Great steak & shrimp dinner and a beautiful view across the water

The staff is very friendly and open and I'd love the view of the Saint Johns river. There's ample opportunity to go for a short walk and sit outside after your meal is finished. There open seating areas for those worried about the virus exposure.

Good, but overpriced. Steak has 2 dollar surcharge due to covid. Nice location, but we don't go again. Texas steakhouse has better steaks.

The new menu is great.. oysters where outstanding.. wings are great..shrimp outstanding.. can not wait to keep trying the rest of the menu.. service was fairly fast and the new cook came out and talked with the guest.. not a bad view of the lake either

Good food, I've had both the fish sandwich and the ribeye both were cooked well the staff was friendly and welcoming.

Just had lunch here today, Sept. 11, 2018. Delicious! The shrimp and grits were phenomenal ..my husband had the blackened haddock and our friend had the grilled salmon, no complaints from anyone . beautiful setting, good service, great atmosphere. Lucky find

Usually we have amazing meals and good service not sure what was going on today. I normally order The Ruben, which I might say is Amazing, but was informed they discontinued it. Then when I decided to get wings, I was told they were all out. I was very disappointed and had to settle for a burger, which was overcooked and their sweet tea was very weak and had no sugar. If it wasn't for their beautiful view of the water and their Ruben I was looking forward of getting, we wouldn't even have gone. We drove an hour + to only be very disappointed. Not sure if we will be returning.

Every one of us enjoyed our meals. Just delicious. The weather was perfect for outdoor seating and there was a nice breeze. Definitely will make the drive back!

Our first time here and everything was amazing! Food excellent, service excellent, and the guy performing was so awesome! Definitely will be coming here for a mini vacation every month!

Very disappointed. This was a Birthday dinner for my Mom. Had a great experience when we tried this restaurant for the first time last year. This time things started out well. but went downhill from there. We waited a long time for our food. The food was ok once it finally came out. The waitress pretty much disappeared later in the evening. Took a long time to get the check. I'm guessing they were short-handed, as the table next to us arrived before we did and did not have their food before ours was served. Probably will not return.

Great place for a nice dinner on the river! I had the broiled grouper, baked potato and fresh vegetables. So good! Our table overlooked the water and we had a beautiful sunset. Enjoyed the music also. Will definitely be back. Waitress was Great! She made sure we had everything we needed.

We had the nicest waitor! We mentioned getting married the day before & he brought us this beautiful cake ~ it said just married on the plate. Good food, drinks, prices & service=right on the water. I recommend and look forward to returning :)

John was the perfect waiter, the food was delicious. Sure enjoyed our experience and the lovely view of the lake and palm trees.

So last night I was so excited to have a night out with my friend. We decided to support local & have dinner here. 1st thing we waited forever for a table cool its Friday night fine. We get it. We weren't offered would you all like to get a drink while you wait nothing. Then when we finally got a table outside we waited another 15 minutes for a server to come out. Big Thank You to the entertainment for pointing out to another waiter that we had been sitting there for a while. So we finally ordered, the Gumbo was terrible, as if it had been sitting in the pot all day. My salad was ok but my drink was so watered down. I finally got my dinner. Shrimp scampi. All I could eat was the shrimp & the bread. Ive never tasted sau8 like that before. I will probably never come back. The best part about the night was the entertainment & the view.

Very nice waterfront setting with very big menu. Restaurant was very noisy. We are on the patio that had loud music, very hard to have a conversation.

They just accommodated almost 30 people in 1 party and they did a fantastic job! The drinks kept coming as needed, appetizers came out quickly and the main course as well. It was all very good with a great staff!! Thank you for a very nice evening with my coworkers.

Emily was our waitress. We came in to have a beer and ended up staying for lunch. Excellent views excellent food excellent service. Highly recommended. Sanford's only Lake Monroe Lakefront Restaurant and Bar!

This is our second time coming here and both times were phenomenal. The service was great, and accommodated my son being so picky and the food was so good, the patio was great, the live music wasn't half bad.

Pretty expensive for the quality, wasn't really impressed, 40$ on a dinner for my self with a beer.

This restaurant is overlooking St.Johns River and Lake Monroe-so the water views are AMAZING! We sat on the outside patio which is screened in with fans.

We started with two Caesar salads.I ordered the Ahi Tuna and My love ordered the NY Strip Steak. The food was absolutely delicious! I wish they gave me more Ahi Tuna but I was delighted that they seared it to perfection.

I m on a low carb diet so there were plenty of options for me. Great place to get some yummy food and a breathtaking water view! We will be back for another date night!

They also had all the staff in masks, sanitizer at the front and seem to be following the CDC guidelines. Thank you for a lovely evening!Cheers!

While having lunch with my coworkers after drinking my glasses of sweet tea one of my coworkers notice a bug smahed on the inside of my glass. I spoke with our server Erica l think is her name. She offered 10% my $2.00 drink. Wow!!! The manager did come out and offer to take the $2.00 sweet tea off our bill. Her reason is the location and eating outside. Well we were eating in side. It obvious that we do work in the area and we do often do lunches catered or dine out. Let's just say we will be returning. Very poor service!

The atmosphere was nice, we sat on the patio and it was quaint and nice to enjoy the weather. The food was a different story. I ordered a filet mignon med rare and it came with no pink, it was cooked well done in my opinion. I asked for a correct steak to replace. They brought me a sirloin but confirmed with management that it was indeed a filet. It was med rare but not the steak I ordered. My server was good but the food was not. If you want a steak cooked correctly I would not come here. The manager also never stopped by to talk and left the server out to dry.

The atmosphere is great! Staff is wearing face masks at all times to keep every safe. The food was delicious!!! Drinks are also really good too! And rhe prices are not bad at all. This is DEFINITELY a I'm coming back place!

It is a bit out of the way, but we'll worth the drive. The atmosphere is casual and perfect for any occasion. The food is so good and very fresh! The fried shrimp were butterflied and cooked to perfection. The shrimp was plump and sweet, my favorite!! We will definitely be back.

Food and service were good. Restrooms smelled awful and the smell carried to the dining room whenever people went in or out opening the doors. We could smell the restrooms from a table near the bar.

Seated group of 9 right away. Excellent New Orleans Gumbo. Had Haddock sandwich. Nice sized piece of fish. Very tastey. Great view of Lake Monroe.

It was our first time going to St John's steak seafood. The atmosphere was pleasant. They had live music, outdoor indoor seating. Our servers Cindy and Connie were extremely friendly. Great customer service and they food was exquisite. We will definitely recommend it and come back again. It's one of our favorite spots now.

Went the other day with a friend for lunch, it was really good and we enjoyed sitting outside on the beautiful deck. I have the Conch chowder and the ribeye sandwich and it was delicious. The service was also very good.

Pleasant atmosphere for adults and its variety of beers makes it interesting to visit. It is located within the historic district of Sanford and is ideal from the afternoon until the body endures ...

This was the first time my husband and I went to this restaurant and we will definitely be back again. Our server, Marina, was extremely helpful and friendly. She went above and beyond for us to correct the appetizer we ordered. The food was delicious and the portion was more than we expected. I recommend everyone to try this hidden gem on the waterfront of Sanford.

Waitress seemed stressed out, your water glass should go below 1/2, and here it did, the fish on the combo platter was way over cooked.

Hushpuppy with the sauce was very good. Never had a fish sandwich before and we very satisfied with the fried grouper, shrimp and grits as also very good.

Best dinner I've had in years. Atmosphere was GREAT, the patio was comfortable, outside live music was amazing, the food was DELICIOUS, l loved the bottle of wine the server recommended, and the night was overall perfection.

Excellent service, great atmosphere and amazing food! They servers and managers made it a point to introduce themselves and made us feel so welcome and comfortable. I highly recommend dining at this establishment. I know it is definitely going to be my favorite go to restaurant.

The staff was friendly and eager to help us. Our table reservation got messed up. The food was not very good for the price. Ribeye was severely overcooked and grilled seafood was overseasoned.

Road trip from Orlando area... Happened upon StJRS&S in Sanford along lake shore. Good beer, tasty food, large portions, terrific view out panoramic windows. Will go back whenever we're in the area. Fun place.

I had the sirloin, and it was the best cut of steak I've had in a while. Everyone else at my table thought the food was exceptional. The earthquake cake was amazing rich chocolate and was immaculate. I would definitely come again

one of the first places i ate in downtown sanford. i eat tilapia here everyday catching them a few hundred yards out my backdoor. I've had it a different way everyday for months. My friend got the Tilapia at this place... OUTSTANDING! It's not iron chef presentation with sauces but it's good and the food is worth the price. We live in an RV and don't go out much since we moved. When we do we want it to be a solid deal. If you are in doubt because of the other reviews just ask to try the hush puppys first. We have had the all over traveling. The ones here are wonderful.

I have been here to dine at least 6 times and its been pretty darn good. Today I brought my mom who was already weary of going out. The hostess had to reseat us because we were to close to another diner. The hostess told was very rude to us.

The food and the drinks were awesome the server sucked we never got our appetizer or are glasses of water the server left elephant manager in charge we'll give them one more chance that the service still sucks no matter how good the food is will not come back

I was not impressed. Drove out from Deltona excited to eat on the water and starving. We were there well over an hour and the majority of the time was waiting on our food. The place was empty so it wasn't an issue with being packed. The waitress NEVER offered a refill on drinks or anything. Then we waited twenty minutes for our bill after asking for it. We won't go back.

Not social distancing when seating. Went on Saturday at 11 am. Everyone was seated outside. We were seated at a table outside not near others but before we got our meal two tables next to us were seated with less than 2 feet of distance between us. Since it's impossible to wear a mask while eating this is extremely dangerous. We got our meals to go before we could eat them. It was very disappointing that they packed the outside seating area completely full. As far as the food it was okay. My daughter and I had shrimp and grits, it was okay. Tibbys is better. The gumbo came with a whole stewed tomato in it. Tomato based isn't my preference for gumbo but my husband loved it. I thought it tasted like hearty tomato soup. The shrimp from the 1 lb shrimp appetizer wasn't de-veined and was not clean, disgusting. Decor is not great. Upholestry needs to be cleaned. Very nice view. Servicewas good but she delivered the gumbo 2 minutes after the 1 lb shrimp giving us no time to enjoy the appetizer first. Probably won't go back because the food just wasn't that great.
