St. Joseph Villa Review

I am a nurse and I work here. But's it's more than a job. I've been happy to be part of the family here for over 5 years. You can feel it when you walk in the front door. The staff and residents truly love each other as family. I've brought my own family here for rehab because we have an amazing, dedicated group of people that love coming here every day to help others get well, reach their goals and have good days, even when tough days are what's expected.

This is my fourth time recovering at Saint Josephs Villa and the reason I keep coming back to this facility to recover is because of the employees they are great I want to say thanks to Maria, Marissa, Ashley, Brittany, and Casey! and Colter, Tyler, Kelly, and especially Breauna in therapy, thesespeople made a big difference in my stay as St. Joseph s Villa and I want to thank all of them there For another great recovery at st. Joseph s Villa, Sky Galli

The staff was amazing to my grandma! She always said how safe she felt. Every time we went to visit they were always friendly and asked if there was anything else they could do to better her stay. Love these guys at st Joseph s villa!!!!!!

Went to accompany a friend to Mass. The nursing staff in Assisted Living knew she wanted to go to Mass that day and yet by late morning, still no one had ever come in to get her out of bed and ready for Mass. If I had not stopped by, she definitely would never have made it to Mass since she was unable to dress herself and get herself ready to go. I had to do the staff's job for them and she told me that this neglect was typical of what she had experienced in Assisted Living at St. Joseph's Villa.

Another friend in Assisted Living here ended up having to move back home with relatives because the food was so horrible at St. Joseph's Villa that she lost 20 pounds because of her inability to eat such terrible meals!

I see a lot of five-star reviews posted here on Google Reviews that appear contrived and phony. But, people, recognize the ring of truth in the negative reviews and be forewarned!

The one thing I have heard is really good at St. Joseph's is their Rehab floor. It appears they are doing a very good job there.

The St Joseph Villa nursing home facility needs to new staffing. The fact that my grandmother was left in her soiled clothes for roughly Seven hours after requesting multiple times to be changed. Not to mention, the night staff telling her " You don't need to get up. " or " You don't need to use the restroom. " only proves this facility cares nothing about their patients. I would advise to look someplace else.

The services and love that St Joseph Villa provides to its residents and its community is extraordinary. I cant recommend this place enough.

My mom has worked here got over 20 years in every department, we have gone through tragedy with family members and have had horror experience with nursing homes but St Joseph Villa has always put the residence and patience first offering multiple options for all stages wonderful facility.

My mom stayed here for a little over a week and I was very happy with the way they took care of her. The downsides were that they let her catheter bag overflow once and were a little loud one night but aside from that, there were no problems. Mom seemed pretty content here.

The physical therapy is good quality. The nurses are few and hard to find. The facility itself is run-down. The staff will say anything to try to convince you not to move out, including misleading you about insurance coverage. If you ask a question who s answer does not reflect well on them, it is replied with an intentionally convoluted shroud of pure, refined balderdash. Don t trust them. Do your own research, and do it thoroughly.
The food could be rivaled by any economy airline or adult detention center.
We are moving out ASAP!

The staff here are amazing and treat the residents with respect and love.

I'd recommend my fam to go to St Joseph Villa if ever it's needed.

I am a social worker and marketer with a local home heath and hospice company and I have and will continue to recommend this facility to all my patients. They are a five star building, and have been for several years. That is a comendible considering the size of building and the number of patients the take care of. Their staff are personable and I know will try to accommodate every patients and families request to the best of their ability.

I have worked in the healthcare field for several years and St Joseph Villa by far has the most to offer in the valley. Beautiful large Campus with a private Post Acute Rehab rooms, Tracheotomy/Vent Care, Long Term Care, Assisted Living, and Independent Living. A full continuum of care. Not to mention the added spiritual services provided if desired. Excellent staff with outstanding outcomes.

My brother-in-law came to St Joseph Villa after a below the knee amputation. The Therapy team did an outstanding job helping him walk again and preparing him for his prosthesis. The rooms are large and spacious with Free WI-FI. They have great nurses and staffing ratios. Plus, Super friendly and professional. I would recommend to other family and friends!

I really don't like to leave a review for any type of service that is as emotionally demanding as being a staff member at this type of facility. However, in the best interest of anyone who might be vulnerable to the awful behavior that caretakers can be capable of, I have witnessed it several times at this facility. All in all, they have taken pretty good care of my loved one, but to be placed in a distressing or embarrassing position because a nurse thinks it is funny is absolutely unacceptable. One of the nurses at this facility made my love one scramble to his feet and struggle to use The voice he is no longer physically capable of using to defend himself from the shame she was intentionally making him feel. I'm not sure if she was trying to impress myself or his other company in some sick way but that kind of bullying needs to be reported in some way. You're welcome for not flying off the handle in the middle of your facility.

I recently had family member stay here and while we were super nervous of what to expect we were thrilled with the overall experience. The nurses and rehab team were amazing to work with and the communication help our family feel at ease with this experience. Building was clean and nice to be in during our time. Thank you St. Joseph Villa team for all your efforts.

This place is top notch! Amazing people that really DO care for the patients. Don t let a few poor reviews count this place out. It is excellent and not everyone is going to be happy with every facility, but I can tell you this place is excellent!

St Joseph is an incredible place to be. I've been part of this team for 5 years and there is a huge difference in the way residents are cared for. I've been in healthcare for over 15 years and this place I wouldn't hesitate to have family stay there.

The nursing and front line staff are the best in the state. While no one is perfect, it is a place that effort and commitment to getting better is always priority.

I recently had family stay at this facility and let me just say, fantastic patient care. I mainly worked with Trevor and he was very helpful and intentive to my family s wants and needs. Highly recommend St. Joseph s!!

Wouldn't hire me because a nurse (Burt) works there who doesn't like me from a previous facility. No joke! Said I wasn't " allowed " to work there worried there would be an issue" ha please put me in a different unit. You're loss!

Lousy equipment, bad communication between supervisory staff and employees, poor food, some staff have big egos, make patients feel like dog food.

This place is AMAZING! They took such good care of my grandpa. They were so accommodating and the staff was so friendly. This place feels like home. I m comforted knowing that my loved ones are being taken care of at St. Joe s!

My sister-in-law chose to go here after she had an experience in the hospital where she almost died. She went to rehab and they really worked hard to help her even though she wasn't as cooperative as she could have been. Due to increasing health issues, she was admitted to long term care. The staff are caring individuals who took care of her with grace, kindness and patience. Everyone we interacted with were caring and kind with both my wife and I and our sister. We appreciated their care and concern.

My grandma is currently a resident here. We are moving her to another facility ASAP!!! Please don t not let You loves one be treated by these people. My grandma s expensive items are stolen constantly. We buy her new clothes and new blankets and they are missing with no explanation a few days following. Her expensive wheelchair that SHE purchased is missing. We have asked and asked and get blank faces with I don t know answers. They treat my grandma like crap. Unless a family memeber is there requesting help to get her out of bed and dressed they won t do it. THIS IS THE JOB OF A CNA and they won t do it!!! My grandma pays out of her own pocket to stay there and she is treated like a waste of time and space!!!! I just don t understand how people can treat a human being like this. The place is falling apart and the staff needs be re evaluated. I feel if you work in a place like that you should know how to treat your patients. I guarantee none of those nurses or CNA s would treat or put up with their own grandmother being treated how my grandmother is being treated!!!! Something needs to happen fast and this facility needs to get their crap together. TREAT YOUR RESIDENTS WITH LOVE KIDNESS AND RESPECT!! Also whoever is stealing from the residents needs to be caught and put in jail!!!!! THE STEALING NEEDS TO STOP!!! Stealing from elderly people is lower than low!!!!

We love this place!!! My mom was a patient in the rehab portion of St. Joseph Villa for a little over 2 months and loved it. The staff was attentive and caring and took such good care of her. They were able to provide her with the medical attention she was unable to get at any other rehab facility in the valley and we were so grateful. They treated her, and us, like family and went out of their way to make sure she was comfortable and had whatever she needed. We felt so welcome and loved and would recommend this facility to everyone!! Love them!!!!

St. Joseph Villa is the most amazing place to work. They make you feel like family and important from employee to the residents.

My friend has been there 30 days and has had 3 of his personal items stolen even $20.00 from his wallet. The staff is horrible, most are not trained, and can't even help him get in and out of bed. And most of them don't speak English, the meals are decusting they starve you , place is dirty, the place they have to go shower and use the bathroom is dirty and there is poop on the toilet seat. Think twice before putting a loved one in that place, please

They have great staff! Their new vent unit is amazing!

My mother has been in the rehabilitation special care unit for 2 months now. St.joesph was recommend when we were looking for a center. Love them great staff they take very good care of my mother. Highly recommend.

I brought my grandmother here after a debilitating fall and could not have been happier with the care she received. Staff were attentive and kind, communication was excellent and I felt comfortable knowing she was in good hands. I highly recommend this facility.

Excellent facility. The nurses are very helpful and the social workers are competently involved. HR is easy to work with and the housekeeping are really nice, especially Maxine!

Awesome company. I had always heard many good things about this facility and eventually started working there. I have been very impressed. I often ask the residents how they like it and have only heard good things about it.

As a nurse who work at the St Joseph, I feel I am in a big family. I feel so lucky to find a job that I truly love and I will try my best to make this place even better!

Horrible place, I've been a cna for 10 years and this place by far is the lowest of the low. It's super dirty and the staff there are so rude. I have nothing nice to say about this place

The respiratory manager Missie is not qualified. IF YOU HAVE A PATIENT WHO IS IN NEED OF RESPIRATORY CARE DONT TAKE THEM TO St Joseph's ,5 PATIENTS HAVE DIED BECAUSE THEY WERE NOT MONITORED CORRECTLY .

The entire staff are dedicated to their patients. Rehab therapy is positively caring and knowledgeable. I am so impressed and relieved my friend is getting rehab here.

Not impressed. After facing a minor tragedy, my grandmother had to spend some time at this facility. Everything seemed fine until it wasn t. the event that triggered a bad situation to a worse one is when we moved her to a real care facility and the staff begin saying nasty things criticizing how much time we as a family spend visiting our grandmother. The log books show how much time we spend and how many visitors, but it s an emotional situation. It is apparent that the staff know how much a comment like that can hurt with someone on borrowed time. Bad facility, worse staff. I m sure not everyone that works there has hooves or act like low flying harpies, but the nasty employees that work there are loud. Shame on this place for emotionally abusing families in very difficult positions.

UPDATE: Mr. Wilson called me today, it is now clear to me where the root cause to this issue stems from. The staff of this facility is disrespectful because the leadership is disrespectful, condescending, and speaks down to people. This is simply a toxic environment that is not capable of offering compassion, empathy, or anything else beyond bilking vulnerable families. Shame on you Mr. Wilson.

UPDATE Responce Below: Simply unethical behavior, confirmed the location prior to contacting and confirmed with all family members. Stay away, at all cost, nothing more than a den of thieves and liars.

I have had nothing but positive experiences with St Joseph Villa, the staff truly cares about the residents and it shows!

I experienced elder abuse-attempts to defraud me-having me listed as a patient in 2020 after I left in 2019. I'll NEVER go back.

My mother went in for rehab after hip surgery and I have a couple issues about the place for sure.
First thing she gets a UTI and was dehydrated. They sent her to a doctor appt a week early and then forgot about the appt the next week. Now we learned the Dr was shocked that she wasn't up and walking yet. So what were they doing all this time? OMG is all I can say.

Good place. Everything seems nice here but 2 stars for all the air freshener. Too much of it. It has chemicals in it that shouldn't be used so much around the elderly who have already frail health. Too much air freshener theses last few months

Wow...Dr WHO, as my Mom calls him, diagnosed her as having Alzheimers. Once we finally escaped the horror of this drug overused place, she moved into her own apartment and has been living completely fine! Nothing wrong with her. She just wanted to move out of my house into her own place & threw a fit in front of a bath nurse whom called her 'friend' whom worked there. First day there, they over drugged her with meds that make her delirious, & then tested her for mental issues. Really? YES, I witnessed this. They forced her to take these meds- 6 in all, & then wouldn't release her because she was very very angry. Hmmmm, I wonder why? My Mom says everyone is in a 'ZOMBIE' state. My advice...stay away from this place! My Moms Regular Doctor immediately took her off ALL 6 meds that this place said don't just quit at once. She has been perfect since.

I work here at St Joseph Villa and love the staff and residents!! The employees go above and beyond to provide the best care for the residents!! Great company who believes in providing a high standard of care!!

Horrible service... You can never get a hold of them.. My uncle was there and we had paid for the month of December in advance he left on the 11th and 40 days later we're still waiting for a refund and no one returns our calls.. definitely would not recommend this place
