No idea what the number of days is, but if you renew a registration and never receive it, and "don't contact them in the number of days" you have pay a fee for them to do what they were supposed to and give it to you at a location. I renewed mine during the covid shut down, never received it, and have to go to a location and pay them to give it to me. This is why no one likes the BMV. You have to pay them twice for them to do what they were supposed to do originally.
I would like to give you zero stars. The title dep6had no phone to reach anyone with a title issue they take your number and claim that they will call yet I was calling every 2 days because I never heard from anyone. When someone finally called they gave a bad fax number. Then when we tried to reach someone else from the bmv they claim they didn't know of a fax number
These people get on the phone and take calls no absolutley nothing and give bad information
Representative was great very patient and helpful ! Great experience !
This place is totally ridiculous i was on hold for over 20 min an still no customer rep would answer your recorded message said 20 min also where is the fax number to this place so my insurance company can send u proof of insurance
If you have title work to do don't waste your time going downtown on a Monday. They don't handle title work at this location. Monday is my only day off and BMV is closed. What a joke.
No one at the Indianapolis BMV knows what they are doing.
After THREE MONTHS of dealing with them almost EVERY BUSINESS DAY, they claim they have never received documents that have been faxed to them THIRTY times!
We are now forced to MAIL copies to them daily.
I've always known their reputation for ineptitude, but this is beyond insane!

Calling them is pointless. Went into branch who said to call downtown, after waiting an hour. Did so, call center, after waiting 43 minutes, said they don't know where info is, can go into 100 N. Senate to find out. Advised branch said to call, and asked for phone number. She said, they don't have phone number. Asked for supervisor, said they will call back in 24-48 hrs. Exactly what good does that do? During covid and instead of handling problems over phone, they insist you come in and wait forever to get no one who has an answer. I'm still searching for my title that was sent direct to branch from dealership. i have proof they got it, but they have no idea where it is.
Are you kidding me State of Indiana. Five calls all hang ups because the left doesn't know what the right is doing. Unintelligent conversations where as the receiving parties both at BMV in city and central calling are unwilling to assist in a State's rules and regulations. Very poor...licensed and registered in three other states and NEVER had this much work or follow up to license or register a vehicle. Someone help here because this is costing me time from work, penalties to auto insurance due to delays besides frustration.
Maybe this is a review of a policy and not the particular branch, but I was at a branch 1 1/2 months ago to change my address and get a new driver's license and register to vote in my new county. My new vehicle registration that I just got still lists my old county with my new address. When calling the 800 # they refused to make any changes on the phone even though I had been into the branch previously and shown the documents they required, they would not even listen to me. They expect me to take more of my time to come into the branch office so they can correct their mistake. I'm sure the paperwork they did earlier is available somewhere, they are just too lazy to to and find it.
They are not open on Saturdays!! Google and BMV'S website falsely state this branch locations hours as 830 am to 1230pm on Saturday.

Horrible service. You will wait on the phone on hold for a long time and then they will hang up on you. People are hardened and have no manners or human connectivity. It's another government office where it seems like everyone there hates their job. They need to be trained in basic customer service.
Customer service is rude and refused to help me on two different occasions. Asked to check on the status of an application, did not have a tracking number and was told that because I had no tracking number they would not even look for the application. They do not require tracking numbers or recommend tracking numbers on their web site or paper forms. Yet they refuse to even ask the actual office that reviews the applications to look for for your application unless you have one. Oh and if I ever receive my application returned to me, whenever that will be, they will conveniently charge a late application fee when I have to re-apply after holding onto my application for 4 weeks or more. Thanks Indiana for requiring for "security purposes" that everyone mail their only physical copy of important documents to the central branch instead of local branches accepting applications. I filed complaints with the attorney general and contacted my local state representatives about my horrible experience. If you have a similar bad experience you should do the same. Worst customer service I have ever had. Worse than even phone or cable companies.
Location is an absolute joke. I renewed my registration 5/4 and it still hasn t come in the mail. I ve reached out to this location multiple times and they just give me a runaround.
This is the most unorganized office I have ever experienced. This department doesn't even have a active supervisor to make sure things are running smoothly if they do they need to be fired. I sented them a certified court order title packet application with the money required . Which cost me a lot of money. And still haven't received my title yet. Data entry doesn't take this long. And slowness is not because of the virus it's been like this for years.i wish I could speak to Peter lacy to ask about there timely and accurate manner of this office.
No stars. I paid my online registration renewal on 11/4, online site states my sticker was mailed on 11/6. 11/16, no sticker. My mother paid hers online a week after and she received hers sticker way before 14 days. We live at the same address. My registration expired on 11/14. Been on hold online and phone, 30 min wait. This an inconvenience and very frustrating. I did my part. The one star will go to Dominique who assisted me with my issue online chat. Luckily I work for a law enforcement agency.
Indiana BMV encourages online plate renewals. Today is Saturday and the site has been down most of the day. As usual totally unreliable website. Making America Great again right.
INDIANA BMV SUCKS I sent in my original documents to the central title branch, the application was delivered by Fedex on 8-17-18 and today is 9-8-18 and still no title. I have called many time's and customer service can only send a escalated email to the central office to find out what is going on with my application. I was told that they don't talk to the people in central title office and the only to communicate is by sending a escalated request. I have put in 6 escalated request, ask to talk to a supervisor only to be transfer to voicemail over and over. No one knows what is going on with my apllication and nobody is interested in helping. Something needs to done with this department.
Terrible. The WORST contact center I have ever dealt with. Called and chatted several times over the course of two days regarding the same issue, nobody could provide meaningful information, only a cookie cutter response that is undoubtedly read from a script. Absolutely ridiculous.

Indiana s online services are great. However, the employees at the central office give out wrong information. Pinky, Elaine, their supervisor Derrick and many more who refused to identify themselves all told me different things in regard to the same issue. They tried to make up laws in regards to Notarized documents. As someone who has worked for the state of Indiana and dealt regularly with notarized documents, I was appalled that these individuals would lie about Indiana code. Pinky told me that if I had issue with the code she created then I needed to speak with the state police. Why would they be who I would speak to? Legislators are who you want to talk to. Derrick transferred me to the legal team. I was on hold for 20 mins when someone picked up the phone and immediately hung up. When I called the call center again, the lady put me on another hold for 10 mins that put me through to a random voicemail box. I m disgusted with the people the state has employed. They made me repeat myself more than a dozen times and no answer was ever provided. When I asked to speak to a supervisor, they said they were unavailable but after calling back moments later and finally convincing the person to let me speak to someone else, she put me in touch with her supervisor who refused to identify himself as a supervisor. It wasn t till the next call that Elaine informed me that he was in fact a supervisor. I spent over an hour on the phone either being hung up on or lied to. Good luck to anyone who needs to speak to anyone who actually knows what s going on.
Central call center is completely unhelpful, wait on hold for extended period to end up not being able to speak to a human. Local #'s not listed, have to go into the branch just to get questions answered. If it were a business comcast would have it beat in customer service (which is saying something)
