This really is a great venue, but the cost of drinks is just ridiculous.

Absolutely love this as a venue, there really isn't a bad seat in the place and the acoustics are top notch.

Brilliant venue, easy parking just a short walk away! Awesome building & very friendly staff! Definitely would visit again & again!

Great Experience whether your seeing a Concert or a Comedian

Only downside is if you have vertigo book standing very steep seating

Other than the completely rip off ticket tax that is the adjacent car park, another excellent visit to the SSE Hydro. There's not much choice but to pay the parking because the venue is difficult to access by public transport so unless your being dropped off and picked up your gonna be hit by the scam tax, seriously parking times are less than 1 hour or 1-12 hours, nothing in between. Went to see OVO by Cirque du Soliel - really good show, perhaps slightly too much child orientated but really good show nonetheless. Definitely recommended to parents of say under 12s

Has to be one of, if not the best venues in Scotland! Not a bad seat in the house with views to the stage on ground level as well as the top tear, or even in the far corners.
The sound in the place is like nothing I've heard, and the building itself looks absolutely amazing!

Fabulous concert with James Taylor and Bonnie Raitt. Star Suite excellent too

A warm welcome from everyone, the SSE Energisers were especially helpful and friendly and the whole experience for me and my wee girl was super. Only downside was food and drink prices; we simply couldn't afford to buy anything but still a fun experience in an iconic venue.

Very friendly staff, bit pricey for snacks and drinks but not excessive. Good sound in the arena.

Excellent and airy this venue is fantastic for people with eyesight problems as there are 2 large screens at either side of the main stage

Great venue. Set out really well as you never feel cramped in. Very accessible and security and staff on hand to help. There's a bar on site along with stalls and set ups for merchandise. There is also small food outlets for fast food while More

The rating says it all, its ok. Parking is very expensive in the car park, train can be taken then walk over bridge. Food and drink within the arena is expensive. If you are a SSE customer then register for the free lounge when buying tickets. Also on the day of the event check with the helpers as they do have a limited number of extra spaces if you have your account number. Good sound and viewing from almost everywhere - standing is best in my opinion

Needs a big event to fill this huge space. Not a great place to fully appreciate your favourite band, unless they're very big & loud...

I took a friend to see Mrs Brown's Boys - The Musical, along with her cousin. It was a birthday trip for the cousin. The nearest I got to the venue was when they got lost on leaving it. It looks amazing. Maybe someday...

Was at the Hanz Zimmer concert. It was excellent. My son & I were in the disabled access area. The seat's were fantastic!!!

I've been twice now and I have to say that the acoustics are very disappointing for a purpose built venue. It's also very difficult to build up much of an atmosphere with such a high roof space just swallowing the noise. I'll stick to the smaller venues for atmosphere and that proper gig feeling.

Had gone to the walking with dinosaurs show with my 2 year old daughter who is still raving about seeing dinosaurs for 'real'

Fantastic venue. Loved the SSE reward lounge it all helped to make a brilliant evening.

A complete lack of engagement from crowd control staff who think that only staring at you is the appropriate for of communication. Avoid the multi level car park, I didn't get out until midnight and was in my car at 2230

Went to see Elf the Musical, it was a great show. One problem I had with the venue, I was taking in 2 bottles of unopened water but could only take them in if I transferred it into the disposable cup they provided, didn't feel the was very environmentally friendly,

Shocking toilet situation on Level3 - nothing flushing by 8.30pm, disgusting. Huge queues and only a trickle out the taps. Apparently the same situation the night before. Poor !

While the venue inside is good the inability of the security to speedily clear a full concert crowd means you could be left standing in the wet or cold for over thirty minutes. Not good enough

The show was great,the Hydro was needing to be cleaned,it had dirty glass, dirty floors and not very warm. Toilets we're clean, won't be rushing back. Cheers

Saw Florence and the Machine here, not a bad seat in the house very well built and the sound was amazing

Not very impressed with the overall cleanliness of the building. Floor very sticky and seats very uncomfortable. Celine Dion on the other hand was absolutely fantastic.

I thought the O2 Academy was terrible for sound but this takes top spot there. Poor design leads itself to terrible acoustics and the sound engineers just don't have a clue what they're doing with the space or the equipment which can't seem to handle loud volumes of any sort without becoming muddy and washed out. I would only recommend this place for acoustic sets.

Went to see Dantdm with my 10 year old, amazing show, friendly staff, helpful, friendly & organised, clean and very good pricing for food/snacks

Great place to watch celebrities and pop stars.. Only small moan that seats are very uncomfortable after a while.

I've seen Still Game show. Tickets a bit overpriced.
First time experience at SSE HYDRO. Comfortable seats, legroom for average size people (I'm 192cm). If you tall, find seat where there is a walking space in front of you.
Lot's of staff, helpful to point out direction.
Security check on entrance.
Toilet cleaning 6/10
Visitors should be ashamed leave mess behind them. I feel sorry for cleaner. Solution might be more litter bin around.

Great venue loved seeing James Arthur. Also good due deleting area for disabled people

Rod Stewart. Amazing. Hight of stairs and seating a bit daunting.

Excellent venue and Hydro lounge was great we upgraded our tickets and got some Street food a drink on arrival and access to the lounge.
I would highly recommend this before a gig

SSE Hydro has to be one of the premier venues in the UK for gigs. I have been there for many gigs and the most recent was for Brian Cox live and every time it just runs seamlessly

The seat I had was great but I think the ticket prices in general are too expensive and the same goes for the drinks.

First ever visit for THE league of gentlemen comfy seats nice atmosphere (don't park in the multi carpark)

Great venue for gigs. Not too great for pregnant women as the stairs are very steep.

Aside from parking which is 11 quid for over and hour and under whatever it's a great place to see a show. 3rd time at Still Game and loved it.

Enjoyed my night here, although drinks are a bit steep

Fast queue serving, easy navigation around the arena, sufficient merchendise/food facilities and good enough air ventilation.
