Very similar to the other parks. You can have a BBQ, sit under a tree or by the lake. If you decide to sit under a tree, look out for the birds and falling objects above.
If it's a hot day, make sure you bring water. You'll get dehydrated if you don't take water and I wouldn't risk drinking from the lake. It may look nice on a hot day but just look at the colour of it. Drinking water is not supposed to be that colour. I'm not sure what water-based diseases you'll pick up but do you really want to risk it? Think before you drink.
Amazing Park, I cant wait to be back to Holland and explore it properly.
Yo this place was Gucci with the Ice on it. So many fun people, culture, entertainment. All good things
Good place to hang out whilst visiting Amsterdam. Good selection of places to eat and drink.
Beautiful park, with a lot of walking paths, benches, trash cans.
This is a great place to visit and have a break. Not so far from Central station you can walk and see the different stores along Haarlemmerdijk. Here you will find multiple restaurants and even ice cream!
Its a beautiful and silent park. Pretty good for morning run, for kids and pets
Everyone loves Westerpark.. Just far enough away from the centre to be peaceful. Good food and drink nearby.
One of Amsterdam s largest city parks! Great for all kinds of activities for adults and kids!
Many bars a club and parkland, good for the whole family also esp young adults at night.
Westerpark is just amazing. It's perfect for barbeque on a sunny day. It hosts markets on Sundays and special occasions. A lot of people come here for leisure and play some games. It also has really nice restaurants where you can get food and drinks.
One of my favourite parks in Amsterdam, its huge and perfect for long walks. It also has very nice cafes, bars and restaurants.
This is a perfect spot to relax! Very spacious and great atmopshere! One of the best parks in A'dam. Local life hotspot.
Beautiful place, just take care, otherwise it's possible to get lost and a little claustrophobic, cause there's not many ways out of there.
One of my favourite parks in Amsterdam. Good vibe, nice bars and always fun.
Great place for a stroll, biking, boating and culture activities.
The city s park on the west side! Has everything from an outdoor gym to a hotel!
Very lovely accommodations. Clean and in excellent location. Very close to public transportation. Quiet and very safe. Highly recommend.
Great for watching winos if you're into that sort of thing. When the winos aren't misbehaving, it's a great park to take the kids to. There are a couple of enclosed children's play areas that the winos usually keep clear of. Actually, they generally only bother one another. Still, too many winos...
Beautiful, separate dog walk, nice bars and cafe's. Well worth a visit
Great park, we also went through the allotments which are spectacular and an oasis of green.
Super goed, nice place for spend time, run, workout, eat, barbecue and many more outside things to do!!!
Full of different events throughout the year. Amazing place to have walks, jogging, partying with friends, BBQ, many activities to do
Quite big nice park with some sculptures, fountain. Also you can meet here hares, ducks etc.
Usually restaurants, bars, clubs and pubs and occasional different events like food festivals, expat fairs or flea markets.
Oh... and they're is a park too ;) With free and quite clean toilets!
A lovely little community of tiny homes with bicycle and foot traffic only. Beautiful!
Nice place but quite long to walk from one end to another
A beautiful park with various hip bars and restaurants. It most spots, the food and drinks are relatively expensive for Amsterdam standards. Pacific Parc is an exception to this rule.
One of my favourite Amsterdam parks. Great place to chill (in sun or shades), play games, have drinks and food, take your children, walk etc.
Loads of space to roam, plenty of things to do. We enjoyed watching the classes going on at the dog school
What a nice place ... converted from an old gasworks into a beautifully park complete with bars .. small shops ... theatres...ponds from old gasholders ... quiet walks or busy company you choose
It's a beautiful park, great on sunny days. The first Sunday of the month market here can be quite entertaining
One of the nicest parks in Amsterdam with lots of space. In the summer kids can swim on the artificial beach. And the Westergasfabriek holds a lot of events. Plus cinema, shops, restaurants, markets and more!
Great park and good variety of bars and restaurants to sit and have a drink while watching the world go by.
Really interesting Sunday market, lots of crafty type stalls, some nice food stalls, a few bars and restaurants and some pretty good street entertainers. Will certainly return if I get the chance.
Lovely park. Great dog walking area. Peaceful but also can get super busy in the summer. Great vibe here. Also some great coffee and food places (and festivals) in Westergasfabriek
The beauty , the peace, it was a beautiful experience for me
Nice area for festival hosting, need some efforts to reach by public transport
Great kids' park, safe and with a nice variety of play equipment.
Cool location to visit. It's a location where all art people come together at night.
We visited the market held on the first Sunday of every month and discovered a great atmosphere with lots of unique stalls, nice people and great food choices! Highly recommend a visit if you're in town at the right time.
A must go, wonderful experience.. Lovely green surfaces, pretty crowded mostly.. A great reflection of Amsterdams cultural diversity.. Canals are just beautiful in the evening..
Huge, green and well lit. There's always something to do here and lots of different cafes to visit.
Gorgeous canal views with wide open spaces for every activity you could dream of.
Great park having food and tennis courts and beautiful roads for bicycle and running
Love the fact that there are public barbecues you can use!
Very fresh. The new management has created a arty vibe on the terrain.
nice park, also for family with small children. on hot days the kids can play in the water so bring baby swim gear.
Heavily weather dependent of course, but it's spacious, has good places to continue on to and attracts a good crowd compared to some other parks.
Great place to chill but I prefer Westerpark for outside events such as Rollende Keuken. It's a pretty open park, only surround by few trees at least the back part of the park. This way it feels less like an actual park and more like an open field. There's a little pond but the water looked somewhat disgusting. Anyway, nice park as a hang out spot but better for events.
Nice and big park ! Great for families with children. Once a month they have a food- fashion-art market
Large green space with good walking paths and cycle ways. There is even a waterfall near the centre.
Huge park with a lot of cafe, bars and even cosy cinema. Lovely during the day and busy in the evening.
Really nice park for a walk. Also houses the gashouder, a famous Techno event space.
Beautiful, extensive park. When you think it ends, it just keeps going. There's a wadding pool for children, which is unique in Amsterdam. There's enough trees for hammocks and laying in the shade but there's also large fields for playing in. Also: there's places to BBQ so it's a varied park to do activities in!
Nice and well maintain park!! So clean and art sculptures all over!
Great park really. Gets crowded in good weather as every other park in city, but has bit more to offer usually than any other.
Very nice park .... full of trees and nice spring with alot of ducks there
Really nice to start your Amsterdam experience from here ...
One of Amsterdam's greatest parks. Best place to visit once the sun is shining. A variety of bars and restaurants can be found across the park. You are always welcome to organise your picnic there, either do your workout or read your books. Public toilets are also available at the park!
Really nice park on the outskirts of Central Amsterdam. Excellent wildlife and high quality amenities such as a really cool geometric jungle gym and many benches!
Great place to meet out of town business guests. There's a small meeting room at the Conscious Hotel you can rent, then take a stroll, and pick a place for a drink a snack or a meal. And the Tony Chocolonely shop is like a visit to a chocolate Good Place.
Westerpark is one of the few places in Amsterdam that allowes locals to fully enjoy the few bear strips of green in Amsterdam. We love the Westerpark as we are able to hang in our hammocks, light up the BBQ, and just simply.... relax!
