Not bad. Wide and impressive. It appears along the road. Next to it is the transit of the tramway at door height to the lawn. Friendly but discreet staff. Most definitely the older Lord attached to the bar in the Hole. Modern, aseptic, essential environment. Clean spaces .. excellent pastries and good breakfast. Near the SMN station and easily accessible from the city center. Medium-high prices.

The outside of the hotel is very unassuming. First impression is not a hotel of fancy opulence. Inside the lobby however and in your room is very nice quality. The front desk employees are friendly and helpful and will get a cab for you within minutes if needed. The bar is open and elegant with an excellent attendant. The breakfast was delicious with a variety of egg, beans, cheeses, cereals, yogurt, fresh fruit, pastries, bagels/toast and delicious croissants. They prepared delicious cappuccino at request. Good brew coffee and juices. Our room was a double-twin with a window facing the alley but cute Italian apartments lined the view. The beds were a little too firm but the linens were soft and clean. Bathroom had ample room and decorated well. Very clean. We purchased our vacation package from Costco and we were very satisfied with these accomodations. The location is close enough to walk to the famous sites and quiet enough to get away from the city/tourist noises. Loved it!
Tip: Download the "itTaxi" app. It uses the Uber interface and is easier to get a cab back to your hotel late at night instead of trying to flag one down. Most taxis will drive past you because they are on route to pick up someone using the "itTaxi" app!
ATTENTION ... ATTENTION ... I HAVE BEEN IN THIS HOTEL IN THE MONTH OF FEBRUARY, DURING THE NIGHT, A DEPENDENT OF THE HOTEL I NEWLY CHARGED THE AMOUNT OF THE ROOM, FOR LUCK HAVING THE ALERT ON THE CELL I HAVE DISPUTED THE MORNING AT THE RECEPTION THEIR ERROR. AFTER DIFFERENT PHONE CALLS WITH THE PERSONNEL ADMITTING THEIR ERROR, I ASSURED A QUICK SOLUTION TO THE PROBLEM. TODAY 31 MAY STILL HAVE NOT PROVED. AND CONTINUE TO TAKE ME AROUND ..........
A modern and chic hotel in Florence. The hotel restaurant is part of the Eataly chain and offers good food. The downside is that it is a bit distant from the Duomo and the central part of Florence. To get there you have to walk for 20 minutes aprox.
Modern hotel, but loveless in detail. From a Saturday z.b. only breakfast until 10, that's close. Staff easily irritated if our friendly demand. Otherwise coming before.
Wonderful hotel just behind St. Pietro Vatican. Superb rooms and a great breakfast. Staff is cooperating and nice. Around hotel there are several mini-marts and small pizza shops or Turkish restaurants. Some Indian restaurants too. Just cross the street and enter Vatican.
We were greeted with a full smile and although we were ahead of time at check in we were given a large and bright room. Well soundproofed with kettle to keep us entertained with coffee and tea. The hotel is very central and in any case there is a tram stop underneath and numerous buses leave from there. In front of the park of the farms for walks or runs in the cool of the trees.
Very nice staff and great location if you arrive / depart by train. In 20 minutes on foot you reach the center without difficulty. The hotel lobby is very pretty and must have been renovated more recently than the rooms that seemed older to me. Great breakfast!
Nice location, train and bus nearby, nice, away from the hustle and bustle. The clean and comfortable immaculate rooms. Very good varied breakfast and the attention of the excellent concierge staff.
Although it is far from the center, we got a very good surprise with this hotel. The rooms more than acceptable and excellent service. The only thing: we warned that we would arrive at 11 am and we had to wait until 15 for the room.
A stone's throw from the center, excellent structure. Recent and well maintained it is a four-star hotel of excellent quality. Excellent breakfast and great variety.
Visited on the occasion of a meeting, it offers valuable common areas and aesthetic attention to detail. Polite and efficient staff. Valuable light lunch, impeccable service.
Nice looking modern hotel. Good sized rooms but hardwood floors make it loud when people are upstairs. Wifi in lobby is slow and really is not useable in rooms. Staff is friendly. Breakfast is good. Probably a good location for business travel but a little too far (20 minute walk to Duomo) for tourists.
The staff are friendly, efficient and helpful. The rooms are clean though it smells of mould in the bath room all the time. The breakfast has a small selection of hot food. There is an another menu you can order from as an extra. The WiFi is very slow, if you want to have a better signal and speed you have to pay for it. The room has a very nice coffee maker but they do not provide the coffee pods anymore. It's not a bad location 20 minutes walk or 1 stop on the tram.
Very nice hotel inside. I've been there for a conference, but it's beautiful. Very friendly staff, a stone's throw from the historic center of Florence and from the Santa Maria Novella train station.
The hotel is in a good location both for the center and for Oltrarno, easily reachable also from the highway. Very well kept structure, really perfect cleaning. Very spacious, bright and tastefully furnished rooms, equipped with all comforts. Excellent buffet breakfast with fresh products (quality Eataly). The fitness room is also well structured. The staff is very courteous and knowledgeable. Two goodies: the chocolates on the pillow for the night and the Illy espresso machine in the room. To come back for sure.
Hotel was clean. Breakfast was ok. Overall good experience. Sorry for the 1 star I did not post that, not sure how it happened since I did not do a rating at all as we just left the hotel.
the rooms for events comply with covid regulations, every single detail of the structure (as regards the events) is fully functional, and the environment is very pleasant. the location is at least perfect, along the avenues, for meetings they offer coffee, snacks (quality) and juice ... in short, on every aspect I think it is one of the best hotels to take a room for a business meeting, really satisfied.
For a religious meeting the Michelangelo hotel hosted us with a warm welcome, Meeting & Conference room was very comfortable, bright and spacious. A great place for events of this type.
Albergo molto bello, le stanze sono spaziose e pulite, la colazione ottima. Il centro e la stazione di S. Maria Novella si raggiungono in circa un quarto d'ora a piedi.
Very nice hotel, pretty central and reasonably priced. Very friendly staff even when, out of curiosity, you pull the anonymous looking cord in the bathroom. Yes it triggers the alarm and a couple of minutes later you have reception knocking on your door, which does somewhat spoil your shower and leave you feeling a little foolish
Truly a beautiful hotel, the rooms are wonderfully large and welcoming, the staff is professional, kind and welcoming. A really nice place to spend the Florentine nights.
Excellent for location, close to the station but not in the ZTL area. In front it has a tram stop, so well served. Beyond the avenue there are the Cascine and the Theater of the Florentine Maggio Musicale. Great for meeting rooms and organization of meetings.
This is my initial review so it might change as time goes. Because we are on a higher floor it s about 1000 degrees up here (aka at least 80F in our room). I m not sure if this is because of Italian regulations, our own incompetency with the thermostat as foreigners or the case of a broken thermostat but it s is super duper hot up here. My biggest issue with all this is that our room has literally no view. As you can see from the attached picture we have here, there is not-so-beautiful facade of scaffolding with a thick plastic (seemingly dated 2018, artist unknown) covering what I imagine would otherwise be a rather fine view. At 148 for 2 of the nights then ~$ 108- 114 for the other 3 in the offseason (November) I have to say, I m rather hmmmmm about whether or not I m getting ripped off here. Due to the scaffolding blockage on the window we can t get any decent airflow in our room to bring down the Death Valley in July level temperature happening here. The hotel itself is definitely giving off the whole modern/work conference vibe, which is fine. Seems decently quiet when the windows are closed. Everywhere including our room seem clean. I m always a big fan of hard floors like this hotel has because it prevents bed bugs from moving in as well as the gross collection of essences and dirt that carpet collects from its guests. Location-wise the Starhotel Michelangelo is located with easy access to public transportation. Tbh though, the hotel is easily within walking distance of the city center. It s about 15 minutes at a fast clip through neighborhoods (probably 20-25 minutes for slower walkers). Or you can add on another 5 and take the route along the river which is very pretty. Walk if you are capable for sure.
very nice hotel and conveniently located for a city tour through Florence. Just about 1.5km off City Center. Staff is polite and helpfull. Not the cheapest hotel in Florence, but worth the money.
I was there only a few hours waiting for a person in the sitting room at the entrance. It's in a great location, nice and clean inside. The staff very helpful and polite.
Historic hotel for Conventions in Florence. Not very close to the center, but reachable with a pleasant walk. Comfortable, clean rooms. Very comfortable bed. Top breakfast.
