Staff are friendly, breakfast is delicious, but hotel should mark steps better.

Watch out for the customer and also great for the kitchen

Excellent location. 10 mins from centre on foot. Excellent facilities.

At a tram stop from the Florence-Maria Novella station and a 5-minute walk from the Cascine area, a cozy hotel, large comfortable quiet rooms, excellent Wi-Fi, impeccable conference room. The only flaw is the extreme penumbra of the reception areas of the hall and the bar: you feel the need to go out into the street every now and then. Lunch and buffet breakfast that goes back to the tasty and simple Tuscan cuisine. However, coffee and cappuccino are barely drinkable.

We were staying for 5 nights and we liked it a lot in general. We went to visit and walk the city on foot so the location was a very important point; We found it maybe a bit out of the center to be totally comfortable and avoid public transportation.
The hotel has a very careful decoration and atmosphere and a perfect cleaning!
The staff very very friendly and willing to help you in everything. They constantly seek to greet you and lend a hand in anything.
The room, perfect! The very generous dimensions, has a large bedroom area with TV, with desk, minibar, a sofa and kettle area. It also has a large mirror and trunk area with dressing.
The bathroom, immaculate and spacious, very well lit, with a large bathtub, hairdryer and magnifying mirror. The only one is the low water pressure and unstable temperature.
The wifi signal very good and powerful. The only thing is that you have to re-register every 24 hours.
Breakfast quite complete and very good attention. We only miss some more sausage and cheese and, above all, bread with salt.
A highly recommended option at a good price with very good service and attention.

Location is a bit far from city center. The hotel is ok. Rooms are fine, breakfast a bit disappointing for the category/price.

I came to this hotel with my husband during a gate one tour. I was a bit reluctant at first because the hotel was "sight unseen" (never heard of the brand) but due to the quality of everything else with the tour group I knew this hotel would be first class. The hotel rooms were very cozy and modern. They have a very friendly staff and sometimes they provided a universal|foreign power charger for our cell phones. The view of the hotel is Cityview. Depending on where your room is. They also have a bidet in the bathrooms. We had a happy hour drink "spritza" (sp) in the lobby that came with a healthy portion of chips, snacks and chewables to have with your drink. I must say I was impressed. The lobby is very upscale. There is always someone there anticipating or asking what you need. The banquet room food service was excellent. We absolutely adore the food and I actually ate every bite on my plate. Try the strawberry tart if they still have it. The hotel is centrally located and you can walk to the train station and shopping very easily. I specially love walking around at night. I totally recommend this hotel to everyone and regret not taking any pictures of the actual hotel room because it was very beautiful and immaculate.

A very comfortable classy hotel located very close to the river with easy access and a walkable distance or a short metered taxi (around 10e) to the main tourist area. . The rooms are quiet with a comfortable bed and good facilities. Most important in Italy (we're on a tour staying at quite a few hotels) the AIR CONDITIONING WORKS.
The breakfast is very good however the after hours restaurant on the ground floor is excellent - very reasonable pricing and first class service. Definitely recommended.

The hotel is well located. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, although the decoration can be improved. The breakfast had a good spread of things to choose from and the staff was very friendly and professional. It is a good option to stay in Florence either for work or leisure.

decentralized great hotel for car parking, strategically positioned to reach whichever way the center of Florence. Negative note the smell of damp that pervades the basement after showers. Friendly staff, knowledgeable and kind. Available to every request. Quality food. Possibility to park your car in a car park at a price of 15 a day, still cheaper than all the others guarded parking lots and not. clean, tidied rooms. Recommended

My experience at this facility is absolutely positive in every respect. I can only attribute the maximum score to the staff for their availability and courtesy. Excellent cleaning in all areas of the hotel, room nicely decorated and equipped with every comfort, comfortable bed, satisfactory breakfast and strategic position.

We stayed here on 24 June 2017, hotel really good and from main train station you must take tram to reach this hotel will cost you 1 euro, you can walk if climate complimented ,English speaking staff and good break fast in the morning.My over all experience is good.

They upgraded our room which was lovely. Sitting in the bar sipping on wine after a long day before dinner was lovely to say the least.

It is just that the hotel has not much personal touch. I would have give This hotel mich higher rating but front desk person just gave us bad information. We wanted to go to "The Mall" where is the outlet for high end products. The person call in for private driver and asked for 250 to stay there for 4 hours.

we later found out, there is a bus leaving from train station every 30 minutes and back. It cost 7.50 per person one way. There is even another bus leave every hour but cost a little less.

We had ask him repeately is there any public transport such as train or bus. But he kept assure us there is no other option (not just best option) Luckily we didnt take the deal and search on internet.

We had an exceptional stay at the StarHotel Michelangelo, Florence. We were most impressed with the warmth and pleasant reception we received from the entire staff, especially Maddelaine who was exceptional hostess by welcoming us throughout our stay and the front desk staff too. We were so impressed that we booked our next hotel in Rome at the Star Hotel Metropole.

What a wonderful hotel. The beds and pillows are amazing. The room and bath are a very nice size. Plus the breakfast area was well stocked and service throughout was exceptional. The Starhotels is a must stay when in Florence.

We only used conference space, but it felt like a nice place

Staff a extremely friendly and helpful. Hotel was clean. We were 2 adults and 2 kids in a family room which was spacious and clean but the bathroom was super small. Overall a good stay. Breakfast wasnt the greatest

Somewhat gloomy entrance, nice rooms, he even gave us a junior suite. Unfortunately, the room went out on the main street, so the window, (2 windows in a row) you could not leave open, was much too loud. The breakfast is in the dark basement, rich but of course Italian. If you like bread for breakfast, you will be looking for good food for a long time. But all in all beautiful hotel with large rooms and everything was very clean. Along the river there are about 15 minutes walk to the old town.
