Transatlantic with very fun and very accurate environmental reconstructions.
There is the possibility of climbing the shrouds and a group of actors / stuntmen proposes small shows.

A well visited, famous ship , well done those that have invested in this magnificent place of history.
Have visited before ( a long time ago ) love the SS Great Britain but the icing on the cake was the new museum, it's a fantastic addition, well worth our second visit.
Great day out . A lot of history about Brunel and SS Great Britain
Absolutely fabulous! So much to see, we need to return!
Really interesting place. Tickets last all year, great value.
Loved the history of the ship and the way it is now presented in the dry dock where it was built.
Very Interesting
Initially I thought the entrance fee was a bit expensive but having visited I would say it is worth the money. The way the ships history and also preservation are displayed are done really well. Visitors should allow a few hours to see it properly.
Brilliantly restored historic ship. The interior has been restored to reflect the conditions nineteenth century passengers endured, with additional displays in the museum alongside. For those who are interested in such things, the ship has an exact replica of her original engine installed. There is an opportunity for fit visitors to climb the mast. For disabled visitors there are lifts providing access to all parts of the ship as well as the dry dock. A thoroughly interesting day out.
An excellent visit. We spent three hours here and did not have time to see it all. Entered through a large gift shop into the cobbled Great Western Dockyard and it was like stepping back in time to 1843. The ship has been beautifully More
Fantastic place. Ticket valid for a year and worth returning.
Nice ship, must see. Lovely re-enacted scenes of life onboard inside the ship. Many informations around the history of the S.S. Great Britain.
What an insightful experience. Everything down to the smells. Everybody needs to do it
Must visit attraction. Learn about thr history of the ship in a fun way
Excellent museum and facilities - a fascinating day out with beautiful surroundings. Lots of photo opportunities.
Its a great ship to visite. i love the history in this ship and the musuem around the ship. I would go again if i could.
A very impressive site, resting place of the SS Great Britain built by Brunel. A fantastic looking ship which is an impressive sight and fantastic to explore both above deck and below. You can see the cramped steerage class accomodation and the more spacious luxurious first class section.
Hard to imagine living in the conditions on those long voyages to Australia.
There is a good museum section and dockside, plus a really good giftshop.
Well worth the admission price, especially when they have re-enactors on site during their special event days.
Full of details and things to see. It is really worthvit. I spent there like 3 hours
Brilliant, very well done. Loved the mast climbing and the realistic rats
The ship is amazing but the Brunel memorabilia in the Museum was utterly fascinating.
Fascinating peek into the lives and history of the worlds first cruise ship. Great info, doscents, complete with smells, sounds and reenactment!
Great to place to visit, especially the new Brunel section. If takes you through his life, how he achieved things and his drawings/creations.
There is even a video which takes you through his viewpoint and thoughts throughout his life with certain achievements.
Plus of course you get to go onto the ship, which is a great insight to the different classes of the Victoria era, and how they would have traveled.
Definitely recommend a visit to your SS Great Britain if you are in the Bristol area.
Beautiful ship with lots to see both inside and out.
Wow Wow and Wow what a fantastic experience well worth a visit. It was Fantastic from start to finish. It is my first ever visit to Bristol and the SS GREAT BRITAIN. I will certainly be back. It would be great fun and interesting for all the family. It is the best historical visit I have ever made.
An amazing experience about a fantastic piece of British nautical history. Lots to see and the entrance fee allows unlimited return for a year
We went and had a lovely day husband has always wanted to go and loved it but me and kids enjoyed ourselves too. Good procedures in place for covid safety and love the fact ticket is valid for a year as we felt there was a lot more to experience than we managed in the day and we plan in going back
Great museum for the price! Really cool if you've not been, both for adults and children alike!
Fantastic! Cannot praise this event enough. Will go again as there is so much to see.
Much more to see than expected. Will easily keep you occupied for 3-4 hours if you take it all in.
Nice restaurant with views of the river. Suitable for most ages and access is good.
Very reasonable entry price considering the quality & quantity of stuff to do.
I really love that it was the best day ever and seeing that ship inspired me so get a souvenir
Very good experience except for the poor and wro g advice given by the man on the ticket counter.
Great museum to learn the history of the maritime in Bristol
Great day out ..ticket baked for a year neice got in with her blue Peter badge for free great day will b back
Spent ages at this place. Plenty to see and do. The cafe isn't very good
Fabulous visit. 4 hours not long enough. Will definitely return.
Brilliant day out so much to see, you can explore most of the ship!
Great place to visit.... Very very tricky for anybody disabled to get around
A fascinating visit. What a remarkable achievement in bringing this old lady back to life. I last visited in about 1978, when she was just a hull with walkways. Now it's like a step back in time with the insides recreated so carefully. Also I love the way the ticket bought yesterday at a standard sort of price for this type of visit, actually remains valid to be used again at any time in the next year. Fantastic.
Friendly staff, well maintained museum. Mostly indoor attraction.
I really enjoyed it and now I understand what so many people endured in there lives and what a great piece of history the ship is.
Very informative and there was great interest shown by the children at the interactive sections
SS Great Britain is a great and unique "museum".
Since the opening the museum has so much evolved!
Now you can go inside the boat and see how it was as if you were a passenger. You can go on each deck and even under to admire the boat's hull! I really enjoyed my time there. I passed nearly 3 hours watching, reading and listening to the stories told by passionate employees. And I would have needed more time there.
If you come to Bristol, you have to take a look at this wonderful place.
The dockyard is also a nice place to have a walk and see giant cranes and other dock stuff. Wonderful!
Seriously well presented bit of history - well done team
Well worth a visit, with 2 museums, the ship itself and the dry dock. Three hours flew by and we didn't even manage to see everything. The ship is particularly interesting, being a passenger steamship designed by Brunel.
Great experience, nice stuff, beautiful museum. Were there with group of kids and they and also me enjoyed it. Recommend!
Very interesting, very well documented, beautiful to visit this boat. Impressive.
Great place to visit. If you're not scared of heights then climb the rigging. Great views of Bristol.
Interesting exhibit on a groundbreaking vessel. Good overview of the history of the ship although I found the reversal of the exhibit timeline a little confusing (runs from present to past rather than the reverse).
Love visiting here, such a lot to see, so interesting and committed volunteers.
Amazing tourist attraction. the staff are friendly.a really nice gift shop they have.
great place. lots to do. I climbed the mast on the ship!
A fantastic, fascinating exhibition on and around the most important ship ever built. Brilliantly done and well worth it.
An amazing feat of Engineering, lovingly preserved and recreated. Well worth a visit, and the tickets last for a year.
Loads of staff all over the place to help you out and had a grate understanding of the history about the vessels history id deifently fo again
Lots to see for young & old. We had a tour guide which i would recommend if possible to understand the whole story. Nice cafe/restaurant for a bite to eat there or lots if nearby places to go to too.
Lovely museum that gives a detailed history about Bristol and the SS itself is interesting to look around, it's been kept in great shape! You could easily spend a couple of hours there!
Brilliant exhibition. Really enjoyed it. Well worth a visit.
Amazing exhibition about the history of an iron hull boat covering 160 years of sailing. Launch in1843, emigrant clipper from 1852 until 1882 when converted to windjammer, 1933 when ship's life ended in Falkland Islands and 1970 when it was rescued. If you are lucky you may see the engine in motion. Full price ticket is 12.5 pounds and lasts for a year.
Loved it! Lots of interest for adults and children, so much to see.
An interesting day out, I visited here back in the eighties and they have obviously made huge strides in the restoration process since then. It was interesting to compare the shell of the ship I remember to the renovated ship of today with cabins, a state room, several decks etc
