Star Hotel Metropole Review

Superb hotel, good location, good rooms good reception and good breakfast.
At 5 minutes from Termini station this is easily reachable from anywhere and from anywhere, especially the Airoports of Rome both by train and by bus.
There is a direct metro line to the Vatican.

I have been several times in this hotel. Excellent cleanliness, welcoming rooms equipped with all comforts, qualified staff, very close to Termini station. Pleasant environment.

Would highly recommend staying here. The service and breakfast was excellent. The rooms are large and the house keeping has been outstanding. The location is great as you have the train station a stone's throw. Although a more central location would have been good also it would have meant it being noisy and more expensive for a lower star hotel. We found you HAVE to walk everywhere regardless of where you choose to stay

Great staff, rooms and location. Beds are comfortable and sheets of good quality. Bathroom similar quality. Breakfast decent for Italian standards. Quality but no change in options. Americans will not enjoy eggs which are euro style, somewhat runny and made with olive oil which puts a unique taste to them.. Front desk helpful with tickets and taxi. Workout room is basically a bike and machine and barbells for a small person.. Enjoyed overall.

Excellent hotel in central location, close to Termini station. I went to a conference, it seemed well organized with multiple rooms. Coffee breaks and lunch were also good.

I spent a very romantic moment with my wife in your hotel. Breakfast were very very pleasant and the suite was wonderful. The staff was very attentive with us.

The hotel was amazing. It was clean, very luxurious, and the staff was very friendly. The hotel is located in a prime location that allows you to take the metro or walk to all attractions very easily.

I caught a snack in the suite, and I almost froze it all day thinking it was sleeping in the freezer for two whole days. It was cold because it was cold, but I could not sleep. On the last day, I asked him to change the room, so I did not understand if he had to change it because he was cold. There are a number of people who say that it is cold because of the review below, but it is not really overbought, but the padding wearer is also cold and the floor is freezing. Real regret. It turns out that 6:00 pm to 12:00 pm I only had 6 hours of central heating. Why did not you tell me? I knew I would die cold in the morning. It is the scariest secret of this hotel that we have known for three days.

The hotel is very nice and clean, however the restaurant is not very good and the servers are rude.

Excellent service, very nice rooms complete with any comfort. WiFi service for customers. Restaurant room (where I only ate breakfast) very large and the waiters are able to manage it better.

In the center of Rome, a few steps from the famous Trevi Fountain, it is a quiet and refined hotel with kind staff ... However, they do not prepare breakfast before the appointed time and for a 4-star hotel, it is not a note of merit, however, overall nice

Amazing hotel! Best location you can ask for as everything is walking distance. The front desk staff were kind and the breakfast staff were absolutely amazing. Would highly recommend this hotel as the room is fairly large with comfortable bed. Could not have asked for a better stay.

Wide, fashionable, beautiful!
The hair dryer was very similar to the one I used in Japan and I was relieved. (Dryers in other rooms do not know because they do not look similar to Japan)
The closet is also wide
And it is something that hot water is put in the bathtub
I was very grateful to the moving fatigue.

I stayed for 4 days in Metropole, and had some wonderfull days.
Rooms are good (but a little bit dark), breakfast was extended and the staff very helpfull.
The selection on the TV-program is not very wide.

Hotel was clean and nice. Bed was not as comfortable as I would have liked. Also the breakfast buffet was not to our liking.

Beautiful hotel in the center of Rome ideal for ceremonies, refresher courses, debates and meetings of all kinds. From the terraces to 'top floor you can enjoy a breathtaking view. friendly and courteous staff ready to accommodate the requests of customers. I went there for a refresher course and everything was organized to perfection. Recommended.

Of course, this is a luxury hotel! Justifies all its stars. Very convenient location. The only thing for which I shot a half star is coffee. He is terrible. It is terrible not only for Italy (and it s generally difficult to find bad coffee), I didn t even drink in Germany))

Very friendly and helpful staff who have provided fantastic support with the repatriation of a family member.

WIFI: Free wifi only works on the first two devices you use to connect to Internet in each room. You couldn't change devices later. If you need to get more devices to be online, you could ask for extra password at the check-in desk (in person). Unfortunely the server was down two nights in a row and we had problem making hotel reservation for future trip in other cities. LOCATION: Close to Termini station, about 5 mins by walking. BREAKFAST: Various choices. No coffee machine, but you could ask from staff around. BATHROOM: Normal size. There is only a small plastic plate separating shower tub and toilet area. Floor got wet easily.

Hotel located a few steps from the Central Station of Rome Termini. Private pay parking is available. Great site for business meetings. All classrooms are spacious and equipped with projector and audio. The two agreed coffeebracks are of good taste and value. The lunch is a bit sparse. For the rest all staff and always very helpful and attentive to the various needs ... so there is no problem that can not be solved quickly. I have not had the pleasure of staying in this hotel directly but the amount of customers is quite remarkable. Certainly for other work events I will choose this site again.

Not the best area but a nice hotel. Very nice staff and overall we felt it was good value.

Guest for a congress I don't judge the economic side. I found the hotel to comply with the assigned stars. I also noticed the welcome in English and Spanish, both of a good standard. Permanent staff in the hall, in the few interactions with the staff I have always found availability and preparation. The room, I think of a higher standard, is large, modern and clean.
Breakfast adequate for offer and quality.
Two marginal notes that affect the experience, probably unfortunate but .. annoying the noise of the lift and, objectively sad, the free wifi offer with speed and traffic limitations. I understand the need to avoid undeclared business use .. but there are more refined systems that don't hurt guests.

The Metropole star hotel is a great property in the heart of Rome. Located near the central station and the opera house, it is ideal for both business and leisure stays. I usually stay for work. The rooms are beautiful and welcoming, the staff available, the breakfast at a 4-star level.

The entire staff was not very nice almost like they were doing you a favor for everything you asked.

Biggest problem was the cleanliness. Two issues..
1) spots all over the bathroom tiles -> disgusting. I was told that the people cleaning the rooms just don't have enough time to clean the floor and they often don't have the "equipment." What does that even mean? This was pretty disgusting to me. If you can see this, imagine all the nastiness you can't see.
2) our room had an odd smell. We were told to keep the window open and the bathroom door closed. Apparently there are a bunch of rooms where this is an issue. When I asked if they tried using bleach in the toilet and in the sink, I was again told that they aren't provided this.

Management clearly sucks at this location.

Breakfast time is pretty good. Selection doesn't seem to vary. I thought it quite unfortunate that you are charged extra for eggs and the like. Why wouldn't guests order this when you don't change up what you present? Compared to other hotels I stayed in during my trip to Italy, this had one of the worst breakfast options.

Saving grace? Staff was very nice. Even the person cleaning our room was very sweet.

Perfectly located 4 blocks from Roma Termini train station. Bed was luxurious and comfortable. Must stay place in Rome.

Great hotel in the centre of Rome. Lovely rooms, great facilities and friendly staff. This hotel is central to everything, has restaurants and conveniences close by and is walking distance to the sights of Rome. Highly recommended.

Conveniently located near the Roma Termini, starhotels Metropole is a cosy hotel with modern finishing and clean rooms. The business center with printer made it easy to get things done. Only grouse is that house keeping tend to forget topping up water and coffee.
Breakfast is same everyday, average fare. Only realise we can ask for cappuccino instead of the bland black coffee on the second last day.

This was a nice place. Right next to the train station and the staff was awesome so was the food. If you go there I suggest trying the pancakes they are really good and the machine that makes them for you is cool.

Excellent accommodation a few steps from Termini and close to the center. The vehicles are also comfortable. Warm and attentive welcome from all the smiling staff. The soundproofed rooms are comfortable, clean and well furnished. Gym, bar, restaurant and several meeting rooms. Conventions and promotions make the quality / price ratio unbeatable, otherwise the prices are in line with the area. Fair breakfast with a good assortment of fresh products and hot dishes, I would have expected a little more (there are only three flavors of fruit juices and the juice is for a fee, one morning the fruit yoghurts were finished, the day next the pancake machine was broken. In any case, a great hotel that I will definitely return to.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Metropole in Rome. the staff was friendly and helpful, the room was very nice and the breakfast buffet was excellent!

This hotel is very luxurious and has big welcoming rooms. The staff are very strict which can either be a good thing or a bad thing. Breakfast is top-notch. The only downside that I can argue about this hotel is that they were high or weren't thinking right when they constructed the glass door in the shower. You need to put water on low, otherwise it will flood the bathroom like Noah's ark because the glass door doesn't even prevent water from spraying out. The location is quite controversial because it depends what you want to do in Rome. For me the location was ok. The best places to be in Rome are by the Pantheon and Trevi Fountain. Lots of good restaraunts, sights, shops around there. I would recommend this hotel.
