Central location near central station. Nice personel. Superior rooms were ok. Bathroom was big and pretty new. Unfortunately, the floor was not cleaned. The bathroom was always well cleaned. Breakfast was o.k. but not very varied. Hotel we can recommend but otherwise.
Avoid, Avoid, Avoid. At first glance the hotel decor looks good but if your room is near an elevator you won t sleep. Door handles falling off, televisions don t work and the breakfast is horrible, bitter coffee, stale bread and biscuits; cold eggs and sour juices. We paid about 300 per night for a so-called VIP experience but every experience was miserable. When complaining managers somehow suggest it was our fault!!!!! I would avoid this hotel and all StarHotels.

It is a hotel to balance the oddly. The advantage is good cleaning. Breakfast buffet only. The disadvantages are many broken and rattling facilities. ;; But it does not do repair well .. Bathroom structure is tiresome. The step kindness is normal. I do not know why I choose to stay here in Rome.

Excellent service. I had an issue with one of the water bottles in the fridge and they sent someone right away with a replacement bottle even though it was late past midnight. The location is great since it is walking distance from Roma Termini. Also you don't have to go far from the front door to find quality restaurants. I will stay here again if I find myself back in Roma. The room feels luxurious and the air conditioning excellent even during 90 degree F summer. Very good hotel considering the price I paid was budget friendly.

Located in the middle between Roma Termini railway station and city center. Colloseum, popular locations, shops, restaurants are in walkable distance. Room was big and clean. Management is responsive. Better then avarage breakfast.

The only drawback! Which was a minor thing but I hope it will help to improve what is already excellent ... turning on the heating if it had been independent would be better, after all everyone has their own habits and needs :) but I repeat " problem which is overshadowed by everything else which is excellence!
The worst breakfast I have every had. The rooms was fine but we paid 14 per day per person (for 5 days) for 'Full American Breakfast' Cold scrambled eggs, stale bread and pastries and a poor selection of fruit. Lots of food on display but poor selection and no fresh. The worst coffee I have had in Europe. The food ruined an otherwise good hotel.
The room is nice and the hotel is updated and pretty. The staff is not very friendly. I feel like I'm putting them out just by being here. The male desk clerk seems to look down his nose at us. The breakfast people are friendly. When we come back from being out, the people who would normally greet us, barely respond back with a "ciao." There is so much noise at night that we had to download an app for white noise on our phone and let it run all night. The furniture has wooden legs and I guess the people above us are redecorating or the place is under construction. Even closing doors quietly is impossible. I'm a quiet hotel guest, but I have to slam my door to get it to lock. We wouldn't come back here.
This place is over-rated! I chose it only because it got excellent rate on Expedia and stayed there for one night. The hotel does not qualify for an excellent rate at all. Yes it is clean to a rate of maybe good to very good , but definitely not excellent.

-Lots of noise at night and in the morning due to staff working and since it s old, walls not insulated, you can easily hear them

Overall it s an ok place to stay but not an excellent hotel.

Came to Rome for the first time, and my wife and I loved it here. The staff was friendly, and the rooms were a very nice size for Rome. They were extremely clean and the towels were very large which I like. I bought my wife roses one of the days and she left them in room while we toured. When we returned from a tour, they had left us a vase with water for the flowers. Would stay here again.
In our 7 weeks of travel through Europe the Metropole would have to be the best we have stayed in not only where the rooms large and very clean but the staff where the most helpful we had meet

Great place to stay. Very clean and very helpful staff. Nice quiet area. We stayed for only 2 nights in our way to the Amalfi coast. If you're in good shape for walking, Trevi Fountain, the Colosseum and anything else around those sites are within a mile or about a 20 to 30 minute walk from the hotel. You'll pass by stores and eats along the way. Enjoy!

I was allowed to spend two weeks here on business. Modern rooms and really strikingly clean. The staff is very polite and fulfills almost every wish. The hygiene concept during Covid-19 is well thought out and is adhered to. Needless to say, Italians are good at cooking. I really have nothing to complain about. Great hotel!
Good location, but they charged us 30E to check in 1.5 hours early. Seemed a little bit crazy. No complimentary water in rooms.
An excellent hotel in the center of the eternal city. The breakfast buffet is great, the front desk is helpful. The rooms are clean and smell great, the bathtubs are especially excellent. I needed an electric adapter, and they sold me one for 2 euros, a fair price. Unfortunately, the TV remote in my room doesn't work, but I assume most tourists don't come to Rome for the cable programs.
