Great venue. But parking can be a nightmare. Plenty of spaces but to exit you can expect delays of 30-40 minutes

Loved the show I went to see but the smells of so many different foods was awful

Decent enclosed easy access venue very similar to the O2 in Greenwich in London but smaller. Also suffers the same reverberant acoustic problems as the Greenwich O2 from my tier one seat which slightly spoilt the evening. Is this a problem More

Waited from 7pm till 8pm when doors were ment to open at 6.30 it was a total farce we were moved queues as security didn't know their arse from their elbow

Accoustics are fine and view is good. Architecture could have been better in terms of access to the seats and less stair climbing.

Won a competition in the executive box it was a fantastic experience and a great view will always want a box now I have experienced it.

Terrible place. Uncomfortable seats, if you put your coat over the back of your seat (queues for cloakroom ridiculously long) the drinks of the floor behind you tend to decorate it. Very poor support for moving along rows with fall risk severe. Getting in and out difficult and what's this with searching everybody, is there a problem?

Went to see Still Game Live. Great night and great view. Good choice of preshow drinks and easy to find seats due to plenty of assistants ready to help.

Really good clean and seamless to get about in. Parking is a rip off though.

Watched ELO here, October 2018. Great venue, circular format so stage is never too far away. Its just out of town centre so Easy to get to via public transport - 2 stops on train, or 15 mins walk

Kind of expensive for tickets generally but good experience

This venue is great for large concerts. Always get standing and I've never had a bad experience. Even at the back you get a great view.

Too much to-ing and fro-ing to the bars allowed, it ruins it for others

Two very different concerts last weekend. Paul McCartney and Madness. Loved both of them... There were fewer Madness fans, therefore it was nice to see some of the hydro seats covered to retain the party atmosphere. Our bags were checked for security which is reassuring

Great venue - went to see George Ezra and Sigrid. From seated area we could still see the full show from very comfy seats. Great that there are so many vendors (all same prices throughout arena from what I saw) and toilets.

Been to a few gigs here in both public and corporate area. Good parking facilities and choice of food. The main hall is very good for gigs. You can tell it was purpose built for live music as the acoustics are so good. There isn't a bad seat in the building for live music.

Big dome, seats are miles from the stage and the atmosphere is terrible.

Decent venue but the bars are shocking. Only choice is horrible beer and the service is slower than a week in jail!

Went there for a pantomime and it was great! Very well organised. However toilets get very busy and crowded.

It's big and lots of signs so there's no way you would get lost

Still don't know what the Hydro looks like inside. With no notice the Westlife concert became a standing event.
The seats we had paid for months in advance had been removed.
I understand that there has been a transport issue with the stage.
My wife would have been able to stand during the concert therefore we were unable to attend.

I only hope that we can get a refund on the tickets without jumping through hoops to get our money back.

Amazing place for concerts. The security staff were pleasent and helpful. Its the first concert i had been to so was clueless on what to do but they made sure i was kept right

Great concert, took too long to get served drinks and to visit the ladies toilet.

X Factor Tour. Great venue. Helpful staff. Great atmosphere. Looking forward to seeing Take That at the SSE Hydro in April. A+

Good for live music although not the best acoustics in Glasgow.

Saw depeche mode here, acoustics are good and it looks like a rainbow jellyfish feom the outside at night.

Standing area is quite small, so you are pretty close to the stage, even at the back.

Car parking is close by and can be accessed via a walkway.

Great pace and so easy to get around also no standing around for ages when leaving the building at the end of performance.Toilets really good aswell

Had an amazing time at the Xfactor tour and the staff were accommodating to my mum and myself who walk with walking sticks x

That was the event of the year 2018: Paul McCartney at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow. Good sound, clever seating architecture, easy access to indoor catering and a good mood among the Scots. Less enjoyable is the access, because the signage is designed Scottish stingy. You also have to know the entrances or ask the consistently nice Scots.
From Germany you can get there quickly by plane, you find a cheap hotel on the search platforms (eg Lorne Hotel). The public transport is great, the Uber- prices are a temptation.

Very expensive place. Food and drink quality is shockingly bad. No free parking aswell. You have no choice to park and pay the high prices if you want to have a good time. Still don't understand why this venue wasn't built in the capital city Edinburgh?

Great venue for shows and large concerts. Plus car park close to hand.

Enjoyed the Strictly show on Sat afternoon, but sometimes felt just to far away from the action and I was only on the first level up from the ground floor. Sounds were excellent and staff very helpful.

Love the hydro. Great venu for gigs. Food good, pricey but that's life!

Great sound i f you have the right sound engineer. Bouncers should try remember they are not demi gods. They are human and need to wind their necks in. They are not the law. They are there to help the public with seating etc. Not to decide if a sober person is too drunk to get in. If this gapp be to you just go to another door and you'll get in.
Car parking is over priced!!
