my first time in and the managers would not even take an order to go. I left hungry, so I have no clue if the food is any good plus I won'tbe back. I won't tell anyone go there too. I am telling my friends from Pierce County going to and from Anderson Island my experience. Hate to have others be treated this way.

Best pub in the area. The food is delicious and a decent variety. It is family friendly so bring your kids and grab some drinks. They will offer water bowls for your pets outside if you want to bask in the glorious sun. Karaoke nights are my favorite, the staff are always friendly and helpful, not to mention keep your drinks coming.

Food is small portions and very expensive for what you get. Service was reasonable for a dive bar. I will probably not go back.

This is a quaint little place with great food and a greater atmosphere. Every night there are different activities such as open mic, pool tournament, etc. The Thursday they will begin a Latin night.

WORST SERVICE I VE HAVE EVER GOTTEN.... Stay away and go to any other restaurant. If you want beer good come here... Food STAY AWAY OVERPRICED AND GLACIALLY SLOW SERVICE WITH EVERY EXCUSE IN THE BOOK. The worst part is that the OWNER was bringing our food out with not a word to say like.... we are sorry for the inconvenience.... or anything!! Just limped through the service so we could leave and have another poor fool take our seat.!!!!!! STAY AWAY!!!!

Was normal tavern food. Our waitress was very nice.

Very friendly. The inside is that of a traditional neighborhood tavern. Outdoor patio is awesome and has some views of the Sound.

Burgers are always yummy, lots of fries. Deep fried mushrooms are the best, however portion size on these is not enough for the price.

Love the selection of beer and atmosphere. And its air conditioned on this hot days.

What's the definition of insanity? Yes, I've gone back several times because I live within walking distance but it keeps being a bad experience. If you want a beer or nachos or a burger or to play pool this is the place. If you're going on the ferry and you want a sandwich, your options are few. We've had sandwiches, dinner and have been underwhelmed to say the least. This is a before episode of Bar Rescue. It could be so much better. I expressed my dissatisfaction to the owner and she could not have cared less. I had hoped for more.

The blue cheese burger with sweet potato fries and ranch is A+++. Great service and welcoming environment. Highly recommended
