Lovely park! There are some cafes and places to grab a drink in the park. If you venture to the other side, away from the cafes etc. there is a pond with a floating sculpture of a wedding dress. There is plenty of space to relax on the grass. It was not crowded but there were definitely a lot of people hanging out there. Apparently it s much less busy than Vondelpark which is right in the city.

My friends brought me to Westerpark because I did not know how to ride a bike.
"We will teach you", they said.
They gave me a demonstration, and then sent me on my way. I still remember the feeling of elation the first time I managed to bike more than a minute without any breaks in between.

Beautiful park. I went here for the freedom festival 2018. I saw the most bikes in one area that I ve ever seen in my life. Lots of open space, interesting people, and good music. Good restaurants nearby and a great place to spend the afternoon.
This is a beautiful park with lakes, trees and open grass areas. There are bbq plots and a paddling pool for the young ones. Westergasfabriek is close by.

Much bigger than I thought! Lots of space to play football/sports and plenty of hills to chill out on.
Like every other Dutch park - perfect, but relatively soulless. Great spot to hang in the summer.

Nice city park for a stroll. There are regularly interesting cultural events and a market just outside of it. So you can go and relax in the park afterwards.

This park 8s most definitely worth a visit. Great combination of shops and nature. Always some sort of festival or something on the go over weekends. A must see.
There is so much happening here, concerts, events, spontaneous parties, this is the urban garden, the gorgeous, green, inspiring meeting place of Amsterdam
It is just really far from the central and the walk to here is not nice because the neighborhood is just trashy. Once you are there, it has a nice playground for kids and very cool old buildings. You also have a nearby event place.
There are some bars and restaurants. Very pleasant park for a run

The green sometimes is not really green because a festival but they fix it very fast.
There are huge grills being provided, trash bins next to them ensure this park remains clean. Awesome place!

We stayed at an Airbnb close by and loved the location. This park is great. It can be a bit busy, but it is still pretty quiet. We went to a little food festival that was going on and it was so much fun. There is a great breakfast restaurant in the area too. Just a great place to walk around, have a picnic or bike through. Beautiful.
Twice a day I walk through this park and it never gets old. Friendly people, dog friendly, bike friendly, kid friendly, bbq friendly and many many events happening throughout the year, like a monthly market, wine festivals etc.

It's a great example of conversion of the industrial surplus into a range of recreational facilities, well worth visiting. Could be very crowded in summer though.
Very nice park with regular exhibitions, markets, events and festivals. It also has shops, restaurants, an art-house cinema, a brewery and a dance club. There is also a cultural daycare for 0 to 4 years old children.

Nice park area. Lots of green space and different areas to explore. A few drunks (kept themselves out of the way) but nothing that spoiled the atmosphere.

Big park with a lake. You can do picnics, running or just chillout. It has a designed Bbq area with grills installed. You only need to bring coal. There are also restaurants and bars around. Also couple of supermarkets just short walk away. Close to the centre. Highly recommended!
Nice park to walk through if you're heading to the station. When I went there was a photography exhibit in the center and some food to buy.

It s a huge park with tracks to run and cycle. I stayed at a hostel in this area for a week. There are bars and restaurants nearby so you can get a drink or grab a bite. It s pleasant to just walk around.

Lovely park! Was just looking for somewhere green a little closer to Centraal Station than Vondelpark and this is the ideal spot. 15 minute walk from the train station leads you to this wonderful park - big and spacious and full of people. It was a very nice lively vibe despite being 10pm with songs, bbqs, spliffs, you name it. Will be back soon!
Great park for all different kinds of reasons. More events then vondelpark, bigger then many of the other parks. Easy to access by public transport and home to a bunch of festivals and special events throughout the year. There are many restaurants and bars to go to when there is no events. Much grass to sit on when its sunny. Nice options also for winter time.
The Christmas market here was really nice! Lots of food trucks and a huge inner market filled with hand made jewerly and other things. There was a vintage kilo market as well. Worth it, and way more chill than the ice village

It is a great place but sometimes is misused, sometimes is not used..it would be a great place with a little more care and soul..
If you are in the area. Nice option during the summer to meet up with your mates. A coffee, some nice food or simple some sazzy good night out. This all takes place here.
This place has a great market on the first weekend of the month full of good arty crafty stalls as well as nice artisan foodstuffs. Plenty of street food if you get hungry and a few good bars as well. Would highly recommend.

It's a nice and good place to relax and hangout with friends and family. Lot of people in summers spent quality time watching birds, playing with kids, enjoying there barbeque lunch and snacks and even hosting birthday parties. People should also maintain some more cleanliness. May be administration should put more garbage bins.

Westerpark is great when the sun shines. Plenty to do like visit a brewery, lounge around at ome of the bars outside terraces, visit the local Tony Chocolony factory shop or eat fresh icecream at the ijscuypje shop. First Sunday of the month there is a fun market.

Fantastic little spot just with the city. Peaceful surroundings and extensive parkland. The use of the old gas works and tram terminals is a great way to rejuvenate the area and means there's lots to explore

Very nice park, a lot of green and rest zones, perfect location for morning run. The Summer camp Nemo is allocated here. But a lot of willowwaks with bulrush and boggy ground should be improved. Good place for weekend with friends or family.
