Of the little corners that I liked the most in the city ...
Great place for a concert, but double check the door opening times. We were told 6.30, but the first act didn't come on until 8. I'm sure it's just to get you in the venue purchasing there vastly over priced food and drink.
Saw Take That at the SSE. Great stage show and venue
visited for the dinosaur show and it was good, found the seating numbers, arena segment numbers and row numbers a little confusing. lots of people going to wrong segment and wrong elevation.
Amazing atmosphere and a brilliant showing of the Steemie
This really is the most awkward venue to navigate and when in the auditorium you are as far from the performers as if you were at the back of a festival crowd
Amazing night night. My son and I loved it.
Very recommended.
Great venue. No issues with queues for refreshments. Sound good
Went to see Take That. Quick entry through the door, quite a small arena which meant good views from every seat
Big, good sound, many places with food and drink, nice iluminated, near train station - 10 min to the center of the Glasgow
Great venue, modern and acoustically perfect for concerts
Amazing sound for all types of gigs. Food and drink is reasonable for that type of venue. Anything passed the second tier is no good for someone who is bad with heights.
Great venue. Been several times and always had a great time!
Good venue, toilets clean, easy to enter the building (clearly sign posted).
Great venue a shame about the amount of single use plastic being used. The drinks offered aren't up to much either
Seating really badly labelled. Very hard to see the letters and next to no staff on hand to help. Really bad if you have mobility issues. I was attending a concert and recently broke my ankle. I asked if there were lifts of if I could change seats. Staff were entirely disinterested and said no. I could get a lift part of the way but would have to walk the rest of the way. Their advice was walk slowly! Had to hobble up two large sets of stairs then additional ones to get to the seats. I'd definitely not choose to go back here. Nightmare getting back to our hotel afterwards too. Don't wait at the taxi stand. After an hour we gave up and downloaded the uber app!
Been there on Limp Bizkit and KoRn concert. Can't speak for people in mash pit below but on balconys sound quality is just terrible. Could bearly hear Fred's and Jonathan's voices :(
Good venue but drinks are awful. Warm, expensive, not nice.
Big, big big good sound I was in the standing section.
Great place and concert, just think a few more of the snack and bars should've been opened as it was 30 minute wait in the queue.
JW conference the best yet. Organisation impeccable as always, Praise Jehovah.
Excellent venue for large scale events. On the occasion, Hans Zimmer soundtracks. Could have been feeble, was first class entertainer. Good visuals and fine accoustics.
We were lucky enough to get a VIP Box for Cirque Du Soleil OVO. Its definitely the way to see a show. You are guided to your box, you have someone working in your area all night getting anything you need. Perfect seats, no one in front of you, no one getting up and down blocking your view.
Yes its expensive, but if you have a group of you all wanting to see the same thing it might be worth it! A really fabulous experience!
Great arena as always! Could do with better food available.
Enjoyed my first gig here on Friday night, sound was great and the seat provided a great view and was pretty comfortable. Great venue.
Great venue. Saw Rod Stewart here. Toilets good...fod and drink available. Long queues for drink tho. Sound and seating plan great.
Went to see Kevin bridges here, amazing building, friendly staff and also really helpful
Nickelback were great, shame about the price for parking
Fantastic went to see westlife here .Going back soon
We attended the European Gymnastics Championships in August. The location is very well serviced by public transport and the staff know what they are doing and get people in and out of the venue with no real fuss. The seating inside the venue is some of the most comfortable that I have sat on with good leg room as well. The place is well thought out with food outlets on many of the levels.
It's a great place perfect for concerts went to see Michael buble on my last visit.
I was there and went to the ports of experience, my woman took a pee and let go of the juice, the luck was close to the toilet, I washed the panties and the woman got washed. Drinks not too expensive but not for the pocket for a Polish bidok.
Really enjoyed my experience at The Hydro. We went to see Deacon Blue and Nile Rodgers in the same week before Christmas. Very different shows and the service, access and seats were great both times.
Brilliant place brilliant service people always willing to help or answer any queries
Great venue! Attended many gigs here! Always great sound and atmosphere!
Great venue for large concerts although leaving at end is a bit crowded. Unrestricted views of stage. Good sound
Was brillant- but not very disabled/eldery accessable and friendly when it comes to a change of programme of event/ performance nor to seating arrangements in the main centre/arena- there is limited railings for eldery/ people with medical conditions the are unable to stand very well in the blocks especially who are seated in upper levels which is very disappointing. The arena is can get very clammy, hot so buy lots of water/drinks to keep hydrated- and bring plenty money the food and marchendise stands are expensive. The vending machines are a little dodgey if buying flavoured water as they say the are sold out but they are clearly some in.Although Good overall concert/ event atmosphere- loud and lively very crammed for leg space in stalls so left up your seat if you want to dance or have a boogie.
Getting in was a nightmare with massive queues outside. Once inside too many people milling around getting drinks/food. Acoustics better than SECC halls but that's about it.
Great place to see shows been here a few times now and the staff are great
Been to a few events here now. Everything is well organised and efficient. Only negative is leaving the multi-story car park. Sometimes this can just take forever. I would definitely recommend pre-paying to speed up your exit.
Been trying for 2 weeks to call the accessibility number. At first there was no answer.... that was bad enough but now they eventually answer but just hang up.
Not good enough and really unprofessional, this was to be a christmas present for my disabled mother in law.
Roger Waters, Rod "the mod" Stewart, Paolo Nutini etc
Just seen elf the musical at the hydro brilliant but service for a drink diabolical never seen such slow service having worked at similar venue shocking service taxi at end of show took ages to get but at least area is marshalled
Good facilities, great seats. Can be crowded but what do you expect.
Brilliant show by Nile Rodgers and Chic, with good support acts too - Disco lives!
Really good entertainment venue. Plenty of room. The quest to get in are shocking though
Cool Arena, Simple Minds u. Kylie Minogue concerts were above cool. Fantastic the mood.
Great venue to see 21 Pilots, well worth travelling to from Birmingham..
