Went to the Pompeii exhibit and while what was there was interesting it seemed much smaller than what we had expect and was just did not seem like it was worth the admission of $20 each PLUS the extra charges for either purchasing tix over the phone or internet from them PLUS $5 to park. Overall underwhelming.

A good way to spend a hot afternoon in the air conditioning. The kids loved the place. Alot of interesting exhibits. Not too crowded. The admission is free, but there are some add ons you can purchase. The movies were good , on a nice big clear screen. Extras for schools and camps as well.

We love The St. Louis Science Center. So much to do and see and participate in. They change out exhibits often enough to make you want to keep going back. Free parking in Forest Park near the Planetarium entrance, but only $10 to park on the Science Center side. Reasonably priced snacks/drinks for a museum too. A great place for both kids and adults. Highly recommend!

Staff is great. Other people not so much. I recommend calling ahead to male sure there aren't too many groups in. There were 3 4-H and one mentor type group whule we were there and with all 4 grouos we had the same issue. Not enough adults to supervise so the kids did whatever they wanted.

I loved it there so much. My first time and it was great. The man at the science shop on the first level was very rude though. Didnt smile or answer me when i said hello how are you, then he just threw my receipt at me. Very rude.. but the rest of the experience was great!

We heard from a local to come take a look with the kids here, and it was not a disappointment. There were tons to do, however, we only got to spend an hour inside - so, we didn t have enough time. My nephew and niece had a blast, and there were a few activity that they really enjoyed playing... if we had more time, we would have spent more time there.

I always enjoy the Science Center. We went for Super Power Dogs at the Omnimax. Parking was $10 and then $10 per ticket.

If you are a teacher, free movie but not for parking. Large Popcorn and Large Drink, $9.99. Large Popcorn and two Large Drinks, $16.99.

Coming from a 26 year old, this science museum was one of the best that I ve been to and truly helped me recapture the joy and wonder of those science field trips of early childhood. All of the exhibits are extremely interactive, with buttons to push, gears to crank and simulation booths to experience. The staff was also exceedingly friendly- particularly John at the numbers and tangram squares section.

Not as large as I expected but really great for learning and education. We went there on the "Stranger Things" First Fridays night and had a blast. There were gaming areas with arcade machines and classic video gaming equipment. The place was packed and the energy was quite contagious. The Outer Space section was really nice as well. Best of all, it was all free (parking was only $5 that night and because of the special event, the center closed at 10pm, so we could fit it into our vacation plans and still tour the other STL sites).

Fantastic place especially for bringing kids. There are tons of great things to interact with and I feel you could easily spend all day here especially if you have children. They even have a Build-A-Bear in the bottom floor with parts of their attractions as parts of what you can get made. Very well-thought-out and very fun and informative / educational.

The Science Center is one of the best family and tourist spots in this or any city.
If you are at all interested in any type of science you have to go here.
Anything from Dinosaurs to space travel is covered and most of it is free.
We were there for the First Friday Star Wars event and it was a great bonding event for my son and me. They put a ton of work into this and it really paid off.

This is an amazing place. Lots of great opportunity for both children and adults to learn. For adults: beware, there will often be a lot of young ones in the gaming exhibit. So that can make it hard to enjoy the displays it has. On another note, the planetarium is the highlight of the science center. Do your self a favor and buy tickets for the show. It's informational, relaxing, and, most of all, breath taking. Oh, and admission is free!

The Science Center is a great place for kids and adult kids at heart. There is some much to do and see. The Imax is huge! The special events like the monthly Friday are worth the time. I went to the Dr. Who event and can't wait to try another!

So much to see and touch. Great for little ones and old ones and everyone in between.

Great exhibit of Pompeii.

Highly recommend. Pompeii gift shop doesn't have much. Can get an audio device to tell you about items.

There were several school groups (end of the year trips, no big deal) but it seemed a lot of hands on exhibits were broken or missing pieces which was disappointing. It was still fun and we're excited to bring our daughter back for the planetarium shows when she's a little older

I was really impressed with the wealth of hands on exhibits and activities. The space exhibits were up to date and fun. My group especially enjoyed the activities on the I-64 pedestrian bridge. We weren't able to see everything on our visit, but due to the free admission I know we will go back again and again.

I would definitely recommend. Make sure you allow enough time to experience everything they offer though. All the exhibits were awesome. The electric show was my favorite part! Be sure to check it out when you're in St. Louis!!

Had so much fun in the game exhibit. This is a big facility with a ton of things to experience. Admission is free but to experience most of the main attractions you have to pay a fee. Worth it however and the funds go towards new exhibits. Parking is $10 as well. Can spend at least 3 hours here getting lost. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Facility is very clean and well kept.

For a free museum, this is amazing. It is packed full of interactive activities that are great for children and adults. We spent two hours here and it wasn't nearly enough time to see even half of the things here. I really liked the game and maker spaces. We will be coming back and buying the tickets for the planetarium, since my husband loves that stuff.

I love the St. Louis Science Center. It's located in Forest Park and had free admission. There is a charge for special exhibits. I went to First Friday last night and had a ball. Every first Friday of the month the Science Center is open past there regular close time at 5pm and stays open until about 10pm. I saw the Live in the Sky last night which was free admission because it was 1st Friday. Every 1st Friday has a different theme and last night it was a movie making theme. There was various schools there educating us on how to create a film from start to finish...lighting, story telling, sound and actually playing a short role in your own film. All this and other exhibits were free last night as is every 1st Friday. There was various vendors present as well and of course food and snacks for purchase at the Science Center. We parked for free at the Planetarium's parking lot. There's a few cool exhibits outside before entering the Science Center. This place is awesome for any age kid at heart. They now sell alcohol for adults. There are 2 gift shops as well located inside the Planetarium and the other in the main building. There's an awesome section called Grow. This is an outside garden area where the Science Center grows food that is uses at its eateries. Very sustainable from the garden to the table. They even have live chickens and roosters with various stations that show you how to milk a cow and the use a tractors. Take pics with all of this and everything inside of the Science Center. There are 2 virtual reality rides inside in the Planetarium building. There is a fee for these rides and they're fun as I experienced one last year. It was awesome. The Omnimax is a huge circular movie theatre inside the Science Center. It's the biggest screen I've ever seen and they have various movies showing for a fee. This place is a must experience!

Absolutely fantastic. Many and varied exhibits across a range of sciences. Everything is well-labeled and accessible; my one-year-old was enthralled! Can't believe this quality is free! Highly recommended.

This has to be one of the best places to take your kids in St. Louis. It was pretty fun for the grown ups too. Definitely visit the science center if you re visiting St. Louis with the family.

I have been coming to the Science Center since I was in grade school. No matter how old you are there is always something to do here. I came here to watch Star Wars Episode 7 at the Omni Max and it was amazing. I also enjoy coming up here on First Fridays because there is always a different theme. I have been up here Doctor Who, Pokemon, Star Wars and couple of other theme nights. The most recent theme was Pokemon. Be sure to check their social media to see what is going on before you go.

Man, really liked this place the 2 times we've been here. It was a year apart but we feel like we could still spend time here when we are in st. Louis. So much still left to see. We didn't even cross the bridge this time and spent most of the day here. And free? Great way to spend an afternoon.

Wonderful fun for the whole family!

Wonderful fun for the whole family!
For older folks, you have history, artifacts & art.
For young kids, you have interactive games, dinosaurs & space.
For everyone, there is a movie & at the moment a Pompeii exhibit!
I recommend to anyone that is in St. Louis for the weekend to stop by.
You might spend 4 - 6 hours of fun here!

Tons of hands-on/interactive exhibits! It was very clean, especially for how many people go through there! They do make you leave immediately at closing time. What a great place to visit for free. (With $12 parking)

Parking is $12 but the center is free! I ve been to many science museums so I feel like I can say it s a good deal for children 10 and under. I was there with five kids under 5 and they thought it was interesting. My dinosaur OBSESSED 3 year was so scared of the T REX it was adorable. He kept watching it to see if it was going to look down at us with its mouth wide open. I don t know how many times I heard, It s gonna eat me!!!
When I got there we had close to 2 hours before closing and it seemed like on the last hour they closed everything down with at least 45 minutes remaining. So get there early if you want to check out everything.
Oh and I forgot to mention they have a game room! That is a must see! If you have children or even if you miss playing on the old and I m talking OLD game systems they have them displayed in working condition. They also have virtual reality, racing systems, a huge floor Nintendo controller to play Mario, and I m pretty sure they had PlayStation and Xbox set ups too.

It's a bit antiquated in a few of the exhibits, but others are fresh a d interesting. The IMAX is always a bit with the kids and it's a great affordable place to visit when it's cold and rainy.

Very much meant for children and not adults - went with a group of friends and could ve had a better time if it was geared more towards adults. But it s free which is a plus! (parking is not free)

We came here from Chicago and had a great time! We seen some star show, honestly the guy talked WAY too much and it was boring to the kids. The whole rest of the center was great. The kids loved all the hands on areas.

The stars are not because the place is not awesome. We went during July when it was jammed packed with camp groups. We thought during the week it would be less congested but walked in to huge groups of kids in camp t shirts pretty much hogging all the exhibits with no adult supervision. We weren't able to get close enough to check much out. We then went to cross the bridge to the planetarium where droves of these camp kids were climbing all over the place, again with no adult supervision. It was clear that staff were irritated by the disrespect as well as other families who were trying to experience the place. My advice, plan to go before or after camp season!

This is such a fun day. So many great things to do to keep young and old busy for hours.
We loved the Imax theater and can't wait to go back. Although, we did feel like we were watching a tennis match.

The window walk over the highway is fun too. Lots and lots to do in this neighborhood.
